My wife and I went this Friday to Bowery Bungalow for the first time and we had an unforgettable experience. Since the moment you go in you can feel it is a different experience. The lady who took us to our table was really nice. We don't know her name, only that she is from Mexico. We want to say thank you for being an excellent host. We sat on the garden. Beautiful. The plants, the lights, the whole scenario made it such a romantic place. Our waiter was so great. He took the time to explain the menu item by item and the choices he recommended were amazing. Thank you to all the persons who work there. We will definitely come back.

The food was pretty good. Got the trout, cauliflower, and steak kabobs. The trout is not a whole fish, it’s a dip (like an artichoke dip) and was pretty good. The cauliflower was amazing. The steak kabobs were okay, only a couple pieces of steak and not very tender. There’s very few street parking spots and no parking lots anywhere near this restaurant, so I would highly recommend a taxi.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in LA. The flavors are modern with North African influence. Everything was cooked to perfection. We ordered the scallop, mushrooms, beef tongue gnocchi, and the cheese dessert.

This hidden gem is magical. You can't go wrong with any food items you order, and the staff is happy to help you find a wine to your liking to go along with it. The atmosphere is perfect. I really hope they bring back brunch, because finding out that was not a thing anymore was heart breaking. We gotta get that brunch back!

This is my favorite restaurant in LA. The food is exceptional- elevated mid-East, North African Mediterranean cuisine of the highest order. The ful medame is a must as well as beef tongue gnocchi and hen of the woods mushrooms. But really you can’t go wrong. I’ve ordered everyone on the menu. The service is soooooo warm and fun. Brian is a blast, he’s taken care of my twice now. And the ambiance is nice, constructed from a quant old home in silverlake. Parking can be a little tight so arrive a few minutes before your reservation. Treat yourself and go check it out!

Everything was absolutely lovely, delicious food, great atmosphere, super friendly staff. I had the spicy potato and the lamp both were delicious and big portions. Emily and Bryant was so friendly and super nice. This place you will like home!

The photo is the only dish we had that we didn't vibe with. Was just not very flavorful. The corn itself was bland, so if you didn't take a bite with the beautiful display of sauce/cheese, it just wasn't good. OTHERWISE, the Hummus bi Tahini was amazing. I LOVED the chickpeas. They were so crispy, and the gravy was amazing. The beef melted the moment your fork touched it. The rice pudding was also very delicious and not too heavy! Service was great. Atmosphere is so peaceful. Definitely plan on going again to try the lamb!

We tried BB for my partner's birthday dinner and came away thrilled. Among the veggie openers, which are larger than tapas, I recommend the babaganoush with shishito peppers, spicy potato with harissa (hot!), and roast beets with pistachio. For our main we had the cast iron chicken, subtly spiced and perfectly cooked. The cardamom rice pudding is a refreshing dessert, and chocolate lovers must try the pot de creme. Wine & beer selections perfectly complement the menu's complex flavors.

Went on a Tuesday early evening. A nice little bungalow. The inside had a cool bar, but I'd recommend the outside as it was nicely lit and a bit eclectic. First time ever trying beef tongue and it was superb. Can't go wrong with ordering that dish. Service was quick and attentive.

This place is a converted bungalow-turned-restaurant and has quite the vibe. Great place for dinner with friends in the dining room or out on the patio, or a meet up for drinks at the bar. The tahini toast is a must get! The crispiness of the sourdough in combination with the mild sweetness of the dates and the refreshing bites of cucumber make this dish outstanding!

I freaking love eating here and the service is one of a kind. They have a wonderful menu and you could eat here all day, the food is that good.

We absolutely love this place. Straight up, I’m not a fan of tapas: whoever invented the idea of paying more money for less food is unquestionably an evil person, BUT… the food here is just so damn good. We’ve been a half dozen times and while yes, it’s pricey, it’s worth it. From the inviting patio out back to the charming servers TO THE FOOD(did I mention the food already?) it’s the perfect date night spot, across the board. Also, I know this sounds dumb because like… they’re just potatoes, but don’t sleep on the Spicy Potatoes. They’re kind of life changing.

