We had dinner at Restaurant Iron and as usual it was such a great and enjoyable experience. It being Sunday we did not think we needed reservations and just walked it. Normally Restaurant Iron is full but today it was empty but filled up later. We got there just when they opened. We got to choose our own table. From the time we sat down we got the best server in the house Ares. Ares was amazing. He waited on us hand and foot and made our dinner experience pleasurable. So I wanted the fillet mignon but our server spoke about the cobia, a fish that I had never tried. My date suggested that I get them both because I didn't know which one to choose. Because I love food and won't miss out on the opportunity to try out anything new, I agreed. Ares got our orders and it was fantastic. I would have given them 5 stars but because the steak was a tad too salty for me I'm giving them 4 today but that didn't take away much from the perfectly cooked steak. As for the cobia, it's the best tasting fish that I've had to date. We passed on dessert because I actually had two entrées, and I'm supposed to be dieting.😊 Thank you Restaurant Iron for never disappointing, see you again soon. Ares was so attentive and came to refill our hot water pot for tea at the right time. Thank you Ares for making our experience unforgettable.

Outstanding food and service. Very little could.have improved our experience. Some of the best food I've had in pensacola along with unparalleled service. Kitchen is open so you can watch ever step of their efficient and elegant set up. Cocktails appetizer and entrées all surpassed expectations.

MEDIOCRE FOR “HIGH END” Servers was exceptional *chefs kiss* which couldn’t be said about the food. Though the food was good, there were moments when eating that left me feeling underwhelmed. The escargo was salty in flavor and gritty which I can only presume was from the shells they were extracted from. Not only that but we ordered the “Pork 3 Way” where the pork was undercooked. Aside from the food, its dim atmosphere with high-end interior designs made for an intimate delivery, making it the perfect date night excursion. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place but I wouldn’t deter anyone from trying it at least once. It was extremely pricey, so if you’re working with a budget you might want to put this place on the back burner***

My favorite fine dining spot in Pensacola! The service is impeccable, the cocktails creative, the wine list is extensive with many 30% off options on Tuesday. And, the food is simply delish! The chef has created beautiful dishes using fresh ingredients and extensive spice blends. Red Fish, Scallops, Arugula Salad, Caesar Salad, Cioppino, Broccolini, Brussels, Truffle Fries are just a few of my favs.

Amazing service, some of the best and most attentive staff we've ever had! They are very accommodating for allergies as well. We came at dinner time on a weekday without reservations and were seated within minutes. The atmosphere is great, cozy and calm. Delicious food, best appetizers are the escargot and gnocchi, and the potato soup. Both are incredible, I could have them as meals alone. Their old fashioned comes with a delicious slice of smoked bacon. The cauliflower and scallops were perfectly done and beautiful. The bubbles on top were delicious truffle oil. The deconstructed chicken and dumplings was pretty good, but was the least delicious meal out of everything. Of course the steak was also amazing, tender with a nice crisp of seasoning. Lastly, the deserts. The Nutella pie is great, it does not taste like Nutella however. It's balanced with a softer sweet side and lots of salt from the pretzel crust. The key lime creme brulee is delicious. We'll definitely come back for more!

Been awhile since we dined at a fancy restaurant. Definitely did not disappoint, service was great from the moment we were greeted to the moment we stepped out the door. Watching the magic happen was an experience in its self, small spaces BIG FLAVOR! Love watching the passion that went into each dish as it was plated. Each dish we tasted was different, flavorful, beautifully plated and served. Was a very very lovely experience.

We tried Iron for the first time on a recommendation from my brother's friend. Everything about our experience was A+. The service was friendly and helpful. Blanch assisted us with our selections and was very attentive to our needs. Best personality ever! The food! We each ordered something different because we were torn on what sounded the best. Started with appetizer Black Garlic Butter Gnocchi and Escargot. It was tender and very flavorful. Highly recommend. The three main dishes we decided on were Chili Dusted Scallops, Lamb Neck Melt, and Anise Spiced Duck. We all sampled each other's and we couldn't decide which was the best. They were each were delicious in their own rite. Two of us ended the meal with the Key Lime Creme Brulee (the third regretted not ordering as soon as they came out, so I shared.) It was perfection. Everything was perfectly timed to allow for fellowship with your party and for an excellent restaurant experience. I'll definitely revisit.

The food & drinks were wonderful but we sat outside & gotten eaten by so many mosquitos. We got reservations for outside at 6pm & it was rather warm which we were expecting so I brought my fan. Everything was amazing except the mosquitos. When I told the staff we were being eaten by the mosquitos they brought a food fan to keep the flies away.

