I took my order to go. Definitely a college vibe. Smelt like straight Coronas and Yueling when you walk in. I ordered the fish and chips. I was a little nervous that I was going to get frozen fish sticks. Surprising enough, it was pretty decent. Taste like it was made with real fish. A little greasy..but I think most fried foods are too greasy. Couldn't finish everything..portions are generous.

So it is a regular, american bar where you can dance: No worries there: If it wasn’t for James, one of the bouncers that had ALL OF THE TIME in the world to make me get BACK IN TO THE BAR and then get out again, once I (I guess “incorrectly”) got out from the bar from the “emergency exit” from the side of the establishment instead of of from the front. I would like to thank the staff that was in charge of the front door (A.K.A the bouncer that is not named James) for their impeccable service. I never go out to party, but even when I still have to spend hundreds of dollars when I do GO OUT and they treat you like this? Shamefull.

Great Dive, Reminds me of a small dive in the keys, I found this place on my way back to the keys. I pulled into Dinner Key Marina to make some repairs on my sailboat and enjoy the Grove Until Sept or Oct and I just have to say this is probably my favorite spot here I've found. It's a classic dive, don't expect anything more or anything less. Good food, good service and a great atmosphere. Seemed like there were quite a few sailors here when I was. It's a nice change from the upscale Miami that nearly every single place in the area is. This will be my go to spot until I leave town. It's a short walk from Dinner Key or The Sailing Club. Would def recommend to any sailor stopping in the Grove.

Security and staff are extremely rude, can’t even watch a game at this place without being told something from a sassy security guard on an ego trip.

My husband and I were enjoying our Saturday afternoon and decided to stop in at Barracuda for food and drinks. To my astonishment, my husband was told by the server that she would not serve him. I was very confused and went to the server to ask what the issue was and to see if there was a miscommunication. The server would not tell me anything, only that they would not serve us. I would not recommend this establishment and we will not be returning. JD

Today, my wife, 86-year-old mother, and I experienced an upsetting incident at your establishment. We were refused service by a female server who refused to identify herself or provide a reason for her actions (her photo is below). When we requested to speak with a manager, we were informed there was none available. Furthermore, our request to contact the owner, Lee Kessler, whom I have known for over 15 years, was met with the response that they did not have his contact information. This treatment was unprecedented and left us feeling deeply disrespected. The lack of explanation or justification for denying us service raises concerns of potential discrimination. I hope this message reaches Mr. Kessler so that he can address this matter appropriately.

This bar is a fun place. The service and atmosphere is wonderful, but the beer selection is outdated and cluttered.

Large beer selection, good atmosphere and reasonable prices

The bouncer kicked out me and my friend from the outdoor tables because we had outside food even though we were trying to get drinks from inside. I have an autoimmune disorder so I can’t eat the food from this place, especially because it’s already pretty poor quality. There was no one else around on a Sunday evening but he still became aggressive towards me and my friend from the very start. I’ve also seen him hit on young college girls before even though he’s pushing 50 years old, and threatens lots of men saying they have fake IDs (including mine at 28 years old). Very poor management and overall atmosphere. Always feel uncomfortable here.

List of beer was long yet lack lustered for the most part typical for a gastro pub didn’t look into food but atmosphere was decent picnic tables were nice I enjoyed my beer from New York in Florida. Interesting they’d allow that as an option.

Great Dive bar in The Grove . Picnic bench seating outside encourages mingling - we’ve met some cool people here - its a down yo earth bar with a great choice of beers & plenty of outside seating where you can smoke once you dont litter . Great doorman very friendly. The great tunes are great and the bathrooms are clean. Its our ‘Go-to Bar’ in The Grove.

