Really enjoyed our meal here! Was hesitant at first because it is a counter service restaurant but so glad we gave this place a shot. The food was beyond delicious!! Can't wait to come back.

Excellent food, so fresh! Loved the Triple Tail, Grouper, house salad, fries and hush puppies. This will be hard to beat.

I recently dined at Fish on in Destin and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the shrimp po' boy sandwich, which was crispy and delicious. The sandwich was made with shredded lettuce, aioli, large shrimp, and ripen tomatoes. I enjoyed sitting outside on the benches underneath the fan and listening to the music. The sandwich came with two large buns and fries. The staff was attentive, bringing us more napkins and checking on us during our meal. I also tried the Blue Hawaii drink with rum, which was not too cold or overly sugary. I highly recommend this restaurant and am glad I found it just off the main road in the soon-to-be Publix lot.

In town from Chicago, GREAT FRESH SEAFOOD. Very affordable, I was with 4 other people, we did family style and shared different entrees and sides. Everything is exquisite! The Mac & Cheese is amongst the best I’ve had in my life, made in house. We met one of the owners, Billy, very friendly and has built an amazing establishment. Thank you for a wonderful dinner Billy and the Fish on Seafood House team!! We are here for two more days and I’m sure to be back.

My wife and I are here with three young kids for dinner. Blown away by the food, better than half the touristy places with 2 hour waits. Ordered multiple crab cakes, they were the best we’ve had in Destin. I ordered the shrimp and grits which had a gravy like consistency, also great. The Nutella creme brûlée was also great. Would recommend to anyone.

Reviews were spot on. Great everything all-around! We got the shrimp stir-fry, lobster tacos(phenomenal), and the sauté grouper with Mac n cheese. You literally can’t go wrong I feel like with your selection. We were beyond impressed!

Food was good but portions were relatively small by local standards.

FRESH EVERYTHING, down to the tartar sauce. Tuna salad isn’t even from the can- it’s made from grilled tuna from the Gulf of Mexico. Hush puppies have real pieces of corn. Quality is Amazing. Manager is very catering. Hostess informative and accommodating.Would come again.

Our new seafood eatery when visiting Destin! The family and I were looking for quality seafood for a good price and decided to try Fish On Seafood House because of the reviews and the quality, price and service were excellent! Not to mention, we didn't have to deal with the challenges with parking at the harbor.

Crab Cakes were delicious also enjoyed the Shrimp basket. The special Fried lobster taco amazing

Been here since 2013 and ate at top seafood restaurants in Destin area. This is by far my new fav Grouper meal which is unbelievable for my taste buds! Can I give this place 10 stars?!

The food was delicious. The flexibility of the staff and chef made our dinner perfect. I am not a fried food fan. I asked if I could have the shrimp basket perpared another way. The chef suggested grilled and opted for the home made mac and cheese. My dinner was plated to perfection and was delicious. It should be on the menu! The sweet grilled gulf shrimp and the salty, cheesy mac and cheese. I am rarely satisified or feel I got my monies worth from a restaurant. This restaurant met the challenge and surpassed it. And, oh the portobello fries are pretty awesome too. My husband agreed he ordered the Tuna and loved it. The sauce that came on the Tuna gave it a pop. Well done! We will be back.

Foods good, not what I expected though. I ordered the Shrimp Boil thinking it was like Cajun Boil but it ended up being literal boiled food hahaha. Mistake on my end, their fresh catch was really good though. Highly recommend the fresh catch

This is an order first then sit kind of place. My husband had the fish and chips. I had the fried fish tacos. It was really good! Made me want to come back for me.

This place was definitely by far the best place I’ve been to since being at Destin! Service was amazing, people were very nice. They listened to questions and were very helpful and kind. The food was just amazing. Portions were perfect and definitely filling, really worth it for the prices too.

I ordered the fried grouper with gouda grits as my side. I’m local and it’s some of the best I’ve had. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits. Both were delicious. The food comes out hot and fresh. So delicious!!

To quote my husband “Best Grouper I’ve had since we got here!” Only regret is that we didn’t come earlier in the week (as we leave tomorrow) so we could come back and try more!! This experience was not at all what I expected. Being from out of town and looking for a quick spot to grab some seafood. Was truly disappointed. When we ordered our food we specified that we wanted catfish and not Mahi fish. The server not wearing gloves touch the food with his bear hand telling us this is Mahi and catfish. The Mgr came we explained what we ordered took the food back and claimed they remade the order. They food was Luke warm and not hot. They rice was dry and full of ol bay seasoning to point that you couldn't eat it, the mac and cheese wasn't good at all. The only thing that was good was the shrimp...after reading the reviews I noticed that you guys only respond to the positive post but not to the negative. Be a little more transparent. Learn from the bad and the good. I'm not bashing your restaurant but for the type of service received and the money I spent I expected better.

