We had lunch at the Little Red Schoolhouse on Sunday and it was most excellent. The staff was really good at explaining how everything works, such as placing an order and getting a cool little pager to inform you when everything is ready. My girlfriend had wonderful seafood as well as garlic fries. I had rings to die for and my steak and cheese was mouth watering with all the fixings. We loved the upper deck with the beautiful views of the Pemi. We'll be back for more of this place for sure!

Fried clam plate was excellent clam chowder too spicy for me. Service was outstanding 👏

I ordered a fish sandwich. I was disappointed because the piece of fish was so small. I looked over at a man that also had a fish sandwich and his piece of fish was huge. I was very disappointed to see this. I hadn’t been there in a couple of years and probably won’t go back.

Great food with nice surroundings.

Such a fun and delicious experience. While in town visiting last weekend we made a trip up. The food was fantastic, some of the best Onion rings I have had in a long time! the views were perfect I can’t imagine this in the fall. Also the little shop in the front was so cute.

Awesome fisherman's platter. As good as you get even compared to Gloucester. Not sure how they do it. Epic view while eating.

Second best lobster rolls I've ever eaten. Honestly could've been #1 but the grease from the onion rings made my roll a bit soggy. Kids had the burgers, again very greasy, but full of flavor. Seating is limited and they get super busy. Nice little spot though, would go back.

A unique experience- local mom pop restaurant overlooking a cliff. Food was good and the view is unbelievable. A great stop for motorcycle and BDR riders.

The view is amazing, service was fast and friendly and the food was great. Lots of vegetarian options. Fries were great. Affordable. So glad we detoured off the highway and found it.

I had fried clams which were very good, Garlic fries were precooked and tasted a little cold/old. Other meals were described as better than average. It's counter service. The team was very pleasant but you get and toss your own stuff. Great treehouse atmosphere, made up for other average stuff. Ice cream was okay, Strawberry Short cake was tasty. Expensive.

Upon arrival, another customer recommended the hot butter lobster roll and garlic fries...they were a great choice! Really enjoyed sitting up on the top deck and eating. Highly recommend this great little place

Ordered a cheese burger with fries: waited 25 minutes for soggy fries. The gentleman who ordered at the counter after me, got their food before me. I asked if there was an issue with my order and it immediately appeared (with luke warm, soggy fries). The view was nice but for $17.36 (before tip), I do not recommend the food.

When I say stop reading the reviews and just go, I mean it!! No black tie event, come as you are but just come with an empty belly. We walked in for the first time and the welcomed us with such warmth! They gave us a menu and thankfully we had no one behind us so we were able to talk to the ladies about the menu. The menu options are just straight silly, they have anything for everyone! Even the picky eaters! The food is top notch but the staff make the experience. They were funny, helpful and made us feel like a regular on the first time. Will absolutely be coming back when in the area. They are super allergy aware as well! The ladies deserve a raise!

This place was great, I love the whole atmosphere to it. Eating on the roof outside almost gives it a treehouse feel. The service was amazing. the people were super friendly and helpful about how the restaurant works. The food was delicious, my burger was a little undercooked in the center but that's OK for me, it was still good.

This is the perfect NH spot. First, the atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. The view is wonderful. Service was great, very friendly and fast. Lastly the food, outstanding. The graduation grilled cheese was the best sandwich I've ever eaten. The steak and cheese was huge and flavorful. The chicken finger plate was huge. The fries were handcut. The people next to us had the lobster rolls on buttered buns, they were overflowing with lobster. There is also a craft room and the handmade items for sale were so reasonably priced and adorable.

My mother, sister and I (we’re all black) waited over 30 min for our food to be ready, a white women and her child came in about 20 min after us and ordered the exact same meal. They were served their food before us and we were still waiting another 15 min. When we went to complain they started making our food. Racist establishment, don’t recommend if you’re any race besides white because they will not serve you in a timely manner.

This place has been on my radar for a while now. Exceeded my expectations. Food was excellent. We got the hot buttered lobster roll, bacon jam burger, and onion rings. Great portions. Great views. Definitely busy so expect a small wait for your food. We waited about 30 minutes around noon on a Saturday. It was 100% worth the trip. We will be back!

Really cute place.... Ordered hot buttered lobster roll, small portion of lobster and was cold...roll was probably the best part, the fries were cold, as it had probably been sitting, disappointing for $32 which Included a soda. Probably won't stop there again. Staff seemed to be very disorganized but they were friendly.

Oh. My. Goodness. This place was amazing! Servers were friendly and humorous. View was absolutely beautiful. I’ve had many lobster rolls but the A+ Lobster roll was easily the best I’ve ever had. Meat was cooked to perfection with a hint of lemon. Highly recommend for any lobster or seafood lover.

