Fun bar off the normal Duval Street path. Good beer selection. Very clean. Close to some fun food places. The staff are awesome!

This place is strong AC and good beer. Every bartender was super cool to talk too also. Chill place to bring some food and hang out. Def recommend.

Cold AC, great drink selection and fun banter with the staff! We loved hanging out with Johnny for the afternoon and swapping stories. They had the largest NA menu I’ve found in Key West with great NA beer and other botanical choices. We can’t wait to visit again!

My wife and I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon in The Bearded Lady, Southard Street, Key West. Great service, great beers, and lots of fun conversations with “locals”. Our first time, but we’ll be back. Great to look at the server’s puppies (see my photograph). Great job, Johnny!

This place is low key a gem in Key West. It’s just off Duval, so it’s out of all the riff raff. They have a pretty good selection of beer as well. I stopped here 2 times while in Key West. 1st time was later at night and the bartender brought in his Golden Retriever dog. Don’t remember the bartenders name but he was super nice. Finn, the dog was great, made me miss my dogs back home. 2nd time I came in, we had another great bartender. We came in mid afternoon for a few more beers. The vibe is really laid back here which is a nice change of pace from the rest of Key West. The service again, was great and the beers are relatively cheap. I’m definitely coming back.

I had a rather frustrating personal encounter with an employee here, though I was not a customer- just passing by. My boyfriend and I were riding scooters down a one way in the wrong direction, this was clearly my fault and he had tried to stop me but he was behind me so I could not hear him. I had already stopped and turned around after traffic just in time to witness your employee come running out of rage to yell at my boyfriend. He called him “a stupid tourist” and a “douchebag” and much more to which my boyfriend told him to go back inside. Those insults don’t sound like this employee is “concerned for our safety”. I parked and went inside this establishment with the objective of finding out why it was necessary to display that nasty behavior, especially in front of 3 customers he had inside. Before I spoke one word, he told me “you’re not welcome here”. Really? Because I upset him evidently SO much by making a mistake I am almost positive every tourist makes once or twice while visiting. It would have been completely different story if he had come out and warned us nicely that we were going the wrong direction, but that is not what happened. Had he done that we would have gone inside and bought a beer! He proceeded to yell at me inside while I tried to calmly speak to him, he told me he was going to call the cops! I told him to please do so. He kept saying over and over “you know what you did was wrong” as if someone would purposefully ride down a one way in the wrong direction. It’s a simple mistake. He was very condescending towards me & almost incapable of holding a calm and mature conversation. After getting no where with him I proceeded to leave. I went outside to take a picture of this establishment to make sure I, or any of my friends/ family who often visit key west do not spend their hard earned money there in the future. He came back outside and said “you’re ugly” then ran back in because he had nothing else to say. Pointless. Must’ve been upset I was taking a picture. If the owner of this bar reads this, you either received a very shortened and skewed version of this story from your employee OR you condone this kind of behavior in your establishment. I’m sure this is a great bar with good food and spirits, but unfortunately in today’s world that’s not enough. Customer service will make or break you. To anyone else who chooses to enter this establishment, I hope you have a different experience than I did and are treated with kindness and compassion as you should be.

I wish you had a 10 star rating because this place deserves it. As for the bad reviews below. Sounds like you stumbled upon the unofficial guardian of Key West, tasked with protecting the locals from the utterly unforgivable sin of... driving down the wrong street. How dare you seek logic and calmness in the face of such heroic dedication? And to be denied entry into a place you had zero interest in entering? Heartbreaking. Truly, a missed opportunity to experience what clearly must be the pinnacle of hospitality. As for the personal fashion critique delivered free of charge, well, who knew drive-by insults were part of the local charm? It's almost like you were given a personalized tour of what not to do in Key West, courtesy of its most enthusiastic, albeit unhinged, ambassador. Remember, it's not a true vacation until you've been yelled at by a stranger for a simple mistake. Welcome to paradise!

DO NOT GO HERE! My friends and I were visiting Key West on May 1. As we were driving by this establishment around 4pm, a deranged employee came out SCREAMING at us because we accidentally turned down a one way road. He proceeded to call us names and all kinds of insults. Then told us we were not allowed inside the establishment, even though we were not trying to come in - we simply asked what his issue was and to please calm down! As we walked away from his confrontation he called my friend UGLY. This man needs to be removed immediately. What kind of employee calls a random young girl ugly?? Seemed like he was on drugs or something the way he was acting over nothing. We weren't even customers, just passersby! INSANE!

