Our experience at Aragosta was magical. Every bite of the 3-course bar menu was exceptional, as were the cocktails. And of course the location is stunning. What truly made it so special was the service (thank you to the delightful Alex at the bar).

Booked an 8pm reservation for the a la carte menu. Small menu and we were expecting this to be a much more scaled down version of the tasting menu before we arrived. Staff friendly, seated quickly, and the restaurant is as beautiful as everyone describes. Paper napkins should have been our first clue that it wasn’t going to be what we hoped. We ordered almost everything off of the menu and the timing of the dishes was something out of Applebee’s. Within 15 minutes every dish was out and our table covered. Salmon crudo and oysters were very good but other food was meh- certainly not what you expect when you drive through an enchanted forest to get to the restaurant. Drink offerings were limited and when we inquired if they had a more extensive bar list the waitress told us they were working from a limited “beach bar” and couldn’t tell us what bourbons they carried other than Elijah Craig? Overall, if you are planning to travel to get to this place hold out for the tasting menu. That seems to have consistent positive reviews and would make the trip worth it.

The location was gorgeous! We felt like we were in a secret hideaway with all of the cool kids. The large picnic tables were adorably set with mismatched vintage plates. The rosé was delicious. The hibiscus margarita was very disappointing…without flavor. The food was unimaginative and not very thoughtful of vegans. There were two overpriced menu items for vegetarians.

We had an amazing experience during our prefix dinner. Each dish was imaginative and delicious. The interior of the restaurant is simply beautiful and the service was excellent. Can’t way to go back

Stunning setting friendly staff fresh creative food

What a wonderful location, overlooking the ocean on a gorgeous deck with immaculate landscaping. I can’t overstate how beautiful and well imagined the compound was. Which, considering the attention to detail everywhere walking in, the food and service came as a shock. And I understand there are sometimes just bad days where things don’t go right, and I hope that’s all this was. We booked the an à la carte experience, and ordered two cocktails and three dishes. The drinks seemed boozy to hide the fact they tasted premade, and the food was under seasoned, but the worst thing were the blackened cauliflower tacos. The cauliflower was so burnt it crumbled into ash when you applied any pressure, to the point that you couldn’t taste anything else in the dish. Not to mention that when we put our card out on the table not 15 minutes after being served having barely touched out the majority of our food, the server didn’t ask a single question of us. Again, I hope this was just a fluke and the result of a bad day. And I hope everyone who has the chance to go has a wonderful experience.

Beautiful venue overlooking Goose Cove well worth the road trip to get there. A fantastic tasting menu, local fresh plates, the service was amazing, such a fabulous experience for us. Each course was spectacular…I can’t tell you how excited I was with the presentation and the flavours. We will definitely go back to Aragosta, and stay on site, the cabins look cozy.

To new customers the long dirt road through the woods may seem some what daunting and cause for concern. For us locals we know at the end we will arrive at an oasis of a beautiful restaurant in front of a view that is so amazing it could hardly be real. From start to finish the service was impeccable, each course served in a timely manner, questions answered with confident knowledge and perfect attention through out the meal. The food was, as usual, exemplary, and the entire experience was worth every cent. A brunch in July on the deck was perfection. Devin knows how to do it all. Jly 24 Big changes. Very different tasting menu. Very expensive. From what I have heard Dinner is not for me. Brunch on the deck is.

Aragosta is a restaurant that, in my opinion, is why American cuisine matters. Every dish shines bright with local ingredients, is artfully plated, imaginative, and delicious! We did the chef’s tasting, Ode to Summer. I had the wine pairing menu and my husband tried two cocktails. I am gluten free and the staff accommodated the meal beautifully with homemade sourdough, fresh pasta, etc.- I was deeply thankful and blown away. Every detail from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food, and the landscape (being right on the beach!) was sublime. We cannot wait to return and would recommend Aragosta wholeheartedly!

Great place in a Cove with great views. The food was great. We did 3 course meal. Halibut and steak were very tasty.

I had been looking forward to dining here for months after running across Aragosta on Instagram...it did not disappoint. We went on a happy hour night which is designed to be a small plate, no reservations setup. They have reservation only prefix dinners on other nights. The setting is magical. Quintessential Maine views from a large New England elevated deck area. Fantastic cocktails and food that ranged from fresh oysters to burrata salad to crudo. An experience for sure. The courses were literally works of art but more importantly mostly delicious. Our servers were knowledgeable and professional. We were questioned after being seated of potential allergies and/or foods we disliked. After that, the courses came one after another. A few of my favorites, -Stonington lobster smoked egg sauce, nori cracker -Mussels with lemon and leek and herb spread on focaccia -pasta stuffed with lobster dressed with lemon gremolata -locally foraged mushrooms and butternut squash soup -Steamed halibut, radicchio emulsion, radicchio purée Lastly, I will say that although there were many tasty bites, at the end, we were not full. My husband came home and ate several bowls of popcorn. Haha

Restaurant: Really nice service, good food, reasonable prices. No non-alcoholic beer. But the pilsener tasted very good.

