Food was excellent 👌. Service in the other hand was horrible It took 20 minutes for them to acknowledge us. During our time there they never check on us, nit even to get more water refill.The parking is awful as well.

definitely was a smaller container for the large broth but none the less still amazing soup. Got the vegetarian soup and it’s always so satisfying, my one year old goes crazy for it too!

This is my favorite place to eat at!!! The filet mignon rice place with fried rice and all the veggies and 4 egg rolls is my forever go to!! You won't be dissatisfied I promise. Their prices are incredible too

This was my second visit. First time I had chicken lemongrass wirh rice and it was great. Second visit HD grilled pork vermicelli bowl and was underwhelmed and dissapointed. Lacking in vegetables and not anywhere near as flavorful as other Vietnamese restaurants for example Lime and Coda Bakery.

TL;DR Probably the freshest serving of basil leaves and good portion of bean sprouts you’ll find. Low on meat serving, but good broth… Bánh mì is more like a Subway sandwich 3/5 Super happy with the Pho Dac Biet. You won’t find it because the menu is full English and holds your hand “building” a bowl step-by-step. A little sad to see the loss in language/culture. Broth had a good base with a slight taste of MSG, better than most watered-down, powder-based broths you’ll usually get. Was very disappointed when I got the bánh mì. Why is it served with thick slices of tomatoes, zucchini and cucumber? Since when did Vietnamese bánh mì turn into an Italian sandwich? Where’s the cilantro, the pâté, the sweetened soy sauce or mayo? The bread texture should be egg-shell crunchy outside, airy inside, yet what I seemed to have gotten was a sad 6” Subway white bread. Peanut sauce is for gỏi cuốn NOT bánh mì.

Dinner in with a friend. I got a combo which was delicious, delicately flavored. My friend got the same but she subbed the pork sausage for an extra egg roll which was a good call and I'll do it next time as I wasn't wild about the sausage. Service was great, very attentive, and the place was busy enough to show how popular it is but not so busy that we had to wait at all.

The service is friendly, the atmosphere is clean. We stopped here on our way back from Arizona on a Monday evening and they were pretty busy. The portion sizes are great for the price. Unfortunately, the pho and banh mi were a bit bland. On the bright side, the Thai tea I ordered was good.

Best Pho around!! My son and I meet up for lunch often and this is ALWAYS our go to place!! I get the tofu one and he gets rare beef. The bowls are large and have lots of noodles and other goodness in them. It’s very satiating and satisfying. LOVE it!!

The food here is the best! Highly recommend this place. It’s made fresh and it’s out quickly. the portions are big and tasty. The staff is friendly and attentive. You can’t go wrong with this place.

My cousin took us as we were visiting the city. It was extremely busy but all the workers worked to get everyone seated quickly. There was little to no wait time to be served drinks and our order taken. Extremely fast for such a busy time! Be sure to arrive for an appetite because the portions are BIG! I ordered the Vegetable Soup and it was DE-LI-CIOUS! The broth alone was so tasty. Everyone in my party enjoyed the food. We did need a couple of takeout boxes because it was so much for one sitting. Go and enjoy!

I highly recommend any noodle bowl, the claypot, and the green curry. This might be my favorite restaurant in Albuquerque and is at least top 3. Each meal can feed 2 people. My wife and I always split a meal and are always full. Claypot might be a little small for 2 people if you're hungry. Also note that extra rice for green curry costs extra, which is a little disappointing.

Food was amazing as always. However, the service was terrible. My server apparently forgot about me and never checked up on me till he brought the bill then acted as if I was bothering him when I asked for Thai tea to go. I remember when I used to come here both service and food were always awesome. Nice food is still good but my server was just awful.

we were traveling from texas to Arizona and found this place....this is the best Vietnamese food ever. if i could give more stars i would. Don't pass this gem up in Albuquerque!!! the service was beyond perfection. thank you to everyone!!

I came in at lunch rush with 2 kids, we were seated in 10 min with the place full. I ordered within a few min and the food came out quickly and it was delicious. Staff here works hard and efficiently. Thanks for the great lunch experience!

Ate there for lunch on a Sunday and very disappointed in this establishment. We were left unattended. No one came by to refill our water, take plates, ask if there was anything we needed. All the employees are only kissing up to white people while us brown people were left alone. I wanted to order more food and another drink nobody came by. Why do they have a gratuity already added to the receipt when the service was bad?! There was 4 adults and 3 children.

My experience at the restaurant was disappointing and unsettling. As the only African / Black American people of color in the establishment, we waited over 25 minutes for service while other tables were promptly attended to. Attempts to get the attention of a manager or server were met with disregard, and staff members seemed to laugh at our request. After finally being able to place our order, we were asked if the bill would be separate, which added to the uncomfortable experience. The food did, however, come out fast, and the taste and presentation were excellent. While I can recommend the food, the service was far from satisfactory.

