Me, my sister and brother came here last night to celebrate his birthday and it was the best dinner from a restaurant I’ve had in awhile!!! The food was seasoned to the T!! Our waitress was such a queen!👸🏽 I didn’t expect to like the food but I was blown away. They put their foot in that Fr 😭Round 2 pleaseee🍽️definitely recommend! 10s across the board🤌🏾✨

I loved it here! I went with friends for my birthday and we all had a great time and enjoyed the foods. Some highlights were the mexican corn pasta and the spinach tortelloni. We also shared the tofu lettuce wraps which everybody enjoyed, but the pastas really stole the show. The appetizer we chose was the spicy tuna crispy rice! Loved the orange wine and the desserts we chose, the strawberry cornbread and the olive oil orange cake. Everyone also loved their drinks, pictured are the sangria and the gimlet. Service was just a tad slow but it was well worth it. My new fave in tally!

One of the most unique and delicious dinner experiences I can remember in a long time. If you’re in Tallahassee and you don’t visit Black Radish Bar and Restaurant, you will be missing a truly enjoyable experience. Kudos to the entire kitchen and wait staff. The menu is perfect for sharing. The variety of flavors and textures are superbly done. The Mexican Street Corn Cappellaci is not to be missed. So looking forward to my next visit.

First time here and it was quick visit. I sat at the bar and had a cocktail and an appetizer. Love the ambiance of the place. Friendly bartender and service overall. I was feeling adventurous enough to stray for my usual wine and tried a cocktail that I didn’t love. But the bartender was happy to replace for a glass I truly did enjoy. I had the vegan bubble potatoes that was good albeit a little bland for my taste but maybe that is what made it pair well with the sauce. I’m looking forward to returning and trying an entree.

Dining at Black Radish was delightful. I never expected to find a restaurant that would rank so high in my 'favorites' category. Chef Matthew and his talented team provided us with a meal that left us looking forward to our next visit. The attention to detail in the quality of ingredients as well as presentation was top notch and sitting at the counter afforded us a bird's-eye view of the magic. Do yourself a favor and make this gem a must-try when you are in Tallahassee!

Creative seasonal menu, great format to try a few different dishes, and reasonably priced. This place grills their own corn and then blends it to make a sauce! Everything seems fresh. The chef/owner even said hello, which was a nice touch. Will definitely come back!

What a great spot. The staff here are friendly and passionate about their restaurant. The service is excellent, and the food is wonderful with an interesting wine selection. They emphasize farm-to-table cuisine. I ate light this time but plan to return for the rib eye and the delicious-looking potatoes. I had the grits loaf with a demi-glaze, mushrooms, and other tasty elements. The snapper small plate was exceptional—the sauce, corn, and crunch were perfect.

I've eaten at Black Radish a few times before and always been impressed, but I feel the need to leave a review after my experience there with my mother this past Wednesday evening. Our entire time there was an 11/10, no notes, flawless dining experience. Jordan, our server, was kind, personable, fun, and knowledgeable about every aspect of the menu. She recommended wines, plates, deserts. She knew which chefs were responsible for which items on the menu. We just came for a snack before going to a movie, so we shared the Bubble Potatoes (a must-eat every time i go) and the Scotch Egg (per Jordan's recommendation). The only thing more beautiful than the presentation of each of those dishes was the way they tasted. Matt, the owner and executive chef, came out to check on our table (as I noticed him doing with most if not all of the others). It was a perfect table touch- genuinely interested in our experience, in no way overbearing. As sweets lovers, we split the Orange cake and the Strawberry Cornbread cake. The Orange Cake is one of my favorite deserts in town right now, vegan or otherwise. Jordan steered us in the direction of the Strawberry Cornbread as well (another perfect recommendation), and it blew us away. The pacing never felt rushed or lazy, the atmosphere was calm but festive, and everyone working looked like they were comfortable and happy to be there. That alone would be remarkable enough to leave a five star review! In a town and industry that can be punishing for its employees, everyone on staff at Black Radish looked engaged, comfortable, and professional. That's excellent management. The level of cleanliness, attention to detail, and incredible staffing made me feel like I was eating at a brand new restaurant trying to prove itself on a Saturday night. That's quite a feat for a restaurant that's been open for years at 5:30 on a Wednesday. The entire establishment clearly cares about the experience of every table, even just a mom and daughter having a snack in the middle of the week. It's truly a testament to Matt and his management staff. Kudos all around. I'm absolutely blown away.

