Get there 45 minutes before opening. They only allow 40 diners in at a a time. Bring your own alcohol and tailgate in the parking lot with everyone else. Apps/drinks only on the patio. I had a burger thinking it would be cooked on the same appliance as the steaks. No, it isn't. Cash or check only unless maybe they will let you do dishes.

Better than I deserved! It was absolutely fantastic. Steak was so tender and juicy!

Arrived at 5:30 pm on Saturday, and it was completely full with an hour and a half wait, which we couldn't do. We were so disappointed but the food looked great!

Had a ribeye with shrimp and fries. It was incredible.

My friends and I put our name on the waiting list and proceeded to their deck outside to have a drink and wait for our table. Being that the place is cash only, I brought a $100 bill to pay for our drinks and dinner. I bought a round for my group of 4 and my total was $20.50. I asked the bartender if she could break $100. She said yes and proceeded to make our drinks. She took my $100 and 50 cents. I stood there waiting for 10 minutes or so at the window for my change. When she finally came back and I asked her for my change.. she gaslighted me and told me I paid with a $20. She “checked the till” and said there were no $100 bills in it. Being a cash only restaurant.. I can’t begin to imagine that they don’t have a $100 in their till. So I immediately knew then that she was lying. She blatantly stole $80 from me and other guests that watched me order know it, too. Based on this experience alone, paired with our hour wait for a table.. we won’t be coming back. Watch out for the bartender with blonde hair and a nose piercing.. she definitely pocketed my money.

Finally had a chance to try them out. We have some really good steak places in Texas but Bergens dinners are making me want to head back for more.

Atmosphere is kind of frantic because people are lined up waiting for doors to open then pile & rush in once they open. I do like the "hole in the wall" feel, in the middle of nowhere. Service was good, she was busy so there was some waiting but not horribly so. Very friendly. I wasn't impressed with the food. We got the prime rib & jumbo shrimp for two. The shrimp was tough, the prime rib was mediocre. The twice baked potato...meh. Nothing was fantastic, I was underwhelmed. I don't like giving negative reviews but the truth is that it wasn't as good as everyone raves about for me. Maybe had we ordered something different? The server did her best, I have no complaints there. But the food was just blah & not cheap. I won't be in a hurry to return. I went there a few times around 12 years ago & it seemed like much better food back then. If I go back, I'll definitely order something else.

The aroma outside while waiting, in its self was worth the drive. We missed the prime rib (got to get there Fri for that, we went sat) but the new york strip made up for it. We just love the cozy feel of the place. The only thing missing was some pie for desert. There was 4 of us and everyone had a great meal.

The food was incredible and staff was very friendly and attentive. Nice little 'off the beaten path' establishment. Looking forward to going back!!

Wow! Fantastic place to eat. Rode Harley's there, busy but very well worth it. Nice and thick cuts of prime rib, huge shrimp so delicious. Just remember no debit/cc accepted. Cash/check only. There will be a line to get in. It is an amazing place to eat very high end quality food. Definitely surpassed expectations! Best steak at a restaurant that we have ever had. Friendly, didn't have cash, they allowed us to eat and go to next town to get cash and pay after we enjoyed our meal. Very nice folks.

Just a little place with very good steak. I can't even describe the atmosphere because there wasn't any! The restaurant has just enough room for the waitresses, the tables, and you to sit down and have dinner. Not one extra square foot!! On to the food, I had the prime rib and the asparagus cream soup both of which were scrumptious. Big portions on the prime rib! And the service was wonderful. My only gripe is they didn't have dessert, however my waistline thanks them! All in all a nice place to go for dinner just make sure you're ready to wait your turn. 👍

The steak was delicious but, not worth the wait or the dinning experience. Building is cramped and out dated. This would make a better take out spot.

Always amazing- Yes, you will wait. Yes, it's cash or check only. The steaks and shrimp are well worth it. Awesome breading on the onion rings, chicken, shrimp, and fish. Delicious twice-baked potatoes. Quick and focused servers. Always a win.

Phenomenal wait staff and food! Visited for the first time last weekend and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Bergen Bar & Grill's interior setup is lovely and their service is lightning-fast; not only that, the food was hot and delicious. We ordered the potato wedges and shrimp for appetizers...🤌!! Wait staff is kind, attentive and all-around fantastic! Thank you for a perfect dining experience!

Very small place, but we had amazing service & the employees seemed like they wanted to be there. A rare thing these days. Food was excellent & a good amount for the price. Definitely recommend going here! Keep up the good work!

Small restaurant that rocks. Shrimp and steak for 2 can't be beat!! Sure it's a long wait if you don't get there early but we'll worth it and it's fun tailgating while you wait

Ate here last Saturday at the bar. The staff are real pros and run a great operation. My strip steak was a bit over cooked, but my issue is that I ordered a ribeye. I couldn't tell at first because it was completely covered in mushrooms. Wanting to finish on the cap end, I started at what I thought was the tail. but there was no tail, just loin eye. When I got to the other end, I found maybe a 1 x 3 inch strip of cap meat. By then it was too late to say anything. It's possible a meat supplier sold this as ribeye, but either way, it should never have been served as one.

Best restaurant. Still love this place.

