Very friendly waitresses, polite construction crew (building an addition that will accommodate over 100 people for year round, indoor seating), beautiful views and the food was top notch quality! Black Angus steak cooked to perfection, homemade sausage patties with a fine tuned balance of sweet/heat/herb, homemade sourdough toast with choice of 4 homemade jams, homefries were walnut sized pieces of real potato golden brown and not loaded with onion or strong seasoning that can cause digestive issues for some people. The coffee was AWESOME...strong, fresh and cold water served in a glass decanter! We took home blueberry orange muffins to our family and they said they were the best they'd ever tasted. Thank you for bringing a farm to table type quality meal option to Washington County! WE WILL BE BACK!

Quaint and charming farm to table cafe in Machias, Maine

Such a bummer. I had to throw out 100$ worth of food. And idk how one ruins fillet mignon but they did. Burnt to a crisp outside and raw in the middle which wouldn’t have been bad if the outside hadn’t been so charred it was all you could taste. The grilled veggies were completely raw. The Cesar salad with grilled chicken was very good though. I wish I had know the other stuff was gonna be so bad I would have saved my money and gotten just the salad. Apple crisp was very undercooked apples and hard oats but it was better than the steak.

The Farmer Breakfast was excellent!! Service great!! I would recommend them 5 stars!! Make sure you eat out on the porch if you can!!

Great find outside of Machias, ME. Unique location and menu on a farm and event venue. Food was expertly prepared and service was awesome even with a group of 8. Delicious and unique combination with generous portions.

Was really hoping to enjoy this place. Front staff was very short with us and made us feel like a nuisance. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches with bacon, didn’t realize until we got home that both had Canadian bacon instead. We definitely said bacon, which is on their menu. Coffees also came in unlabeled white cups, no way to tell them apart. Make sure to ask if you want them labeled. We ordered one with dairy and one with non-dairy milk but couldn’t tell which was which. It was almost $40 for two small coffees and two sandwiches. We live nearby and always prefer to shop local but felt like our business wasn’t wanted here.

If it’s busy, you may want to make reservations, but this place is fantastic. FRESH!! I’m biased towards farm to table, but this spot was really top notch. Just what we needed for a Sunday Brunch.

We would have loved to try this place but we were not made to feel very welcome. I checked online and saw many open reservations so we headed to the restaurant. Upon arrival we were informed that the completely empty restaurant was booked solid and we could sit in the tent, if we wanted. I pointed out that I had checked online and it showed many tables available. Staff informed me that if she knew how to turn that off she would. Had the staff been more friendly we may have headed for the tent, but since it was cooler we decided to go elsewhere. A real disappointment.

I and several of my friends have been a loyal patrons of West Branch Farms for a bit over two years. We frequent the Cafe and your shop. I have said your praises to many individuals who have become loyal customers as well. This comes from kindness and the hope for good fresh locally sourced food is made a priority. I understand you are growing, but…. You need to find individuals who know what real service is. I don’t care if you are having a bad day, you put a smile on your face when on the clock in the hospitality industry. A multitude of times we have walked in and empty tables are full of dirty dishes. There isn’t a line, they are not incredibly busy, it’s called working hard. Step it up. The parking lot now is hard to traverse through since the fake green grass pavilion was added. The green carpet covers big rocks that could easily cause an injury. You seriously need to rethink the handicapped ramp- it’s the farthest thing away from the entrance- flip it around- elderly or disabled individuals have a very hard time walking through that mess- along with the huge attractive propane tank obstacle course. The tables in the Cafe are together so it’s uncomfortable for the guests and staff to move around. You feel like you are in a movie theater scooting around. I’m an average 49 year old with fully functioning limbs- this is what I have witnessed and discussed with my differently abled friends who join me. The quality of the food from brunch to dinner has significantly decreased recently. Food is thrown together in a non appetizing way on the plate. I was in the Navy for 20 years and I’ve seen better plating in the galley- not kidding. My Prime rib was slapped on the plate half over the potatoes and half over the vegetables. Vegetables are full of water, and overcooked. Where is the fresh local variety? Half the time the food is lukewarm or soggy. I ordered a sandwich and the ham was budget quality dripping wet packaged ham. I have hope you will attempt to turn this around before going forward in the wrong direction that is not benefitting your guests.

FABULOUS! Stopped here to take a work meeting and found crazy fast wifi, incredible farm to table food, and really friendly staff. So glad we stopped!