I have finally gotten around to eating at this place. My spouse and I celebrated our anniversary there. The reviews are great and the food and experience lived up to the expectations set! I think this is now my favorite restaurant in Tallahassee. I am going to have to go back multiple times until I have tried everything on the menu. This evening, I had the Hibiscus Margarita, which tastes like a real margarita. My hubby and I split the bubble potatoes, Fried Tofu Lettuce Wraps, and the Peanut Butter Pie for dessert. Everything tasted fresh and like it had quality ingredients. For example, the tofu wraps came with cilantro, mint, lime, hot peppers, peanuts, and kimchi, and a savory Thai sauce…the tofu was crispy. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs preparing the dishes. Everything was beautifully plated. We chatted it up a bit with the dessert chef and at the end of the dinner, the main chef came out and chatted and introduced everyone. They seem to care very much about preparing quality dishes and it shows. Definitely a 5 star experience for me.

If I could give 10+ stars I would. . It is a good thing I did not follow some of the bad reviews, thank God. We were in Tallahassee for 1 night and my husband said lets try a different restaurant. The service, the atmosphere, the food...Superb. The chef brought out my Olive Oil cake himself. Omg. Please try this wonderful place. Jordan was our server...she was amazing. Highly recommend Black Radish. My husband and I are in town for our anniversary and were lucky enough to find this vegetarian-friendly place. The atmosphere is welcoming and bright, the kitchen is open, and the staff are nice. We ordered the tofu lettuce wraps, bubble potatoes, and sweet potato flautas. Bubble potatoes are light and fluffy with a bang bang (spicy-ish) sauce, flautas were filled with roasted sweet potatoes, and the main dish - the lettuce wraps - were build your own with sides of jalapeno, peanuts, kim chi, mint, cilantro, and sauces. All were delicious! One of the owners, Matthew, stopped by our table to make sure we were having a good experience. Upon finding out it was our anniversary dinner he gave us a dessert of our choice! We had the peanut butter ice box pie - and it was light, airy, chocolatey, and the peanut was present but subtle. We plan to return for dinner tonight to try a few more dishes...and the carrot cake!

Don’t know why this is my first time reviewing since we have had a few amazing meals here. I always leave so satisfied in an overall sense. The food, atmosphere, and service are top notch. Tried out a few new menu items tonight as well as some staples and they did not disappoint. Had the bubble potatoes as always, they stepped it up with the amount of sauce they serve with it, ‘Preciate! The sourdough is spectacular. The new chipotle sweet potato flautas were amazing. Tried the half portions of the mushroom pasta (play of sunlight mushrooms, amazing cream sauce) and the new gemelli sausage pasta (the slightly spicy sauce was insanely good). I love that they serve half portions of the pasta so I can try more! My husband had the old fashioned and I had the Tegroni which was soooo good. Took the carrot cake to go and we are happily eating it currently. This is a restaurant I always recommend to everyone. Consistently one of the best in Tally for sure. Also, we finally decided to sit at the chef area and it was interesting and interactive, highly recommend.

This resturant is a true foodie experience. I am a big meat eater so finding a place with mostly vegetarian and vegan options that I like is hard but this place is absolutely incredible. Absolutely delicious, imaginative menu that is incredibly vegetarian/vegan friendly. The draft cocktails we tried weren’t my favorite, but the food is really the reason you’re going. The serving size was much larger than I’d expect for many of the small plates. Also surprisingly great kombucha! The menu changes seasonally, but if they’ve got it, get the bang bang okra and sweet potato ice-cream with miso caramel. Both are perfect dishes. What a treat to have this place in Tallahassee!