Not what we expected … order at the counter and still pricey. Greek Salad, Blackened Redfish and Cajun Rice were good. Pistachio crusted grouper, chicken tenders, risotto, and Caesar salad were meh.

This is the BEST seafood place I’ve ever been to and one of the best restaurants in Destin. Before you go to one of those tourist traps, try Fish On first. You will walk away full and satisfied! Staff was very friendly! We will definitely add this to our go-to places to eat when we visit.

Whole family enjoyed the food. Large portions. We had crab cakes, fish and chips, peppered tuna, bread pudding and creme brulee.

Don’t waste your time with the popular on the beach places. This place is AMAZING! We will be returning!…maybe even returning tomorrow! Our small kids loved it and so did we.

This place is just terrible, prices are extremely overpriced for the amount of food you get. Additionally, we asked for cucumbers bc the chips were stale for the tuna salad and they brought it out and then told us it would be an up charge after, forcing us to pay. Place is extremely scummy.

Went in today and got 2 whole red snappers, beautiful, the Mac and chesee was really good and the fish n chips was decent, the girl in register was so sweet when getting our order it made the overall experience totally worth it, the restaurant is well taken care of and beautifully decorated, there's cheaper places in the area if that's what u want but I'd recommend checking it out

The service was incredible the food was fantastic and the manager came by 3 times to make sure we were happy with our food! If I could give them 10 stars I would!! Try the red snapper or pompano its fried to a crisp with a flavorful sauce that tasted like Korean bbq and Sriracha combined. The whole family loved their food. A party of 15 was in and out within an hour! This is a hidden gem!!!!!!

This is a counter order place with sit down prices. It is about the same quality as the other seafood restaurants in town. Good but not great. For counter order, the service is really good. Almost like a sit down restaurant. The decor is nice. The place is clean. Overall, a pretty good restaurant.

Walked in to be greeted by an amazing a young lady who took our order. We visited as a family of four and the customer service and food were exceptional. Restaurant was very clean. Portion sizes were great! Fish and chips were fried to perfection. Perfect spot in Destin to have dinner with quick wait times!!

Visited with five friends. Sautéed grouper was fantastic. Risotto was excellent. Service was friendly and fast. Manager checked on us twice. One friend had fried shrimp and said it was the best they had, fish and chips was mahi and was also excellent. Only improvement would be cole slaw. It was very bland. Excellent gem in Destin.

Just called and asked a question about oysters the gentleman that answered the phone was a bit rude and said they did not have oysters and hung up the phone while I was asking him another question I was going to try the restaurant, but from the sound of his voice, he didn’t seem too friendly and wanting to take any more questions so I guess we’ll pass on it

I used to find eating seafood outside while traveling risky, but this time during July 4th, I decided to give it a try. Our group of 10 ordered various dishes, and everyone enjoyed the food. The dishes are a little bit pricy. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was very clean. Overall, my experience was great.

You order as you walk in, like a fast food place, but being my first time I wasn't sure of what I wanted. There were people behind me, so I just went for it. The food was okay. The crab cakes were great. Other people's plates looked exciting. I ordered grouper over risotto. The grouper was perfect. The risotto was winey and still hard. Another order of risotto, at my table, came out perfect! Buttery and perfect texture. I think this place would benefit from better lighting, menus at the table and other options, besides fountain drinks, for a beverage.

DO NOT THINK THIS IS HIGH END, it’s a subway basically for seafood, we drive 52 min in traffic because all of the reviews were so high, not worth it

Absolutely two of the worst dinners I ever had. Shrimp and grits and seared tuna. Shrimp were drowning in a brown sauce and not edible. Tuna had so much pepper on it it your mouth on fire. Not edible on both dishes.….Tuna was not seared it was well done. So sad I was looking forward to some great food. It was take out so we didn’t bother taking it back. Just wanted to give All a heads up…horrible waste of money . 7/6/24

Delicious food! My husband and son had fish taco they devoured them before I could get a picture. We also got tuna dip appetizer that was Smokey and wonderful! I had sautéed mahi and grits and let me say was amazing and creamy! The coleslaw was unique and spicy! My other sone had a grouper sandwich with cilantro sauce. He said it was super good and the fish was cooked absolutely perfect! The food came out in a timely manner the staff was friendly. We will definitely come back!

We had been meaning to try this spot out and WOW! I'm so glad we did. Fast, friendly service and the food.... The food is phenomenal! I had the lobster and shrimp stir fry and my other half had the blackened triple tail with corn salsa. Perfection! Our house salad was plenty for two. Hannah greeted us with a smile and great suggestions (she also pours a fantastic cocktail!). You don't find employees like Hannah in this industry! We will be back and I highly recommend this fish house to anyone and everyone!

Blackened Mahi over vegetable medley absolutely slapped. Best fish I’ve had in Destin and it’s not close. As a bonus, there wasn’t a wait when other restaurants were at 2 hours.

