Always a great dining experience while sitting at the sushi bar. Food and service is always on point.

Great food as usual. Ate inside and they've changed the seating in one area for the good. Service was great.

Quality has consistently deteriorated over the years. Tonight is the last time I will order out or eat here. Sushi rolls were poorly constructed with obviously old (fishy smelling) fish. To top it off we had it delivered tonight and it arrived 45 minutes after it was made...we live less than 6 miles away.

Food was only OK. I had Filet and chicken hibachi. Steak was under cooked. The food was not seasoned and if they did you couldn't taste it. The yum yum sauce was tasteless. Sushi was just ok at best. I would go back and give them a try if it wasn't for one thing. They have the biggest Air Force base in the world 3 miles away and will not even give Military, or Veterans a discount. I will post this on Eglin AFB Facebook page.

If you are visiting from out of town you have been warned. There was a misunderstanding that we wanted take-out, they brought the Ramen out, we said so sorry, we ordered take-out to bring back for others. The remake of the food took 45 minutes, the sushi chefs were looking at us smirking(movie Waiting vibes), the initial Ramen came out in less than 15 minutes. The place is absolutely filthy, you will understand when you sit down. The food was inedible. All of us agreed the food could not be eaten, we’d rather just eat the cost. Please read all of the negative reviews, please learn from my mistake. For the one’s working tonight that may have thought they were slick, we are getting the Ramen soup tested, smells like sewage.

Worth a visit-I went out of my comfort zone abs tried something new and had no idea what it was. But it was fantastic!

I ordered the hibachi steak and scallops to go. The steak was good, but the scallops were overcooked and very salty. The food here is usually pretty good, so I was a little disappointed. I'll give them a pass on this as the food is usually good. Everyone has an off day. Service was good and the atmosphere was not too bad.

Okinawa Sushi was 😋. Great atmosphere. Outside looks less than desirable, which is why I never tried before. Inside the establishment has character and the service was great.

We walked to the counter to order and got a number to set on our table. I got the steak hibachi. I think it was $15z Added a cup of miso soup for an extra $3.30. The steak was cooked medium rare as I requested but The vegetables were mushy. Got plenty of rice. They bring the food out to your table. Overall it wasn’t bad but I felt it was overpriced for you got. Felt the food was mediocre. With drinks and tip, it was close to $50 for 2 people. Employees were nice.

Why are we putting old avocados in the rolls??? Literally ruined my $25 meal and idk if it was that or the shrimp in my roll but it had me in the bathroom all night. Yall have been trash the last several years anyway and yet I always give it another shot just to get soggy nasty rolls. Not happening again though 😒

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bamboo Restaurant in Niceville, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We opted to sit at the bar, where we were greeted by Matt, the sushi chef. His friendly demeanor and expert skills made our visit truly enjoyable. The sushi was nothing short of excellent. Additionally, the wait time was perfect. We didn't have to wait long for our food, which added to the overall positive experience. The restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained, contributing to the comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Overall, Bamboo Restaurant in Niceville is a top-notch spot for sushi lovers. Thanks to Matt and the entire staff for making our visit memorable. We will definitely be back!

I was in town for business and a colleague recommended Bamboo. I was so impressed I went back every night and tried something new. Everything was fresh and I can't wait to go back and try more.

I had to go back to try more of the rolls. The menu online is outdated but you won't be disappointed with anything you try.

Staff is amazing, only downside is inconsistent portions.

When you make a pickup order, show up on time, but still have to wait at the drive through for the full 15 minutes, while people pull up behind you and get their orders. I feel like I should be able to specify the tip after and not before. They didn't even apologize. The food here is probably not worth the price tag honestly. I want to like this place, but it's subpart in comparison with other sushi restaurants.

Well kept restaurant with pleasant staff, good service, and good food. But far more expensive than Google indicates. Most nigiri orders were almost double what the same order is elsewhere, even in Southern California. What I typically get for $60 to $70 cost me nearly $100 here. Yikes!

