What a great lunch spot, amazing food, great atmosphere, friendly stuff. I had a loaded baked potato with brisket added corn and beans to it, the mac and cheese, turkey and sausage were so fresh and the brisket so moist! Sadly didn’t have the room for desert… we will be back! Thank you very much!

First of allll be careful when entering this parking lot you will loose a front end or a back end!! CAN WE FIX THE HUGE WHOLE before someone loses a tire!! I could’ve went my whole life without this meal! I’m sorry but this isn’t it. I ate it cause I spent $22 bucks! BBQ SAUCE IS NOT GOOD AT ALL! Taste like someone pour hot sauce with ketchup and called it bbq sauce! Meat is bland and has no flavor at allllll!! Nice texture just plain no flavor! OMG this potato 🥔 salad 🥗 was HORRIBLE!! I know it has to be store bought because there’s no way anyone is making this! No way! The baked beans taste like someone poured them out the can and added meat and a small amount of bbq sauce! Like my expectations were so high! Im seeing this 4.5 star 🌟 place and I had to try it! Im def Not happy!! Im watching a man in front of me pour a pound a salt on his food! NO FLAVOR at allll!!! Then $22, when the portions are a $12.99 plate like seriously! I’ll never return for no reason! Over priced for no reason! I’m honestly leaving hungry as you see they should just do a single bun sandwhich cause it’s just bread with limited meat. A spoon full of baked beans. HORRIBLE. A lady lied in the owners face and said this is the best bbq she’s had, you must haven’t been anywhere. But I watched her eat and complain to her bf the whole time I sit in the back on purpose to see the atmosphere. Then she tells me after I ordered like us on IG & u can get 5% off, what’s 5%! I’m not liking you guys because this food is seriously horrible! What’s crazy is it’s a 4 star 💫 place. Someone is lying! 🤥 Seriously. And what is this BBQ SAUCE SERIOUSLY! Plz go buy some head and country and season the bbq 🍗

First time visiting Big Bertha’s BBQ. Turkey and sides were excellent, my only minor critique is, the meat portions could be a bit larger. Definitely will return. Employees were very friendly.

Great bbq and worth the drive for us! We found this place about a year ago and returned to the area and had to make a stop! The bbq and sides are delicious. I love their smoked cabbage! The brisket, ribs, and chicken are all cooked to perfection. The owners are extremely nice and the atmosphere is great.

Smokey Brisket and Turkey. Sausage and Pulled pork are solid as well. Baked beans are stupid good. Seriously, stupid good. Smoked mac and cheese is another solid side dish. Hand cut French fries are the bomb dot com... Great lunch spot.

Ordered Big Bertha's Potato with chopped brisket, received a potato with no chopped brisket also ask for two yellow BBQ sauce, received the normal, one red and one yellow. This is the first time I did not receive the brisket on my potato, but I can never get two yellow sauce. On May 14th 2024 I decided to give Big Bertha a second chance..... I ordered online via the Clover app that Big Bertha provides. When I arrived to receive my order, Big Bertha's power was out (Not Big Bertha's fault). I could not receive order, due to the power outage, not a big deal. I emailed Big Bertha to let them I could not receive my order due to power outage and I would like a refund. I received one response from Big Bertha's that they would look into in the morning. The next day I response to email with a thank you and screen shots of my order. Well it is now a week later and no refund. A storm did roll in on Thursday night that knocked out power until Sunday, but that is no excuse. What's the saying; Something once shame on you, something twice shame on me... Best of luck to y'all I won't be coming back.

The brisket was very very good!!! Also enjoyed the corn side dish !! My mom enjoyed the ribs too. I also like the way restaurant looks on outside and inside it feels like we made a pitstop on a road trip passing thru small country towns I like that feeling!

Super mid , high price for a small serving . Saucy Mac and cheese, Not baked . Cold slice of bread . Not worth the money in my humble opinion .

Just finished my brisket melt — grilled cheese with the most moist and excellent brisket I’ve ever tasted. Not typically a fan of BBq but definitely a fan of Big Bertha

Everything you want in a BBQ spot. I got all sides and my favorite was the Mac n cheese! Friends who had the meat said it was great as well! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Near best brisket I've eaten. Very tender and taste great. Beans were a little sweet but still good. I would eat there every week if I did not live 180 miles away. Definitely in my top 5 bbq places.

