The margaritas are great! Large glass and multiple flavors. And they’re BOGO during happy hour for only 10$ for two! I don’t like my drinks too sweet and they accommodate my request to put the nectar on the side with no problems. I always get the table side guacamole and the hot salsa…so good.

The service was top notch and the food was excellent. However, we will not be back here. They have the tables ridiculously close together. The servers slide through sideways and lift the food over your head. You may as well share a table with the strangers next to you. The overcrowding makes it so loud even God can't hear the dinner prayer. The prices do not match the ambiance.

Although I had high expectations for this establishment, I must express my disappointment. While the ambiance was commendable, the culinary experience fell short of my expectations. Despite the visually appealing presentation, the food lacked flavor, resulting in a significant letdown. In an attempt to salvage the experience, I indulged in dessert, only to encounter further dissatisfaction. However, I must acknowledge the commendable service and the refreshing Pepsi as positive aspects of my visit.

Once again this place is absolutely great. Alex the Mgr of course always attentive and friendly. Thanks again.

Food was delicious! Service was awful, they charges us gratuity for 5 paying customers. Policy states 6 or more but they still charged us because my toddler son was there. Would not recommend dining service or this location.

We came in for lunch on July 20,2024 to celebrate our son’s birthday! We usually have a good experience, but unfortunately this time we had a terrible experience. The chips were very stale, so we asked for a different basket (little better). My husband and I both ordered the blanco burrito. The burrito’s were both filled with rice! Very little beans and almost no chicken. We have ordered this exact same dish before and it was always an even amount of chicken, beans, and rice. We paid $18 per burrito and there is know difference in Lunch/Dinner price. We are extremely disappointed with Azteca.

Told the first waiter I wanted a mojito as I was pointing at the beverages listed under the non-alcoholic beverages. He got me one with alcohol. Told him I wanted it non-alcoholic, he proceeded to laugh like it was a joke, nevertheless went to change it and honestly regret the decision as it was wayyyy too sweet. Anyways, the other waitress taking our order was kind of rude and stuck up, we told her it was our son's birthday and she just ignored us. Place was clean, food was too overpriced and honestly not bad but definetly not worth it. When we received the bill we were also charged for the 2 mojitos when it wasn't our mistake. If you want good authentic Mexican food I recommend El Tenampa Kissimmee, way better than this place and less expensive.

Loved the food, great and fast service, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Told them I only had a short amount of time during a lunch break and they got my food out so quickly. And it was DELICIOUS. Even my picky son ate every bite of it. Definitely will be back.

We visited from Ohio. The interior is beautiful. The guacamole table side was really good. The main entrees were not. Way overpriced especially for the quality of food. The chicken didn’t even seem like real chicken. Was like processed cut up cubes of something. The margarita flights took a long time and tasted awful. Server was young and maybe should of asked how things were. I am not one to complain but I wouldn’t return.

I try to be optimistic when leaving reviews but unfortunately our party just did not have a great experience here. Our waitress was kind and attentive but that was about the only good thing. It was the lack of kitchen management and poor food quality that won't have us coming back. We ordered a queso dip, two adult meals and two kids meals. The queso dip was brought out about a minute after ordering and already had a film over the cheese and wasn't even warm. Which means it wasn't fresh. Then literally a minute after that, a kids meal was brought out. The rest of the table had to wait fifteen more minutes and then they brought out the other two adult meals. All the while, my youngest child had to wait another five minutes for her quesadilla. To me, that says the kitchen is not managed well at all and that is not acceptable. Plates should be all brought out at once. Also, the food was subpar and bland at best. I also found three random french fries on my plate in my dry pork carnitas. Not impressed.

The steak fajitas taste like the meat had no seasoning and this was the only green pepper (of course they didn’t cut it) that came with my fajitas..

Came here on an early Friday evening with the wife and it was extremely busy but the food was just OK. A little under seasoned and my chicken for my combo fajitas was rubbery and inedible. The steak was ok and shrimp was good. Had it been less busy I would have asked for some properly cooked chicken. A little too expensive for 2 dinners, some queso and a couple of margaritas. Make sure you have at least 100 bucks to blow before coming here with a date. Nice looking place but I was disappointed with the quality of the food for the price...

For the price, I was greatly disappointed with the quality. They need to revamp their menu and focus on the quality of the meal. The meal portion was also disheartening. The chips and salsa were best part of meal

We where discriminated for simply walking around and they where extremely rude about it even tho we had a reservation

Didn’t even get to go in, workers were accusing my brother of trying to get in vehicles while waiting for me. They came out once and were informed they were waiting for me, then once i got there they approached them again asking if they had a reservation or what they were doing which we did have a reservation for my mothers birthday but did not bother going in due to the fact the staff was very rude and discriminatory against people their own race.

I will have to say I heard good things about this restaurant. They definitely held up to the word. I had the chicken and steak fajita burrito it was absolutely amazing.

