The food was authentic and tasted awesome! Service was lacking once you sit down. No one to refill drinks, I assume you have to get up and ask, but I didn't try.

What happened? I’ve been eating here since day one and todays to-go order did not meet the expectations. The food has always been very good and flavorful, but today I picked up an order resembling overly salty grocery store noodles😐

This is one of my favorite spots in the city! The moment you walk in, you can smell deliciousness in the air and they never disappoint. Since I'm still getting into Thai food, I always order one of their daily or weekly specials. Last time, it was the crispy duck pad thai. AMAZING. Atmosphere-wise, it's super casual and can probably use a little updating in the furniture, but honestly the food is so good that I don't care. As long as them flavors keep slapping my tastebuds the way they are now, they can count on my business haha. I have yet to try anything I didn't like, including the cocktails. The staff has always been friendly and I like that they offer to-go containers that are environmentally friendly. The pricing makes for a great lunch with friends or small outing with coworkers. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Aghhh 10/10. Truly the most authentic Thai I've ever had - exceptional spice is perfect (my son ordered "Thai Spicy" and it was unbelievable too). Budsi's does it RIGHT. We ordered A LOT for just 2 people - two spicy Upcountry style Papaya Salads with tiny raw crab and crispy pork - HEAVEN ON EARTH ... we ordered green curry with shrimp, the spicy flank steak salad, and the Khao Soi with a soft shell crab on top. From the flavors and textures to the amazing ambiance and the beautiful bar, I can't get enough of this place! Ya'll go check it out! Located on the corner of St. Anthony and N. Rampart, super cool vibe w/outdoor sitting if you like. Reasonably priced and GREAT service!

Family run Thai spot, we came because my friend had been craving it for a few days. Our previous attempts were foiled by the weather so we drove this time. Came for a late lunch but they still had a decent crowd eating and drink at the bar. We ordered at the counter for our number and found an empty booth. She got the Pod kra pow and I got the larb. She swears her Pod kra tastes just like what she had when she lived in Thailand. I'm not that well traveled but my larb was really good too. It's economical too, I'd come for lunch once a week if I could. Enjoyed it with my Japanese beer I ordered at the bar.

I felt compelled to write this review because of the immense impact the customer service at this restaurant had on me and my friends. I was visiting New Orleans last month for a wedding. In searching for new and interesting places to eat my friends and I came across this restaurant. At face value, everything was great—relaxed atmosphere, good music (primarily R&B), and delicious food. HOWEVER, after spending over $70.00 on 6 dishes. It was brought to our attention that every last dish we purchased was cooked with or contained shellfish. I’m allergic to shell fish. Upon requesting to speak with the manager in regards to switch out ONE dish for something made without shellfish. We were met with the most INSENSITIVE, CONDESCENDING, and PREJUDICE response from the manager on staff. She never asked if I was okay or needed additional care. She instead re-enforced their ‘No accommodation policy” as it pertained to allergy related food illnesses (which, might I add, was NOT LISTED ANYWHERE ON THE MENU; but instead, is written on a small piece of paper above the register— at a register surrounded by multiple hand written specials). Upon explaining to her that we missed the advisory notice and found the notice NO WHERE on the actual menu, she then in the most condescending tone replied “Well, it’s Thai food. Everyone knows there is shellfish in Thai food.” As to say it’s our fault for never having experienced a Thai dinning experience. If that wasn’t enough the manager then jokes about my possible allergic reaction by suggesting that I get shrimp as a protein for the replacement dish… This was the most unprofessional dinning experience I’ve ever witnessed. We were so shocked at the treatment of this establishment and felt completely un-welcomed. Our willing patronism of and joy in trying this this restaurant was shattered so much that we had to leave. After requesting the replaced dish and being berated by the manager. She then proceeded to stare at us from behind the counter… This was the final straw that told us that not only was this not a safe space but that we needed to leave immediately. So to that we packed our food up and left. Unfortunately we did not feel safe eating the food that was so graciously prepared by the chef of this establishment. I hope no-one ever has to experience what we experienced at this restaurant. I’m sure the food is delicious but we will never know because we were run out of the establishment before we could even taste it.

Not good - in exchange for lack of flavor they make everything way too hot / spicy, and not a flavorful good delicious spice, everything just had an aftertaste of heat that made my mouth burn. Spring rolls were small so too much dough vs filling and oily. They were out of chicken satay which seems very odd for a Thai restaurant and they did have other chicken available so why couldn’t they satay some for us..? No actual salad on the menu or greens available at all which was disappointing. The food came out in reverse order - entree 1st and then spring rolls which was weird…Service also wasn’t good, people weren’t friendly at all like other places in New Orleans it seemed to be an overall snooty vibe for a low end quick serve type restaurant w bad food, would not repeat. Some menu items have a little hot pepper emoji next to them - a universal sign indicating "hot / spicy". I specifically did not order one with the pepper emoji, so when my main dish came very spicy and I asked them about it, the woman in a very snarky tone said "you should have known it's spicy based on the name". I replied saying "it doesn't have a hot pepper on it" and she didn't apologize or try to be nice at all, kept a sour look on her face the entire time. Would not repeat nor recommend.