*Not bad, wasn’t really blown away by anything in particular but I would give it another shot.* went back for another round of sushi and it was pretty good the second time around we enjoyed the crack roll and the red dragon roll - the Sasquatch one was a bit overkill but I guess not terrible. Skip the cucumber salad.

The staff was very rude. They spelled my name wrong, and they refused to correct it when asked. The say nope I already spelled it wrong in the computer and I am not going to change it. No attempt at an apology or to make it right. They do have a fun selection of beers on tap.

Excellent tuna poke bowl. But the best thing about this place is the super friendly and helpful staff. Also cool atmosphere.

The asparagus garlic rolls were the best! Brian's service and suggestions were helpful and Matt made my rolls to perfection.

Just discovered this place and OMG...we love it so much! The rolls are fresh, clean and delicious. Staff are friendly and respectful. Very laid back restaurant, clean and spacious environment.

As someone who works in the service industry I hate to leave a two star review. I’ve been to this location many times and it’s usually really good. The food was good as always, but the woman who rang us up did not get our order right. I do understand that mistakes happen, but I expect that when it is the cashiers mistake that it will be remedied with no questions asked. We ordered the special and they unfortunately didn’t have enough of what we ordered to complete our order. They offered a solution which we gratefully accepted. When we ordered this special we were asked if we wanted veggies and rice or double rice. We received double rice even though we asked for rice and veggies. We were later informed that it did not have the option to come with veggies. Totally fine. No biggie. Then our appetizer took forever to come out because it apparently got burnt the first time. No worries. It finally comes out. It’s not hot. I also ordered a side of white rice which according to the ticket was not rung up. The server placed the ticket on the table and told us we did not order it. Honestly considering all of the issues with the order the least they could do was give us a free side of white rice.

Tips for self-service? Went for the Steak Hibachi and while my expectations were high (due to friends hyping this place up), it was just pretty “average” in my opinion. Price was a bit high as well for the serving size we received. Nothing too crazy here. Here’s out it goes, you walk up to place your order to an actual person manning the register and right before you pay you get asked by the machine if you would like to tip…for seating yourself and pouring your own beverage of course. You seat yourself at your table and your food is brought out to you. Workers were kind and the place was pretty clean. Food, average.

I order here frequently and dine in on occasion. The drive through pick up option is great and the employees at the window have always been friendly . The food is really good.

Wow! 10/10 will definitely eat here again! The food was fresh, delicious, and came out fairly quickly for how busy it was. We will definitely be back!

I am not an experienced Sushi eater but I do know what tastes good or not. This overall is my favorite place for sushi, lots of options to choose from. I also tried the rice and teriyaki steak it was really good steak.

Very yummy food. Some people say the prices are too expensive, but if you’re getting sushi it’s going be expensive. Definitely worth a visit every once in awhile

The vegetable tempura was good and those in our party who had sushi said it was good. The hibachi chicken was dry and the veggies were over cooked. Skip the hibachi here.

The sushi is spectacular. Especially the sashimi because the fish is always fresh. I swear I will never stop getting the salmon sashimi because it is always fresh, creamy, and the portion is amazing for the price too! No where have I seen the sashimi portions as good as Bamboo has for the price… just sayin. The sushi chefs are super nice and accommodating.🙌🏼 I suggest trying Mr. Orange roll if you love salmon and of course the salmon sashimi dinner👀

Good food, friendly service. We ate outside it was a beautiful day. I used to like sitting inside but they changed lights to ones that are clear globes and golden bright filaments. Too bright and I get seizures sometimes from lights. Tricia and the manager was very friendly and helpful. I'll be sitting outside from now on, weather permitting.

Not the best place, not the worst place, but definitely expensive for the food that we got. One of us ordered the spring rolls, which said 6 pieces. There were 6 pieces alright. 3 full spring rolls cut in half to a total of 6 pieces!! There wasn't an actual hibachi setting where they cooked in front of you, but when ordering hibachi, I assumed the vegetables were going to be what we usually get at the actual hibachi. Instead, I paid extra money for lettuce. We didn't order the most expensive roll because it was $40, but im so glad we didnt. I went with a group of 7 people, and we all left hungry, so it was NOT worth the money!