Sensational! The food (and cocktails!!) would make Alice Waters proud and the atmosphere is truly Southern-- slow and from the heart! No shortcuts taken on any of the classical sauces and the entire menu is a beautifully composed symphony of elegant, local/seasonal and nothing rushed and no shortcuts taken! Even more impressive: none of the snobbery you'd find at any equally good restaurant in San Francisco or Boston. I love Pensacola!!!

Ok, I know everything is getting Expensive, so when you’re going out to eat the last thing you want to do is feel like you're “ wasting” money. And let’s be real A lot of the times it’s been feeling like that’s what we’re doing when we go out. Like why do I have to add salt to your dish. 🤦🏽‍♀️ we have been here a fair amount of times. I really do think that their food is great. Good flavor, good ingredients it’s just fresh and well seasoned! So take your favor person out on a date and go enjoy some good food. The service has always been great too so you can’t ask for more. ( yes they do great drinks!)

Was in Pensacola for work and desperate for something that wasn't just a filler so I picked Restaurant Iron. I was hoping for tasty and they didn't disappoint. Delicious is the appropriate adjective for the Nola BBQ Shrimp & Grits (thanks for the recommendation Meg). I believe it was a basil olive oil edging that really set the bar for flavorful. I wish I had snapped a photo because the presentation was also on point. The Iron Rose cocktail was fab and I would have gone for two had I not been driving. Bravo Restaurant Iron! Update: Back for more 10/22. It is still delicious and Meg was still there! Iron Lyonnaise with Red Fish this time and full of flavor.

Went out for our anniversary a couple weekends ago and wanted to try this place we’ve heard a lot about. We don’t go fancy except for our anniversary. Let me tell you, this place was absolutely amazing. The food was mouthwatering spectacular, I have never had a steak that amazing, cooked perfectly to order (my husband got a steak too). The Fried Green Tomatoes topped with Crawfish were a little spicy for me (my husband loves spicy) but still ate one it was that good, the flavors matched very well. With my steak I got the bleu cheese topping and broccolini. The broccolini, was just a tad over done for me but tasted great. The Caesar salad was very good. My husband got garlic risotto with his steak with the Butternut Squash bisque. Both were really good, though the bisque could have been less thick, but it tasted amazingly and the risotto was cooked correctly. Aries (sorry if the name is spelled incorrectly) helped me pick the Lemon Drop martini, best in town! My husband got the Old Fashioned. He liked it, I tried it, and it was ok (for me) it just wasn’t a whiskey night for me. I have to be in the mood for whiskey. We took our time, which is nice when you have 3 kids it’s always non stop. Aries didn’t rush us at all and was very attentive, very funny, polite, and noticed when I needed more water, you know, the little things. We got the Cheesecake for dessert, we could only eat a few bites and got the rest to go. Because I ate my entire steak (again…yes, it was that good) so I was full. It was all around a great atmosphere, experience, and time. We will definitely be going back again. Maybe our spot for our next anniversary. It was definitely worth the money you spend there.

Drank and smoked yourself close to your deathbed? Well, Iron has the salt you need to attempt to taste your food before you get buried! Shrimp and grits tasted like they poured sea water on the dish. Yum. “Best chicken wings ever” salted battered wings, with salted sauce, on freeze dried blue cheese that tasted like salt powder, with a side of salty dipping sauce. Best dish of the night? 3 large glasses of water. Even some of the desert options were salted.

I'd like to start out by saying that there is not another establishment like this in Pensacola. Nathan and his team really take it to the next level, from the moment you walk in they treat you like royalty. Ambience is perfect for a romantic dinner or a group of friends celebrating. Food is not only delicious and fresh but is also presented like an art masterpiece. Foie gras 'pb and j' appetizer is not to be missed, foie gras is perfectly seared, almond butter, strawberry jam and their toast are a match made in heaven! I’m trying not to get carried away with superlatives, but we had a truly excellent dinner. We went for our anniversary, and they took such great care to make it a special evening. Service was impeccable, and the food was amazing. The best Brussels sprouts, the best crème brûlée, and some of the best shrimp and lamb I’ve ever had. I also need to say how accommodating they were about my wife’s gluten allergy. They didn’t have a limited “gluten-free menu” like most places. Instead they told her to order whatever she pleased and they’d make sure it’s gluten free. That *never* happens. Couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Highly recommended fine dining experience in the Pensacola area. From NYC with high standards for these types of restaurants, however, Restaurant Iron met those expectations in atmosphere and service, at least. My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary here and glad we did. The Anise Spiced Duck Breast was succulent and perfectly cooked with the most memorable black berry Foie Gras we have ever tried. The wait stave was truly exceptional with attentive and friendly service with extensive knowledge of the menu and modifications available as required. 4 out of 5 for food as the Seafood Cioppino was a welcomed twist on the classic Italian stew however, was a little briny for my taste. Lastly we were treated to seasonal cobbler for our anniversary however, the cobbler although presented beautifully, had an overwhelming nutty/gritty texture while the apples, although thinly sliced had a rather al dente texture verses and expected tenderness.

