Excellent restaurant, phenomenal food!!!!

From start to finish, one of the best meals ever! Chef Michelle Bernstien was so gracious and kind to come and talk to us before the dinner rush. We told the waiter we were big fans. She made us feel so welcome. It was an awesome experience and I can wait to come back. Thank you, Michelle!!!

Interesting menu but WAY TOO LOUD!

My boy friend and I watch Top Chef and saw Michelle on the show several times and we live in Miami so we decided to go try her place. It turns out it was less then 10 blocks from our house. My boy friend has traveled all over the world and has tried everything and is very harsh when it comes to new restaurants. Our 1st trip there we tried the tasting menu, it was amazing! We got to try 3 cold apps, 3 hot apps, and 4 main courses, and it had a refreshing desert to go along with it for a mere $75 a person. I have to say that my favorite dishes were the Oysters, Greek Watermelon Salad and the Foie gras. We were surprised to find that the most amazing restaurant in Miami was basically in our front yard. It wasn't long before we made our second trip, we weren't going to do the tasting menu again but when we got there we just had to. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, he had asked us what we had on the tasting menu before and made sure we got to try different dishes then last time. Again, everything was just out of this world. Michelle seems to put love in her food and into the atmosphere of this cute modern restaurant. We love it so much we are going to go for the 2nd time this week! We love Michy's.

Yeah this place may look like a hole in the wall, but I would consider it cozy. The place is a bit small and you may be able to hear other peoples' conversations during your meal but the service and food completely make up for this little flaw. I had the duck confit which was great, and it went well with the polenta that my buddy had as his appetizer. For my main course I had the Goat Cheese Gnocchi with Meatballs... definitely seemed like an odd choice of dish but when it arrived at the table it was extremely delicious. The waiter was helpful and knowledgeable about the food and the bill was not as expensive as other places in Miami. Definitely go here and try out something you are not familiar with on the menu as I did and you may be pleasantly surprised.
