It was a good experience was my first time being there I heard about it from a friend and another friend of mine was like let's go to the blue Tequila Mexican it was very good people are very polite the drinks for incredible when it was time to pick our lunch I told one of the waiters to see if he could recommend one of the food that was on the menu it was so awesome I would go there again is so close to my house

Best fried ice cream we’ve ever had! Everything is made fresh with the best ingredients! The salsa is also the best I’ve had in a long time and is obviously made with freshly chopped cilantro! Everything seems to be made with love. I think this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the entire country of the USA!

Very good service and pleasant place, no annoying noises, that helps the customer a lot.

They were busy and VERY quick with our food which was awesome with a toddler present. I put hers in first and by the time we decided ours came out in less than 10 minutes. Honestly probably 5. Good was great, drinks were good too. Cheap, close by to our home. We will be back.

I went back today, had a great meal fantastic service. I spoke with the same manager this time as I did last time. We talked about my last incident and he said he would look into it. I told him I felt like the order got dropped. They may have forgot to put it in. Today's meal was fantastic. Great service and told the manager that. I said one bad trip does not prevent me from coming back. I enjoy the food and the atmosphere and that's why I go there a lot. Thank you very much Since my last review, I have eaten several more times there. Never been disappointed again. Today I arrived, the place was not very busy. I was seated at a booth. I ordered my drinks, 32 oz beer and iced tea. And they brought me my chips and dip. I placed my order when my beer arrived. I ordered my meal. I have never drank half of my beer or chips before my meal arrives. I finished both, and I still continue to wait. I finally told a waitress to pack my food to go. I was tired of waiting. The manager tried to assure me I hadn't been there that long, but I contradicted this and said no. I have been here longer than that. I have never waited this long for my meal. I paid my bill and gave the server a proper tip. I don't understand why service was so slow today. Again. It was no crowds whatsoever. I like the food. I will continue to eat there. I took the meal home. I'll eat it later. I was too upset to even eat or enjoy my meal. That's why I took it with me to go. I'm not sure what's going on today but you need to look at your staff and find out what is going on. Thank you I have eaten there many times. The food and service has always been great. I arrived today around 1:30 to 1:45. The restaurant was basically empty. I decided to eat at the bar. The girl behind the bar. Nadia C. (name on the bill) took my drink order and brought me my chips and cheese dip. I drank my entire 32 ounce beer and ate most of the chips while Nadia basically fixed a couple of drinks and then proceeded to carry on a conversation with a lady at the bar for about 10 minutes. Then she left, delivered another drink and proceeded to ignore me for a few more minutes. She then asked if I wanted another refil, I explained I had been waiting 15 minutes to order my meal. Her reply, you should have stopped me. It is not my job to stop you, it is your job to be observant and wait on your customers. I ordered a meal to go, I had lost my appetite. I figured I would eat it later for dinner. When my food was delivered, she started working on my bill when another customer came up and mentioned he wanted his bill, he was tired of waiting. Remove this woman from the bar, she is not qualified for that job. I will return, but if she shows up at my table, I will request another server. My total bill was $51.00. I have her a $5.00 tip and in my opinion that was too much!

Table side Guacamole, outstanding. I will order this as my meal and snack off the family. I can honestly say, this is the best Mexican restaurant in North Port!

I've always had incredible food here until today. I put in an order online. It said 40 minutes. I went to pick up and was told they was working on it. 15 minutes later I was told they never got the order. I ordered again. When I got home, the steak and bacon was so overdone, it was like it cooked since my first order. Aggregating.

Chips and Salsa, Chori Pollo, Coke and Fried Ice Cream made for a perfect night out at Blue Tequila!

Great food, great service, I'm addicted to the salsa! Love the atmosphere and the staff are wonderful. The food is tasty and filling. The kids always ask when we can go back!

I dont think the food and margarita's are as good as they have been in the past

Went in to have a drink with my wife and we sat at the bar. Even though it was busy, Ashley was amazing, on top of refills before we even had to ask! Love the tequila selection and the giant michelada was goooood!

