Lobster roll was amazing, lots of options available for takeout and dine in

What a great find on our last day in Barrington- only wish we had found it sooner!! Delicious Blueberry muffin for my husband and fabulous #3 Breskfast bagel for me - with turkey, cheese and onions! They were busy - we were on the way to the airport- but special order (no bacon and light cheese) was no problem!!

Wife likes it, but i think overpriced for portions. Unfortunately its in an affluent neighborhood so they wont change.

Friendliest staff and best sandwiches! The #2 and #4 breakfast sandwiches are out of this world! I’m there a lot and it’s always delicious and fresh! Their sweets and treats are amazing as well!

Stopped in on a bike ride and really enjoyed this cafe. Drinks were very good and the breakfast sandwiches are generously sized with what appeared to be fresh sausage with maybe a maple syrup flavor to it. Very tasty, will come back.

Not impressed sadly- I love nothing more than spending some time in a cafe with a good coffee. My cappuccino felt half empty and I opened it to mostly foam. I have never had such a small amount of coffee in a cup. The atmosphere isn’t great, which was a big let down. Honestly the aesthetic of a cafe is so important. It’s the little touches that make a place enjoyable to be. It just felt messy inside. There were a lot of options to choose from when it came to food though. Not a good experience sadly, will stick to my favorite cafes not far away like Bywater and Borealis.

I want to love this place because it seems like a great place, but I've had two disappointing sandwiches in a row. The quality seems pretty good, the value just isn't there and the proportions are way off. My Italian grinder was all bread and not great bread at that. This sandwich was almost $15 after the obligatory 20% tip. I'll probably give this place another shot, I'll stay away from the sandwiches though.

Outstanding. We had sandwiches and coffee here, both of which were good. The desserts, however, are what put this place over the top. The cannoli and cheesecake are the best that I have had in many years. The owner and staff are also great and the atmosphere is very comfy. Delicious, good price, friendly, and comfy, who could ask for anything more?

Great café located in Barrington! The Blue Kangaroo offers a great variety of options for all your food and beverage needs. I often get a muffin or scone with a delicious latte. Want a sandwich? Grab a breakfast bagel or other options to fill the stomach. I recommend a bagel with egg, bacon, and cheese. The café has a friendly staff, clean environment, and tables inside and outside to enjoy a dining experience. If you are ever in the Barrington area, stop by and grab something to go or take home!

Great lobster roll! It was so busy on a Sunday afternoon we ate it outside. Great atmosphere, great food. 8/10 overall for lobster rolls! Lobster Roll came on a butter toasted bun, with a lettuce leaf at the bottom of the bun to prevent the roll from becoming soggy. Then topped with lobster, mayonnaise, and celery. The lobster roll came with a side of pasta salad.

I am there almost 4 times a week. Love it! I love everything about it!

In brief, I'd recommend opting for Blue Kangaroo Cafe over Black Pear. Blue Kangaroo Cafe offers more competitive prices, friendlier staff, and food quality that's on par. Being from Jersey, the bagel sandwich I ordered left a little to be desired because it tasted different compared to what I'm used to, but it certainly wasn't terrible.

A go-to for a quick but quality sandwich, salad, or baked good. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful!

Amazing- the aesthetic is that of eccentric artsy aunt who loves to shower you with gifts and can also bake really good - the coffee- incredible- I tried the Pumpkin caramel latte- so good that it would be my last meal - I also highly recommend the pumpkin mousse- like I died and went to heaven-

As a former New Yorker I'm hesitant to get a BEC anywhere else but the food here is great, they are super friendly and everything came out quickly. Loved the pumpkin muffin too. Country store style candy also doesn't hurt :)

Happened to stop in for a quick snack and found the best gluten free scone! Scones are not easy to make in gluten free and the one I had, apple, was fantastic

I wish I could give this place more stars but they've messed up my order three times now. All three time's it was when I ordered the steak bomb. Twice I asked if they could put it on bread instead of a wrap and they still put it on the wrap. Another time I asked for just lettuce, tomato,cheese and mayo and they put peppers and onions on it. I love all the bakery item's they have but it's frustrating when the sandwiches can't be made correctly.

