We love Amy's! My kid likes the steamed pork buns and mooncakes. I love the mille cakes and bubble tea. For delightful Asian pastries worth crossing bridges for... 2 years later: Still awesome

I went in for breakfast pastry but was delighted to find they had eel and rice. It's one of my favorite foods, and it was such a generous portion for a great price. We also got a slice of Earl Grey crepe cake that was lovely to share. I'm very excited to try some of their other food items beyond the bakery offerings.

I stopped in with a good friend of mine and decided to check it out. I got the Chocolate Crap Cake (for my friend), the Mango Crap Cake & two Strawberry Cakes (one for my friend and one for me). Unfortunately, everything that I got, but most especially the Strawberry Cakes gave both of us really bad diarrhea. I'm never going there ever again and will be telling people not to go there as well. The people working there and the place are both nice, but the food made my friend and me both sick and gave us horrible diarrhea. Highly DO NOT recommend.

Amy's bakery is a staple in Mount Lebanon. Whenever I am in the area, I find myself stopping by to try something new. The pastries and desserts are not only delicious, but unique and authentic. I appreciate that the bakery items are not too sweet, yet still packed with flavor. You can taste the soulfulness in each bite! The cherry on top is the welcoming atmosphere and friendly service.

Awesome bakery with lots of unique and delicious items! They aren’t just a bakery with sweet treats, but also serve boba, dumplings, and some sort of shaved ice I believe. It’s an awesome place. I tried the egg tarts, cream puffs, and crispy pineapple buns. The egg tarts were quite tasty. Not too strong of a flavor and relatively light, for an egg tart. They are small and perfect for a quick dessert. Nothing too crazy, but simple and tasty. The pineapple bun unfortunately didn’t have any real pieces of pineapple on it. But, it was still very good. The dough itself is very soft, fluffy, and airy. It is not heavy by any means. The top is crispy and sugary, but the bun itself doesn’t have a ton of flavor. There’s something in the middle but it’s not too discernible. Still, quite tasty. Finally, the cream puff. This was huge and delicious! It was filled with tons of cream, which was surprisingly not too sweet, and more buttery, almost. The dough is also tasty, similar to that of the bun. I’d highly recommend this. All in all, this is an amazing bakery in Mt. Lebo, and one of the few Asian bakeries near the city. Great menu, solid prices, lots of variety. Check it out!

As a San Francisco transplant here and someone whose whole childhood was in neighborhoods with places like these, I must say this is one of the greatest gifts Pittsburgh has to offer. Amy's is very, very good. My friends come in from. The city and CMU just because of this place. Love them.

This bakery is the only one that can rival the French La Gourmandine bakery… Amy is a very talented lady, her staff is always professional and on point, you can actually tell that all the stuff really is made right in house.. I miss the rolled ice cream bummed out that I never stopped by in the summer to get some, but I’ve been coming here quite often past few weeks and ive been addicted to the lychee bubble tea, i always come in and tell myself im only gonna get 1-2 items and end up getting like 8 pastries and my lychee tea XD. its totally worth it though, the peach cream cheese bun is amazing, their crepe cakes are also rlly good, im eating the sea salt foam cake right now and cant get enough XD XD quire literally everything ive ever gotten here has been top notch quality. Ur the absolute best Amy, thank you for opening up an absolute masterpiece of a bakery thats 5 minutes from my house!!

So so delicious. Amy's is my favorite dessert place in Pittsburgh. The crêpe cakes are the best, especially the durian one if you like durians. Super creamy and rich flavors. All the desserts and drinks have a delicious texture and are lightly sweetened but not too sweet.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND If you’re looking for authentic Chinese/Asian pastries, you should definitely check this place out! They offer BUBBLE TEA , over 30 different DESSERT and BUNS, etc. Amy, who is incredibly kind, creates delicious pastries. I also ordered a birthday cake from them; you can share your requests with Amy, and she’ll bring your ‘dream’ cake to life!

This is a hidden gem of an Asian bakery in the Pittsburgh area. They have so many delicious desserts like mochi and crepe cake, plus fantastic boba. I really enjoyed the chocolate crepe cake and my wife enjoyed her mango mochi. The boba used for the bubble tea has a softer, more delicate texture than most boba I’ve sampled, which I really enjoyed. The workers are friendly and professional and the whole shop has a charming appeal to it. Definitely recommend for some hard to find confections in Pittsburgh, even if it is out of the way for you. Totally worth a special trip!

The best bakery In Pittsburgh hands down. We ordered a strawberry cake that just looks simply divine. Before leaving they gave us some custard sprinkled with chocolate. Let me just say I wish they had more because that was the best pastry I have ever tried. I simply recommend that everyone try this bakery:)

About the Place: Finding street parking can be a bit challenging on the busy street where this bakery is located. However, it's worth noting that this place offers a unique combination of being both a cafe and a rolled ice cream corner, making it a good location for a variety of treats. About the Food: When it comes to the food, this bakery has an impressive selection of different pastries and cakes. I particularly enjoyed the pineapple mooncake, which was surprisingly good and even better than what I had in San Francisco's Chinatown. The egg tart holds a special place in my heart - it struck the perfect balance between sweet and egg flavors. We also decided to try the Coconut Milk Boba Tea. While the boba pearls themselves were a bit chewy, the drink itself was a refreshing and novel experience. Overall, the bakery offers a mix of enticing treats, making it a worthy four-star destination.

I just had the most amazing pork buns, since being in upper Manhattan. This place is amazing! Similar rolled ice cream, but you'd be missing so much more if you didn't try the authentic Chinese baked goods and the rich, delicious, complex strawberry milk bubble green tea. Red bean, egg, taro, seaweed, and sesame to name just a few of the complex flavors this bakery delivers. Fantastic menu, friendly staff, do stop in. A hidden gem of it's own on a road of hidden gems. Will be ensuring i make time and habits to enjoy more of this shop! Amy, where have your shop's incredible items been all my life!? Id have pics to post of their perfect, fluffy, sweet, savory pork stuffed buns.... but they were just too good to stop eating to take pictures of!

Amy’s Bakery is a unique place in the Pittsburgh area in regards to the Asian-style pastries/beverages they serve. It is located on a busy street with little street parking, so be prepared to enter a garage or feed the meter if you’re visiting during daytime hours. I can only comment on the Chocolate Crepe cake that I purchased on a recommendation from a colleague. This and a Matcha Crepe cake seem to be one of their specialties. Unfortunately I wasn’t very impressed by the Chocolate Crepe cake. The cake is composed of multiple Crepe layers, filled with a chocolate mousse, and dusted with cocoa powder on top. The cake was almost slimy and had an eggy/chocolatey taste. It honestly felt like I was just eating a bowl of regular chocolate mousse. The slice is fairly pricey too at $8.00. The lady at the register was a bit short with me and continued to talk on her phone as she took my order and I paid. She never stopped to say thank you or even look up at me as she handed me my bagged cake. The shop is very clean and bright on the inside. I don’t think I’ll be returning however.

The place has a wide variety of pastries and baked goodies. Unlike a lot of dessert places around, this place doesn't just add sugar and call something a dessert. The staff is very friendly. A good place to start if you want to try Chinese pastry. Prices are not expensive. You can also eat indoors.

Amy's bakery is unlike any other bakery in town. One item I have never seen at any other place is their signature rolled ice cream. They have a great collection of pastries and confectionary items. They also serve lots of varieties of bubble teas. If you are in the Mt. Lebanon downtown area, this is a must visit !!!