Ordered to-go and everything was ready when they said it would be. Lady over the phone was fantastic super friendly and I'm kicking myself in the head for not visiting this place sooner. Don't be like me check it out now! Five stars!

This is a decent place. I've had their hibachi and sushi and everything tastes pretty good.

Everything about this place was fine other than the lady that took her lunch break in the dining area next to other customers.

This place is average at best. They charge upscale prices for very minimal customer service. The service teller was rude when I asked about kids meal sizes. The waiters all looked, I hate to say but dirty. Unfortunately there’s not much else to offer around here so people tend to think this place is great.

The food is good but they don't seem to know how to expedite the kitchen. Every time we eat here the food comes out spread across about a 35 to 45 minute time frame. The employees are always nice but the kitchen doesn't seem to know what they're doing. Expect to wait.

Had to go food on 07/30/2023. Had our usual of spring rolls, tempura vegetables, and salmon w/ rice. Didn't eat but a bite of the salmon, about half the tempura and 3 of the 6 spring rolls. Was completely fine and then sick as a dog about 2-3 hours later and still sitting here sick this morning. Not sure what happened but it 100% wasn't better the second time around. Nothing else but Bamboo came up. So... take that for what you will. Just be careful. All of these items were cooked and I still am sick and having to miss work. Used to order here about once a week or so and will have to back off for a while, if ever again. Posting if anyone else in this time period has gotten sick. Stay safe everyone!

Good food and I didn’t get food poisoning! I didn’t expect a ton but was pleasantly surprised. Don’t expect this to be haute cuisine super authentic sushi, but for a local place it was a nice relaxed vibe. I would come back! It’s a sushi place with a drive thru, that pretty much says it all. I would put it on par with a classic conveyer style sushi place. The fried spring rolls were good.

Our lunch group came here because the one on Eglin Parkway has always had background music so loud. Well, if you are getting together to converse, then wait until you can sit outside because inside is just as noisy as the other one.

Oh man what happened to this restaurant. Used to be so good the first times we went here 3 to 4 years ago. Prices now are ridiculous and the portions of hibachi steak especially the sushi rolls have gone down significantly. Quality and taste has gone down a little bit too. This used to be our go to place for Japanese food since we live so close to it, but yesterday will be our last time going to this restaurant since it's not worth it anymore.

Recommend the Mt. Fuji roll if you like a saucey roll, it was delicious. Appreciate the cider on tap. The staff was super friendly and courteous.

This used to be one of my favorites places. The prices have gone up drastically which would be fine if the quality and quantity of food didn't go down. They now up charge for fried rice for rice plates? They have a take out supplies fee now and tip too. It's getting a little out of hand. Used to be a regular but now everytime I order there is less food and flavor but cost more.

I will definitely come back one day, maybe. But everything was lacking. The other local guides are spot on. Drowning sushi in sauce does not make it better. Probably the second worst miso I've ever had, was also missing key ingredients. Decorum was lacking in atmosphere and staff. I'm confused on their score out of 1500 reviews, and still looks like a fast food restaurant 😳 🤔 😬. I will comeback to update my score because everyone deserves a second chance, so I don't care if you're still a hole in the wall, make that hole taste better at least.

Inside don't feel clean the chicken was dry and the rice. Visit this restaurant last year the food was delicious this is one of the reasons I returned. This Visit was very disappointing.

Sushi are amazing! Hibachi always take a long time. I’m usually done with my sushi by the time my husband’s food is ready. I wish they didn’t take 30 min to make food. Other than that everything is amazing. We love that it’s kids and dog friendly!

I stand in the to go pick up line, for probably 10 min before anyone even ask to help me. The 4 girls working the to go window shooting the breeze doing nothing tell me oh we were answering phone calls, as i stood there one call took place not more. Then they caught attitude because I said customer service is about communication. Sushi is subpar I’ll drive to fort Walton or Destin from now on. Had better sushi in Oklahoma

I don't know if it's the new workers or what but when you pay 200 dollars for food then pay extra for spicy mayo and they give you a splash then give you a hard time about asking for more is a bit rude when spending so much money. Disappointed today. Other then that the food is usually great.

