The best bagel I’ve had in Michigan! (And I’ve had a lot!)

I'm here to tell you I like a simple bagel with cream cheese. However I went out on a limb and it was dinner time. I stopped in and decided to order a sandwich. Man oh man was I impressed! I got the turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a asiago and some other cheese bagel and ut was absolutely outstanding and super fresh. The bagel itself was delicious! What a surprise! Just to think..... I was gonna get a 5$ bag elsewhere . WIN!!

Great Bagels! I got the cinnamon sugar bagel with honey walnut cream cheese with a delicious banana peanut protein shake.

Best bagels "East OR West" of the Mississippi! We used to live near Livonia 44 years ago and bought bagels at the Detroit Bagel Factory. Salty Sticks are our favorite. Over time we moved away to different locations and would still return there to get the salty stick bagels. To describe how good the bagels are there, I would leave home at 6am and drive from Hartland to Livonia to Brooklyn michigan to take my in-laws bagels for breakfast, and then drive home (160 miles). Since finding the same salty stick bagels at Bagels & Bites in Brighton, it has shortened my trips considerably. The best part is the bagels are even better! Real friendly service! Definitely worth the trip!

Looks like I'm in the minority according to the reviews here. The bagel sandwich is straight up not good.. The bagel solo or with cream cheese? Awesome!!! Imo if you want a steamed/microwaved unseasoned sandwich go to Tim Hortons and save a some money. If the owner/staff reads this, please put some love into your sandwich. The bagel is way too good to be disrespected like that 🤣. A fried egg or 2 on a flat top (seasoned) and some real meats would go a long way.. I'm sure customers may even pay a premium for such a potential top-notch sandwich.

Always friendly staff and my favorite chicken salad around. Bagel assortment is huge and liked every kind I’ve tried. Highly recommend as the prices are very reasonable as well. Must try!

The food menu is great, all if it. Coffee game might need a bit of work unless you are getting something pretty basic and not a specialty coffee drink. Well worth it if you want a bagel or soup or sandwich though!

We have been huge fans of this place for years! But today knocked it out of the park!!!! My husband stops in there once in an awhile the kids love it. Today, my husband was taking my son to cubby camp at the conservation club in Brighton. He had to take a difficult work call while my son put in his order. Finally made it inside. My son had ordered and the wonderful ladies there had taken care of his order, no charge they are absolutely brilliant highly recommend.

My favorite place for a lunch special egg salad on a bagel. Always made fresh by friendly staff.

This is such a nice place to grab a quick bagel for your breakfast. Their cream cheeses are perfectly tasted. I usually got the "everything" bagel with my choice of cream cheese and they never disappoint me. Recommended!

We drive 25 minutes for their bagels nearly every weekend. On the way we pass no less than 3 other bagel shops, with no remorse. This place is great and the people are so friendly.

I love Bagels and Bites! It’s pretty much the only bagel place in Brighton, but let me tell ya, they do bagels right! They have a huge variety of bagels from unique flavors like traverse city cherry to more common ones like everything and asiago. Service is always quick and employees are friendly. 10/10 would recommend!!

Nice Bagel shop. Bagels are quite tasty. Stopped specifically to get a lox bagel, and they do a decent job with it. A little skimpy on the lox, but the flavor was spot on. I would return again.

Wonderful and kind gals behind the counter and reasonable prices, but I went there to buy some bagels. Why is it that you have to drive to metro Detroit to find a great heavy and chewy bagel? Well I learned once again that the ONLY true Jewish bagels can only be found in the Detroit area. These soft, airy and pillowy bagels are no better than the ones you can find anywhere.

We stopped here on a whim today while in town and will definitely be back! The selection of bagels is impressive. Everything from the chicken noodle soup to the tuna salad to the pizza bagel were great. Be sure to bring cash though so you can save the 4% credit card fee.

The bacon, egg, and American cheese on an everything bagel is my favorite to order. After four years, I still haven't ordered anything different because it's that good. The staff is always friendly and does a great job handling a line of people.

First time. Amazing customer service. Extremely helpful. Bagels are phenomenal tasting and remind me of the bagels I'd use to get when I was in Queens, New York. Early mornings, hearing the subway rattle over Queens Blvd while I ate my egg bagel. I'm so happy I found somewhere that has New York style bagels. Makes me homesick for NYC. But my heart sings for joy as I eat my egg bagel. The diner reminds me of the diners in NYC, too. It's just plain and simple. In and Out. Quality is in the food. God, I love this place. Plus, I love their sign out front. It has nostalgia vibes, and I totally dig it. ✨️

I ordered cinnamon raisin bagels , 1st time customer . I was disappointed that they had very little flavor , bland like a plain bagel. Expensive for not receiving the flavor. Little cinnamon flavor.