Literally the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Abel and team knock it out of the park everyday. Very glad I work so close to this spot!! A true “Must Have” if you’re a BBQ fan. There’s not a bad item on the whole menu. Amazing food and great people!

This place is pretty much everything you want in a BBQ joint. Everything was great and the employees were very friendly. Even the other customers were friendly. Hope they keep up what they're doing right. Will be bringing the rest of the family here on our next trip to Houston.

Went in with work colleagues, a group of about 15 people. They quickly served everyone, gifted a dessert for one's birthday, and even gifted another desert for another one that waited a bit longer than usual. The food was fantastic, great place.

Awesome bbq spot, i highly recommend the sampler plate.

If you like your brisket tender and smokey like I do, then you won't be disappointed. Definitely worth the stone's throw from your 290 travels over some joints that are sitting on 290. The meat stands on its own, and does not need sauce, but the two sauces are both worth a try anyway. There is one more tomatoey and one more vinegary. Neither are boring, yet don't detract from the meat either. I tend to like vinegary, but the tomatoey one I think edged it out. The potato salad is airy, not chunky as you might have come to expect. The fried okra was great, but the only disappointment is no Big Red?! I, like many, have become accustomed to BR with my BBQ (quick online search agrees). I should dock a star for that miss, but I'll assume the owners aren't aware and will rectify this situation. Until then, bring your own Big Red, or, BYOBR! Otherwise, 5 stars, and hope to return soon!

The food is super delicious, but no matter what time i call in ahead for my food, they always tell me something and make me wait my whole lunch time for my food. Makes me wanna not come here anymore :(

This place is an unexpected gem. As a former BBQ cook, I can say with confidence that this place is (way) above average. Plus, they sell amazing beef ribs - which are pretty hard to find. Staff is very kind and helpful too.

Well the food was ok, prices were to high for the amount of food I got...2 small ribs, 4 thin slices of brisket and 2 small sides. $19. Now the service was outstanding! Vivianna was really helpful ( being that it was my first time there ) Her smile just made the whole transaction a pleasure.

Family owned and operated, they have what other franchise bbq restaurants wish they had. Tender and flavorful meats, uniquely tasting sauces, homemade tasteful sides, great portions, and reasonable prices. They seem to cater more towards the lunch rush, so pay attention to their hours of operation. A must go to for locals who crave bbq from time to time.

Beef rib was awesome! Love this local place. The owner and his wife are kind down to earth folks that truly understand the technique of cooking real bbq. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you happen to be looking for the best BBQ on earth (in my opinion) Look no further! This place is amazing. They have "Well-Water" for the love of God! The food and service were both great! We sat outside for lunch that day and the owner came out to ask how everything was, I thought that was nice, you don't get that in most places... The smoked Mack and cheese is the best! Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

FOOD - the brisket is great, well seasoned and tender. The mac n cheese is super creamy, great Smokey flavor. The green beans are great. I love how they aren’t smothered, they are tender but crisp and they’re mixed with carrot and onion 💕 SERVICE - Adriana is awesome 🥰 quick, fast, and friendly! The owner came to serve our food and very attentive. I love how hands on he is with his business. ATMOSPHERE - impeccably clean and organized. I will be coming back for sure. We found a hidden gem today!! Hands down the best barbecue we had in awhile. We road pass this place for 5 years thinking it was closed. To our surprise they been there for the past four years keeping all that good barbecue from us. No more!!

I took a friend from Indiana who had never tried BBQ to test out this new place with me. We had a lovey discussion with the owners and pit master. They had great recommendations and we learned about their story in BBQ. A couple weeks later, my parents went back to order some food for a party and again had a great experience. Lovely people and delicious food! This place is a hidden treasure and I am delighted to stumble upon it.

Great food and great music. We got a little bit of everything, the big bertha potato fully loaded a 3 meat plate with the smoked cabbage and baked beans as well as the pulled pork tacos. All of it was amazing will be telling all the family and friends.