This is a VEGAN review. I really want to love this place more than I do. The food would be on point if it was seasoned a little more. I have been here a handful of times and each time was just okay. For what you pay for I usually would rather to go to the bark for my usual so I can leave satisfied and full. I am never really full when I leave from here. It just needs a sprinkle sprankle more. Black Radish has been on The List for 12+ months and on a Thursday night. The Location | It is tucked away in a nondescript building with the logo as the only marker. It is off of North Monroe St and the entrance is facing north, so GPS helps more than usual. It shares parking with a few other restaurants and a mini strip mall so parking isn't abundant. The Space | There are three distinct areas: the main dining area has high ceilings, feels cool & drafty, potted plants on the floor, and the kitchen spans the south wall; the bar area in which the bar spans the south wall; and outside. We sat in the main area because we didn't know there was an outside area until we were already comfortable. The Service | When we walked in the door, Logan greeted us and seated us. He then proceeded to engage: ask questions, give info on the menu, ask for drink & appetizer orders. It wasn't until we had received our entrées that Sage came over and greeted us as the person waiting our table. Logan and Sage were friendly, knowledgeable, smiling, and engaging. Given how they interact with customers and each other, it is obvious - to me - that the staff enjoy themselves and that the restaurant is well managed. The Vibe | Chill & easy going. All about the Customer. In the main area the centerpiece is the open kitchen where - from the tables - you can watch the chef prepare the food but you cannot actually see the food being prepared. There is bar seating at the kitchen and sushi bar style, you could watch it all. The Food | Vegan. Vegetarian. Limited menu because most of the products are sourced locally from Farmers that we know and love. Vegan, Veg, or whatever you call it, it was good. We ordered two dranks, two appetizers, two pastas, and a dessert. • Mangy Parrot. It was ok. • Daisy Mule. Very good. Had two. Asked for the recipe. • Bubble Potatoes. Wow. A sprinkle of finishing salt along with that sauce and they are Phenomenal! Easily the star of the dinner. • Stone Fruit & Burrata. Tasty but lacking something. The creaminess of the burrata + the almost ripeness of the peach was good but it needed more: something salty with texture, an acid, some peppery heat, or an umami component that captured it all. Something. • Spinach Tortelloni. Would order again. Favorite of the two pastas ordered. Well done. Nicely balanced with the roasted tomatoes. • Mushroom Campanelle. A vegan dish and we added Parmesan. Least favorite dish of the dinner. The mushrooms were lost in the (cashew cheese) sauce which was too thick and cloying. • Carrot Cake. Oh yeah! It was vegan but outstanding. The little crunch bits on top were memorable. The Price | $105 before tax & tip. The Summary | The Black Radish is a restaurant that we will return to. The Menu is limited and vegan/vegetarian but changes seasonally. We will be back.

Had an absolutely fabulous time here. We’ve been wanting to try it since they opened and finally made time to come. The place itself is pretty small and cozy feeling. We loved the fact you could watch the chefs cooking. The most shocking part was the fact so much of what we ordered was vegan or vegetarian. Everything tasted so great (not to say vegan food cannot taste good, just shocked!). I love how they support local businesses too. The service is great as well. Our server was very helpful and attentive as well as the hostess. We’re hoping to try their next menu when it’s out.

We walked in, said we were hoping to sit and watch the action and immediately were seated with Matthew. To start we had the cheese plate with honey and homemade jams, yum! We ordered the Ribeye for two, with a couple old fashioneds and finished with a healthy slice of chocolate peanut butter pie! The ribeye was great, seared medium rare with a chimichurri sauce. Asparagus and carrots were beautiful sides and really brightened the look. The flavors and smells along with a few laughs from chef Matthew and his partner in crime Logan added a cheery atmosphere that will make us come back again and again. What a great experience!

My wife and I stopped in at the Black Raddish after checking the menu out and while most dishes are geared towards vegans (like myself), they did have a chicken dish and porter steak on the menu. My wife ordered the bubble potatoes, and I ordered the Cacio e Pepe fried asparagus watermelon takai and all of the food was off-the-chain good! Met one of the owners Matthew (super nice guy) and complemented him on the menu and food. Highly recommended if you you visit Tallahassee FL anytime soon.

Really good food! The bubble potatoes were really good, the sauce with it was delicious. Only one thing was it was lacking a bit of salt but the potatoes itself were smooth like butter. The cauliflower’s were amazing. The pasta was flavorful but our pasta was too thick. The best thing on here was the orange olive oil cake if you visit here you need to try it out, simply amazing. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 is because the cocktails weren’t my favorite. This place overall has a nice vibe and stunning presentation and customer service. Them having so many vegan and vegetarian options make me want to go there again and again

We all enjoyed the tapas-style plates. Most agreed we'd come back for the pear salad, tofu lettuce warps and definitely the peanut butter ganache dessert. The Brussel sprouts were a close second. No one (surprisingly) was crazy about the fried mashed potato balls. We all left very satisfied and very surprised at how reasonable the bill was (less than a typical lunch, for most of us). Service was excellent 👌. We all agreed we'd want to come back.

We LOVE coming here. The vegetarian and vegan options are amazing! Even a die-hard carnivore like my husband loves this place (although to be honest he always orders the fabulous chicken dish).