We had the beef tartare, chicken and dumplings, mushroom bisque, and filet mignon steak. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. I felt that the mushroom bisque was lacking in flavor, but the presentation of each dish was wonderful. I did wish that the music volume wasn't as loud and that the playlist matched the aesthetic. I feel that it took away from the atmosphere. But overall a tasty experience.

A restaurant that brings creativity to food presentation!🍽️ Restaurant Iron provides a unique dining experience to our area with its ambiance and menu—Southern Contemporary Cuisine! Atmosphere: The space is long and rectangular with tables and a bar area for seating! There is a bit of an opening at the front of the kitchen where the bar is that gives that space a bit of an open concept. Service: They were bustling with customers, but the waiters/waitresses were being efficient to provide a good dining experience for everyone. Menu items: I got their White Truffle Fries and their PB&J appetizer that they had at the time—it was an acquired taste! For my main entree, I ordered their salmon with peas (also featured is my cousins’s dish) which is not currently being served as they seasonally rotate their menu items. The food was good overall! I just wish the portion sizes were a little larger for the entrees. The experience here is fun and lively, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the presentation of each dish!

Wow, this restaurant exceeded my expectations . I had a Caesar salad to start & it wasn’t your typical Caesar salad. They put their own twist on it but it was still pretty good . I had the lamb chomps as the main entree and it was phenomenal. Well seasoned. I had the Nutella pie for dessert & to my surprise it was really good. The combo between Nutella, pretzels & caramel sauce was tasty. Overall great dine in experience. I only rated it 4 stars because my friend ordered the cobbler for dessert but it did not meet her expectations. We are not sure if that’s how cobbler is supposed to be made but it was watery almost like a soup with apple slices in it. That was the only downside of the dine in experience but I would go back to try another dish & dessert on the menu!

Had this place pop up in my “memories”from Dec 2021. Unfortunately I still remember this. Some of the food looked nice, but absolutely didn’t taste it. Others looked like an ogre went on a binge eating spree and then threw it up on your plate. “Gourmet” their Google info states lol Definitely not as upscale as they try to be. Most of it was downright bad. We didn’t finish anything. Save your money, your time time, and your stomach. It always blows my mind when places like this have a high rating. I’m convinced it’s because people don’t know better or from regulars eating the same thing every time.

Went with my gf and a friend that was visiting in from out of town. I ordered the duck, my gf had the scallops. The scallops were very tasty... we just weren't a fan of a whole plate of tomatoes and different sauces it sat in. I ordered the duck which was extremely disappointing. Not only was it slightly overcooked, but it literally took me 4 bites to eat... super small cut. The sauce it sat in was also super sweet for my liking. Cocktails were great and service overall very nice but food highly disappointing for the price and hype.

Oh. My. Gawd. This food was truly amazing! We got the 18oz ribeye (med rare), 8oz flank, Caesar salads, Brussels sprouts, broccolini, and blue cheese. Phenomenal. Service was fantastic. Waiter had great sense of humor. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed a memorable anniversary dinner at Restaurant Iron! The service was professional and warm, the food was amazing, and we definitely enjoyed a memorable dining experience for the tastebuds! I had the seasonal Lamb 4 ways, and it was just delightful! The flavors were hearty, rich, and original. Every flavor and bite was not what you expected it to be, but rather rich and new and unique. Just amazing 👏 if you are a Lamb fan. It's a must! We got the seasonal Apple Cobler for dessert. This dessert was like a warm hug on a fall day. Rich and surprising with a flavor profile that seemed to be more than just your basic cobbler. Did I dedect a hint of bourbon? Not quite certain, but it was fantastic! The Palofox mule is refreshing and elevated. It didn't taste like a can of ginger beer, but moreso, a lemon-mint refreshing cocktail. I loved that they actually printed menus just for us for the occasion based on our reservation! Made it feel so personal and inviting! Thank you for such a great experience!

I made reservations to celebrate our late anniversary, and it was amazing! Food was amazing! Tried escargot and creme brulee for the first time! Also got the duck, which I highly recommend! The creme brulee was amazing! I had special instructions to take a picture of me and my girlfriend since it was our first time dining in such a nice atmosphere. I proposed to my girlfriend, and the waiter was able to take a video of me proposing. The service is best to none!

