We could not have dreamed of a better catering experience for our wedding weekend! Ron and his staff not only catered our wedding but our rehearsal dinner as well! For the rehearsal we had a fish fry and people are still talking about how fresh and perfectly breaded the fish was! It was the perfect Florida fish fry! For our wedding day he really out did himself! The cocktail hour included charcuterie, fresh blackened cilantro fish cups over a bed of tropical rice and avocado, and sesame ahi tuna wonton nachos! Followed up by island salad, juicy prime rib, a honey pineapple ham, roasted veggies, and pasta! Don’t let me forget the delicious cannolis! Every piece of food was down right delightful and the presentation was beautiful! The service was top notch and the entire operation is 10 out of 10! I could not recommend them enough! Chef Ron and Bernwood Catering prepared and presented beautifully, all the food for my Wedding in April 2024. Everyone genuinely raved about the perfectly cooked tenderloin, stuffed grouper and vegetables; some people even had seconds! Before The Day, I was overthinking every detail. But I really did not have to worry about a single thing! The service from Chef Ron's team was seamless, relaxed and friendly. From the hors d'oeuvres to the salad course to the desserts, the delicious food appeared and was cleared as if by magic. I can't thank Ron enough for his endless patience and excellent suggestions throughout this process.

Chef Ron was wonderful to work with. We even had to change the dates once! We had wonderful appetizers, homemade chips, followed by a great meal! The beef tenderloin melted in your mouth and chicken was so tender and delicious. The fresh parker house rolls were heavenly! The presentation was also very good. This is the 2nd time I’ve used Bernwood Catering and they have been phenomenal! Delicious food, beautifully displayed and a very professional staff that is a delight to work with! HIGHLY recommend them!

We were initially excited to have Ron cater our son and daughter in-law’s wedding. They booked him months in advance. But the closer it got, the more stressful it became to work with him. They needed a coordinator to make sure the day went smoothly. All the other vendors enjoyed working with her and complimented her organization. Ron refused to talk with her and hung up on her multiple times. Yet she had all the details he needed from the HOA rules, etc. This led to the night before the wedding Ron yelling at the bride on the phone (we heard it all and were shocked). He even said to her “you picked quite the venue!” This venue was chosen 13 months prior, right after Hurricane Ian, when there weren’t a lot of choices, but it was a lovely venue. It was so inappropriate to make a bride cry on the phone the night before her wedding. Unprofessional! He truly owes her an apology!! The day of the wedding the food tasted good. The staff and service left a lot to be desired. One of the ladies on staff directed us, the parents of the groom, to the salad and appetizer table, but it was actually the children’s food table. Mind you, it wasn’t even her job to do that, that was the DJs job. She had already called other tables to do so sending them the other direction to the correct table, like friends tables, so we were far back in the line by then. It was so annoying. Just unacceptable service. I wondered if she had ever served at a wedding before to know proper protocol. The bartenders didn’t know how to pour drinks. Also, they were so strong that we had dozens complaining how strong they were (an unusual complaint). The bartenders were wearing shorts for a fairly formal indoor reception. Then at the food line, other staff couldn’t tell us which way the line began. Poor communication all around. In my opinion Ron may work best when he doesn’t need to coordinate with other vendors, as that was a disaster for our event. He seems to have a lot of experience, but he couldn’t handle the exceptions at this venue with about 100 guests without making quite a problem the day before the wedding. So as a result, we can’t recommend Bernwood catering for weddings of 100 or more. I wouldn’t wish what he did to my daughter-in-law on any bride. And she is simply the sweetest girl.

Brentwood Catering did a fabulous job on our wedding luncheon!!! We were looking for a tropical meal and that is what we got. Really enjoyed the shrimp skewers and jerk chicken. The cake was out of this world!!!!! The service was superb? I would use Brentwood Catering again.

Ron, helped me plan my wife's 60th birthday party for 40 people. The service, and quality of food was excellent. People raved over the quality of the food and especially loved the lollipop lamb chops and sirloin sliders were out of this world. He and his staff set up our banquet hall beautifully and efficiently to showcase all the delicious appetizers and buffet dinner. He was very responsive to all our requests. The Bernwood team (Ron and Team) did an excellent job catering a “clambake” for a gathering in Florida (28 of us). We had the most amazing meal provided by Bernwood! I had 10 family members to dinner and was in a total panic about what to make. It was Bernwood to the rescue! A few guests said it was like a buffet on a luxury cruise ship. In addition to the buffet foods, Chef Ron’s staff also roamed and served select menu items — an added personal touch. Guests commented on how good the food was. The setting was somewhat difficult for a caterer, but Ron worked it out, including some last-minute obstacles. He was very good at being flexible and accommodating last-minute revisions. This event was a funeral reception, so planning was last-minute. I was immensely pleased that Bernwood Catering was available."

