Brisket was amazing! I hate paying for a layer of fatty stuff and asked for the brisket to be cut on the lean side. Even though it was cut lean, it was not tough. Great hole in the wall bbq without big city hipster bbq prices. Will be back soon

I’m born and raised in Texas and THIS is the best Texas BBQ I have ever had. Definitely worth a stop to eat here.

Glen carved up a lb of excellent brisket for me (to go), same as always, and tossed a slice for me to eat on my way out the door.

I really liked the idea of letting people write on the walls, doors and a lot of things in general. Though it does give it a bit of a shady look. 4/5 Atmosphere!! The service was nice, staff were friendly and welcoming. Made a little bit of talk with them. For our meal for 4 people, it came out very fast. Hey staff remember us? No, we didint have a 18 hand tall horse, or goats, or sheep but a mini horse. 5/5 Service. The most important factor. The food. Our meal came with free bread to make BBQ sandwiches!! Green flag. The brisket is amazing, and anything dipped in the BBQ sauce follows the same path. The best BBQ I have ever had. 6/5 stars, or course.

I walked in right before they closed and they were polite and didn’t rush me at all. BBQ was delicious, I highly recommend!

Had sliced beef, ribs, beans and potato salad. Sliced beef was cut from the portion of brisket that should be chopped. Rubbery fat throughout. It did have a good flavor, but couldn’t finish not chewable. Ribs were kinda tough too. Sides were mediocre.

Sliced beef sandwich was large and tasty. We’ll worth the money. Brisket was tender and delicious. Glen and Nita were very sweet and friendly. We travel through Hamilton often and this is my first stop. I will put it on my regular stop schedule from now on. For sure a go to BBQ stop.

Good basic backwoods Q. Reminds me of the small mom and pop stands where I grew up in NE Texas. Basic beans, cooked just tender, but not mush, with minimal seasonings. Great accompaniment when I mixed some brisket and sauce with a bite. Cole slaw is creamy style goodness. Basic and delicious. Turkey was tender and well accented by the pecan smoke. Same for the sliced brisket. Rib had good flavor but hard for me to rate with just the one. Nothing fancy or pretentious here, just small town ‘what you see is what you get.’ Four stars for the food and the fifth star is special for Nita and Glen making everyone coming and going feel like part of a family.

Wow! I'm glad we were hungry on a recent road trip, passed a couple of BBQ joints along the way, but very glad we stopped here. Family run and operated, my chopped brisket sandwich disappeared! If you order the stuffed potato, share it or get it to go, the pulled pork was fantastic on top!

OMG...what a gem. This little place tops some of the "famous" BBQ places! Maybe best brisket ever, tender to eat with plastic fork, wonderful sausage, we didn't try ribs but they looked good (next time). Loved the beans, just good ol plain pintos, very good cole slaw. Wonderful sweet tea! What's BBQ without sweet tea! Definitely will eat here again next time we come through!? Very nice , friendly owners!! Loved it!! So glad we stopped.

Nita and Glens is a hole in the wall that is well worth the stop if you’re in town. Really and truly, it’s worth driving to. There’s nothing like a sliced brisket sandwich and a tall sweet tea on a hot texas day, and Nita and Glen serve it up right. Brisket was tender, moist, and flavorful. Ribs also had good flavor. The only thing on the menu I had trouble with was the pulled pork. Just wasn’t my thing. But man this is central texas, you shouldn’t be ordering pork anyways! Nita and Glen are some good folks serving good eats.

A definite must stop and eat. Ribs were so flavorful and good, meat fell off the bone. Even the Sweet Tea was made perfectly. Some of the best beans I've tasted in a long time. Can't wait to return and try the Brisket.

Small Town BBQ with a Big Time taste. Almost passed it on my way through and glad I didn't. The brisket was tender enough to cut with a plastic fork, the sausage was perfect, good coleslaw and beans and a nice big cup of sweet tea. If you're ever in the area it's definitely worth the stop. Prices were reasonable and probably the most comfortable booth I've ever sat in.

Perfect definition of a hole in the wall kind of place. It may not look like much, but the food is great. Brisket was moist and flavorful, service was friendly and welcoming, and the pie is to die for. This place is definitely worth your time.

Heads up! On west side of SH281 Just south main town area. You must look close, small signage, but if you find this jewel, you will thank yourself. It is, in my opinion, perhaps the finest BBQ, in this state! I always go for the "pulled pork". It is perfect. Better than perfect, as they serve with the meat juices of the pork itself. Well cooked, properly cooked, and "mouth watering". It is owned by an older husband-wife team, who seem to have the seasoned experience to provide BBQ food at a level that is rare. The inside seating is limited, so if you have a bus load, then think about a "to go" order. As I travel up and down 281, I save my appetite for this fine establishment!

