$8 bucks for a burger? I can get a delicious fresh made to order single butter burger w/ lettuce and tomato for $3.47 and they're good size. For $8 bucks, I can get two and an amazing made to order small fry or drink. We're all on a budget. If Culvers can do this, why can't these other places.

I had high expectations. I’ll admit that I’m a BBQ snob, but expected better from this place. I loved the “hole in the wall” feel, but the ribs were just not good. Perhaps that’s how ribs are done down south, but they were a little tough with meat left on the bone when I bit. Flavor was so-so. Not a place I would recommend for ribs. Their burgers seem to be what people go here for. Try those if you visit, but don’t go for the ribs.

Went to visit friends and had to stop there for lunch. Just like I remember from back over 20 years ago. Delicious and not complicated. Had 2 single burgers with sauce only.

Blue Dot has been in operation for over 40 years. It is located in the Belmont-Devilliers neighborhood of Pensacola. The service was fast and the burgers were great. This is a no-frills restaurant but really comes through with their food. The lunch crowd was busy and the young lady working the counter was fast and efficient. The best hamburgers we have had in a long time. Well worth a visit.

It's a solid burger, don't get me wrong. But it's not anything you couldn't get from Five Guys

This is a local institution that is a family owned and operated business. The cheese burger was fantastic. They sold out the day we visited but we were one of the lucky last few. They use quality ingredients and the seasonings is where it’s at! Cash only but there is an ATM on site.

Hamburgers are top top top. I ordered the double cheeseburger and it was the best burger I have eaten in a long time. Reminds me of the burgers you could get in the 60s and 70s. Don't miss this experience.

I had lived in Pensacola for 25 years, and I never went to the infamous Blue Dot. It took me moving away and coming back to visit eight years later in order to finally come. And I instantly regretted all those 25 years of never being here before. It was so good. The building has that iconic look to it. They don't make buildings like that anymore. Stoic, blue, welcoming. You enter and there's just tables everywhere and a counter you walk up to to order. Lots of welcomes echo from the back where everyone was husting and bustling. Blue Dot's key to success has been its simplistic menu. Burgers and ribs and that's pretty much it. So I ordered one of each. Just a simple burger, no fancy fixins. But chocked full of flavor, tasted like it was cooked right on the coals. And a nice steamed bun. Very good. Very worth the price. And then I went a little too far. Not only did I order the ribs, I ordered the whole slab option. Sounds like a good idea at the time. Turned out to be a great idea. Dinosaur ribs in a big pan dowsed with a yummy sauce. No unrendered fat that got in your way, and plenty of tender meat. Bite, dip in the sauce, repeat until done. Overall, place has earned its legendary status. Efficient service, amazing food, a good place to show your friends from out of town. Will be back soon.

You will not find a hamburger better in the entire universe. Really. They march to their own beat here. Go with the flow and simply enjoy. Lot's of character. Narrow menu. They may have rib sandwiches but you must ask. They sell out fast on the days they have them. Hamburger/Cheeseburger is the main show here.

Burgers were mid. Nothing really exciting or special about the taste. They were a nice size. For the price point there's definitely other burger spots around pensacola that are more flavorful.

My burger was just what I wanted!!

The burgers were great, full of flavor and excellent texture. Fastest burgers in town. They keep it simple, I suppose it’s so they can be excellent at what they do. Only sore spot was when I used the restroom: only hot water to wash with - ouch! I’ll definitely go back.

If you like hamburgers, this is your place. I've been to Blue Dot three times since I bought property down the street. I'll continue to go back. No frills, just a great hamburger. The history of the neighborhood is remarkable. It’s well worth the trip. Think of the SNL cheese burger skits many years ago. When locals come in and yell their order you’ll have no idea what was just said. Relax, the second generation owner will take care of you like you’re an old customer.

Very good burgers. Maybe not the BEST I have ever had, but does that mean it isn't worth the price or worth the drive? Absolutely not. I would eat this burger ANY day of the week. I have not had many that I would consider as good, much less better. The owner does not play around! And the service was great.

Food is simple..limited..but they know how to make a tasty burger

Its not the same the buns use to be toasted and now they soggy the meat use to be seasoned now it aint its gross now it taste like a child played in it. They aint worth the price if it dont come with fries or a drink.