Dinner in the greenhouse was a really special occasion. All of the food was executed really well and the service was equal. Strongly recommend this if you can swing it.

What a treat to spend a weekend in such a beautiful place. The culinary experience at Aragosta leaves you speechless. Chef Devin is incredibly talented. From the presentation to the ambiance, this restaurant will spoil your tastebuds and mind. Went for a night out and the tasting menu (2 ppl, wine pairing). Disappointing. Service ranged from good to unprofessional. Dishes in the tasting menu were very much hit or miss. Dinner had some high notes, but also some pretty low notes, hence the 3 stars.

We had a phenomenal long weekend at Aragosta. We stayed in one of the cabins (Rosa Ragusa). The cabin/cottage was perfect. The deck has an ocean view. It did turn cooler & rainy so the fireplace & heater made for a very cozy vibe. The food is an experience. Each course is unique & wonderful. The service is top notch. Spent an amazing Memorial Day weekend here. The room was exactly what you think of for summer in maine, quaint, clean with an ocean view. The welcome bottles of prosecco were a nice touch. Booked dinner for one night onsite, well planned local ingredients. Breakfasts were amazing, served right on the deck overlooking the ocean. The staff were all friendly and just the best people you could want around you on vacation. Perfect weather, spent the day on the beach wandering the grounds and even went for a swim in May. I am not a refined man, but I am moved by sensational things, people, and experiences. Aragosta has given me some of the most memorable and moving food focused moments of my entire life. I do not say this lightly. My top three, all time pantheon of food memories, in no particular order: 1. first ever slice of cheese pizza after peewee tee-ball 2. eating sushi for the first time with my then future wife 3. Aragosta was an amazing weekend experience. From the moment we arrived until the time we left we had the absolute best service. We ate at the bar on night one and the small tasting menu was absolutely perfect. The bartenders were so hospitable and the wine sommelier was very kind and informative after I had asked about there natural wines. The overall view and flow of the restaurant and the cabins was just stunning and so peaceful, we felt completely rejuvenated after the weekend. As for dinner the main event, we did the tasting menu which was probably the best food/experience we could have had! we loved all of it and our servers were amazing! We enjoyed that everything is locally sourced and our waitress grandfather even farmed the scallops we had that night! We did not have a bad meal the entire weekend, including the breakfast that was outstanding. 10/10 would recommend Aragosta to anyone. For the last 5 months I have been asking my husband to take me to Aragosta for brunch or dinner. And, since my in-laws loved the place we decided to go for Brunch yesterday. Let just say that we all are very disappointed with their service and the way they prepare the food. We found dirt in our Kale salads, and non-macerated Kale. My husband's green salad had a spider and a few bugs. The waitress said that they picked the kale from the outside garden and they did not wash it. It is crazy to me that a restaurant with such reputation the workers do not care to wash the greens. Very very disappointed, awful experience. Beautiful location with tremendous potential. They work very hard on adding new and creative things, such as their new beach bar. Their tasting menu for dinner is extravagant and expensive, and so most folks opt for their happy hour. They have cocktails, light fare, pizzas, drinks, and are happy to provide blankets to make everyone comfortable. During Happy Hour the wait can be 15-30 minutes and they make it easy with a beach bar, a strong along their beach, or a variety of lovely seating options. The food itself wasn't as spectacular as I remember. The ice cream we were given simply wasn't fresh, and everything else seemed to have great potential but were near misses. The Thai sauce on the mussels didn't hit right, for example. This dining experience was suppose to be one for a lifetime. For 150 per person I expected so much more for one thing I thought they should at least keep my glass filled so I didn't have to serve myself. Instead it was an overpriced disaster. We did the price-fixed tasting menu and it was one of the best dinners that I’ve ever had. The staff were so friendly and really did a spectacular job presenting each dish. And the food!!! For a "Sunday get out of the woods treat" I recommend Bruch at Aragosta at Goose Cove. The oysters were so delicious, delicate and salty with nice Bloody Mary sauce. Best or possibly second best chef I have ever had dinner from. Been here many times and never had anything other than an amazing experience. I actually stayed an extra day in maine to dine at this restaurant after reading all the reviews. Service: Not greeted upon entry but once seated the staff were attentive. My expectations were not high given a national labor shortage. The spacing of courses were out of line, too fast in the beginning, then slow and then fast again. Despite a reservation a month in advance we were sat at a communal table and initially offered the least ideal seat in the restaurant. The entire experience at Aragosta at Goose Cove is something to travel for. My partner and I went on opening night and it was phenomenal! The interior design is exquisite...the bar top is this gorgeous blue and gold flecked granite (or marble?) and the wall behind the bar has a metallic fin pattern.