The food was great, we drove from Arkansas and came across the restaurant. I ordered the big Bertha and a side of street corn and it was very tasty and fulfilling. The owner came out and greeted us as well.

Stopped in here on a whim for lunch! The staff was super friendly and food was delicious. Overall, we liked the brisket the best. My husband chose moist cut with fat for better flavor and it did not disappoint. Our second favorite was the baked beans! Give this place a try. We will be back. :)

Love this place. Food is great and so is the customer service. The 3 biggest things I look for are great customer service, cleanliness and taste in my food. This place has all 3. The owner is such a great guy and is always making sure you are taken care of. The wait for the food was not long and the meat just melts in your mouth. They have the flavor down. Great side choices.

I am so happy that my wife and I decided to try out Big Bertha's BBQ today. The food was delicious and the prices were great. We had brisket, ribs, sausage, beef rib, pork tacos, mac & cheese, coleslaw, street corn, fries, and beans. The brisket was very moist and smokey. The ribs were tender, glazed and sweet. The homemade sausage was nice and meaty. The beef rib was tender, smokey, and moist. The sides were delicious..... Especially the beans. The service was great, extremely friendly. The best part about our entire experience today was the owner Abel. He came out and introduced himself to my wife and I. We chatted for a few minutes and he made sure that we were all taken care of. I will definitely be returning with my entire family next time.

The food was oh sooooo delicious!! Highly recommend the smoke Mac and Cheese, wife loved the street corn. The 3 meat plate was filling for 2 people. If they had some small TVs inside and out it'd be perfect, Astros and BBQ.

Had the moist sliced brisket sandwich for lunch. Was very good, the most cut was just right. Finished it with the banana pudding, another good choice.

Spot used to be good years ago but something has changed and it's not as good. This visit I had 1/2 lb brisket for $13.20 and they also charge $0.25 for a water cup.

I had ordered takeout two basket sandwiches, I had asked if I can substitute the fries for something else. I had explained to the lady that every time we get fries they taste bad. She asked they said no. So anyway we get our food paid almost $40 which seems kinda high for two meals. Brisket was cold with a lot of fat. And fries tasted terrible like always, cold seems like they were a day old. Did not taste fresh. I’ve been there around 5 times down the street from my job. All my coworkers have mentioned the same thing.

I showed up with a party of 11 and the team did a great job preparing a large order in a quick amount of time. The Brisket was my favorite part since I've had a lot of mediocre bbq in Houston. It was so good. Word to the wise, brisket is not meant to be eaten "lean", do yourself a favor and never order lean brisket anywhere. The ribs were so delicious too, a little on the sweeter side (and I have a sweet tooth) but they were still so good. The beans were delicious although also a little sweet. The macaroni was my least favorite item and it wasn't bad, just not for me. The pulled pork was a favorite among my kids as well as the sausage. The sausage was a little dry but it was still really good. My kids all enjoyed their sandwiches but would have preferred hamburger buns, I for one prefer toast just like I was served. We got a couple of baked potatoes and I would have like to see a ton of butter and a lot of cheese and sour cream on them but I didn't actually have the potatoes since I was busy enjoying all the meat offerings. Pickles, onions, jalapenos and beverages all from the bar so you can grab as much or as little as you want. Drinks are only 2.50 which is MUCH cheaper than most places for unlimited drinks (including sweet and unsweetened tea), especially when footing the bill for 11 people. The staff was super friendly and accommodated our every request. To top it all off they offer a discount to AD military (maybe retired too? I didn't ask) so that was a plus! Overall, great restaurant with friendly staff and the food was great.

I would have raised higher but I got the Big Bertha baked potato. It did not seem to have any butter or sour cream on it and I requested extra sour cream. Other than that it is a very good baked potato in the brisket is a damn good

Had Big Bertha’s cater our boys big birthday party! When I tell you the food was a hit I’m not lyin! At the end of the night the only thing left over was a small handful of brisket that I was able to hide and save for myself 🤣 All the side were scraped clean from the pans! Stellar customer service and such amazing people!

Food was only ok. Expensive, given small 1/2 slab of ribs, and just not meaty. Come with too much bbq sauce. It should be optional. Sides ok, but expensive. Street corn nothing special.