Delicious creative meals. So well made and delicious you will eat less than you think you will. Follow the recommendations of how much to order if you are not looking for food to take home. The cauliflower, ribs and lamb shank were exceptional.

Have tried to contact the restaurant many times about an issue - they simply don’t respond. Great food, but really wish they would look after their customers better.

Every single thing we ordered here was delicious and perfectly executed. I especially enjoyed the Heirloom Tomato Za’atar Bruschetta, Chicken Thigh Kabobs with Yuzu Tahini, and the Knafeh. The Lamb Shank with Pho finishings was a stroke of genius. I would highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine.

One of the best places I’ve been in LA. Small quarters but extremely kind staff. Food is indescribable, been here several times and everything has been spectacular.

My friend and I shared 5 vegetarian dishes for dinner. All were wonderful, but the roasted beets were fabulous. Service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We had a great experience. Indoors was rather noisy.

The food was reasonable but what kind of restaurant doesn’t have a high chair for toddlers. Hostess was obnoxious and clearly disgusted we’d brought our child with us. Spotted a cute restaurant across the street I would have way preferred to have spent the evening at.

Ive eaten here many times before the pandemic and the food has always been fantastic. My last meal this weekend was no exception but I was disturbed by a few things. Firstly, the owner has decided to serve a single filet of branzino which is completely unadvertised. Our server even told us other patrons were upset to not receive the whole fish. It honestly makes it seem like they buy frozen filet packs instead if whole fresh fish. It was very disappointing and we spent a lot of money only to leave hungry despite being assured its a lot of food for two. (Updating because i ate at Bestia last night and ordered the branzino which came whole and only cost $6 more than at Bowery. That is mind blowing. Bowery get your life right.) Finally a kitchen appreciation fee was charged. As far as I know front house and back house share tips. Many in the kitchens are receiving cash instead of proper payments it just makes it seen like the owner is doing fancy accounting to grab an extra 3% from the customers. Sadly, i wont be returning to one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood for some time now.

Every single dish we had was incredibly delicious. You cannot go wrong at this restaurant! The quality of what you get for the price is amazing. The atmosphere/ambience of this place was top notch as well. Great tunes and vibes!

It's holding hostage the greatest chefs in LA or something. Every time I eat here, my mind feels like I'm learning my senses all over again and should feels replenished. Service is spot on. Wine and food is top tier kind of food. Staff are kind and serve wonderfully. Cons: mosquitoes galore I'd say this is my favorite date night or nice outing kind of place. Steak is the best in the menu, a little on the salty side but when mixed with the Smash and crunchy greens. Flawless.

Not sure why I haven’t been here before after being in Silverlake for years. Yes, the food, wine, and atmosphere is great - and it’s not too expensive for the quality of food. But the thing that struck me the most is how the employees seem super happy working here. Perhaps it’s well organized or there’s a positive team spirit - whatever it is, the staff seems super happy, and I applaud them for their great attitudes and warmth!

Rarely enjoy every course - accomplished here. These dishes were extremely tasty. Hard to go wrong.

What awesome place to grab a meal! I had just hopped off a plane and was looking for a nice meal to pass time. A friend of mine recommended Bowery Bungalow and I’m glad I said yes! The food was incredible and the flavor profiles were extraordinary. I ordered 3 dishes, and that was a ton of food for just me. Totally recommend the Tahini Toast, Babaganoush, and the Seared Scallops.

I cannot stress enough how much I loved my meal at Bowery Bungalow. Fortunately, it was the perfect weather outside, warm with a slight breeze. We sat on the patio under the gazebo with a bottle of wine as the waiter brought out amazing dishes after amazing dish. Some highlights: the hummus with beef cheek and beef tongue gnocchi were unbelievable. The hen-of-the-woods and beets were also perfect light starters to get the dinner going. I don’t live in LA but each time I come back, I’ll be at this restaurant.

The food and service never disappoint here. This is one of my favorite restaurants in LA! The turmeric fried rice, branzino, humus and ribs are my top choices but everything I've had here is delicious. Highly recommend!

This establishment is one of those magical places that you come across and your life changes from such an experience. The food is exceptional, service is unpretentious and relaxed, while the drinks are a beautiful mix of beer and wine. If you want a true culinary journey, make the Bowery your number one stop.