We went to compare to Jackson’s and definitely loved this place more. The service was unbelievably fast, they were popping out our dishes the quickest we’ve ever seen. Our waitress was very nice, friendly and attentive. We got fresh plates and silverware with each course. Everyone was attending to us as well, not even just our waitress. Everything was quick. We both got Cesar salads and it was a whole heart of romaine! They served it in a way that we had never seen before. The crouton was a ring that wrapped around the whole salad. And they served it with garlic confetit. So yummy. Then we got the escargot and it was the best part for us! They tasted so good and the sauce was delicious. My husband got the spiced duck and it was cooked perfectly. The sauces were good and complimented it well. He loved it. They also gave us a discount for our special occasion which we really appreciated. All in all we were there for less than 2 hours and paid around $230.

Ordered $99 24 oz. Steak was grissly and not flavorful. Manager substituted $80 Fillet, came out small, and raw. Not a great experience. Way over priced. Lot better sreak houses in the area.

Danielle was amazing! She made the experience so much better than we had ever expected! I look forward to visiting again and hopefully she can take care of us again. (I hope we made your night like you did for us!) This was our first time (for my 22nd bday). We started with the fried oysters. I had the iron goddess cocktail (not pictured) and it was AMAZING! We then moved onto entrees and my boyfriend had the duck and I had the filet (mr). Both were so good. Also if you’re a fan of a chunky mash potato then you’ll definitely love them like I did. The cocktails pictured are the cruel summer and the old fashion, which were sooo hard to not finish with one sip because they were really that good. For dessert I had the cheesecake and 20 year tawny. The cheesecake was so good and the coulis wasn’t overly sweet and went well with the flavor of the cheesecake. They took care of the cheesecake for my birthday and also had a personalized note on the menus when we got to the table. I will be back !! I also work in the industry and it’s so hard to find a good restaurant where I actually get good service, so thank you.

Went to Restaurant Iron last night. I never much comment on places we go because everything is usually decent but omg this place was terrible. The gumbo tasted like thick gravy with heavy worstershire, the red fish with crawfish maque chow was just bland Andes to be up’d a notch. The chicken a dumplings was deconstructed, okay but just not worth it. The escargot was in a very salty sauce with gnocchi and mushrooms, It’s expected that you eat it with the bread but you have to in order to dumb down that salty flavor. I wish they just had escargot..The salmon deviled eggs tasted like tuna but the dill sauce made them okay. They should consider mixing it in ahead of time, The jalapeño cornbread was not up to par. Practice and maybe even Mexican cornbread euth buttermilk would be great to take it up a notch. This restaurant needs to really start over again, I am so disappointed. It was really just not worth it to know I could have had food that was 50 times better at home, $450 and I am so disappointed. The service was outstanding.

Hands down in the top 5 best restaurants in Pensacola. I'm a foodie with a fine dining cooking background and there's a lot of good at this place. Great atmosphere, great staff, shout out to Nick behind the bar for excellent service... Definitely a good back of the house staff food was on point - and the menu has a nice array of culture and creativity. Overall 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

My husband and I went here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was a cozy atmosphere and the tables were set up just right. Our waiter, Aries, was wonderful. He was so enthusiastic and very attentive. The food and drinks were top tier. Also the bar had a large selection of rare properly made additive-free tequilas you probably won't find anywhere else!

Small restaurant with very few tables. Order for 3 took over an hour to come out. When my $100 rib eye hit the table it was severely charred and the inside temp was over cooked to medium well. Very little pink. Will not return. Save your money, and eat somewhere else.

Third time here in a year and the food is always underwhelming, esp for the price. I tried some lamb ribs last night that were drenched in a yellow mustard. Why? Couldn’t even taste any mint and globs of yellow mustard takes away from the richness of a good lamb. Not tasty at all. Cocktails are good tho. Service is great but takes a while to get food.

Excellent food and experience at Restaurant Iron. It is a small restaurant with only a few tables and bar seating inside. That does make for a very intimate experience. The service was very good and food was served timely, especially considering each dish is prepared only when ordered. It was wine night so we shared a bottle of wine at a reduced price. We shared the salmon deviled eggs for an appetizer and ordered the redfish and the scallops for mains. All were excellent. For a special dinner, Restaurant Iron is special.

Food was amazing, great service, and the drinks were phenomenal! We had the chicken liver pate for our appetizer and it was delicious. We had the quail and the duck for our main course and both were very good. We got the nutella pie for dessert - so delicious! Everything was just so good I can’t wait to go back! Really great deals during happy hour as well, I believe it’s from 4-6pm.