Unacceptable Service (Hair in Beer) and Discrimination Experienced at Barracuda Taphouse from the staff person Chris and one of the security guy (Unfortunately, I don’t know his name). Dear Barracuda Taphouse Management, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service my friend and I received at your establishment in Coconut Grove, Miami, on January 26, 2024. Our experience was not only unpleasant but also deeply troubling due to the behavior of your staff. Upon deciding to order a beer pitcher, we were taken aback by the bartender's approach. He rudely questioned our ability to afford it, which was embarrassing and entirely inappropriate. Such behavior is unacceptable in any customer service setting. The situation worsened when we discovered a hair inside and outside the jug. Expecting a basic level of hygiene, we brought this to the attention of the staff, hoping for a simple replacement. Astonishingly, our complaint was met with outright denial and disrespect. The bartender dismissed our concern, refused to replace the pitcher, and insinuated that we were lying by discarding the evidence. Further, the involvement of the bouncer, who supported the bartender's decision and asked us to leave, added to our distress. Not only was this a clear neglect of customer service, but it also felt like a case of racial discrimination, making us feel targeted and unwelcome. Such treatment is not only a violation of hospitality standards but also raises health concerns, as foreign objects in food and drink pose a risk to customers. The refusal to acknowledge and rectify a genuine complaint reflects poorly on your establishment. We expected a pleasant evening at Barracuda Taphouse but instead left feeling disrespected and discriminated against. I urge you to address this issue promptly to ensure no other customers experience such unacceptable service. NEVER EVER WILL RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!! I want apology from your staff and my refund back.

Bartender kicked us out of the outside tables. Place is empty on a Wednesday night. I’m a regular at this place. Never coming back.

Amazing institution in the heart of the Grove. If you’re looking to avoid the Miami glitz, and simply want a bar that feels like older Miami, that serves great food, and has an awesome vibe, Barracuda is where it’s at.

A Coconut Grove mainstay that is a whole vibe and then some. Come for a round of flip cup or beer pong, to catch a game or just to hang out with friends. Their beer selection is vast, and I absolutely love how many sour options they have (recently tried a watermelon gose that I really enjoyed). Haven't had the pleasure of trying the food (yet) , but there's both indoor and outdoor seating so it's super convenient to grab a bite. This spot is right on Fuller (a pedestrian street), so you can take a leisurely stroll before or after or hit up a couple of other bars in the area. Service here is always friendly, and parking can be found on nearby streets or the CocoWalk Garage on Grand.

This place is exactly what it's supposed to be. I went for the karaoke but was pleased to find they have a well organized and diverse beer selection and amazing Buffalo Wings. Gotta go back and try other food there. If you want pretty you'll have to bring your own. But if like me you like beer bars to just be a beer bar no frills you'd enjoy yourself here.

My first and only time in the place was terrible, I went with my girl to have a drink because the place looked nice and we lived near it, the bartender at the first drink service took a while to serve me because he was talking a lot and when he served me It was reluctantly and I didn't leave a tip since the bill was $15.50 and the service was bad. Then I go to order the same drinks on 2 more occasions and the same bartender takes and puts the tip himself and asks me for the card, which he cannot do because the customer leaves the tip he wants and depending on the service, that It's a violation. I asked him why he tipped my drinks and he said why yes and that I wasn't going to drink there and he expelled me from the place with the security, he charged me for that round of beer, he never gave it to me nor did he refund my money. From that last round, in the end he kept the money and the beers he had ordered, he just wanted to have a good time. The tip where I come from is given for good service and the waiter or bartender cannot tip it for himself, he doesn't even refund me the money for the last round I ordered, he charges me and I was never able to drink the beers. I hope it doesn't happen to you. Luego voy a pedir en 2 ocasiones más las mismas bebidas y el mismo bartender coge y se pone por el mismo la propina y me pide la tarjeta , cosa que no puede hacer porque el cliente deja la propina que quiere y en dependencia del servicio, eso es una violación. Le pregunté porque ponia por el mismo la propina de mis tragos y dijo que porque si y que yo no iba a tomar ahi y me expulsó del lugar con el seguridad, me cobro esa ronda de cerveza , nunca me las dio ni me reembolso el dinero de esa ultima ronda, al final se quedo con el dinero y con las cervezas que habia pedido, solo queria pasar un buen rato. Great spot for a relaxed happy hour, especially now that the weather is nicer. It’s also a great option if you want to grab a beer 🍺 and you happen to have your kids with you.

