Great Tavern! Looking forward to getting back. Back in the days, the bar kept a Suburban parked at the dock for the boaters. It was painted orange with a roller. The name "Hester" was painted on the side. When you showed up the keys were in the ignition and ready to go. If Hester wasn't at the dock, you could call the bar and the last person to drive Hester had to go back and pick up the newcomers. The newcomers then held the key for the next people. It was an adventure when everyone piled in to go back to the dock. Hope to be back this September.

Boblo Tavern is a very nice restaurant on Balboa Island Rizal so what bar they have wonderful food and very nice people everybody there I would say knows everybody

I have been going there for 25 years on the island. Always been a fun place to go watch the football or special game on TV and get with the local community and discuss your day or things. Go have a nice greasy burger if you like.

I thought it was a greasy spoon - nope, I had fantastic fish tacos, and first timers on the Island get a snifter of a drink that'll knock you back a pace or two. That and friends - perfect.

It's a great time! A place where everyone knows your name and jen sarah rainbow and lulu are the best!!! Love the wings and fried mushrooms! And barb the Tavern owner never meets a stranger always has a hug and a smile!!!!

Only place on BobLo one can go... meals are pretty bad but the ambiance is wonderful, the people welcoming and the always promises to be a good time.

You don't have much to choose from on the island, but this place is great. The local spot for residents and visitors. It is always a good time and a great place to chat with others on the island. Food is great and cooked to order, the staff and owner are the nicest people around. One of my favorite places to visit when we are up there.