Cute place, clean, the staff was very nice and attentive. My only advice is don't look at the menu online. Just wait until you get there. Things have changed and idk if their website has been updated. They were just as surprised as we were. Give it a go.

Taco Tuesday is a must! $1.99 tacos are big and stuffed with meat and all the rest. Large menu selection and great prices. If you have never had fresh guacamole made at your table, it is also a must do.

service was poor at best had to ask for salsa and chips 3 times. never came back to see if we wanted more drinks( had to go to bar myself for a beer) brought checks never asked if we were done or if we wanted dessert.

Amazing staff 👏 great food 👌 bonus fried ice cream 🍦 fast efficient kitchen. If you ate with in 30 miles of this joint at dinner 🍽 time it is totally worth the visit!

My husband and I had lunch there yesterday. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. The highlight was that the food was amazing! The portions are huge! My chalupa will be three meals for me. Our waitress was friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

The food was awesome, the appetizer we ordered was chorizo & queso dip [it came with tortillas but we used the chips & it was TO DIE FOR]. For our meal we shared a loaded nacho & got a couple street tacos, all the food was made very well! Our waitress was okay but not excellent, we asked her stuff during our order that didn't come to the table & wasn't even on the bill, after rereading the menu asking to take the jalapeños off she said she would let thr kitchen know but it still came out with them on there. We were sitting right by the bar & entry to the kitchen & didn't see her go back there once to ask for the adjustment. I think she was too busy between waiting tables & making drinks @ the bar. O really the food & atmosphere were awesome, service could use a little work.

Wow wow wow! What a hidden gem! This restaurant is adorably decorated, all the way down to the bathrooms! The staff are super friendly and attentive and the food is out of this world. The salsa is great - very flavorful but not too hot. The margaritas are to die for but that blue Malibu coconut drink was my favorite. I ordered the Pineapple Hawaiian and it was amazing - two people could share. The other guests in my party ordered the Molcajete, which included so much food and was fantasically presented. Definitely would recommend!! Five stars!!

Awesome people and they take a dining discount card... Go so often we consider it our office for holding meetings and brainstorm sessions ... Ask for the green sauce with the chips... They have our drinks ordered without us even asking

Seats in the middle were a little tight but endless chips and salsa and very large delicious portions made up for it! Everything had lots of flavor.

Very yummy. I would definitely return next time I’m in town. Fresh guacamole made right at your table. Can’t beat that! Fresh chips. Umm good. Soft tacos with beef perfectly seasoned. Great choice for lunch.

One of the best Mexican food restaurant I’ve been to.

I ordered a chicken fajita salad bowl and there was 3 little slivers of chicken in the whole salad. Not happy and it was $11.49 Went for tacos, not bad just wasn't the way we ordered them. The same waitress I have had her twice now. Never gets the order right. Ugh.

This place is way over rated not sure why they draw the people that go their. I have figured it out. They opened a new establishment in Venice and have sent all of there good chefs/cooks to the Pineapple Tequila and left the not so great trainees at the the one in North Port because the area around Venice isn't so afraid to pay the money and they also draw a crowd. It is night and day between the two. The Manager (at North Port) likes to stay behind the register at the desk and not go out and visit the customers where the one in Venice likes to interact with the patrons and converse. I brought these friends here for the first time and what a disappointment. They need to step up to the plate and retrain the staff to include the manager if he is affiliated with the family he should be ashamed of himself. We will travel the extra miles to visit the one in Venice but rest assured we will not be Back to the one in "NORT PORT". SIGNED, EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED & NOT GOING BACK!

I stop in for lunch every month and I’m never disappointed, I’m normally waited on by Fabian, great server and very attentive to my needs, yesterday though I was taken care of by Hugo and I have to say he was very good, he stopped by and checked on me frequently and made sure my lunch was a pleasant on. I’ve never had bad service at Blue Tequila and I highly recommend, not only is the food amazing but the servers are just as amazing!.!.!.!