We recently had a special event in our home in Pelican Landing and were more than happy with the professionalism and detailed planning together with the cooperation we found with Bernwood Catering. Fifty-five people were treated to an awesome menu and a superb presentation of a couple of perfectly cooked standing Rib Roasts. Not one complaint about the choice of menu or the service was had all night and throughout the following days. Instead, we had many complements on the food and the service. We are thankful to Executive Chef Ron Casterline who made this 80th Birthday Celebration one to remember.

A 10year anniversary that was very special to us, and oh boy did they come through We chose a barbecue theme, and everything from the ribs, the bratwurst, the vegetables, and the corn on the cob…. Just to name a few. The real winner that day was the BBQ chicken, and a close 2nd was the service/presentation. The pricing was on the lower end of what we expected, and the quality was definitely on the higher end. My search and rescue task force was deployed to Fort Myers beach for search and rescue operations post hurricane Ian. We were a group of 90 responders who needed meals daily. Chef Ron and his team were up for the challenge. His meals were delicious which caused us to feed other Task-forces working the island. He prepared over 350 meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner and never missed a beat. His care for quality was unmatched and we were glad to have had him providing us the nutrition we needed to fulfill our mission. I was in need of a catering company for my boyfriend's surprise 50th Birthday party. My boyfriend is also an Executive Chef so I was feeling a lot of pressure to make sure the food was amazing. I started browsing the internet for different companies in the area and came across Bernwood Catering's website. What drew my attention was that I could submit a quote online. I didn't really know what I wanted or needed and the thought of calling around to different places seemed dreadful. I submitted my quote and received a call back from Chef Ron right away. I told him my budget and the amount of people I needed to feed. We went with the Italian menu since my boyfriend is Italian and it seemed like the right choice. I trusted Chef Ron to pick the food items for me because he was catering for another chef and felt he would know just what would be a hit. The day before the party I didn't know if I would have time to pick up the food and was completely stressed out. Chef Ron said he would bring the food to me and help set up. This took a huge load off of my plate. Now let's get to the food! The food was absolutely amazing and delicious! Chef Ron even threw in a few extra apps and deserts without throwing me over budget. Everything was amazing and very affordable. I don't have one complaint. My boyfriend was super impressed and guests have been texting me for the last week to tell me how great the food was. Thank you Chef Ron for making my party a hit, taking so much stress off my plate, and for earning me extra girlfriend points for not disappointing my chef!! Chef Ron picked up a panic catering request from me. I was late to the game for a heavy app birthday dinner that I decided I needed help on. The term “hustle” would be accurate. He picked up my request, contacted me fast and talked to me until we figured out what would work. We decided on heavy apps and ordered the following: Coconut shrimp Tenderloin sliders Bacon wrapped scallops Italian Meatballs Chicken skewers with peanut sauce Tuna poke wonton nachos Chips and salsa Everything was amazing. People at the party have since contacted me to tell them who catered. Chef was on time, helped me with set up and my party was a success. Thank you, Chef Ron. I will be calling you again!

Ron did an amazing job catering our family birthday party. We were blown away at the flavors and presentation of the food. We enjoyed grouper, jerk chicken, shrimp, and so many appetizers and sides. All of the food was plentiful and delicious. Ron was flexible and helpful as we decided what food to order and even arranged an amazing cake. I would highly recommend Bernwood Catering, and we are already thinking of the next time we can use them.

Chef Ron did amazing catering in my house. Food was just as we expected delicious and very tasty. From appetizers to buffet style dinner was great, service was outstanding going with appetizers around people make sure nobody miss anything. They did great job cleaning the kitchen after party was done and everybody left home. My guests where amazing with overall food and service. I will definitely recommend Bernwood catering to anyone who wants to have perfect party. Thank you chef Ron for making our guests overwhelmed and happy. We will see you again hopefully by end of the year for grand opening of our new condo at Kalea Bay.

My original caterer in Sanibel canceled my wedding dinner 48 hours before the event. Fortunately, I caught Chef Ron with an open date, and he was able to step in. He set up a beautiful island themed display of about 10 delicious appetizers at my condo. everything was great, but the sirloin tender, ahi tuna skewers, shrimp cocktail, artesian chips and salsa were standouts. When I am in the area and need a dependable caterer, I most definitely will revisit Chef Ron.

Bernwood was amazing!! I have used them for several parties and with great success. The steak and chicken fajitas were delicious !! I hadseveral guests ask for his contact info and will also be using him for upcoming parties.
