This PLACE!!!! I swear I never thought of golf as an option for me however after visiting this glorious location I have changed my mind. the greens were spectacular.

Great staff, amazing greens, quiet setting, friendly members; reasonable member fees; amazing food and drink. Love it here.

Was only there for a banquet. The buffet was very good. 2nd time the banquet brunch was only ok.

Played Black Oak a few times for outings. Course is a gem. Great conditions and layout. Wish I was rich enough for a membership. One of my favorite private courses in North Jersey.

Food is ok. Ambient is tranquil. The staff is very nice.

I played yesterday June 24 2021. The facility was very nice and the staff made you feel very comfortable and at home. The course was in excellent shape and very nice design with fantastic fairways and tee boxes. Also loved playing a course with well maintained and difficult rough. I would only call out a few things things. After the first hole there was an unusually long ride to the second hole, I was told a logistical zoning issue, so it is what it is. A few of the holes were a little too tricked up for me but by no means a show stopper. The other issue were the the greens. They were well maintained and rolled fast and true I would say like a 10 on the stimpmeter, home run. Many of the greens had severe breaks, like US Open kind of breaks. Clearly the defense of the course. I guess if you played there every day or you had a "greens book" you would get used to it. When the timing is right for new greens i suspect this is something they would look at. If you live within an hour drive or so of this beauty and you're looking to join a course I would highly recommend Black Oak.

My son plays on west Morris HS golf team and this is their home course. From what I can see it is a beautiful beautiful course and coming from a retired superintendent of a golf course point of view the maintenance staff along with the superintendent are doing a fabulous job

Loved it. Great course, in great shape. Food is excellent. Always love coming back here for the NJLICA golf outing. Staff was super accommodating. Looking forward to next year's event!!!

Great course with greens that can run fast and be very tricky if you are in the wrong spot. The club has a great feel with people who all seem pretty down-to-earth and a focus on a great golf experience.

Nice club but golf course has its limitations

Beautiful place, very clean. Well organized. Good service. Friendly staff. I went there for a fundraiser. Loved the fireplace and the atmosphere. I didn't golf when I was there, but others who have have said that they love the course.

Very welcoming club. Course is fun to play and layout is challenging without being penal. Conditions were excellent and allowed you to play your best. Pace of play was under 4 hours Very pretty scenery. Hard to beat.

Black Oak is a great place. The staff are friendly and great at their jobs, the members are friendly and are there to play golf and have a good time, the course is excellent and growing in nicely. The club house and the food are also well done. My swing...a work in progress.

Great place excellent facilities for practice and a beautiful course great restaurant also plus a very nice staff whether you are in the pro shop or at the restaurant all around fantastic place to be a member.

The course is in perfect condition. Afterwards, great food and atmosphere at their outdoor restaurant.

I love coming here with my dad! He is a member and I have so much fun here!!!

A beautiful golf course with terrific scenery. The clubhouse is wonderful and the employees were great. The greens were not easy and very fast.

We just got home from a 40th Wedding Anniversary party and it was amazing! The place is beautiful, the food was so good and well prepared and the staff couldn't have been more attentive!!

Beautiful track, excellent condition very challenging. Club house is understated yet elegant. Food was also terrific. I'd join in a minute but I already live on a golf course.