Fancy looking but since the moment we walked in, it went downhill. girl at the counter said it would 10 minutes for a table. (7 of us ) party of 10 came in party of 14 and party of 8. They all got seated first before us for some lame reason. We get seated, 12 minutes later they bring chips and menu didn't ask for our drinks another 10 minutes they come asked for our drinks (I ordered before she left ) asked for guacamole dip and she Said it was $15 for a little bowl WOW to nake this short for 7 people My bill was $279.00, SAY WHAT!!! Waitress never came back to refill our drinks service was terrible. Prices are Extremely high Food was good but not good enough to go thru the same thing another day. WONT EAT HERE AGAIN!!!

We went here a few times in the past back when they had build your own family dinner options during the pandemic. It was just very okay. Now a friend of mine told me the manager refused to serve them.and refund them for an order and screamed at them. Cooperate needs to look into this.

Poor management with anger issues and mediocre food. Better off going to a local taco truck, at least when they yell it's at each other and not the customers.

He had a hot waiter that looks like deuce Bigelow Rob Shiner with the terrace look back he was super sexy, but the steak fajitas were to be desired. They were two choose chewy. They were not soft enough to be in a taco. We had to cut them up in the pieces to have them in your taco Service was amazing but the food and the food was like three stars from Chef Chef Chelsie telling you that these fajitas were too chewy and hard.

Food was good and showed up quickly for a Friday night. Not the best service but at least they showed up to work. Why do they have Moroccan light fixtures if they are a Mexican restaurant?

Don't let the actual building and prices make you think their value matches. Me and SEVERAL people I see that came here had food poisoning. I asked for horchata and he said they don't serve horchata but on the menu they do and I see several people ordered horchata!!! This place is not it my friend. Better spending your money literally anywhere else. I'd rather have taco bell. Food trucks beat this place anyday!

Taco salad was good. Prices are high, but they had a good happy hour. It was loud, and our server had a hard time understanding us.

Just a decent place to eat. If you prefer Abuelos you will still enjoy it more after eating here. Wasn't as busy as Abuelos so if you are crunched for time, maybe this is an easier choice for Mexican.

I love this place. The food never disappoints, it’s consistently delicious. Service personnel do their best to make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is delightful and perfect for an evening out or a couple of drinks with friends. Plenty of parking is available and the location is centrally located in Lakeland.

I went here for Cinco de Mayo. I was so impressed. The margaritas were on point. Free tequila shots. Music. It was awesome!

What an excellent atmosphere. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some good Mexican and Tex Mix food.

The food was delicious, and the portion was humongous. It was definitely worth the price. The facility was super nice and clean. We didn't wait at all to be seated, and the food was prepared swiftly after.

Went there today around 1 , 2 of us got seated next to a child’s birthday party , the adults were all drinking and weren’t supervising the kids running screaming yelling it was so loud you couldn’t hear anything after 15 minutes asked to be moved because of all the noise and the moved us to 2 tables away on the other side of them. The food we saw being served looked really delicious but I really don’t want to spend 25. On a lunch meal I can’t enjoy so we paid for our drinks and left , but the food did look good just really pricey

Don't get me wrong the food is delicious. The portion sizes compared with the prices are not the best. I had a to go order and chose no sides and I still paid $13 for a hard taco. The burrito was very tasty but for $23 it was smaller than I expected. I would say you get more food for your money dining in compared to doing a take out order. I have learned my lesson to check every box before leaving the restaurant. Service is good and your food is ready fast.

I had pork tacos. They were dry and flavorless. The service was just meh. I asked for sour cream and avocado. The server stressed that there would be an additional charge. When I agreed to the charge, he still didn’t bring the items out. I had to ask again. I eventually paid my bill and left. The plate was full of tasteless food. I will not visit this place again.

I went here on a date and the experience was great. I tried the chocolate old fashioned and it was awesome. The lamb shank was amazing. Our server was attentive and checked in on us to make sure we were taken care of. 5 stars!

Great place. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were large. Service was good as well. Very attractive. We had the pork shank, which was outstanding. Also had the enchiladas make. Best I've had in a long time. The fresh guacamole was very good, although lacking a little salt and garlic. I need to go back to try more!!

Everything about my experience was amazing! I went inside and the decor had a fancy touch with unique and almost sculpture-like light fixtures with textured walls. It felt like the perfect blend of fancy and cultured. Ruby waited my table and really seemed genuinely happy. I asked her opinion between two menu items and she enthusiastically asked what meat I would prefer because she really enjoyed the Burrito Blanco with shrimp (shrimp wasn’t even on the menu for this item!) and the macho burrito with chicken or steak. When I chose the Burrito Blanco, she responded excitedly. It was busy and loud in there at the time so she could’ve justified short answers but she genuinely cared that I order something I’ll enjoy. She came back to check on me a few times and was beyond pleasant. The burrito tasted as interesting as it sounded and her recommendation of shrimp was spot on! I 1000% recommend this place and hope Ruby gets a raise because she was incredible!

On 3/2/2024 3pm Food was really good! We had tacos, nachos a margarita flight and a kids mexi bites. Food was super fast! The service gosh awful. We had some questions about sauce and the server was not educated at all, we asked for extra chips and given dirty looks, server would place drinks and silverware on top of the menus as we we looking at them. Overall just bad and awkward. Even the host was confused on where to sit us. Management needs to figure out how to create a staff environment because this will keep me from going back again. Good food I’ll go to taco trucks. Restaurants I go for overall experience

The food didn't have any flavor, it was bland and the price was high for some Mexican food. server wasn't welcoming to people of color. Ask questions about the menu choices and was met with very vague answers. Don't recommend unless you want a plate of onions.