Bartender was doing drugs in the restroom & screamed for opening an unlocked restroom door when I was going to use the restroom, then proceeded to walk out and yell she's not serving us. It was super bizarre behavior. Won't be back :( Before this incidence, have had great experiences!!! Pumpkin beer is delish.

Terrible bouncer. He didn’t know what a valid driver’s license looks like. At the age of 26 I was told my ID wasn’t “real”. They need to invest in an ID scanner or learn what a valid driver’s license looks like.

Good place to drink, but don't wage your time on the food. Steak sandwich was served dry; no confinements at all. The buffalo chicken sandwich was ok. If you want to go out for a beer with your family, skip this place. It was very loud and it's just traditional bar food. It's a food place for couples and single people.

I love this place for the good selection of beer and the pool tables and beer pong tables. Great spot. I gave it 4 stars bc one of the bald male bartenders was harassing me because I didn’t leave a tip after buying one beer. I payed with a card and was going to tip him cash but before I was able to take my cash out he said “you know we live off tips!” I still tipped him but it’s very rude to ask for tips. Sometimes it’s better to not open your mouth before an interaction is over. I will not be tipping him any more. Sir you need to get a better job. You look to be about 40. Too old to be a bartender. If you need more money then hustle and grind. Go drink a bud light. Other than that the place is great.

Order a steak sandwich with no bread and French fries with 2 modelo especial . Modelo special like always the best, unfortunately cannot say the same from my steak , steak was rotten literally Rotten , they gave me a refund for the price of the meat but still the experience was terrible I almost threw up on the spot . They said they tried the meat it it was not rotten maybe I didn’t like they said but as a chef that I am . I know when a food or meat is rotten hopefully I dont get sick 🤢 .

Loved this tap room in Coconut Grove, amazing selection of beers, and really helpful server, the food was really good as well. 20% discount on HH. Only complaint was no prices advertised for drinks and no itemised bill , just a total cost. Some cool rock tracks playing as well.

My husband and I spent a great afternoon here. We only stopped for one beer, but thanks to the amazing Ciera several hours and 6 beer later we were still there. You should definitely check this bar out, go crazy and let Ciera help you choose from the many beers available. I can recommend the mimosa beer.

Average dive bar catering to underaged college kids. At the door you have the pleasure of meeting the the bouncer (dk if there is multiple, but this was the plus-sized black guy with the beard/goatee) who is on an ego trip and favors entry for the 20 & under crowd under the pretense that they’re “regulars”. It’s a typical college bar, but for being in such a nice neighborhood, I’m surprised they’re not the subject of police scrutiny. It could be a nice spot if they cleared out the kids & maybe had more capable security. Other than that it’s a great place to get a cheap pitcher of beer, greasy food, and sit on a sticky pink bench outside… if that’s your vibe.

Stopped by for lunch and was excited to try! You can play pool, just chill, or watch tv. Lots of comfort foodie and beer options on tap. There’s about 50! We got the snapper sandwich and the blackened mahi mahi on the grill, and then the bird road fries- SO GOOD! Definitely filling foods but enough to get your cravings in.

I must've bookmarked this place ages ago but now cant remember why...there is no table service, it feels like a food line and there is no hard copy of the menu to browse so the woman working offered to help by asking questions of what I like but honestly it felt like I may delay everyone else so I went for the old standby of beer and wings. management is sucking at this place. the 2 stars are solely for the nice woman working the counter. the wings here are just average and you can find them anywhere. maybe it was the decor and look of the place that appeals. otherwise it's just another average place

Came on a Saturday staff were lovely. Came back on Tuesday for our last night in Miami and the Bouncer’s on an ego trip wouldn’t accept British passports as ID for me and my fiancé. Go to Sandbar sports and grill, security way more friendly.