Pad Thai had zero flavor and chicken was dry and very chewy. No reason for me to go back and fight for parking.

The waiter was so kind and courteous! They were very packed but managed to stay calm and were very nice. The food was very good especially for the price. The only thing I wish is that the tofu was seasoned before frying.

There was plenty of seating for our family of 6 and an infant. The staff was friendly and answered our questions. The kids' pho was the perfect size for my 8 year old. Everything was delicious and fresh, and food came out fairly quickly.

Servers were not so friendly, but the food was awesome, so that offset the unfriendly staff.

If I could leave negative stars I would, we stopped to have dinner and were seated very quickly. Then nothing… we never got menus or anyone to come over and take our order. All the waitresses were sitting at the back table rolling silverware. We had to flag someone down to ask for menus at which point they only give us one menu for the two of us. We ended up just walking out

This is one of our favorite in town and theor food is usually super good, however this last time the food was not as good as usually (they could have had an off day we understand that) but then we ended up getting food poisoning from the food we ate, my entire family was down for a couple days due to being it, as well as our friends we dined with. Definitely makes one a little leery of going here in the future despite our usual love for this place. We hope they clean things up a little so we can enjoy once again some of our favorite food.

Best Vietnamese food I've ever had!! The phó is soooo good! The portion sizes are great, the service is quick, the building is clean, and the atmosphere is very nice. Definitely recommend!

Anazing pho, also really good pad thai. Theres a few, but super solid vegan options with a couple changes, such as no egg with rice noodles etc.

I'm no Vietnamese cuisine foodie, but quality seemed on point for everyone in my group. Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner. Basil Leaf is a pretty popular spot in Albuquerque.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The food was just okay. The service is what I didn't like. Took a long time to have anyone come greet us. I had to wave someone down to order, ask for things etc. Even though they had several employees. If they weren't waiting on tables and waiting for food to come out or to go orders, they were laughing and friendly with each other and other staff. Versus checking on tables. They were very cold to customers but seemed to have a great time with each other. If you want to be treated like a cattle call then you might like this place. i still haven't found any place better then Viet Taste for Vietnamese. Won't be going back here

This place used to be reliable, but I don't know what's happened to it now. We visited today for the first time in years, and it was a disappointment. The staff seemed most focused on getting people in and out. Once our food was out, the only other interaction we had with anyone was someone dropping off the bill—no check-ins to make sure things were okay or whether we needed anything. Our pho broth was bland, and the amount of food in the broth (and, e.g., the basil brought out alongside the pho) was underwhelming. Nearby, I'd say you're better served by Pho Linh, Huong Thao, or Viet Taste. Sorry to say I won't be choosing to return to Basil Leaf.

I love the food! But the service is rude. We have been treated awful by the staff several times. I took my friend here last week and one of the staff members kept kicking my jacket multiple times as she walked by. Customers walked behind me none kicked my jacket. I was disappointed.

Very pleasantly surprised by this place. Felt like it was authentic Vietnamese food all throughout. Prices are extremely reasonable and portions are really good. I loved the ambiance and decor of the restaurant as well. Restaurant felt warm and inviting. Service was quick and attentive even with the insane level of busyness the staff was juggling with customers and to go orders. Check out the Ban Mihs. I had the Teriyaki chicken skewers and they were fantastic.

Very nice restaurant, very bustling seems to be the place to bring big families. Lots of dishes can have tofu substituted which is good for plant based diets.

Tried to do over the phone order for pick up was told it was not there when I ask if I can put in a Togo order and wait I was told I would be charged twice for it

Very disappointed in this establishment! My family of 5 was left unattended for the entire time after receiving our meal. No one came by to refill our water, take plates, ask if there was anything we needed or even give us the bill. My children, who were thirsty, made many attempts to make contact with the servers helping nearby tables, but no luck. After waving down a cashier we received our bill with an added Gratuity charge. I asked that be waved since we had poor service, but the manager only gave excuses about how parties of 5 or more are ALWAYS charged and that we must have been caught up in the shift change. Evan as she admitted to the neglect, I offered to tip half the gratuity (given someone did take the order) but still manager said it was already charged and refused to compromise! I would not recommend for parties of 5 or more, for they can ignore you and still get compensated for "service" not given! Will not be returning.