This morning I stopped in to get a bagel sandwich and when the employee cut the bagel there was steam coming off of it, it was so fresh 😍. The variety of bagels here is also impressive. The staff are always friendly. I skipped Panera and McDonalds to shop local and eat a fresh delicious soft bagel sandwich. I'll be back again and again. Thanks Bagels and Bites.

Went on 5/10/23 I got a Bagel Daddy(egg meat and cheese). When I get home this what I see. In the whole sandwich I found 3 cut up pieces of a sausage link. It was basically an egg and cheese bagel that they accidentally dropped a few pieces of sausage in. My wife got just a sausage and cheese bagel and it was a sausage patty that covered the whole bagel. Seriously disappointed especially for it costing $6.50. Save yourself $3 and go to McDonald’s. Will not be going back.

Was excited at first to have found an independent place that makes their own bagels. However, noticed eggs being cooked for sandwiches by microwaving them in thin plastic containers (sort of clever if you don’t care about the serious health ramifications from plastic leaching into food). Tried to forget about it, but egg sandwich tasted of plastic. A food grade silicone mold may be a good workaround to make eggs in, while also being considerate of customer health. Bathrooms also didn’t have a changing table, which is frustrating with a kid.

Probably delicious because it's packed but we waited outside in line then gave up. Hope to catch better timing next time.

My favorite. Especially when they have Pumpkin bagels. They're all super hard working ladies (and gentlemen) and they provide good service and quite fast for as busy as they always are. I'm a fan. Please offer a Vegan Cream Cheese in the future! :)

I've been coming here since I was 11 years old and this place was an after-church lunch staple for my family. Now at 30, I can still walk in and be greeted by Marie as a friend. Food is delicious, fairly priced, and served with a side of down-home goodness.

Stumbled upon this gem while passing through town from out of state. Quick friendly service, great variety of high quality bagels and cream cheeses. A great value for the price: 1/2 dozen for under $10. Coffee likewise solid. Will stop by if ever in area again

First time here, what a cute hidden spot. Been living here for 3 years and never stopped in. There have a large selection of bagels and you can have breakfast, lunch and even dinner on a bagel. Very clean and lots of seating including booths. I got a lunch bagel and got to pick my deli meat, cheese, and whatever other toppings, came with chips and a drink too!! So yummy!! I'll be stopping in again and bringing the family!

Very over priced for there sandwiches. I got this one for lunch 8$ nothing came with it. Very disappointed!

Love, love, love, this place. The staff is always courteous and friendly. These are hands down the best bagels we have ever had. We buy them for our staff every Thursday and they look forward to it. Yummo!

Great service. Leaves but small portion for the price. A ham egg and cheese is like scramble egg with maybe 4 little pieces of ham mixed it. I was expecting more layers. The coffee is horrible. Cold. I think gas station coffee is better. Bagels are good, but the cheese ones don't really have much on them. I think with a few changes it would be a great place.

Great bagels, sandwiches, & service!

For the past year or two, I’ve been picking up a half dozen of bagels each week to share with my husband. If you request a black plastic bag along with the paper one, they will keep for ~4 days and still be soft and delicious. I give four stars because the past two times I’ve picked up bagels, there have been mistakes. The first instance, I was given the wrong bagels, which to be fair, I could’ve been paying better attention to where they were picking them from. Today, I requested a garlic peppercorn cream cheese and I received a bacon cheddar onion one instead. Unfortunately, I am unable to consume that flavor, but ultimately it’s ok because I have a little leftover cream cheese from last week. Additionally, it concerns me that it seems as if all COVID-19 precautions have been dropped completely. I considered not picking up bagels here for a while since the employees don’t mask and they are fairly close to the customer and each other. I am assuming that the employees are vaccinated and the owners have accessed these risks, but just a forewarning to anyone who still has high risk family members or unvaccinated children in their lives. I love bagels and I continue to patronize this establishment because even with these faults, they deliver a delicious product and I love supporting locally owned, women-ran businesses.

Absolutely delicious, I thought bagels from Panera were good but once I tried Bagels & Bites, I finally tasted a real bagel. It was perfect parts soft and chewy, and the crumb was spot on! Bonus - their cream cheese is delicious! I would highly recommend checking this place out.