Unassuming little place in a very unassuming little spot. Had the crab sandwich and it hit pretty good. Tried the lobster meat from their lobster roll and it tasted how it should, even in the woods of NH. Not often you get to eat in a ... treehouse. Would stop again.

Was skeptical at first, yet the name made us go try it out. Did not disappoint, food was good and the view is awesome. Can only imagine it look better during the fall foliage. Order at the counter, and once its ready you go get it. While you wait, shop the craft shop in front. Keep doing what your doing, we'll be back soon.

Loaded lobster rolls! We tried the hot butter and the mayo (A+). Hot butter was our favorite, but both were delicious. Every bite of lobster was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.

The setting is unique. The view is fantastic. Food is well above average but not what I would call fantastic. They have some unusual pairings of lobster. Price is about average for lobster.

One of the most fantastic and unforgettable dining experiences I have ever had. The staff was friendly and happy to answer questions. We ordered the A+ and BLT lobster rolls and we both agreed it was the best lobster rolls we have ever had. We sat on the roof which was basically a tree house overlooking the mountains and it was simply beautiful. It was the perfect lunch and I am so happy we chose to eat here for our anniversary. Also, the attached gift shop had some of awesome crafts! Gotta check it out on your way in/out.

What a cool place. While at bike week we stopped for a bite while on a ride. There was 13 of us just dropping in. They handled us without skipping a beat. The absolute BEST lobster roll I've ever had. $23 , but worth every penny. They load it up ! I left stuffed & barely touched my fries. Super friendly staff. The outside dinning area is built on a cliff. What an awesome view. I'll make it at point to return every time I'm in the area, guaranteed ! So I'll be seeing ya next fthr day weekend. Don't change a thing ! (First picture was from 3 years ago. The 2nd is from 2024) The only thing changed was the price. Lobster roll went from $23 to almost $30. I don't blame them though. I blame Biden !

Amazing food, good atmosphere, clean bathrooms.

Fantastic little seafood place. The food was great and the back deck has an amazing view of the woods and mountains. Worth noting that the bathrooms were pretty damn clean too. The lobster roll was entirely claw meat but was generous and good.

Could you get some adults in this establishment instead of teenagers. We ordered Philly cheese rolls and of course they didn't have any. So we got a cheeseburger and that took over 20 minutes to come out. Didn't you just open for the season so why isn't the kitchen stocked? If you had proper staff in adults to run this place it might work better.

Dynamite! Loved it. The guys had the hot buttered lobster rolls. The ladies had the clam plate. Everyone got onion rings and slaw. And the clam chowder. Remarkably good. As good as we’ve had anywhere. Counter service. Bus your own. Plastic silverware. No problem. Doesn’t pretend to be anything other than an iconic destination with Excellent! food. Loved it. YES! The lobster 🦞rolls are delicious! They look small but are jam-packed with a generous portion of lobster meat! The Haddock plate was spot on! Perfect pick when looking for a unique eatery experience! Recommend to visit here in the peak summer season. Otherwise the porch is buttoned up in plastic screening, blocking any chance at a view. Parking is TIGHT... leave the pick up truck at home! Very, very long wait to receive food, and limited seating. They were out of several items on the menu, including soft drinks. The top porch was poorly lit and very cold after 5pm. Will visit again next season!

This place was awesome! I would love to come in the summer to experience the food and the view. It was raining when I went, but the food made up for it.

If I was in a wheelchair I wouldn't be able to get into the dining room everything's very close quartered the stools are not great for a person with handicap they only had one table with four chairs. Most of the food that I wanted they had run out of stock

We went there on Sunday. It was very busy, I heard more than usual because of a tiktok post. They ran out of some items, that's how unexpectedly busy they were. I saw a lot of people leaving because of that. We waited more than a hour to get our lobster rolls and fish and chips. After that long I asked about our order. They gaves us 45 minutes upon ordering. We were told someone else ate our food. Things happen, no biggie. My buttered roll was very good. My garlic fries were hard and room temperature. Seems to me they were fried for a bit before hitting my plate. We got to eat our food on the top deck. Nice view even though 2 pine are blocking a greater view. My husband loved their lemon shandy. Staff was pleasant. It's was an overall good experience but if someone asked me if it's worth driving 2 hours (we did!) I would say no.

2 hour wait, half the menu wasn't available. We're sad we couldn't stay.

Hands down best lobster roll. Came with so much lobster meat, we almost didn’t finish. We got the last scoop of the pumpkin ice cream of the season and it was delicious.

