This was a random date night and it ended up being such an amazing experience. Our server was great, very attentive, answered all our questions. I wish I got her name, she was a blonde working 8/16 :) And the food. Was. Amazing. Genuinely some of the best pasta I have had in a while! The atmosphere is also very chill and perfect for a cozy date night. We will absolutely be coming back for more dates in the future 💗

We had a great time, the food was fantastic. A very friendly and welcoming place. Darlene, Denise, and Becca are very attentive and friendly. The chef even came out to check on our meals.

It is absolutely one of the best meals I have had this year. Asiago crusted snapper was fantastic! Attentive wait staff, and a menu that I had a tough time choosing from all the great selections. Nice atmosphere, and downtown Stuart is very quaint. 5 stars!

We frequently visit the Black Marlin. The happy hour menu is a tremendous value with appetizers large enough for sharing as well as delicious cocktails crafted by the excellent staff. The menu is varied enough to please any diner with delicious steaks and seafood, pastas, pizzas and the best fish sandwich ever. Seeing so many familiar faces each time we go is a testament to how great this local establishment is. We will continue to make it part of our regular routine.

Bartenders are bad as management… we won’t go for details. We are in the hospitality industry we own a hotel we always care about costumer service!

We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant, so we made a reservation for my husband’s birthday. Sad to say, we were very disappointed. The service was lackluster. We were not asked if it was our first time, the menu was not explained, the server seemed rushed and didn’t come back much to check on us. To add insult to injury, after we had ordered the bananas foster for a birthday dessert, which by the way was a mess (see photo, what flambé?), the server dropped the check off at our table before we had even started on dessert (I didn’t know we were at a diner???). The food was lackluster except for the Asiago crusted fish which was the highlight of the meal. My husband had really looked forward to the pistachio crusted fish, but it was bland and the rice was tasteless. We were not told he could’ve substituted the rice for another side. We didn’t see any managers around the entire time we were there. I’m sorry to say that as much as we were hoping for a great experience, that was not the case. 6/2/24 update: emailed the restaurant on 6/25 as per their request. No communication as of yet.

My wife and I had black grouper and Cobia. Absolutely fantastic. The service was amazing, and the drinks from the bar came very quickly

Qe ordered the Scallops and the Pistachio Grouper. App was Mussels. Scallops were under cooked. Mussels were good . Grouper was good but the rice was bland. We had cocktails. We asked for water 2 times and finally one glass came. Horrible service. So disappointed

I love love love the Black Marlin. Tucked away in downtown Stuart. Quite the gem. Cute spot, great service. Food is always very good but I do wish the temperature was hotter. (The food seems to always come out just warm.) It’s nice to go off-season when it’s not so crowded. I would recommend reservations unless you go at an off time, especially during season.

While on a trip to the area, we went to dinner here twice, in the same trip, because the food was that dang good. Plus all the staff was awesome. We spoke about going back to the area just so we could eat here again 🤣

Had dinner at Black Marlin Friday Jan. 5/24, made 7 PM res couple of days before, found it by walking by. We arrived a little early they took us in no problem. We had Black Marlin salad, great lite dressing, all salad produce fresh and good “crunch”, for mains we had chicken & artichoke w/ scallions, Caribbean jerk swordfish, with mango salsa all excellent, both chicken and fish we’re perfectly prepared hot and juicy. Service from Ellen was great she was attentive but did not rush the dinner. We will return, nice job to all at The Black Marlin Restaurant, Stuart.

We enjoyed dinner there last night. We had calamari and the tuna nachos as an appetizer, very tasty. For dinner, two of us had the scallops, I had The red snapper and my husband had the grouper. Everything was delicious our server Renee was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Went for dinner Friday night, not to crowded but we did make a reservation. All our dishes were excellent, appetizers were very good as well. Service considering how busy it was , was very good. We'll be back soon

Black Marlin is a delightful quaint restaurant/bar which has a predominantly female staff. The clientele enjoy pleasant chatter, sips and eats while listening to oldies. The jalapeño margarita warns of spice however I find it refreshing with a pleasant kick. The bam bam shrimp is fresh, lightly breaded with an Asian sauce and tossed on a bed of artisanal lettuce blend, with black and white sesame seed sprinkled on top. The chairs at the bar look like actual gator leather?! So cool.

