Great food, wonderful surroundings

Ask Shelly for her special "Rum Yukka" and thank me later (and Shelly). Outdoor space is inviting. Games and shade and a water station. I got the Hawaiian Burger with Chicken and it was phenomenal. Such a great gem of a place.

Great place, the guy up front was awesome. Stopped on my way back home for a takeaway and it was Taco sunday. I got three tacos thinking they would be like street tacos, but when I got to the truck and opened up the takeout box they were like three small burritos. Really good, I ate one and had two for dinner later. I will definitely stop in there again coming home from the Sunday market. One of these days when I'm up in that direction and visiting not driving home from work I'll stop in there and check out the whole restaurant bar area, it looks really awesome.

One of my favorite places to visit, the food is always on point and the staff is fantastic. Always feels like visiting home when I walk in the door. Plus they've got some really fun events they put on throughout the year. Im always happy to support The Big O

As a native Oregonian I have driven by this place for years. Don’t let the number of cars fool you…plenty of space inside to sit and eat. Friendly folks, great ambiance, look for the Oregon Duck Rugby license plate when you’re there!

Love this place! I love the atmosphere, the people, and the food. My favorite is their white cheddar baked mac and cheese. Plus, their Bloody Mary's are the best around!

Best place for all your needs. The staff is great! Shelley is the absolute best 💕and you can't stay to eat, best deli sandwich on the coast.

Doing work in the area and had a local resident recommend. Pulling into parking lot, wasn't sure if in the correct location or not. Saloon enterance is left of store enterance. Neat utilization of logging rigging and tools as door handles. Very interesting mix of historical and modern decor from the arra. Food was unexpectedly good for a hole in the wall in the middle of the woods. Be patient as the staff runs the Saloon, store and kitchen, so they stay busy.

Great atmosphere the staff is super friendly. The food is great will definitely be going there again. It's off the beaten path but worth it.

Great food. During the winter, they have a smaller indoor seating, but in the summer they have a big patio and music and fun activities. Food was great. They do have specials. Awesome local restaurant.

This place is awesome! Very friendly service, the food is very good. Out of the way of the city traffic, very relaxing atomsphere. Highly recommended for the adult quiet time and just relax and have great dinner. They also have events so check their wedsite.

We have Elk hunted in this area for over 50 years. Yes we’re old. But this place has been a hot place for a roadside bar. We go there to watch the football games on the weekend. Staff is always there to help. Owners have put their heart and soul into this place. Great stop.

The trouble is that this place is extremely over-hyped! We had high hopes based on other Yelp reviews and a feature on Grant’s Getaways. The food was a huge letdown! Burgers are frozen pucks with zero flavor and not even seasoned to help make them more appetizing. Way too much sauce, another attempt to hide the poor quality beef patty, so extremely messy. Also, you can order an appetizer of fries for $8 but burgers don’t come with them. The burgers lacked any beefy flavor and I felt like I was eating cardboard. For the price, I expected a hand-pressed beef patty made with higher quality beef. $48 for 2 burgers, order of fries, 2 beers. A bit much. Also, ticket totaled $47 and we were charged $1 since we used a card with no verbal disclosure of this UNTIL after we paid. Sneaky. Would I return? Not likely. Was it worth the drive from Fort Stevens State Park? No. Would I recommend this place to someone else? Nope!

This was my first visit to the Olney Store since the bar was added in 2002. It's quirky, but in a charming way. The bar is tiny, and rustic.

The drive from Mist to Astoria is like driving a road full of visions of the all American life! Rolling hills and beautiful old homes and barns. Out nowhere there is cute lil store and bar. OH THIS IS A MUST STOP. Clean and cute with proud owners.

This is such a great stop. The staff is always friendly and prompt, the food is tasty, and the space is always cool and comfortable in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter. I love going for tacos on Sunday and really like the Mac and cheese.

Very warm and friendly place. A big drive from Seaside but not bad if you're out in Astoria. Great drinks, and food was typical for a bar, nothing out of the ordinary. There was a good amount of space out in the outdoor patio with a fireplace. The bar top itself is pretty small / intimate. Good stop!

Stopped here in Olney on a trip around Astoria. Great food and drinks. Busy during the Summer so make sure you get there well ahead of the lunch crowd who are typically motorcyclists on group rides. Great outdoor seating and the friendliest, hardest working staff anywhere. Highly recommended!

Cute place great service and food.

Finally we got to got to their Pig Fest, which is held September 17th every year. It was certainly worth going! The pork was great! But they need that bagged coleslaw! It was terrible. I'll look forward to going next year!

If I want piece and happiness and no bs this is where I will go 86 miles for a bloody Mary and a BLT. Some of the best decor and out side seating in the nw woods you can find. Good thing this place isn't easy to find because it's a gem. And we all can appreciate a gem when we find them. Enjoy my fellow travelers. My double bacon BLT samwich with a spirit of Mary's blood was what makes me a happy explore.

We just happened upon this place by taking a wrong turn on our way to Astoria. Had a fantastic snack and drinks. The staff was very gracious, friendly and helpful. Will make a point to go there again!

Had the best pulled pork enchiladas !

It was terrible! We ordered a roast beef sandwich to go and I requested a side of horseradish for an extra charge of $2. The sandwich alone was $15 if you wanted chips that were extra. The sandwich was dry even though we requested mayo and we DIDN'T get the horseradish we were charged for but didn't realize it until we were miles down the road. One sandwich and 2 sodas cost us $20 and change! We WONT be going there again! Oh and if you don't pay cash they charge you 4% more on your bill!!

Good burger and drinks and really appreciate the work the owners did with the outdoor space. I was surprised that the 12 to 14 dollar burgers did not include and side. Fries were an additional 3$😕 6 dollar beers were a bit much but understand the current situation.

We decided to take a different way home from Astoria. My hubby had been here before, I hadn’t. What a cool place! The outdoor seating is awesome. The whole place is pretty cool. I had Taco Sunday. Hubby had the cheeseburger. Only reason I gave it a 4, asked for no jalapeños in my tacos, but the cook thought I needed them anyway. We will return.

My husband and I took a drive to explore the area near Astoria and found the cute town of Olney, Oregon. We stopped to stretch our legs and had some delicious iced sweet tea. The patio was spacious, the waitress delightful, the surroundings were beautiful. It is a wonderful place to visit.

I wanted to see the owner becuz il use to work with her when she was the dairy queen but ofcourse she was not there, the bar is nice, not to big, outside dining, but they have to be one of the only bars that are not allowing the use of the lottery machines. Sucked

Great outdoor dining experience. Great rustic, fun, often humorous decor. Even on a cold day we were kept warm and dry by their thoughtful and asethtically pleasing comfort solutions.. Quick, efficient service. High quality ingredients used with just the right touch of flavor. Very generous portions ensure you get your money's worth. Plus, we had free entertainment as we could watch a deer calmly munching grass totally at ease with the attention she was receiving. All-in-all, I can't wait to go back the next time I head to the coast. Don't miss this fun dining experience.

Recently remodeled, this place offers a great outdoor seating area with heaters. Perfect for getting fresh food, hot out of the kitchen. Kind and quick to serve staff is always a pleasure.

This is a local gem hidden on the backroads on hwy 202. Owners are great people and the staff is always amazing. Be patient if they get busy as with the new covid restrictions they are required to follow it might slow down the service a tad but everyone is dealing with that these days. Be NICE to your servers and remember they are all dealing with this just like you
