I'm genuinely sad about my recent experience ordering food for Thanksgiving. The ordering process was difficult. I was left on hold for more than 10 minutes twice before I could place my order. Then, I ended up being overcharged because all the sides were double ordered and had to be refunded. Most surprisingly, the food was mediocre at best. Dry turkey and cornbread and smashed potatoes that tasted chemically (for lack of a better word). The workers are very nice, but I don't plan to order from here again after being one of its biggest proponents over the last couple of years 😭

Black Fig catered my small wedding and I could not be happier with the experience! The food was amazing and they were able to cater to my dietary requirements, and even provided an alternative gluten-free dessert for me. We were blown away by how delicious our meal was and I felt that the price was very reasonable for what we received. I also had a full-service meal and Black Fig provided flowers for the table and china since the wedding was very small. I would 100% use Black Fig again for any catering needs, and I will be checking out the to-go meals they offer because they food was just top notch! I can’t imagine a better service in Tallahassee.

Mouth-watering menu. The chicken pot pie was absolutely scrumptious! I've never had mushroom pot pie, but I have to say, it's my new favorite. Very professional and always on time.

We often go there to pick up meals for an easy dinner. And we LOVE their pimento cheese. We've also used their catering-to-go services for parties and the food us always a hit.

We used Black Fig to cater our wedding and we were so happy with the result. Everyone we spoke to was extremely professional. Kayla especially made sure our day was perfect. The food was a big hit and we received several compliments on how amazing it was, even our more picky eaters loved it. The servers were very attentive and made sure everything went smooth and even the owner was there to help out and made sure we had everything we needed. If you ever want a unique catering experience, please consider Black Fig!

I had Black Fig cater my post-elopement wedding party and they were absolutely wonderful! The event was held at a private residence, and the staff did an amazing job of setting up in the home and working with the space provided to provide a fabulous meal. Additionally, throughout the planning process the team was SO communicative and worked with me on changes so that everything could be tailored to what I was looking for. My event had a lot of vegetarian and vegan guests, and Black Fig made sure that we had delicious and filling options available for each stage of the meal. They also let me provide my own ice cream from my favorite creamery for a sundae bar. Finally, both Chris (the catering director) and Mark (one of the owners) made a specific point to make sure I got some food during the party and that I was taken care of. Hosting a wedding is a ton of work, and the extra care they showed really helped. Every single thing we had, from the passed appetizers to the buffet stations was phenomenal - but I specifically recommend their fried oysters :)

First time trying their 'small plates'. Portion was smack on and the flavors were outstanding. You can tell the team takes pride in their work...it shows! Also, the person operating the register was great and guided me to the perfect meal. 10/10 will try again, except I'm going to snag a family portion instead of a single!

This review is long overdue. My husband and I got married in November of 2019. We are vegan and were having the hardest time finding someone who would cater a full vegan menu for our wedding. Black Fig went above and beyond to provide us with excellent service and create a menu that worked well with our style and dietary choices! I believe it was the first time they had done a fully vegan menu and they nailed it! We cannot thank them enough for the whole service that they provided from the consultation, to the communication, to the friendly staff and amazing food. If we ever have another big event in the future, Black Fig will definitely be getting our business again ❤️

Fantastic Choice!!! Everything was excellent with my order with Black Fig! The food was delicious, and the packaging worked out for the airplane. I am always nervous, using a new caterer, when ordering for our jet, especially one that isn’t familiar with private aviation catering. With the many limitations we have, still needing excellent quality, and punctual delivery, Black Fig surpassed my expectations. I was also very pleased with our open communication, it makes a huge difference! I will look forward to using their services the next time I need catering out of Tallahassee! Andrea B. When we don't have time to cook and we want great home cooked meals, this is the place to pick up excellent prepared food.

Absolutely Perfect! And the Toffee bars? Oh dear god you have to try them. They are cheaply priced for the most delicious treat you'll ever have. My advice, get the toffee bars and head next door to the goat for an "Iced Chocolate Milk" it's not regular chocolate milk I promise!

On super short notice we asked Black a fig to cater a lunch at our office. They were able to accommodate our requests in the timeframe we needed. Mark was a pleasure to work with and the staff was so friendly and accommodating when we arrived. They even loaded the food in our car. Our party raves about the food and I couldn’t be more thrilled!

Every get together, party or special occasion (and I mean every) I call Black Fig, soooo delicious!! 💓 I can honestly say that for me hosting & planning can be overwhelming- I've learned to 'let it go' and order everything here- ask the staff to help make suggestions for the overall menu - they will guide you on everything - huge relief! Oh yeah, make sure you order some deserts - - omg perfection!!!

Don't cook dinner. Go to the Black Fig. Call in an order and they will prepare a great meal. They also have items available for pick up. And they cater. By the way, I suggest the pimento cheese - awesome!
