I ordered a cake, sugar cookies, and macarons for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and they all turned out so cute and so delicious. Would definitely recommend! And April was so sweet and easy to work with.

Words cannot express how wonderful it was to work with this company. I reached out 2 weeks prior to an unplanned event, and they were able to deliver without issues. They took the time to dial in on our vision for a 40th birthday cake, and really put their all into it. My husband loves bourbon, and they were able to create a bourbon barrel cake with a peach bourbon flavored cake that was to die for. The detail of the cake was perfect and flawless, and we received so many compliments on the cake. We travel to the area multiple times a year, and will definitely be using them for our next event. The personal delivery did not go unnoticed. Thank you so much to the team for all of their hard work. We couldn't have asked for a better baker to work with.

Bonne Vie did a wonderful job for our family reunion. We ordered a three tier creme brulee cake with a beach theme and pastel colors. The cake was beautiful and delicious. We had a phone call consult, a contract and invoice, and then the cake was delivered to us. Overall a great experience.

Working with April was great. She is so fun and easy to talk to. We had a blast at our cake tasting. The cake was AMAZING! All of our guests loved it. She has so many flavor options it was so hard to decide. They all tasted so good. The reason why i chose Bonne Vie Specialty is because i wanted a cake that didnt have the basic flavors of Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry. I wanted special flavors. And this cake did not fail. I highly recommend April. You will not regret it.

My husband and I did an impromptu shotgun wedding with family. I contacted a few bakeries and Bonne Vie made a miracle happen by accommodating our short notice for our cake order. We had a brief consult via phone and she knocked it out of the park! Flavor was amazing, and it was a beautiful, yet simple cake like we requested. 10/10

I had a tall order; a cake for my 4 year olds birthday that looks like a real Red Snapper fish. And, another fishing theme cake for us everyone to eat. Can’t say enough good things about April’s cakes! She made our bride’s cake and our groom’s cake and they both looked and tasted incredible! I can update with pictures once the photographer sends some. We chose a layered cookie cake for the groom’s cake and my husband and I ate on the leftovers for a week because it was THAT good. I reached out to April for a cake for my son’s rehearsal dinner. I live out of state so could not come by for a tasting. I requested carrot cake and and told April they both enjoyed golfing. That’s it… and look at the art she created. Everyone at the dinner was blown away by the cake! Looked amazing and tasted like pure perfection. April provided 2 wonderful cakes for our wedding day that we really enjoyed! The wedding cake was exactly what I wanted! :) We chose her peach bourbon, salted caramel, and lemon raspberry flavors and they were all a hit. She even did a grooms cake shaped like a Blackhawk which my husband loved! Communication was challenging, but the end result was appreciated.

Our cake was beautiful and exactly what we wanted, the cupcakes and key lime tarts were awesome too and everything tasted as good as it looked!! Thanks for helping us have a perfect night!!

I recently ordered a cake from April for my vowel renewal in July , she was very professional. I had less than two weeks when I started communicating with April and she got everything I wanted. Sent the pic of what I wanted and she nailed it , everyone said it was the best cake they ever had including me and hubby!

The grooms cake for my sons rehearsal dinner was amazing!! She did such a good job, I almost cried when I saw it. He was really surprised and hated having to cut it. Thank you so much, you are extremely talented 😊

Ms April made these cute cookies for a bachelorette party. Not only are they super cute, they were delicious! She was so easy to work with!

My daughter is having a cruise wedding and wanted to taste cake flavors before she decided. Although, we know that the tastes will not be exactly they same, she wanted a general idea. We asked for five cake flavors. The bakery delivered the cakes to us. They were beautifully piped, the colors were in line with her wedding colors. The price was reasonable. They were a little late due to traffick, but arrived in a reasonable time. The driver was courteous. The cakes were delicious. The flavors were authentic. She communicated well. If i needed a wedding cake locally, I would use her. Highly recommend!

