This place is a hidden gem! They have an amazing selection of pastries, tarts, and breads. We went in the afternoon so they had a smaller selection, but we were still able to get a variety. I selected the cheese Danish and loved every bite. We will definitely be back when we come into town.

My daughter who never had liked sweets is absolutely in love with the cake from here. So while visiting her during my trip home from Florida I had to stop in with her. Even with the crowd the staff was freindly and was able to service people quickly. We sat out front but realized after there is a fresh garden out back with seating. Most importantly my coffee cake with FRESH Michigan blueberries Definitely didn't disappoint!

A Swedish bakery with a long history and recent new ownership. Everything here is absolutely wonderful. From homemade breakfast pastries, cupcakes, homemade bread selection, desserts, etc. If you want the best selection show up early, or secure your order the day before - then u can sleep in.

I love Bit of Swiss and haven't been there in 3 month since I was told I needed a gluten-free diet, but, on my birthday, I broke that in order to eat a cinnamon bun that was crisp on the outside and deliciously soft and chewy inside. Oh, bread! Oh, pastry and pies. I saw all of these delectables displayed so nicely. I had excellent service. I gave it three for the atmosphere only because there is no inside seating. There is a little out front, and you can walk to the back and sit near the Chef's Garden that is rich with herbs.

So my wife found Bit of Swiss online and said we have to go…dayum…glad we went. What a selection of decadent pastries and breads. Hard not to leave with 2 of everything. Can’t wait for our next visit. This place will be on our weekly schedule.

Great place to pop in and see what they have but they’ve also taken my order ahead of time and… didn’t make it? I’m not sure why they take orders if they only offer what is in stock that day!

Been traveling Michigan with my friend and we stop here every time! This cute lil place has such lovely treats and the bread looks amazing. The giant sugar cookies are themed and my kids love them.

This place is unbelievably good. Terrific breads, absolutely decadent pastries and desserts. Can't go there too often because I don't have the willpower necessary to not overdo it.

Love this place. Haven't had anything bad there. The cinnamon bread, the almond horn is the bomb. Chocolate croissants are always good. Just go you won't regret it.

I feel like I shouldn’t write this review. Just because I’m selfish and I want the store to myself. Hands down by far without a question best bakery in the country. It’s not even close. We drive 7 hours. Stay at a hotel. Wake up and come here followed by 7 hours home. Worth it everytime.

Super nice people. Stopped in yesterday. I bought a bunch of different bakery. And it all traveled very well in 4 hour drive to Wisconsin. I wish the had a shop in Columbus Ohio. Thank you so much for having the best bakery I’ve ever had.

I ordered a sheet farewell cake for 20, chocolate with their special frosting and different ways to say goodbye written on the top. It was beautiful, simply a picture AND more importantly it was delicious, mouth watering!!! All raved about, please note the “eaters” all were all experienced in fine food. The service was outstanding in every way possible. Thank you Bit of Swiss👏👏

I would absolutely recommend this bakery. Their cinnamon bread is delicious, I also bought a cheese croissant and the cruffin - I think it had chocolate and definitely had cream but it disappeared into my mouth so quickly that I can't be sure. lol

I appreciate the fact that this bakery uses traditional European bread recipes. Thus the breads are free of preservatives, additives, chemicals -- just old-fashioned, wholesome "real bread"! 👌

Consistently high quality pastries and baked goods. Generally good service too. The almond horns and bran muffins are our favorite treats.

My mom and dad got their wedding cake here 60 years ago. I was driving thru st. Joe and thought... Hmmm ,. I should get a cake for my mom as a special treat and memory . Ended up with a cake (Bavarian cream) and 6 other desserts that looked amazing. EVERYTHING was AMAZING!!! Can't wait to drive thru st. Joe again!! And the two ladies that helped us were very sweet and kind!

This is a wonderful bakery and quite a surprise to find tucked into a neighborhood setting and of the main drag. There are so many delights to choose between breads, pies, and other sweet things. Don't pass up this place.

You could gain weight just inhaling t h e fresh aromas here! Absolutely everything we have sampled from Bit of Swiss is top notch and delish! We are fortunate to have such a great, professional bakery in our region. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful, and yes, they will slice your loaves for you!

First time I have ever seen people lined up outside, waiting to get into a bakery. Every weekend, it's like this! We purchased some crescent breakfast rolls with Swiss cheese and ham inside and a birthday cake. Amazing crescents! They never even made it home... the chocolate eclair cake was for my fathers birthday. It's probably the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten! ...that's why we wait in line every weekend...well worth the wait!

My wife and I used Bit of Swiss for our wedding cake/dessert recently for our wedding at Blue Dress Barn. The cake and cupcakes were phenomenal. We highly recommend using them for your special day!

This is my favorite bakery. Their pastries are the best I've ever had. I could eat a raspberry rhapsody everyday for the rest of my life and still want more. I have no complaints about the food I've gotten there- everything is amazing! P. S. Please bring back those mango bombes!!

I'm a man that loves sweets, I was driving through MI for work seen the billboard, decided to make a detour. Thank God I did. I purchased an array of pastries. Must try the raspberry cream cheese tart or the key lime pie tart.

Oh so yummy treats! Busy place!

I recently had Bit of Swiss cakes for my wedding. After being a loyal customer for years and working at their farmers market for summers in high school, there was no where else I would have wanted my cakes from. The cakes were delicious and beautiful, and we got so many compliments from our guests. We over ordered but had no leftovers! However, our experience with ordering was frustrating. I called about 3 months before the wedding to place an order, and was told that it was too close to the wedding. After explaining that I wanted sheet cakes and one smaller cake, I was able to put down a deposit, but told there was no possibility of delivery. I was too late to do a tasting, so purchased cakes on my own from the bakery to try. When I called back to say what flavors I wanted, I was told that there wasn't an order placed yet and they again needed to confirm with the bakers that they could do it. My fiance then communicated with Bit of Swiss, and had to follow up several times to ensure that our order was right, after getting conflicting information from different staff. Bit of Swiss definitely has the best desserts in the area and I am glad that we were able to use them as our vendor, but I was disappointed with the operations and communication throughout the process.

They have the best pastries around. Service is outstanding. Prices were fair. Great place.

Bought a pink lemonade cake for a friends birthday. Holy cow was it outta this world!

The molasses ginger cookies are out of this world. I also had the chocolate mousse which was amazing. The staff are super friendly and patient!

The only thing I will miss when I leave this town next year is Bit of Swiss. This place is heaven on earth. Such beautiful aroma around the bakery and right when I enter here everything is so inviting, the people, the sweets everything! I love their cheese Danish most. Everything is 5/5 :-) keep it up guys !!!