I have been coming this place since 2015. I specially enjoyed pho noodle soup which is very authentic and tasty. But recently I recognized the soup supposed to hot that's more getting cook on tge table and keep warm until finished. Also tasty isn't like before. It tast like water and some beef stock melted. And other menu is fry rice noodles dish isn't like before it used to be with lot of vegetables(zhukini, carrot,onion, celery, brocoli, cabbage and green onion) with noodle. But I noticed yesterday that dish with just few carrot and 3 slice of zucchini that's all even I recognized it how many of them. Fully I understand it was the busiest time I've visited. So they couldn't have enough of stocks at their kitchen. I think they need to explain for its out of materials or stocks. Then customer could understand and chose other menu.

Always love the food and service. The place is always busy and they take care of you right away. The food is delicious. The crispy edges of the clay pot rice are spectacular. Their spice is my favorite- it’s truly spicy. Everything has great flavor- you can’t go wrong with anything here!

HOLY WOW. We walked in and the place was completely packed. They had us seated, waited on and food out to us within 10 minutes. I have never received service like this in my life. 10/10. No mistakes . Cannot recommend enough

Had a phone order and walked in only to be ignored by two gentleman specifically standing in from of me doing menial tasks. If you can’t say high or welcome in the roughly 5 minutes I stood there in a blaze orange hiking jacket I’ll go elsewhere.

Delicious take out. Ready fast. Lots of it for the money. Noticed a lot of people eating and coming in about 5pm on a week day. Going back for sure after this first time.

Our party of four was greeted upon arrival and seated immediately. We were there for a late lunch and were surprised that we were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and pleasant. Our menu selections were taken and it didn't seem very long before our entreés were served hot and tasty. Our beverage of choice was water and our server ensured our water glasses were always full. There isn't a bad choice on the menu. All items are very tasty and filling. We needed some to-go boxes! Leftovers are just as tasty!! I love their noodle bowls. The egg rolls are also very tasty.

Food is pretty good. Portions are pretty big. Prices aren't bad. Barely any parking. It was just so busy, it was hard to enjoy the experience with so many people waiting to be seated, inches away from us eating.

A great go to for delicious, authentic pho and I highly recommend their shrimp spring rolls. The service can be very rushed due to the high volume of costumers but the food more than makes up for it. Highly recommend!

This place used to be one of my top picks for Pho in the city. During my most recent visit I received the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. We ordered some coffee drinks from the menu and my daughter took one drink and immediately got an upset stomach. When I brought it to the attention of the gentleman operating the cash register, he looked at me and asked if she drank it? I stated yes she took a sip and it immediately disagreed with her stomach. I politely asked for him to remove it from the ticket since it was undrinkable and potentially could harm others. The gentleman refused to give us our money back and proceeded to make a scene like I was trying to get our $75.00 bill taken care of. I only wanted the drink removed which was only $5. It wasn’t about the drink, it was about the principle of good customer service. It’s pretty unfortunate that the recent best of city awards have gotten to their heads. We won’t be back. There is plenty of other great pho restaurants around town that will be happy to take our money for great service. ✌️

Very good food. Love that they fish sauce option for spring rolls in addition to the peanut sauce. Very busy place, very tight seating, and the popularity of the restaurant does effect the quality of the service. The staff just seemed overwhelmed. Great food, will be back, but perhaps when we're hungry at a more "off" hour.

Large rare steak pho with extra vegetables shown. It was delicious and had some for leftovers that I'm looking forward to. Husband got the green curry and it was great and spicy. The hot ginger tea was yummy. I prefer the spring rolls over the egg rolls and won't get the egg rolls again.

I recently had to lower this place from a 4-Star to a 3-Star due to poor customer service. Management, please train your staff to be more attentive to their customers. Waited a long time for someone to take our order and longer to receive our order! When we finally received our food the waiter never checked on us again. We needed our drinks refilled, extra napkins, limes, and eventually our bill with take out containers. C'MON SERIOUSLY!!!!!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would!! Food is excellent and fresh and always quick for take out orders. This is my go to for lunch almost daily. The down side is they get a much deserved and needed day off, Tuesday's ;) keep it up !!!

Food was great! It was my first time trying Vietnamese food and it was delicious. We had chicken pad Thai, spring rolls, shrimp fried rice, and shrimp/pork salad. It was very busy so the service was ok. I would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant. The beef broth was superb along with Rare Steak. I am in love with their affordable and market value prices. For most Vietnamese restaurants, this price is on par with others, but the quality is above notch. Our friend had the Lemongrass bowl and that looked mouth watering - going to get that next time. Overall, the service was great and they were able to split our checks.

Absolutely one of the best Vietnamese places I've tried in the states. Their pho with lemongrass broth is very unique and tastes super tasty! All other foods I tried were also very great.

I was a bit surprised by this place, thinking it was going to be a fine dining experience. It is a nice place with great food, but it has more of a family friendly feel to it. Nothing wrong with that at all. Staff were all genial and hustling, and dang, our food came out QUICK. Flavors and portions were spot on, and prices were quite reasonable.