Beautiful place to enjoy coffee or lunch! They have a market with great treats and gifts. I was admiring the view while I ordered coffee and dessert to go. The drinks were delicious and pretty. The only issue was asking the pot de creme dessert to go. When I received the dessert, it appeared to be scooped out and missing its garnish. Still tasty! UPDATE: My family and I stopped here for brunch. Highly recommend their harvest salad, the crispy fried haddock, and their artichoke dip. It's definitely a place to keep on your places to visit as the quality, price, atmosphere, and service are exceptional compared to everywhere else I've been.

OMG!!! This place is a short drive off Rt. 1 in Machias, ME, but, MAKE THE DRIVE! Not sure exactly what we were expecting, but we got a whole lot more! One of the best breakfasts we have had in a while.

Great old farm location overlooking Kennebac Bay that is being developed into something amazing. Entrance off of main road is gravel with numerous potholes. Excellent service & atmosphere. Sourdough French toast was good; eggs & bacon average; and latte good. Overall food was average for this visit.

Wow, what a delightful surprise. The eggs Benedict was maybe the best I’ve had. The eggs were perfectly jammy.

Waitress was very slow and not knowledgeable.

Awesome little cafe off the beaten path but worth the trip!! It was super busy (but I definitely understand why) so I would suggest making reservations especially during the weekend. Also has a super cute little mercantile store next door you can browse. Can’t wait to go back on Saturday night to try the prime rib!!

Google said it was closed. We went any ways. Glad we did! Yes, it is open on Wednesday! The Blueberry breakfast pizza was amazing! The Breakfast burrito with sausage... yummy! Service by Kelsey was outstanding. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the YoHo creek and fields on a beautiful sunny September morning. Well worth the visit.

Drove a bit out of my way to try this place. It’s apart of the property that also has a growing market. Farm to table feel to it. Staff was very friendly and flexible as I showed up at the last second. Food was delicious! Definitely recommend if you are needing more substantial food and coffee flavors. Good vibes in general.

Great breakfast! We had the Farmer's breakfast. Eggs were farm fresh. The bread was fresh and taters were delicious 😋 The views were an added bonus. They opened at 8am which was convenient, other restaurants in the area didn't open until much later.

Food was amazing, cold brew nitro Chai as well. Nice deck, cool place to eat at on a sunny morning. We'll have to come back for the hot coffee when they are able to serve it.

Our family of 6 went here this morning for breakfast. Awesome location ! Excellent waitresses ! Best breakfast we ever had. Although we were disappointed the coffee machine wasn’t working. We will definitely be back. The manager came out and apologized for it being broken. That shows real class. I highly recommend this place it’s 5 star dining at its best ! We had the breakfast pizza and it was excellent !

we came here because it was the only restaurant that was open for breakfast at 7am lol. on the way in, we saw a hawk watching over her nest, flying from tree to tree. we sat outside on the deck and the view was fantastic. the staff was very polite and had wonderful service. they also did not check in consistently which left us to enjoy our company, meal and nearby scenery. From menu to table was fast and so very delicious. we wish we could've stayed longer. if your in town, please stop by and give these guys a visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner. or maybe all three. thank you for having us.

Oops! I told Google Maps that there was no business at that address! We did find it! It's not well marked! We thought the sign was just for a farm - not a restaurant. The street numbers were not visible and sign hard to read. The service, food and setting are lovely! In the future we will trust Google maps! We thought we were on a wild goose chase out in the country!

This out-of-the-way destination has got it ALL going on: the best servers, top-notch food, delicious drinks, and a view you won't believe. I love how they also have craft fairs, community dinners, and other fun events.

A foodie oasis in this area. They even make their owns jams and focaccia! An amazing spot to stop when visiting the cutler coast! Thank you!!

Had farmers breakfast - eggs done perfectly and ham was delicious and thick - generous proportions and presentation like a five star restaurant / attentive staff - can’t wait to try lunch and dinner. A real gem for Washington county!

The service is a 5 star and the food is a 5 star. The meal presentation was that of a fine dining restaurant and the portion size was generous. Our meal was a breakfast burrito and the farmer’s platter and it was superb! You will not be disappointed.

This might be the greatest coffee shop I’ve ever been to. The food is beautiful and delicious, it’s out of the way in a low key place. Circuit to circuit, that place is a knockout.