I almost never have anything bad to say about an establishment but my experience was not a good time. First of all our food came without utensils. The poor waitress looked swamped so we overlooked this. Second the Doro Tea was watered down. Third the food had no flavor. I believe this is a one and done for me. My husband wants to give them another try we shall see.

It was bad, worst th3n bad, we were feed decomposing leftovers. Beans were decomposing. White shrimp had black tails and tasted acidic. White sauce had decomposing texture. My burrito was literally fikked with dry fridge tasting shreded cold chicken. The mojiti was bas it tadted like vodka and i asked don julio. Chips were stale.salsa was bad, Guacamole was ok. Service was good and the poor waitor was so embarrased. We used to be usuals here and littke by little the food has been dangerously neglected in this location. I get that restaurant do meal prep but come on you have to be on top of dates on precooked sauces and meats. Not having shrimp at temperature or keeping them too long in fridge will give them black tails and coukd cause a bad food poisoning. We would probably try it again hooefully kitchen staff gets on track soon, but honestly we have discovered the one in winter haven, professional delicious clean fresh food there.

Macho burrito with picadillo was really good, and we shared it. The mariachi band is on Sundays now instead of Friday.

This is our favorite place,we bring family friends,and brag about your excellent food to all.You have however disappointed us on charging for more chips and salsa.I think a small charge if you order more but $5.95 is absolutely ridiculous. This has changed my feelings about OUR favorite place.

We prefer hot coffee before dinner coffee was ice cold both cups we ordered getting refills with dinner was impossible I had cold drink im my vehicle I had to go get them to finish my dinner I left a $50 tip if service was better I would double my bill as a tip

Just my favorite place to go. When I want to go to a good place to eat. This is where I go, azteca never disappoints. The food is flavorful, the service is great. This place is very consistent regardless of what store you visit all the way from Orlando to Lakeland azteca d'oro always got it right. This place sets the standard in Mexican cuisine for me, if I go to another place to eat Mexican food I always end up saying "It is good, but not as good as in azteca" .

The best Mexican food I've ever had.

Went for the second time and won't go back. Both time they have the AC so high that we can't even enjoy the our meal. We asked twice to lower the ac with no luck. Was colder inside than outside this time of the year. We only eat half of our meal because it got too cold.

The mariachi band is DEAFENING. Way too loud; you can’t even hold a conversation or put your order in without screaming. The food is just average.

Stopped by this place on way to Orlando from St Petersburg. Breathtaking decor and artwork do all the necessary work for your eyes to have a great time. Food is made with fresh ingredients and prepared in the best way.

Great taco special on Tuesday. My personal favorite it the Macho Burrito. Very extensive bourbon and tequila selection. Definitely give it shot!

Food and Margarettas Samplers were awesome!

Delicious food and great tmosphere. Went on a Sunday afternoon and got lucky because they had a Mariachi playing songs at each table. I had the "Plato Fiesta" (shown in picture). Well seasoned steak and chicken. Bacon wrapped shrimp also delicious, the bacon adds all that greasy goodness. Rice and refried beans were good. Rice was fluffy and not over cooked or dried out. Beans tasted house made/fresh, not like from a can. Nicely salted as well. Can't beat homemade tortillas as well along with the chips and salsa. Chips have that nice crunch to them.

Atmosphere is cozy and comforting! Light fixtures were delightful on the ceiling! Hostess was friendly, food was amazing! Lunch portions are HUGE! The food was flavorful and hot! We will definitely be back. Our server thought we had been there before but it was our first trip so we had questions about the portions etc, and I think that annoyed him. He was busy and had an entire section to himself. We still tipped him well.

The shrimp fajita enchilada and chicken enchilada was delicious. The portion of the food was big enough for leftovers and was flavorful. There was chips and salsa included in the to-go bag. I am satisfied with dinner tonight!

The food and drinks were great. If you don’t want to talk to the people you’re with please go with the band on Fridays. Otherwise do not come here if you would like a nice family dinner and be able to talk two feet across the table to your family. The trumpets were ridiculously loud. Haven’t been with family in months and we wanted great food but it came with a price of not being able to hear after. Thought I was at a concert with my ears ringing the entire time.

The carne asada y mojo was delicious!! Portions are large and easily shared. The ceviche mixta (shrimp and pulpo)was fresh with just the right amount of vegetables. I recommend trying the mango pineapple ceviche sauce on the side for a nice variety. The margarita flight is refreshing and reasonable size for each featured flavor; cherry (I think, was supposed to be dragon fruit), pineapple, hibiscus, tamarind.

Food was good albeit overpriced. $21 ( not including drinks ) for 3 tacos and side of beans and rice. Not super authentic but not bad, it's an ok restaurant really. Would probably not come back just bcz there are more authentic places with food a lot cheaper and as good if not better.