Darlene is such a wonderful bartender. The drinks are consistently amazing everytime I come. The filet mignon is amazing, the cut them in house and you can tell the difference. One of my favorite places to treat myself.

We really enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter was great! I ordered the Carribean Conch cakes appetizer, and they were really too spicy for me to eat. Our waiter took them back and brought me a shrimp cocktail instead without making a fuss. The meatloaf dinner was awesome and had generous sized portions. We celebrated my husband's birthday and his desert, which he loved, came out with a lit candle, which was a nice touch. We were a party of four, and everyone enjoyed the evening. I highly recommend the Black Marlin.

Love it! We got the special of Beef and Reef, which is a lobster tail and sirloin. FANTASTIC! The service is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is fun. Highly recommend

I can not say enough good things about the Black Marlin. We celebrated our wedding day meal there. Jeff was incredibly helpful in helping us select the perfect menu items. What truly set this dining experience apart was the impeccable service we received. Jeff and his team went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dinner was flawless. They anticipated our needs and provided attentive, yet unobtrusive service throughout the evening. We were made to feel like royalty, and we were touched by their genuine care and professionalism. Thank you for making our special day perfect!

When entering the restaurant it smelled like fish. Sitting down in a booth, part of the seat had someone's oily food mess all over it and now it's all over my hand. Not a good start. We ordered the fried calamari and it was mushy, (undercooked is an understatement) and oily. I unrolled my silverware and there was food stuck to my fork. Needless to say we did not eat that. We left without eating anything from that place and never will give it another try.

We had Michael for our server and he was as superb as the food we were served.

A cozy, well-appointed bar with excellent appetizers that are a bargain during Happy Hour - 4 to 6pm. The limited space at the bar is a plus, if you arrive early, since the bartender is never overloaded with patrons. It definitely has a private club feel if you do arrive early.

We sat at the bar, staff was terrific, wide choice of delicious appetizers, we came for dinner but instead wound up ordering 4 different appetizers, great evening, oh yeah 2 bottles of Cabernet 😁☘️

This quaint little restaurant & bar located in historical downtown Stuart offers comfortable booths, tall table top seating and a sit down bar. The customer service was above expectations. Our server, John, was friendly, courteous and on point. A great variety of cocktails, wines and beers are available. The food was excellent, high prices but worth it. We started with bruschetta which was beyond expectations. I enjoyed the stuffed shrimp which was superb. The shrimps were juicy and firm and stuffed with crab. The dish included rice du jour. For dessert we enjoyed a nice slice a key lime pie which had a nice crunchy graham cracker crust, and tangy meringue. A great place for a special date night or occasion.

Initial impression was that the menu seems not very creative, but all of the food we ordered, tasted very good (portabella caprese, grilled caesar with blackened shrimp, snapper beurre blanc, and dreamscicle creme brulee). The restrooms were also very clean, which we appreciate.

Great place food and service makes you feel at home

Great restaurant, we all really enjoyed our meals. Everything from the drinks to the desert was great including the service. Can’t wait to go back. Their menu offered so many wonderful options that it was difficult to select one. Each of us loved what we had. We highly recommend this place but also think having a reservation is a good idea.

Came in while on vacation form Baltimore. Jimmy was very friendly, the food was delicious and the drinks were cold. I recommend the Mushroom Caprese.

Amazing!! We visited 3 times total and planned on a 4th but had to cancel our reservation. I wish I had a pictures of the food but when it arrived we went in on it. We got the shrimp cocktail, the grouper sandwich, and the meatloaf. We had two servers while we were there. They were both amazing. Seriously loved them and will be back to this place as it not only had amazing food but wonderful service as well. Oh and one was named Robert I think. Anyways, this place is a must visit. 10/10 would recommend.