Nice atmosphere, has a few indoor seating and outdoor. The breakfast sandwiches are pretty good size for the price, the boomerang coffee drink is good but too sweet for me. They used to make like a chicken marsala meal you could take home- loved it but haven't seen it in about a year or so- mostly see red sauce based meals (which I can't have) so that kind of disappoints me. The staff is friendly :)

This place has an excellent and large selection of fresh and homemade food, as well as drinks, and coffee. Staff is always friendly. My go-to place for breakfast and/or lunch.

Throughout all of high school and into college I've come to Blue Kangaroo Cafe, and not once have I had a negative experience. Every time I walk in, not only am I greeted with a smile, but a clear care for what they're making; even during rush hour. Their hot food, carry-out dishes, coffees, and other beverages are phenomenal. I highly recommend the Hot N' Heavy sub!

Great, local spot! The owners and staff treat you like family. We love the nitro cold brew on tap from the Nitro Cart, breakfast bagel sandwiches, and gluten free pastry options.

Normally someone would have an elaborate story on why such a place is great, let me simplify it. I eat here very irregularly, its always great, always friendly and i have never had an issue. Now i want a shakey jake...thanks google reviews... Edit - however many years later. Plenty of options, always great service and options as well as prepackaged quick meals.

Cute cafe on County Road in Barrington, RI. They have the most delicious Chicken Orzo Soup. Also, great pizza, muffins, scones and cookies. There is indoor seating and in good weather there is outdoor seating.

This Cafe has many different and variety of submarine sandwiches crying is if you will and some good protein drinks if you'd like to get a quick smoothie breakfast. They do have a variety of different muffins at times and during the day they usually have a special waitstaff is quick and found them very friendly.

I really like the food, it's so nice that they have a gluten free offering, which is hard to find in this area. I do wish they were more consistent with their coffee making practice. Depending on the person making the coffee, it comes out completely different every time. The coffee I got last week was amazing, but the one I got today was not too good...

This place was recommended buy a local store owner while we were looking for a place to eat lunch. The food is delicious with lots of choices of sandwiches, soups, coffees, and a whole grab-and-go section. Healthy options too, including fruit cups, salads, and parfaits. Indoor and outdoor seating, or grab your food to go. GrubHub is available. Public restrooms as well. Will definitely be back for another meal.

Love Blue Kangaroo! Everyone who works here are super nice and the food is very good. They always have plenty of ready-to-go options in the cooler if you are in a rush and their specials are always to die for. Love the #6 breakfast sandwich and the Italian grinder. I also love that recently they have been having more Mediterranean food like fresh hummus and stuffed grape leaves. Prices are decent for Barrington but I will always come back for how friendly the staff is.

A wonderful deli/restaurant. Great selection of sandwiches. I had a turkey Reuben sandwich. It was different but very tasty. I also ordered a ham and cheese grinder for my mother. She enjoyed it and had enough for 2 meals.

I ordered a sandwich on their gluten free rolls and was shocked (in a good way) at the size of the roll. It was a full size sub roll like the ones you get from sub shops, but GF! Those of us with gluten issues know how rare and precious experiences like this can be. Will definitely be back. The sandwich fillings were all fresh and delicious as well!

First experience at Blue Kangaroo. Tasty bacon, egg and cheese bagel. The plain bagel is rather sweet. House made maple sausage is enjoyable, also very sweet. Did not care for the cinnamon roll, too sweet. Will try again.

One of my favorite local places. The food is always amazing and there’s always a great variety on the menu. It’s often difficult to choose what to get. Great daily specials to choose from. Service is always courteous and personable. New, climate-controlled outdoor seating makes dining comfortable in beautiful Barrington. Give this place a try!!

Best breakfast sandwich in the state by far.

I just had the best grilled chicken sandwich ever. Everything was fresh and tasty (I had it on multi-grain bread). If you’re on a fitness diet, they have a delicious egg white scrambler with spinach and grilled chicken, which is priced very reasonably. And the coffee is great!

Not the best quality food, but a nice fun place to go with friends and family. Their coffee was very sour, I must of had the dark roast. I'd recommend something lighter. They have a lot to choose from on their menu, so it's great for occasions. I have to eat gluten free, so I got a gluten free muffin which was pretty good. Service was friendly as well. Its just the quality of food is a bit commercial, but If you don't mind, then it's a good cafe.