My friends and I just stopped here after a 10 mile hike at Mt. Washington. The food was heaven sent. I got the Gen Ed. burger with fries and it was PERFECT. So juicy, so fresh, so delicious. AND!! The ladies who served us today (cashier and cooks) were so sweet :,). I’m so happy we stopped here for food after hours of hiking. 🥹❤️

When you walk in, the atmosphere screams hole in the wall. After you eat the food, you want to come back again. Plotting your return. The hot buttered lobster is so worth writing home about. Get the pen and paper. The kids grilled cheese is big and sooo yummy. And the chicken tender plate is a lot to eat and so good. With the kids meal you get free ice cream. For the kid, of course. The staff seem to be highschool/college kids. And they were awesome. Very nice and welcoming. Can't wait to go back, hopefully before we go back to MD.

That is some damn good lemonade!! We got the chicken/fries and a side of onion rings and the onion rings were spot on-thin and crispy! Great fries and good chicken. And finally, somewhere that offers sweet and sour. Super good, would highly recommend.

Yes yes 100 times yes. Drop everything...go now. This place does everything right... the lobster rolls. incredible. The fried food...it doesn't get better... most recently had the fisherman's platter...by far the best fried scallops I've ever had in my life. Staff was friendly and working there butts off during a busy dinner rush. Food still came out in timely fashion. For a being a little spot tucked in the woods off the highway... it's a destination. I'll be back

We went here for the lobster rolls as I've never had one. I wasn't disappointed. It was very good, lots of claw meat and hot butter. The garlic fries are SO good as well.

Drove an hour and it was so worth it. Probably the best hot buttered lobster roll I've ever had. And the onion rings were fabulous. We highly recommend this adorable restaurant. Definitely will be back.

Surprising seafood in NH overlooking a river.

The staff were all very nice and friendly. The food was good. The only thing is the hush puppies were dry but everything else was good.

Lovely food with a great view. I only had their Spanish Burger but I’d imagine you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Their homemade lemonade is amazing!

Lobster roll was delicious and the view is amazing.

This is a small outdoor covered venue with limited parking and seating. Food is ordered at the counter and picked up at a window when it’s ready. The food is very good is very good. We shared the coconut shrimp plate with coleslaw and side salad. A friend of ours had the lobster roll and said it was better than the one he got in Maine. We topped it off with hand dipped ice cream.

Found this place on a whim, and it was great! I had the Bacon Jam Burger while my wife had the BLT. We also had the Bruschetta appetizer, so simple but so delicious! The burger was tender, juicy and large. The Bacon Jam tasted awesome, but it did hang around with me for a while. The rain kept us from eating on the top deck, unfortunately, but we still took in the view. Friendly staff too. Definitely put this on your list of places to eat.

Omg talk about a little slice of heaven hidden away in the canopy. The French fries were the best I've ever had. They are freshly cut and fried and man does it make a difference. I bought an extra for the ride home. I also had the steak and cheese, it's called something school related but can't recall it. That was pretty good too. My husband was actually quiet and moaning with every bite so I am pretty sure he enjoyed his fish sandwich lol. It is so amazing with food, pricing, and atmosphere. A little sad they were out of the cookies for the ice cream sandwich which was amazing last time but the Brownie sundae had you swimming in chocolate ooey gooey goodness.

We had a wonderful lunch consisting of fried clams and a lobster roll. The French fries were great as well. The server was gracious, friendly, and helpful. We will be back.

This place is so fun! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. I got the A+ lobster roll, one of my son's got the cheese steak sub with peppers and onion and my youngest got the kids chicken tenders (comes with a little ice cream, your choice of flavor, for dessert). Best lobster roll I have had in years. Very light and tasty. View is spectacular.

Talk about a great spot off the beaten path. This restaurant serves seafood and it is worth the visit. The fish meals were great and the lobster roll was top notch. For sides we had fries and onion rings which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Beside the food we sat on the top roof deck with the view of the white mountains. A GREAT LUNCH SPOT.

Went for dinner and had the Spanish burger and lobster roll. The lobster was fresh and the onion rings are thin and crispy. The burger was delicious, lots of butter but great combination of ingredients, perfectly cooked. Also, they have a great selection of beverages. Was looking forward to having the fried pickles but unfortunately they were out of them so will need to go back! Overall a great experience, service and view!

Whether you pick a picnic table outside under the trees, in their upper or lower deck, this place will make any trip worth the drive. The seafood is fresh, the fish and chip is one of the best I had. Elevated the game with a fantastic grill cheese. The views are worth the admission!!! Super friendly and efficient staff, prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you are getting.

What a nice little joint! Everything we had was good! Maybe a little under salted but I’d prefer it to be under than over. The cold lobster roll was delicious with the splash of lemon juice. Surprisingly, the think onion rings were really good. The clam chowder was good but came out a little cold. The special clam strips that came with fries were also well prepared and delicious. Overall, this place did not disappoint and I’m glad I stopped by.