After hearing great reviews of Blue Tequila we finally tried it for a family dinner and already can’t wait to back again! Service was excellent starting with the fresh chips and salsa. All of our meals were plentiful and delicious and provided leftovers for the next day. Drinks were fantastic and I loved my michelada which I’ll definitely be getting again next time! Excellent first impression!

I ate here with a friend a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic!! There was a short wait, we went at a busy time, their excellent text messaging system informed us of where were in the waiting line, how long we had been waiting and the estimated time left to wait. It was amazing and I have never seen a restaurant have that kind of system. The decor was beautiful. The food was fantastic. I ordered guacamole and thought I would get a bowl of it. Well I did what I did not know is that they bring a cart to your table and make it at your table!!! They make it just how you want it! I have never seen that before. The service was fantastic. Very attentive which was impressive given how busy they were. Oh and one more thing, The bathrooms were very clean. Quite a surprise for as crowded it was. Love this place!!!

Went here with my in-town parents and glad I did! It looks like a hole-in-the-wall from the outside but it's a whole different vibe inside with beautiful glass light fixtures (think Chihuly glass) and modern wall art. The service was rather slow but they were slammed. The tableside guacamole is a MUST- so fresh & delicious, definitely worth the wait! With a nice big margarita, honestly that would have been enough for me but I did order & enjoyed my plate of grilled veggies. Would definitely return!

BEWARE!!!! when we went for dinner on Feb 4th 2024 our credit card number was compromised!! Food was very good but after leaving within 3 hours I began getting many charges on that card that I did not make. After speaking to the manager at that location I was told that she doesn’t know anything about it. Turns out an employee had been fired for doing this to others. The manager playing dumb didn’t go over well since I already knew how this breech happened. BEWARE!!!!

Best Mexican food in SW Florida!

The place always seems busy and that's because the food is great! Somehow I've never had to wait to get a table and the service has been exceptional too. It's definitely the best Mexican joint around here in my opinion. Go gitchu some!💪

Overall a good Mexican restaurant. Been dozens of times. Pricey but the food is consistently good. The service is great. It is loud in the restaurant when its busy so be prepared for that. Good local restaurant.

Carry Out - cashier does not greet - The Carry Out meals get shorted on Salsa- Recieved 4 oz cup - half full (2oz) should equal the amount you get in the restaurant !! Each person on the order should get 4 oz of Salsa!! Looks cheap and I know you’re not meaning to be!!

My go-to for Mexican. They ALWAYS do it right.

Got take-out for the first time. The chimichunga was the size for a child and the beef tasted old or canned. Lunch portion is usually 1 chimichunga vs dinner being 2. But not usually this small. No flavor. Like 3inches long and not much meat in it. But how could you put much meat in something so small. It was NOT deep fried at all, no crunch / crisp to it at all. It was more like a soft Tortilla covered in bland cheese sauce. The Salsa tasted like tomatoe soup. Nothing like salsa at all. The chips were stale. The rice was fresh but again no taste to it. Speedy Gonzalez was bland too. The chicken was just ok. The Enchilada sauce had no seasoning flavor. More like tomataoe. The Tortilla that was used was pretty good. We picked up right at the time they said it would be ready. That's a plus. Over all there was no flavor to any of it. I was very surprised to this with how busy they seem to be most times I pass by. Also for a Mexican restaurant. Didn't eat in but from appearance seemed like it was very to each other/quarters. Wheelchairs may have a difficult time in there. I ended up throwing away half my food due to no flavor. Not what I was hoping for. There are few places decent to eat around northport. Parking is difficult as well.

Favorite place for Mexican food in the area. Don't be hesitant if there are a few people waiting before you; this place is probably the fastest, most efficient sit-down restaurant I have ever encountered in my life. Most of the servers can magically memorize your order and get it perfect on the first time, and the menu isn't small. I don't know how they do it, but they do it well. While you wait on your food, they give you limitless chips and their house-made salsa (delicious), and you'll have to stop yourself from filling up on that before your main course, which is delivered in like 5 minutes, hot and steaming. Portions are big enough to save for lunch tomorrow. Go here and tip well!