Edit: 1/21/22 | April reached out regarding the below situation and offered amends. She was not defensive and took ownership of the situation and offered a solution. I truly appreciate that. I want to first start by saying that in general I have a lot of empathy for small business owners and I’m not one to take my issues to the Internet as I understand the ramifications this has for small business owners. I understand how difficult it is to work with some people and will therefore try to be as fair and objective about our issues as possible. However, when you are in the business of supplying goods for people on arguably one of the most important days of their lives unfortunately the stakes are a little bit higher. TLDR: goods purchased were not delivered as promised. Communication was poor. Customer service was unsatisfactory. I will first start by saying that April is a very good baker. The cake that was delivered to us was elegant and delicious. After our initial consultation with April we were very optimistic about our future wedding cake and cake baker. She was >30min late, to support other comments on here. Given that my wife has an auto immune condition and is extremely sensitive to gluten and dairy it was very important to us that our wedding cake was gluten-free (GF) dairy-free (DF). All the samples provided during our consultation we’re all gluten-free dairy free and we’re delicious. Unfortunately that was the highlight of our experience. Leading up to the wedding there was very poor communication across the board. As a general rule of thumb I believe it to be a realistic expectation that the individual rendering goods or services should be the one driving communication for things as basic as invoices and updates related to promised goods. We unfortunately receive none of that despite multiple texts, calls, emails sent. We had to reach out multiple times simply to get an invoice so that we could pay for the cake. Secondly, a mere hours before our wedding reception I was contacted and told something to the effect of: “April is having a tough time with the gluten-free batter would it be OK to not have a gluten-free cake?” Given that our reception was only a handful of hours away I’m not sure what our other options were so of course I obliged. 4 bite size GF/DF samples were provided for my wife to taste her cake. That’s the last we heard from her. So not only was the cake we ordered not delivered. But there was no follow up communication with any sort of apology or reconciliation offered. I work in small business and believe that it is incumbent upon small business owners to be proactive, thoughtful, and solution oriented to run high quality companies. Perhaps that is unrealistic. However it would have been nice to have had a phone call or an email apologizing and offering some sort of money back and/or an alternative to make up for goods not delivered. Instead we received nothing in the form of phone calls or emails. I wanted to give her the opportunity to do that, but after a few weeks I decided to reach out via email. I sent an email expressing our disappointment. I thought the email was kindly worded and offered her the opportunity to help us reconcile the situation. I have yet to receive a phone call or an email since sending that over 10 days ago. I wish no ill will upon any small business owner and I hope at the very least this information helps future customers and helps April clean up her business operations. I think if she hired an assistant to help with customer relations she could have a very successful business. I wish her and her business the very best. But am overall disappointed with our experience.

Had a need for a fancy birthday cake on short notice. This wonderful lady created a beautiful cake and delivered to the house where we were staying fir vacation. Cake, and cupcakes, were simply fabulous as was the customer service!

This is absolutely one of the most delicious and gorgeous cakes I have ever had. We had a catered party for 26 people and April worked her magic on my husband’s 75th Birthday cake. Stunning is all I can say. Everyone was asking for her phone number and asking for a second piece The cake was so moist and the icing incredible. One of the best things about April is her communication. Such a profession and lovely lady. Five star service from the moment you contact her.

We traveled to Destin for a Bachelorette Party. Communication up until pickup was great. However we set up a meeting time to pick up the cupcakes and cookies I had ordered. As I’m arriving (5 min early) she emails saying she realized she doesn’t have umbrellas for the cupcakes so she’ll be about 30 minutes late so she can pick some up. Okay, no biggie we’ll run to the grocery store to pick up a few essentials. As I’m there, she’s continuing to email saying she can’t find any and asking if the store I’m in has any...who did I pay for this? About 45 min later we finally arrive to pick it all up. She was not very friendly. Not apologetic. She has the cupcakes in appropriate holders, but the cookies are literally laying in a flimsy lid of a cake box turned upside down to act as a tray. The umbrellas are also just tossed in there for us to put in cupcakes once we get to the house. The cupcakes and cookies were cute. The cookies were small compared to custom cookies here for more expensive. I was just disappointed in the lack of professionalism and how the cookies were presented to me. It was obvious she was doing this order very last minute. Not great for business with that presentation with no apology of any kind.

April does absolutely beautiful work and most importantly, DELICIOUS!!! We have several of her treats and cakes and all of it was worth bragging about.

My son and his fiance' let me know a month before our summer vacation to Destin that they just wanted to get married on the beach while we were there. I called April and told her what I was looking for. Without any taste testing and face to face conversations, she took my order over the phone and I blindly left everything up to her. Both the wedding cake and the groom's cake were delivered on time and were extremely beautiful! The taste was out of this world and more than I could have dreamed of!!! We traveled to Destin all the way from Houston in May to celebrate my daughter's first birthday with her Gulf Breeze family, and all I really wanted for her party was a beautiful cake. April delivered the cake herself to our rental and it was just what I expected! I worried it would turn out to be one of those "Instagram Vs Reality" cases, haha but not at all. The cake and matching cupcakes were not only gorgeous but also delicious! The cake is on the pricier side but my husband said it was the best cake he'd ever had, so it was worth what we paid. We ordered the red velvet cake and cupcakes so I can't speak for the other flavors. 4 days later and he was still eating the cake, lol... not recommended and something that we do not normally do, but hey he didn't get sick or anything, just really couldn't get enough of it. It was that good!

April saved the day!! My daughter's party was literally days away, and April was able to make the most authentic looking Harry Potter sourcing hat. Equally awesome was the fact that it was the best cake I have ever eaten... moist and the perfect amount of sweetness. April would give Duff Goldman a run for his money!

Cannot say enough good things about the Fairytale cake made by Bonnie Vie Specialty cakes for a princess ball that I hosted.