We ordered 3 rolls and for $10 each which is $30. The rolls were very small. I’ve been to much more and the rolls there are bigger. This place charges way too much money for rolls. Don’t go here.

Love the panko fried chicken and steamed rice meal. I had a small problem a couple months ago and they resolved it will keep returning as long as there is sauce on the chicken.

Tonight was my first time here, and I was immediately confused. There's 3 different ways to order and frankly it's just too overwhelming for a first visit. We weren't greeted by any staff member while we stood around wondering what to do. The food came out relatively quickly and fresh, but lacked alot of flavor and all came out randomly so some of our party were left waiting while some of us ate. The hibachi vegetables were very bland, and it was odd to have cucumber in it when zucchini would have been better. Even the sauces that came with my food were bland. Sushi was good, according to my family, so I would say this place is only good for the sushi bar to go, but the atmosphere is just off for the type of food. Music was VERY odd.

I dream of this place at night. If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life I'd pick the Mt. Fuji roll from here and I'd never get tired of it. The scallop topping is to die for. Also gave their chocolate cake a try and unfortunately, I think I'm addicted to it. Love the food.

I have been coming here and supporting this place but will have to reconsider in the future. Edit. Waiting now for over an hour. Not acceptable service. We have enjoyed bamboo for years in Crestview and now at the Niceville location. The food has been consistently delicious with only one or two exceptions.

The food is usually decent enough, albeit a bit pricy for certain things... but I was extremely disappointed today😵‍💫. I Paid $27 (yes, really) for JUST a poke bowl, nothing else. I was reluctant to pay that much at first but figured it must be amazing to warrant the price? Wrong.. A very basic, mediocre poke Bowl that was only half edible due to the rice. It was awful, hard as a rock, I'm guessing it must have been old rice? And they soaked it in an terrible sweet, syrupy (teriyaki?) sauce in an attempt to hide it.. I do not think that is normal, because I've ordered poke bowls from sooo many different places and the rice has been served without sauce...not to mention, they charged me to upgrade to brown rice from white, adding insult to injury 🤣 so yeah for $27 I expected sooo much more. I could get two bowls from another local spot for that price, with way more toppings, more than just one kind of fish in it, and edible rice. Huge waste of $ unfortunately 👎 would not recommend that dish, but some other things are worth trying I suppose, although i still feel the place is entirely overhyped ! Staff is friendly though always, so kudos to them!

When I go out to eat a good meal at a restaurant ( Not fast food) I expect to sit down and enjoy my meal that's prepared by someone else and brought to the table along with drinks. And of course tip the server. However, that was NOT my experience today as I had to stand in line to order, fix my own drink and had to go to the cashier for items not included. The meal was good but for $55 I'll go somewhere else.

We regularly pick up or order delivery. The food is either amazing or just okay depending on who cooks I guess. Tonight I ordered quite a bit to be delivered but the door dasher had some kind of phone fiasco and cancelled my order well over an hour later. I called Bamboo and then went to pick up my food. There was a lot of confusion at first but the ladies there were beyond nice and got it fixed for me. Good customer service is hard to come by so I very much appreciate them and will keep coming back! The crack sushi was amazing as well!

I always enjoy bamboos. Quick ordering, quick service and decent prices. Lines can get long at lunch times (usually caused by people talking with friends and not even looking at the menu until it's their turn), but it's worth the wait.

After experience in the bamboo and crestviews we were passing through Niceville and decided that we would stop for some sushi Boy were we disappointed this was nothing like the bamboo's in Crestview the staff is very young they're not attentive at all we never had any help the whole time we were there And the food was very mediocre

Gave this place another try and JUST AS SLOW as the first time. It took 33 minutes to get out 4 kids hibachi meals. Won’t be coming back.

You know the service and sushi is good when you will drive over 30 minutes for food. Favorite sushi place in the panhandle by far.

Cheap and cheerful. Food is ok. Great place to bring the kids to try hibachi for only $4! Katsu chicken is like frozen popcorn chicken. More bread than chicken. Not bad if you're looking for a cheap lunch. (Windows need a good clean btw)