A wonderful cozy little bungalow you must try to visit if you are at Silver lake. My husband & I have been eyeing this spot for quite a while and wanted to try it out. We finally got here while strolling the streets. The service and hospitality is outstanding, such nice people. You need to have a reservation for outdoor seating. I liked that its very neat and clean. We ordered babaghanoush which was so yummy (see in pic). We ordered the baby back ribs which was a popular choice and wanted to give it a try, it was good but little on the dry side because of the dry rub. Overall, this place has a nice vibe to it. I can see it as a growing spot for dates.

Lovely atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food. I ordered the beef shawarma plate, which was very rich, a large portion, and had a warm, savory flavor that lingered appropriately. The texture and flavors of the beef tongue, gnocci, and sauce combine together fabulously. I'm excited to come back and try more.

Wow - one of the best meals I've ever had!!! Had the Turmeric Chicken Fried Rice, salad, Beef Cheek Humus, the ribs, and Knafeh and rice pudding desserts. The food items just kept getting better with each dish they brought out! Bryant took great care of us and the vibe was very pleasant!

Wow! I’ve had a lot of amazing Lebanese and Mediterranean food over the years, both here in the states and in Lebanon, and this is place is phenomenal. It’s not quite traditional Lebanese food. It’s Lebanese food with their own signature twist. Everything we ordered exploded with flavor. There wasn’t one thing we didn’t like. I recommend ordering family style if going with a group and sharing as many appetizers and plates as possible. I highly recommend: 1) Baby Back Ribs. The meat just falls off the bone 2) Cast Iron Chicken 3) Fried Cauliflower 4) Turmeric Fried Rice 5) Lentil Soup I will definitely go back and try all the other menu items I didn’t get to try

So many wonderful things to say about Bowery Bungalow. Such a cute spot. It's small, intimate, dimly lit, and has a patio. The woman who greeted us at the door was so kind and in a great mood - we were 15 mins late to our reservation and we had no problems at all. We were sat immediately. Plates are shareable. For two people 3-4 plates is just enough. Food we ordered: Mini mezze - hummus has a great consistency and flavor. The feta cheese with the hummus and pita makes for a great combo. Wish it had a larger portion of hummus Chicken Shishkatori - the chicken fell off the skewer and melted in your mouth (in the best way). It was cooked perfectly with spicy yuzu tahini sauce. comes with 2 skewers per order Baby back ribs - meat fell off the bone. The Mideast Spice Rub. Turkish Coffee, Grape Molasses bring a unique and savory flavor to the sauce that the ribs. 10/10 would order these again I can't wait to return to try some more menu items. The service was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Great service and wonderful menu And great selection of wines with a Middle Eastern theme. I had the lamb sandwich in Pita and a selection of starters and my taste buds were in heaven! Go go go! 😀

You feel like you're entering someones bohemian bungalow. Low lighting and ecclectic design exude a homey with a touch of exotic vibe. Sets just the right tone for the food which mirrors that style. The food is comforting, flavor filled and beautifully presented. The sangria was surprisingly not too sweet and we loved the wine selection. Definitely returning and if we lived closer this would be our spot, no doubt.

the food, the service and the ambiance - were excellent! For a table of four, we ordered the babganoush - delicious, creamy and just the right amount of smokiness; the couscous was packed with fruit and veggies, flavorful and steaming hot; the seabas was sweet and flaky but, in my opinion, a touch overpriced. We really had a wonderful evening here. The service and attentiveness of the staff, could not have been better! Thank you :-)

We had been to this place twice already, so invited our friends over for our monthly gathering. They all loved the food and admired the atmosphere. The best way to savour the specialties would be to order everything family style and share, to not miss anything. We highly recommend this great restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful as always.

Bowery Bungalow offers an unusual combination: a country homestead space delivering mediterranean cuisine with eclectic music in the background (The Cure on the night we visited). The lighting is quite dim so much so that reading the menu could be challenging for some. The food though was excellent. The baba ganoush for starters was as good as anywhere (the middle east included). The roasted beets, smoked trout and slow cooked lamb also excellent. Recomended.