Not a lot of flavor like smoked etc. but was moist. A lot of people bbq. But it takes a lot of effort to get a great smoked flavor, meaning a wow factor. It was just ok, probably won't go back.

Great place! Super friendly owners. The food came out fast. Chopped brisket sandwich was flavorful and big. Got the deal with chips and a drink. Hubby got the pulled pork - which was equally delicious. Pecan pie was gooey and fresh. Definitely a good stop in the area, especially if you like supporting small businesses.

Me and some of my friends we out riding and looking for lunch. Stumbled on the place. The atmosphere is amazing these people are incredibly friendly. The food is great. If you visit Hamilton you eat barbecue here.

SO GOOD!!! Passing by, I wanted smoked brisket before leaving Texas. They had it! I ordered a brisket sandwich with all veggies and she even gave me the burnt ends I love! 😋 My husband had a smoked sausage sandwich. So delicious! Blessed by this couple, felt like family. 😊 Sorry I forgot to take pictures, too impatient to eat! 😂

Happened upon Nita & Glen's on our way from Fredericksburg to Dallas and so happy that we did! A down home, honest, friendly establishment with excellent offerings. For lunch my wife and I enjoyed the Sliced Brisket Sandwich with the fixin's. Cole slaw and beans were great accompaniments. As we left, local residents were coming in - the best endorsement a restaurant could receive!

Tiny BBQ restaurant on the south side of Hamilton serving up delicious BBQ and fast, friendly service. Had a sliced brisket sandwich and a tea. Meat was tender and tasty.

So I think I have given this place a fair shake. This was the third time I've eaten here. The sliced Brisket is NOT seasoned and very bland. I will say that it was tender but you have to drench it in BBQ sauce for any taste at all. They only have one kind of sausage and it is not good at all. Most BBQ places have regular and Jalapeno but this place offers some type of pork mixture and it had to be drenched as well. This last time I ordered take out and there were no napkins or eating utensils in my bag so I had to eat sliced brisket with my hands. Above all this, the price for 1/2 lb brisket, 1 link of sausage, a small potato salad, and drink was $15. That is way too expensive for tasteless food. Two stars is all I can do.

We had the stuffed potatoes. They are stuffed! You wonder if there’s a potato under there. We wish we’d a sandwich or meat plate to savor more of the brisket. This is a typical Texas country hole in the wall with fantastic food. You’ve gotta eat here.

Sliced brisket sandwich loaded with well seasoned meat, pickles and onions. Meat is smoked with pecan wood which is a nice touch. I found it a little on the salty side but not horribly so. With chips and drink the meal was $8.50 and I added a potato salad due to reviews found online. They lost me there. Potato salad didn't appear or taste homemade, but I'm pretty particular about potato salad and don't care at all for yellow mustard which this one had. Meal came to $10 and some change.

Came down to visit grandchildren And children and went to Nita & Glen's BBQ for 1st time..pulled pork and brisket were fantastic, sides were great, and the buttermilk pie was awesome ..cant wait for another trip to Texas

Was driving through town and saw that this place had great ratings stopped in. Couple is very friendly and helpful with the menu. The brisket and pulled pork were both incredible. They even trim off the fat which not everyone does.

Every year, we take a trip down to the Hill Country from Fort Worth. On our way down, we always try a new BBQ place for lunch. We just happened to pull this place up when we were 10 minutes away and decided to stop. So glad we did! Some of the best ribs I’ve ever had. The potato salad and coke slaw were exactly as they should be. The stuffed baked potato was huge. The sausage had a nice peppery flavor. Nita and Glen are super nice and friendly. Will definitely be back!

A friend and I stopped here for a late lunch on our way from Dinosaur Valley to Austin. We ended up LOVING the brisket (sandwich for me, plate for her.) Most small-town restaurants close up around 2:00 PM; Nita & Glen’s closes at 3:00! I highly recommend stopping by for lunch if you’re in the area. Delicious. The owners are friendly, too.

Nita and Glenn make you feel welcome every visit, the turkey sandwich is out of this world. I've had better but this is definitely the best in town. Sweet tea is amazing, and it's worth stopping in.

Very good BBQ. Smaller BBQ shop with excellent service staff. The owner's (Nita and Glen) ensure great food on a daily basis. It's not a fancy place, but if you like BBQ in Texas, you will like it.

Everything was tasty and the portions were generous! We tried the chopped brisket, beans and potato salad, sides were very good also. Sweet tea was fresh and oh so sweet! The best of all was the good old southern hospitality! They were super sweet with my kids!