Service was top notch. Our server was on it. Very nice, polite, and accommodating. The place is quiet and beautiful. Great ambience. I do have to say tho the food was relatively flavorless and portions were very small. Pretty expensive place not to enjoy the food. I had the seafood pasta. 3 pieces of shrimp and 2 pieces of crab in a bland Alfredo sauce. I wasn't impressed. We ate half and didn't take the leftovers if that says anything. The bread was the best part of the meal. I'm sorry, I'm just being honest. We won't be back.

I have never had a bad meal here. Last week my husband and I ate there twice. We had the salmon, cooked perfectly. Korean short ribs, delicious and melt in your mouth. Pork chop, perfectly cooked medium and a black Marlin salad.

What a nice cozy little place this was, the food was great, the service was excellent, our server Juli she's the one. We will go back again and again. RGB.

This is one of my favorite downtown spots! It's part of a small local chain whose owners know how to serve quality food. Atmosphere and bar are nice as well.

Had a good time, everything was fine except my dish that I ordered, it was the meat loaf, not the best choice, should have gotten something else, but other than that,,drinks and appetizers were great.

Our meal was delicious! Compliments to the Chef who went out of their way to accommodate a dairy allergy. Our waitress was fabulous, attentive and personable. Can't wait to return!

Went during Happy Hour as prices were appealing. Service was good but the calamari, bam bam shrimp and Mussels Audrey appetizers were not edible. The bam bam shrimp had a peanut flavor, and mussels were sautéed in cooking wine. Asiago snapper was fresh fish but had no seasoning nor did I get lemon on the side. The scalloped potatoes were delicious. In response to the owner below, your server told me the mussels were not prepared correctly as she also tasted them and was told me that was cooking wine. She said there was a different cook in the kitchen Saturday. Maybe you need to have the cook taste things occasionally. I myself an a former restaurant owner and I don’t complain unless the taste is off. It has nothing to do with my palate. It’s quite experienced in tasting food. I told the server and she advised the cook. My review was based on everyone at the table. Everyone complained, so I’m sharing.

First time here and definitely returning! Food was delicious and the drinks were great. Service was meh, but hoping it will improve on our next visit!

We were greeted at the door by the hostess asking us what we want. Obviously we were there to dine. As a party of 4 adults and 2 children . We finally got our table, the waitress came over and took our drink order. With that being said we wanted to get the kids fed right away and ordered milk and meals for the children (they don't have a kids menu), The milk came out, the grand-daughter took one drink of it and spit it out on the table. It was a sour. When the waitress returned later with our drinks and asked if there was anything else she could do for us, we told her about the milk being sour and she said she was sorry (no other apologies) nothing else was offered.. She took our appetizer order and left our table. We didn't see her again for another 35 minutes. Keep in mind we still have not received an appetizer yet. She came out and said oh you haven't got your appetizer and we said no we have not by this time 45 minutes have passed and the kids meals just hit the table. We didn't see her back again for another 15 minutes. We ask where the appetizers are and she said the kitchen was backed up??? When she returned with one of the two appetizers, mind you the one appetizer was a very small portion for the price and just enough for one person. we had also ordered more cocktails at the time of ordering appeitzers and did not receive our drinks. She still had not taken our dinner order, I then asked for the check and left.. Not one manager came over to us , as if no one could care , we'll never go back. I believe the 5 star ratings are old because there is no way they are a 5 star restaurant, they're lucky I couldn't rate it below one star.

My Wife and I had dinner there. Pretty place. On the small side but nice. Definitely an older crowd vibe. Menu was decent and the food was average. Service was good and pricing was on the high side. Overall, gotta say it was a quiet, nice place but the food and drinks were only average.

Nice atmosphere, however food was over priced, very salty and extremely small portions. Even the sides were small. To top it something made both of us ill! I will never return!

Super Happy Hour. We had cocktails at the bar. Too many. Loved my espresso martini and my husband’s margarita was amazing. We shared the most delicious mussels. Going back tonight to have them again. Their smoked fish pate was also a hit. Great place !

Nice place. Reservations would be a good idea. Fried green tomato appetizers was very good. Tomatoes were done perfectly. My friend had snapper asiago which was delicious. I had Italian seafood pasta. The linguini was cooked just right. There was an ample amount of seafood. However, the seafood and marinara was bland. I would not order that again.