Awesome food and an old small town bar atmosphere. A long wait is expected. Order a drink and an appetizer on the patio while you wait and enjoy the company of those with you.

Got there and had a short wait. We ordered the steak for two with six shrimp, which was more than enough for us and was very good. Service was very good also.

I've been hearing about this place for quite some time. We finally made it down there and we really enjoyed it. Don't let the look of the outside scare you away. It's a small hidden gem. Service was very nice and the pricing matches the food. Only thing that surprised me was that the shrimp was breaded and not grilled. Nothing wrong with it, just expected grilled shrimp with steaks like this. All around a good experience and I'll be back this summer on the bike.

As always steaks done to perfection. Two gals kept busy up front. Can't ask for much more building and area has history. Worth the hour drive for us!

Went for my bday with my son and fiance and grandaughter. Had an hour wait but was worth it! Prime rib was huge! Steak was juicy and cooked perfectly! Bread is the softest & warmest soo good! Absollutley worth the drive and wait and money!

Twice we have driven a hour one way to eat there and they are closed. The hours on Google are not the actual hours. Also no phone number to call ahead. Really want to try this place. Please update Google.

Cash only so they don't have to report their income. (That's why it's cheap) The psychology of waiting gives you a false sense of quality. Poor business ethics and customer service. Dry age a steak and grill it yourself. I'm never going back to this dump.

Amazing food and the wait staff worked thier butts off. You will have to wait to get a table. Go inside and put your name and number on the list to make sure you will get seated. It's more than worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Come early and bring cash. This place fills up. They serve some top notch steak, on par with some $60+ cuts I’ve had in cities.

What a fantastic little place. Love the small mom and pop restaurants. Service was fantastic we went in with a group of 7 and they got us seated right away. Food was excellent and the portions were very big. Looking forward to our next visit.

It was a busy Saturday! Had to wait in our car for a while. But it was a great steak dinner for a special occasion.

Best steaks in...the world! I'm just gonna say it. Jumbo shrimp was also excellent. Their side salads and rolls are amazing. You can't go wrong!

First off: cash only, as a precaution. If you can get beyond that, what a great little historic bar. Staff is hard working and the food is great! Support the small town business with a visit here.

A great "hole in the wall" steakhouse.

Went there to celebrate and was very disappointed!! Had name on their list and was never called. Asked for a booth. An hour later still no call. Called them and said come on in. I said I was already on the list and no one called. The asked my name then said come on in. When we went in they said if you want a booth you need to put name on the list. I said it has been on there for an hour with no call! Not impressed at all!! Thanks for nothing!

Great food, service was very good. If you are not there when it opens be prepared to wait, seating is limited. Reasonable prices, steak for 2 was more than we could eat. Was a little loud,great atmosphere and history on the walls.

This hidden gem of a steakhouse was exactly what we were looking for on our anniversary! The service was excellent, the steaks were cooked to perfection and well worth the price point. The apps were large and delicious. 11/10 overall

Great food! The Prime rib is amazing!

Never a disappointing meal! Small setting so get there early and wait for the door to open, especially weekends. Steaks are perfect everytime and fish, sandwiches, and shrimp are delicious!

I would give 10 stars if possible! Best filet magnon my husband and I have ever had! (Pretty sure you could have cut it with a butter knife!) Shrimp was delicious as well. We enjoyed our entire meal. Service was great too! It is a small restaurant so you want to be there when they open, Friday and Saturday probably before they open, although I did hear people calling to check on seating so that may be an option as well. Prime rib Friday and Saturday night and we will have yo go back and check that out! Definitely worth the drive to enjoy a delicious meal

Been going to Bergen Bar and Grill for many years and have never been disappointed. Just need to get there Before they open at 5:00 As there are people lined up to get in the door! They also have Outdoor seating. Bring cash or check as they do not take debit or credit cards.

Steak made to perfection. Although I think they make enough money to have a debit/credit card system or at least an ATM. Not everyone carries cash now days. Other than that Steak, shrimp and twice baked potatoes are amazing

This place is awesome! We had a hamburger and rib eye and shrimp. Everything was delicious. And the service was fast and friendly. We will definately come again when we are in town.

Would give this place 6 stars if I could. Food was fantastic, our server (shout out to Rachel) was so great and kind. Heads up, they open for dinner at 5 and get very busy. We were the first ones there and we got there at around 4 to claim our spot in line. You could probably get there at 4:30 and be ok depending on the day but I would recommend being there at 4 or 4:15. Bring chairs to sit in while you wait, and for you adults, maybe a few drinks. If you have kids bring something for them to do. Like I said, the food is fantastic. Tops the list of best steak I've had!

My husband and I wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. And it was our first time to try their steaks last weekend and I can't wait to go back and eat again there👌. They really know how to cook the steak. The waitresses are really nice and attentive. It is not a big area and you have to wait for quite sometime to be seated but it is really worth the wait. They don't do reservation so better come ahead of time.

I absolutely love this bar and grill. We go here for many special occasions birthdays, anniversaries, etc. It never disappoints. The food and service is great!!

The shrimp are amazing! Steak tasted great but was a little fatty. Food portions are definitely worth the cost. Every thing tasted delicious. There is usually a wait time from my understanding, but we decided to eat outside and we got a table right away. Will be back again!