I'm hoping it was just an off day when I went. I didn't have a problem with the atmosphere, pretty straight forward. The girl behind the counter was doing call out orders for the folks in front if me. I knew what I wanted before I even went in. She asked me what I wanted and before I could even tell her about the second burger, she had turned and went in the back. So I was gonna catch her again, yet she not even acknowledging I was there. I had to wait till someone else came in before she was even within earshot to say I had another burger I was trying to get. Anyway... I get the ordering on the fly, fast pace, but they should make sure theyve got it all before they start flying around. But the taste was... meh. It was a hefty burger for sure, but both burgers i ordered were dry. Idk what all the rave is about. Honestly it wasn't that special.

It does not make sense how these burgers are so good. Like all they tell you exactly what's in it, but the sum is greater than all the parts. Plus the burgers are huge. Truly exceptional burgers. Counter service with a few places to sit inside. We heard the ribs are also exceptional, but they run out of them pretty quickly.

This is one of Pensacola's must haves when you come home to visit. They have the best homemade burgers and thier rib sandwiches are my husband's favorite. You gotta stop at Blue dot it just reminds me of home.

This place is a guilty pleasure of mine. The hamburgers are the best in Pensacola. They don't have a brioche bun or fancy lettuce, but hey, if you see yourself complaining about that then you should probably try someplace else.

Overhyped mid. $15 for a burger combo with chips instead of fries should be a crime. Burger was not even all that. Hole in the wall with a strange cult following. Closed on random days of the week whenever they don't feel like working. Very unclear menu and ordering process. Second time here since everyone hypes it up but I left just as confused as the first time. I will be sticking to MI SU and Brown Bagger for delicious burgers. Hard pass!

Incredible burger!!! My wife and mom got the original burger and I got the one with cheese. My wife was telling me that the cheese was new to the recipe - and I understand why!! The burger was so good, it didn’t need the cheese. Thank you so much for the care you put into your product. Delicious.

My four-year-old does not eat sandwiches before chips. And she doesn’t eat hamburgers with any sauce on them. She devoured this whole burger with the sauce on it before even touching her chips. That’s all you need to know. If you like hamburgers this place is the place to go. There are no french fries and it is cash only so don't be surprised.

It is what it is, a solid burger.

The burger was lacking any kind of flavor, the bun fell apart, the barbecue sauce was watery and lacked flavor. I was extremely disappointed. Due to the poor quality of the burger and poor customer service I will not be going back and recommend others look elsewhere for a decent burger.

Revisited Pensacola & had to try Blues. The burgers were still juicy & delicious as they were when I lived there many years. I consider Blues in Pensacola an American icon.

Great hole in the wall hamburger place in a historic part of Pensacola right next to the downtown area. It’s a Togo place. They have pretty limited hours so check before you go.

This burger is one of Pensacola's best. Sometimes I eat food so good that I think God is real. This is one of those food places. I hate a sad tomato on a burger, most of the time I just tell them to leave it out. But they season the entire burger to perfection including the toppings covered in sauce and it's just overall a good time. 10/10 would eat again love the straight to the point attitude.

First visit. We only tried the burgers. They were very good! Hot and fresh and fast. The girl working the front was nice. We will for sure be back.

Not sure that the quality matches the price. But I've only tried the DBL hamburger. Portion size was large.

A1!!! Five stars and some!! One of my coworkers recommended this place when I told him I was heading to Pensacola. The guy that runs the spot has no time for conversation; place your order and let him do his thing. This guy took 5 separate orders without a pen and paper(menu is pretty cut and dry) and came back not 10 min later with everyone's orders in bags! I will definitely frequent this place at least twice a month!! Update...$8.00 for just a burger? I don't know if I can ever go back. Why the upcharge when nothing has been upgraded? Not even a double or anything? We all need answers...

Blue Dot is my favorite burger place in Pensacola. Very simple menu but variety is not needed as it is all good! Currently with Covid they only offer take out. Make sure to bring a mask or you will not be served. If you ever get the chance to get their ribs you will not be disappointed!