Everyone was so polite and attentive. No wait to take our order. Took about 10 minutes to get our food. Everything was delicious and fries were crisp. We got the Sauteed Mahi plate. The kids chicken was a bit dry. The bread pudding was to die for!!!

Came here because of the great reviews, but this place fell short of that. Ordered the fish and chips which was bland and the portion was small for $21. The texture of the fried fish felt more like a chicken tender. The tartar sauce was the star of the show, as it made the fish taste better! I can tell it's homemade tartar sauce. Didn't care for the fries either as it was super bland and the texture was rough like if it was lighted breaded. My family ordered the cheeseburger which they said was okay and ordered the whole fried snapper which they said they wouldn't order it with all the stuff on it because it had Sriracha sauce drizzled over it and hoisen sauce under the fish, which wasn't known when they ordered it. Service was good and they were friendly and welcoming. The place was clean. I don't think I would come back again.

Excellent spot with a small menu focused on local seafood, but with the usual hitters for travelers with kids. We have been here a handful of times over the last few years and the owner is always around to ensure a great customer experience. Wonderful staff and excellent food, this place does not disappoint.

We were in Destin for a month and kept coming back to Fish On. The food was always excellent. We tried most of the other seafood restaurants such as The Back Porch, Dewey Destin’s, Boshamps, Brotula’s, etc. Fish On was the best, every dish.

Fish On Seafood is the best casual dining seafood in Destin, FL. May even be the best overall seafood spot in Destin.

Amazing food! The fried food isn’t greasy or oily. Whatever oil that the food is fried in you can TELL IT IS FRESH and not used over and over again. Now to the Mac and cheese 🧀 A MUST HAVE my 11 year old always complains about Mac and cheese ANYWHERE we go and this is the first time he actually said mom “the Mac and cheese is soooo good,” and as you can see in the pic he ate it all!!! The dining hall is very clean, no strong odors of any kind and the music 🎶 is jazz. Food came out very fast! Menu has a little bit of everything I mean, you even have a burger in case you’re not wanting seafood and the french fries were really good as well. I can say whatever you do order it is a large serving and you can order one item for two persons. Spent $161 (this included tip) and it was worth every penny! We will definitely come back!!

Best place I ate in destin, good work

The food is cooked to order. Not something that has been under a heat lamp. Kudos to the chef on the fried fish and shrimp being plump and juicy! Definitely knows what he is doing. The Tartar and cocktail sauces taste homemade (such a rarity for restaurants to take the time to do that). The staff is most friendly! When you stop in here, you will not be disappointed!

Wait staff was great and the food came out quickly despite being busy. I had the shrimp po'boy and cajun rice and they were both on point. I also tired the fried fish tacos and they were so good I got an order to go. I highly recommend this one.

Small proportions for the price.

I met the Owner of this restaurant Chef Giovanni Filipone, who told me he competed on Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen twice - ten years apart. Obviously his second appearance bore fruit, as Giovanni's two Mahi Taco's were excellent! Mahi Tuna with cubed tomatoes, Cole Slaw and other ingredients wrapped in two soft shells were a pleasure to consume. I'm on vacation from San Antonio so I don't know when I'll be back. Whenever I do, Giovanni's "Fish On!" is a must!

Walked in and saw the prices on the menu and the items were way too expensive for a simple meal. There was not very many people at the restaurant around 5 pm.

VERY tasty food. My wife, who doesn't like seafood, got the fish tacos and said she'd recommend them to anyone who doesn't like seafood. The fried Mahi Mahi was amazing, great hush puppies and fries, everything tasted great! Friendly and helpful staff, relaxing environment, and they have a discount for military! Came in with a big party for lunch. Counter person was helpful and friendly. My fried grouper sandwich was the best one I've had in a very long time. Super fresh and crispy. Fries were thin and crispy, just the way I like them. The smoked tuna dip was also dynamite. Kids really liked the mac & cheese. Only negative comment was that the bench seating was uncomfortable.

This place is Amazing. I’m visiting from Washington and I was looking for a good place to try something new and this place was definitely the best I went twice in one week. The food is amazing. I love the set up atmosphere. The tables and chairs are super cute. The staff is super friendly. The owner walks around asking how everything is super friendly. I highly recommend this place. Definitely coming back. I wish we had a location Washington.

Absolutely delicious! We had the specials of calamari for a starter and then the pistachio crusted grouper and the cioppino. So flavorful. The rice under the grouper was a little hard but that didn’t stop us from eating it as the grouper and sauce was sooo good! Ands the cioppino was FULL of seafood (mussels, grouper, clams and shrimp!) with the best tasting tomato sauce! A little pricey but worth it!! And the staff was really friendly and totally on top of their game!

Casual restaurant with fantastic seafood. You order up front, and then choose your seat. The crab cakes were as good as I had heard! Lots of choices for picky eaters, and great specials for seafood lovers!