Family Owned Top Tier BBQ Restaurant, which is a one of a kind!! First time trying this BBQ Rest. and it was a memorable one!! I had the Pleasure and Honor of meeting Alisha (1 of Owners Daughter's) and Sylvia (her Aunt) that provided a very welcoming atmosphere, friendly conversation and amazing customer service!! When it comes to making a customer feel right at home and comfortable, this BBQ restaurant sets the standard! The Brisket, Ribs, and Smoked Mac & Cheese were Phenomenal filled with flavor and  cooked to Perfection!! This will definitely be a regular stop for BBQ and Amazing Service! Came from out of town to pick up my friends new vehicle, decided to get some barbecue. This place was awesome! The meats were cooked perfectly, tasty brisket and moist Turkey. They're beans and sauces made it perfect. They were really friendly, service was great. Will definitely stop by when I'm back in town.

Amazing customer service, food and atmosphere!

Amazing moist brisket, nothing more than that and bread to make it amazing. The sides were delicious, street corn and smoked Mac n cheese (a little salty, but not good flavor).

I really enjoyed my lunch here and they are open on Monday. Ribs were good and tender. Almost fall off the bone. Moist brisket had good smokey flavor was just a bit chewy, I'll be back for sure, really wanted to try the sausage they were just sold out.

BBQ was very good, but the potato salad and French fries were shockingly good. I expected plain Jane fries and potato salad but they were Different than expected and I really liked them. Edit... I finally made it here last Saturday (they are open on the 1st Saturday of the month) to try the beef rib dinner, it was a huge rib with 2 sides, VERY tender, tasty meat. Well worth it.

We ordered BBQ for 80 for our office Xmas party. The food was ready to pick up right on time. We had brisket, pulled pork, sausage, beans, Mac n Cheese and potato salad. Lots of people at the party commented on how great the food was. The brisket was a favorite of course. I thought the pulled pork was excellent.

I picked Big Bertha purely based on the name, however, the ribs were the best I've had, the brisket was the most moist anywhere. The owner came out and introduced himself, incredible humble considering how good his food is. Was the best food I've had in Houston!

Good BBQ, counter service is excellent, and most importantly the food is delicious. I ordered a catering order for the office and all the brisket and ribs disappeared. Eating at the restaurant there's outside and inside seating.

The BEST brisket in Houston, family owned, we got to meet the owner and he was so nice, the brisket was super tasty, we got 1/2 pound of Moist Brisket and their Lunch Special Brisket Sandwich with Jalapeño Bread (which we forgot to take a picture of) everything was awesome from the food to the service definitely our Brisket Spot from now on.

As a pilot I get to travel all over and I eat bbq in most cities I go to. Big Berthas was one of the best I’ve been to in awhile. The brisket was fantastic and the sides are exactly what I like for tx bbq. Will come back!

Amazing, down home food! The brisket, pulled pork, smoked mac n cheese, potato salad, loaded potatoes, baked beans. All of it! It’s so good! The owner and the staff are so kind and friendly too. Highly recommend their patio but the inside is super cute and homey. Very clean and well taken care of. It’s actually way bigger than what pictures make it seem. Overall top quality bbq and people!

Came here for lunch and will definitely come back. Had the three meat plate. My favorite was the sausage which is made in house. The smoked Mac n cheese and smoked cabbage were delicious.

I want to start with the obvious lol I had already began eating (and divid up my 3 meat plate) before taking the picture. The plate was generously portioned and tasted oh so good… but the brisket 😩 the BRISKET was so good and moist! I’ve had nothing like it!!! Their customer service from the sweet ladies at the front to the owner making his rounds to check on everyone was great. They have two new customers, stop by and check them out!

This place is legit!! A must try!! The meat is so moist and so tasty no sauce needed!! Pulled pork, brisket & Mac n cheese were the main dishes we git today. We'll be back!!

Great great barbecue, I felt the brisket was too moist after requesting lean, they didn’t hesitate cut me plenty of lean and just put it right on top of the moist. Thanks for taking care of me guys! Two amazing sauces are included with the order.