Amazing beer only outshined by the people.

Lucy from Blue Heaven suggested we stop there on the way to Frita’s and I’m so glad we did. We walked by it several times but thought it was a beer related shop, because it was so cool, clean and sunny. When you got in it was comfortable chilled and the bartenders Brian, Pauli (polly) & Landon were great. So much so that over the eight years we ended up stopping by there three times, including before our flight. maybe the staff is questionable, but they’re my kind of people. Go for the beer stay for the vibe.

Really cool spot with great, relaxed vibes. The bartender was awesome with great conversation and a friendly pour. Definitely worth going here a little off the standard path to avoid the crowds.

This was our first stop at this cool local’s spot — and we were immediately and enthusiastically greeted by Landon, who made us feel totally welcome. We hunkered in for several rounds while it torrentially rained outside. The Beaded Lady has maybe the best curated selection of craft beer on the island (since we’ve had to bid a sad farewell to The Porch). Maine Lunch, Sun Lab Savage Vibes, Wicked Weed Milk & Cookies, and Left Hand Candy Cane Milk Stout, FTW! Landon hooked us up with a free 2/3 beer when the keg blew and he couldn’t do a full pour. The bar was fully decked out for Christmas — and the TVs were playing the absolute cheesiest holiday romances available, which gave us all ample chances to share snarky banter. Even better: it’s dog-friendly, so we got to meet some new furry friends. TL;DR: cool humans, fabulous craft beer, sweet doggos. All around goodness. We will be back!

Wow!! What a fun place to visit and get a cold one with some witty conversation. We stepped in on a whim to escape the heat of the day and stayed two hours. Landon, the bartender, was a hoot🥸. There were two locals and lots of friendly and lively conversation. Not sure what you want to drink? No problem for there was knowledgeable info on the breweries and you are welcome to sample anything on tap. This little gem is a must while visiting Key West.

In a town with bars that literally date back to the 19th century (nearby Green Parrot opened in 1890 and Capt Tony's just down the street is the oldest bar in FLA), Bearded Lady is a Key West newcomer. But an awesome newcomer! Right off Duval on Southard St, around the corner from Mile Marker Zero, and walking distance from anywhere in Old Town. Awesome draft and can selection and even awesomer people (shout out to Landon and BDS)! One of our most frequent haunts while bar-hopping one of the bar-hoppiest spots in the universe! No food, but several awesome joints nearby to grab a bite and bring in some take-out to go with your favorite brews (I highly recommend Frida's and/or The Jerk just down the street or Big Cheezees right across the street). And as an added bonus, the Bearded Lady has the cleanest restroom on the island, maybe in the entire Keys!

The bartender and her French bulldog were very cool and helpful. They recommended the restaurant Santiago Bodego for dinner, and we absolutely loved it. Good advice thx much.

If you're on Duval, stop at Bearded Lady. If for no other reason than to get the 'Gansett, Sake shot and pretzel rod special. After all, you know you want to. Local color, probably local puppers, and beer. Honestly what else do you need?

I got a kick out of some of the negative reviews on here. We are tourists but we love craft beer. This place is definitely a local haunt and focuses mainly on craft beer. It’s not a liquor spot. In a good way. Good beer selection, great people both workers and patrons. What more do you need?

Bearded Lady is the likely leader for best beer selection in Key West. From the bearded Betty White greeting you at the front door...to the Wish chicken...to the legendary Angry Larry sitting in the corner, it's a great place to kick back and unwind with a unique beer or six. Bearded Lady is a true gem, and I'd highly recommend it.

A hidden gem! Rob was an amazing bartender who can pour the best beer flavored beer in KW and make crazy ladies like a player. Also, if you buy 4 drinks, you can get an autographed coaster from Angry Larry! I know it’ll be worth MILLIONS one day!

Blinded by Google to be a busy spot this bar was empty and two bored guys were in there ... one behind and one in front of the bar. The drinks limited, strange beer and I didn't dare to ask for an Aperol Spritz. The bartender didn't know anything about bearded ladies (not even from the movie The Greatest Showman). A very awkward place, even when other guests arrived.

My husband and I stopped by this beautiful bar 6/14/2022 …. We were met by Brian a wonderful, funny, animal love man. We felt like we have known Brian for years after we left …. I highly recommend you stop by and enjoy their great selection of cold beers….
