Overall nice restaurant. Friendly staff and fresh, tasty food.

We tried their lunch specials—carne en salsa and arroz con pollo (vegetarian). The shredded meat was a bit bland; perhaps I anticipated more spiciness. Overall, the dishes were fair, and the portion sizes were adequate. The service and ambiance were good.

The decor is very nice and the service was great but the food was on a whole different level. I cannot emphasize enough how bland and tasteless this food was. Seasoning and flavor were just not wxistent. I tried to addlime and salt and other stuff but it just wasnt working. Maybe the locals here areused to it and enjoy it but being a cuban from miami and eating flaverful food al lthe time, this is just no comparison and doesnt ac urately represent latin or cuban food in any way. Parking is not too bad. But im sure it gets difficult on a busy night.

Great little place for a delightful Spanish meal. I had the Chifrijo appetizer as my main course. The rice, black beans, chimichurri with shredded chicken and sliced avocado on top, was delicious! The empanadas were great, we got to try beef, chicken and cheese. My husband had the arroz con pollo and it was very good. Our favorite part of the meal were the amazing churros!!! I would love to go back tomorrow morning just to have them with coffee.

It's not so great, with a limited menu, not so authentic Costa Rican food. They need to improve in quality wine and service. Tilapia ceviche is NOT a good option. They have the potential, but good quality food willalways be the key to success.

Excellent service and spectacular food

This is an agave straw. A well dressed table of Spanish speaking business sat next to me. Dishes are made from all fresh ingedients. Lapas Costa Rican Bistro serves fountain Diet Coke

This place is Amazing, I came here to fix the air conditioner and little did I know I stumbled a hidden GEM In SW Florida. This place has been open for almost 10 years. The kitchen is the cleanest kitchen I have seen, chef , staff and owner are super nice and pros at their jobs . Highly recommend this place 👍👍

Yuca with spicy avocado sauce? Yum! Our entree (rice with pork, ham and chicken) with sweet plantain was delicious, too. Service was great and atmosphere laid back and friendly. Highly recommend!

Deseaba un cantones pero no se acerca al cantones tico. Necesitan hacerle unos arreglitos. La olla carne, chifrijo y tres leches estaban esquisitos!! Gracias x traer un pedacito de la tierra a la Florida

Wonderful food 😋. Loved every bite. Vegan, vegetarian and meat options. Patacones were fabulous and the guacamole was great. Highly recommend.

If you're visiting Southwest Florida, it should be mandatory to go here. The food is absolutely delicious, and the fresh juices are not to miss. Every dish is perfect, but I have to recommend the chfrijo with pork 😙🤌

This place was so delicious. Everyone there was so nice and you really feel like it's authentic. The people there are so proud of the culture and it's so nice to see. On top of that the food was amazing. We had the veggie nachos as an appetizer. Highly recommend. Good even spread so every bite was good. Passion fruit juice will not disappoint. You'll be mad you didn't get it. Food here is the chicken soup and the shrimp rice with sweet plantains.

Loved this place! Loved the decor and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We had ceviche, tostones, and VEGAN nachos to start! Our son has many allergies and that was a great treat. He loved all his food as did we! We will be back!

This restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere and good food. I had the arroz con camarones (rice & shrimp) platter and it was very tasty. The sangria is not the best but it was enjoyable and I would order it again. My husband had a beef steak platter and that was also good. The waitstaff is very friendly and overall the service was great.

Went here for lunch one day. Not exactly sure what i ordered since i looked at a picture on the menu, but the shredded chicken rice dish was very good. And the lil hot sauce they gave me was soo good. Def not for the ones who cant handle spice.

Wonderful authentic experience. We dined at Lapas last night for the first time and loved it. For an app, we got the guac and chips. It’s a slight variation from what you’d get at a typical Mexican restaurant and we loved it. For dinner we got the Skirt Steak Casado and Shrimp and Avocado Salad. They were both really good. The tostones were cooked perfectly We got there early and they weren’t busy, but people started coming in when we were leaving. I’m always afraid to try the wine when they only have the house brand, but am happy to say the Pinot Noir is good. The staff was pleasant and attentive and the prices were very reasonable. On the way out the door, we saw that they also sell Costa Rican coffee. We bought some and are looking forward to trying it soon. I highly recommend Lapas and will be going back there often.

We had an early dinner at Lapa’s as a family. We were all very pleased with everything. The food was absolutely delicious, and healthy. All dishes (we had shrimp, chicken and beef) had a very fine taste. They are also vegetarian-friendly. Our host was very kind, as well. Recommended strongly if you are in the area.

Nice vegan and vegetarian options. They have a separate vegan menu but you have to ask for it. My son and I are vegan and we love to come here because there are options for the whole family.

This place is awesome!! I am vegan and my boyfriend is vegetarian and they had plenty of options for our dietary needs. They even have a vegetarian menu. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! And so was the homemade green salsa!!! Everyone was so friendly from our host, waitress & food server. I will definitely be back again when I am in the area!!

My girlfriend and I happened to stubble upon this place. So I googled them and saw they had amazing reviews. We had lunch and let me say everything we ordered was amazing!!! The food quality was on point 💯!!!! I ordered the Carne en Salsa and the beef was so tender, juicy, and delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Tácitos Ticos and she loved every bite of it. Def order the Costa Rica Coffee if you love coffee. This will be our go to spot for sure now that we are new to the area.

Wow furiously underated eating establishment I am raving about their food. The Puerto Viejo featuring the catch of the day with their signature sweet and spicy mango sauce .. so light so delectable. I stayed at the Hyatt Resort nearby and one of the front desk associates recommended Lapa's and they certainly did not disappoint. This is seriously good food prepared with passion & love in La Cucina. The chef is available to talk to which is an added bonus .

Such an amazing and authentic restaurant. My husband is Costa Rican and we have been looking for a Costa Rican restaurant in Florida for a long time. We moved to Naples and could not believe there was one here. I think this is the only Costa Rican restaurant in Florida and I have to say it is the best! The food is great, the staff is super. I give Lapas a 5/5 and definitely will keep supporting this local business.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Ociel & Staff are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat.

This place is amazing and reminds me of the places I went to in Costa Rica. The empanadas and dishes both were delicious. Carne en Salsa was the best my bf got that. Ate the empanadas before we could snap a pic lol. Friendly staff and great portions. Will be back for sure!

Having lived in Costa Rica, I was very excited to have stumbled upon this place. Great service and the food was EXCELLENT! I ordered the Carne en Salsa with Patacones and gallo pinto! Excellent flavor. Food was hot and well seasoned! Gallo pinto was some of the best gallo pinto I've ever had! Patacones cooked perfectly. Nice crunch on the outside, soft on the inside and sprinkle of salt on top 🤤. The Carne en Salsa was absolutely delicious. Moist, perfectly seasoned, swimming in a delicious gravy. Was really impressed. I already can't wait to go back honestly! Go support them. One of better restaurants in the area for sure!