The amuse bouche of red lentil, highly spiced soup was fantastic! Eggplant salad with shredded veggies was fresh and delicious. The rest? Not so much. Beef kabobs were completely unseasoned. Beef cheeks were placed on dollops of mashed potato, not on gnocchi. Chicken fried rice was not any better than from a Chinese take out. Eggplant paste with chichito peppers just did not go together. Pita slices were very good. Kunafa for dessert was really good. We did not find the restaurant to have enough of a middle eastern vibe, if this is what the owner was after. Maybe baby back ribs was one of the better dishes. We also found the waitress to be completely ineffective in guiding the order. She had no clue how much to order and what would go well with what. So, looks like very hype and young, but it adds up really fast to an expensive meal. Outside sitting is very pleasant.

The items on the menu are designed to be shared, which makes the place perfect for a romantic getaway in the candle light. The food was amazing and the service very good. Only downside was that it was incredibly cold inside.

Loved this place! Every item we ordered was excellent and unique, a California twist to middle eastern food, so healthy and tasty. The ambiance was superb, super cute outdoor patio, comfy lounge area and booth/table seating in a small converted CA bungalow dropped in Morocco. A new favorite.

We ordered several dishes, they were all delicious , however the portions were smaller than I expected.

We arrived at 9:20 on a Sunday night a little concerned that their dinner service would be ending at 9:45, but the waitstaff was really friendly and helpful in making sure we got our food order in while not making us feel rushed. Excellent food that's full of unique, intense flavors. The four of us got the coffee rubbed ribs, the fried branzino, slow cooked lamb, turmeric fried rice, babaganoush, and potatoes in yogurt feta cream.

The Bowery has become our favorite local restaurant! The food is super tasty and interesting without becoming too adventurous it's just perfect! With great service and brilliant ambiance we'll back time and again. Big portions for a sharing style dinner.. you won't leave hungry!

A local gem! Longtime LA restaurateur George Abou-Daoud has nailed it, with an incredibly creative and delicious menu of truly unique dishes reflecting his and the area's rich cultural heritage, in a wonderfully home-style setting. Great value, too, with a very reasonably priced wine list, and the service excels as well. My wife and I went there with another couple that had never gone and all four of us can't wait to return.

We were celebrating a milestone. Six people, three meat eaters, one vegetarian, two pescatarians. Plenty for everyone. The fish eaters LOVED the fish that came in a little glass jar. The cauliflower was fantastic and the spicy potatoes were delicious. Our waiter, Tim, was the best. A really wonderful evening.

What a little gem. Drive by this restaurant almost everyday and always wanted to try it. Finally, decided to go with friends before going to a show. From the time you walk in you are met with pure warmth. The host and servers were very friendly and knowledgable. Simply quaint with an eclectic flair. The outdoor patio was a surprise since it made you forgot that you were in bustling Silver Lake. The food was absolutely wonderful and flavorful. Everything we had was exceptional. The couscous was huge and could be shared with at least six people. The beef cheek was so tender, it melted in your mouth. The saffron Mussels fantastic. Will I be back? Most definitely.

Our first visit to the little gem around the corner from our house- The blue crab poached eggs were superb and we especially enjoyed the goats cheese French toast. Our server was very helpful and friendly and we loved the eclectic ambiance and music playing. Will be retuning, for sure.

Yum! I had given up thinking I could get a really good glass of wine with my food in Sunset Junction until I FINALLY made it to Bowery this week. The food was solid (had a tasty though slightly cloying beef cheek gnocchi dish) and a DELICIOUS lamb "sandwich". Baba ganoush was tasty and made more interesting with a refreshingly piquant/spicy-ish addition of shishito peppers (NOM!). Bartender was super friendly, knew the menu items, and let us taste a few wines. We got one sip of a very tasty Cab they'd run out of (Sparkman from Columbia Valley) and tasted an interesting Pinot Noir (La Follette). A Malbec was good w/ the beef tongue, and a bordeaux was big and yummy with the lamb sando. WILL GO BACK.

The bad-Table was not ready for about 10 minutes beyond our reservation time, and booth seats were super uncomfy. The good-service was great. Food was good, interesting with some local ingredients. Funky atmosphere. Only wine and beer, not a full bar. Family style ordering. Cool Silver Lake spot.
