Been trying to eat here for over a week Maybe they shutdown Everyone tells me to go try them but they are never open will try one more time but after that I give up

Ordered a oyster poboy,no oysters. Chaged to roast beef poboy,no roast beef. Ordered lunch special catfish nuggets and fries. Nuggets was belly meat with silver lining on it. Not good. Wife had shrimp poboy and gumbo. Bread was hard and she said gumbo was so so. Overall friendly, clean,cool place just not so good food experience for us.

Prices are crazy $2 bread fee for a $11 poboy crazy

Food was decent. Waitress was polite and prompt with service. Very limited seating. Recommend if you try the food, order take out due to limited seating. Went for lunch on February 12th. They were out of roast beef when we went so could not try the roast beef poboy. I ate red beans instead and they were decent.

My rating reflects my experience. The food itself was good. Not really worth the price imo tho. First ordered a bottled root beer WHICH WAS EXPIRED. It was only a month but you could tell there was a lack of carbonation which does affect the flavor. Next we had planned to eat in the diner during my son's lunch break. He has an hour so I thought that'd be enough time. He did order their pizza burrito, which by the way has very little Mariana or mozzarella - it's mostly just meats. Apparently it takes almost an hour to cook. It was supposed to come with a salad which we never got. But as soon as the food finally came out we had to leave to get him back in time. Which meant by the time I even got to eat my burger was cold AF. Over $33 for a "pizza" burrito and a cold hamburger.

If you love real burgers , stop by coaches poboys! Low prices, real food.

One word.... Overpriced! Could find nothing special. The roast beef is a little bit better than Glenn's. But nothing that you can't fix yourself with some salt. Not worth the extra money especially $4.50 for a hot dog with chili!! Not near as good as a Zesto dog!!

I would not recommend this place, the food is not very good and extremely overpriced! When I commented about the quality of food and cost, the owner threatened to sue me for SLANDER?

When I tell you they make a GOOOOOD mouth watering homemade hamburger. ( with gravy 🤣🤣) I'm well pleased..

ordered two big lunches, the country fried steak, and the oyster plate. i told the person taking the order twice that i would need a lot of pickles and tartar sauce. They gave me five pickles, no tartar, no silverware. The lady in the front rudely demanded another worker to get our drinks. three times. before another worker told her that the girl was getting it. the price felt a little high but it would definitely be worth it if the food was good so i didnt think much of it. Half of the food was inedible and got thrown away...the french fries were cold crinkle cut fries with no seasoning cooked in obviously old grease, the onion rings were brown... not golden brown, just brown. the okra had a reallly weird taste that just didnt seem right at all. the steak was bland and mushy, the oysters were just okay...the potato salad was actually good! I would not have left a review had i felt i got what i paid for but i had to return to the restaurant to get tartar sauce, silver ware, and pickles. This was my second and last time trying this place.

This is a small spot that I wish was open for dinner. The food is very good. Great poboys. They all come with chow-chow, so if you want just Mayo you have to specify. It’s good southern cuisine and they always have good plate specials. I have never had a bad experience here. Very enjoyable southern comfort food.

Best lunch in Bogalusa no doubt

I haven’t been able to find a business that has been able to make really great hot sausage or roast beef poboys since Rag”s closed down in Mandeville. Now I finally have!! Their poboys are delicious and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely be going back again

Got a plate of red beans with some mash potatoes and gravy. That was the best home cookin I've had in a while. I will definitely be back.

The Cajun gravy cheese fries are amazing. Gotta brag on the employees they are nice and always smiling!

We ate at Coachs Poboy for the first time last week and it was fantastic!! We also love the fact that they sale Sugar Love King cake from Slidell!! And the staff was very nice! Definitely going back!

Loved the atmosphere of this place....Very Clean! The gumbo and roast beef poboy made me feel as if I was at home. Great tasting food. Staff was amazing. We also got to watch first hand the New owners go above and beyond with serving not only one but two customers to go orders after closing. We will be returning.

I hesitate to leave a good review for this place because it's already so busy and packed! I want to make sure I always have a table. But seriously, it's great food and the staff is fantastic. So friendly and they really get to know their customers. They bring our drinks to the table as soon as we come in. Everything we've tried has been amazing. Best beef poboy I've ever had, my picky teenager gets mad if we go here without her. She's obsessed with their frito pie and burgers. It's a shame they're only open for lunch and during the week, but I completely understand and will continue to be a regular. Edited to add: ownership has changed and for a while, it wasn't as good. But I'll chalk it up to them getting their footing. Yesterday we tried it again and it was amazing. Planning to go back today!

Absolutely LOVE their food!! Their gravy fries, roast beef poboys, and burgers are awesome!! Definitely a go to for food when we’re in town. Their lunch specials are great as well!!

Amazing food! The owner and the staff is wonderful and friendly. Pj the owner he walks around greets and checks everyone to make sure your food is good. Love that they do different specials different day. They are always asking for different ideas which is a wonderful idea. Thank you very much! Maybe you should try chicken quesadilla, steak quesadilla, Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, Philly cheesesteak quesadilla, different kinda wraps. Recommend this place!

Best gumbo I've had in a long time and the roast beef po boy was perfect and the service was excellent just good ppl and good food. I also love their crawfish ettouffe over crab cakes. Mrs. Brenda and Coach are such nice people!

This is one of the best places to go for lunch. It's a hidden treasure of Bogalusa. Coach is a person that owns it and cooks your food. You will not be disappointed. I assure you.

Roast beef poyboy was dry, I've never gotten a dry Roast beef before.

Lots of specials to choose from. And if you walk away hungry it's your own fault. Huge portions.

This is where you take your family and friends. Family run restaurant with very tasty poboys and fixin's. The staff make this place five star. The roast beef is excellent. The meat is seasoned and then cut into thick deli style cuts. It's definitely a home run and worth stopping by just to give this a try. The shrimp poboy is very tasty with flaky bread and all the right dressings. The shrimp is delicately fried and the combination of textures and flavors. The gumbo is a great side dish and each person should have their own cup. My wife handed me half her cup of gumbo to try and was very upset when I accidentally ate it all. The restaurant and the bathrooms are very clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant to interact with. Why aren't you there yet?

I travel to Bogalusa quite often and go out of my way to make a stop at this location. It is a small sandwich/plate lunch shop but it is not short on flavor or portions. They serve a variety of dishes but can't get past the great po-boys. Can't imagine there is a better barbecue beef or hamburger po-boy on the planet. Coach is a nice man , x football hero and lots of his family work around the place. Nice family feel to the place

Landed here for gas and for some lunch and this place was recommended by the airport staff. I had the 1/2 poboy and cup of gumbo as recommended by the extremely kind and attentive waitress. What came out of the kitchen was seriously, not only the best poboy I've ever had, but the best roast beef I've tasted. I work in lower LA quite a bit for work and have had poboys from NOLA to Lafayette and this place was a true testament to poboy cuisine.

If you are looking for the real deal, this is it. We had soft shell crab po-boys and they were to die for. My 80+ year old mom is from Bogalusa and she ate a whole one (see photo). I wish I could have eaten two. The service is friendly and they are eager to please, we were eating lunch at 3:00pm and they could not have been nicer and the food couldn't have been fresher. We highly recommend this place!!