One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans (along with Dong Phuong and 1000 Figs) because the food is authentic, portions large, and food prep times short. Under Issan foods, the fermented bamboo salad ($8) and soup right above it ($14) are not recommended. The dishes are well made, but they are an acquired taste. The cashier described it as a fishy flavor but more it's more accurate to say its an anaerobic fermentation (rot, a similar taste class as many pungent cheeses). Cashier told us there was no refund and as an adventurous eater (locust, goat brain, intestines/organs), I thought he was exaggerating a bit. He was not. I took leftovers home and will eat it...probably

This restaurant was recommended to me by a close friend. The line was long, so I had my partner try to sit at a table for us. She was told to leave the table, and that it was only for customers who had paid. That was fair, but the man that told us to move was rude. He looked at my partner and I very clearly upset. We still ordered food, and the same man served us our food very rudely, not looking us in the eyes or conversing at all. We asked for extra plates and while putting the plates down he pushed them in front of my face. Our food was amazing for the most part, but when I brought my left overs home… I opened the chicken leg on my Khao Soi and was it still raw 😭 overall, the food was great, besides the raw chicken. The service was just okay, except for that one rude man 🤷🏻‍♀️ and I’m happy I didn’t eat the chicken leg whole cause the pink on the inside made me sick just looking at it.

My girlfriend and I are bartenders, even on a Bad day at the very least acknowledge your guests and let them know you’ll get to them. We ordered the Beef Drunken Noodle ($14.00), the Chicken Pad Thai ($14.00), and the Spicy Papaya Salad ($14.00). The dishes were really good! Everything was pretty flavorful and hot. The only thing I wouldn’t order again would be the Papaya Salad because of how small it was. I felt like they should’ve added a bit more to the dish. Aside from that, everything else was good. This is a Favorites local hang for Bywater and Marigny things can get very spicy. Royal pad Thai is unusual for the little bundles of brown sugar, red peppers on the side ready to be mixed in. It’s very good but I always find the noodles a little bit overdone. The salad with steak is excellent spicy delicious. The mushrooms are good. I don’t need pork so I can’t actually assess the pork dishes but it’s so fun to hang with the Chinese movies on TV over the bar. The bar gets a little loud at the high ceiling makes it hard to hear. But there is a nice Atmosphere outside on the side tables. Oh yeah don’t forget the satay and the egg rolls. The pineapple curry is delicious. There are a few dishes that are Indian in their flavors. and the sticky rice and mango is divine. Very popular Lots of veggie options.

I’ve eaten here many times and the food has always been very good! BUT the softshell crab curry over vermicelli with all the pickles and herbs was hands down one of the best plates of food I’ve had recently!!! Flavor/textures 10/10. Could it have been a littler warmer? Probably….but that didn’t stop me from wanting to lick the plate.

Haven't had Thai before but ordered the drunken noodles w/ Tofu on a recommendation from a good friend who lives nearby. The noodles themselves were very flavorful and had good portions. Other meat options exist if you're not too big on Tofu. If you are unsure on what to get, I highly recommend getting their drunken noodles. The interior had a nice charm to it. It reminds me of the inside of a pirate ship, minus the chaos that naturally comes along with that. As for service, it is not a typical sit-down restaurant where you are seated by the waiter and they take your order, etc... Much of those obligations are placed onto you, with the exception of having to clean your table afterwards. It is not a huge deal for me but I just wanted to put this out there for those expecting full service.

For second time food was sloppily put together and lacked flavor. The lady who used to do the cooking when they were a pop-up was not doing the cooking and those who were seem somewhat untrained.

The food is okay, nothing amazing (Banana Blossom in the West Bank blows them out of the water). The physical restaurant has a tasteful interior decor. The staff are nice and accommodating, my main problem here is the way they do service. The whole waiting in line to order and getting a number and only then can you sit at a table? Sure this makes sense sometimes, but when it’s really busy (which they are frequently) you can go in and make an order and then there is nowhere to sit after you have paid for your food? What? It’s weird and convoluted and blows for people who can’t stand in a long line for 10-20 minutes. Mostly it’s younger people here, and you can see why. I dunno, I find they whole thing irritating and makes me panicky. Last time I went it was packed and my two friends where putting in the order (we all ordered entrees) while I tried to sit at a table and was informed I couldn’t sit down without a order number tag. So I suppose if you don’t mind awkwardly holding your food while you wait for a table I guess this is your spot? Decent food, nice staff, convoluted seating organization, 3 stars.

Best Thai food I've ever had! Everything I've tried has been flavorful, even the wonton soup broth. The entire menu is fantastic, you can't go wrong. I'm vegetarian and I really appreciate that I can order just about anything on the menu, the protein options are tofu, chicken, pork, or beef for most of the menu items which cater to most dietary needs. My favorites are the Thai tea, pumpkin curry, pineapple curry, and the mushroom larb. Spicy here means 🔥 spicy 🔥, the 'regular' spice level is all I ever need.

First time being here with my oarents and h the mild chicken pad thai. It had that sweet taste to it. It's not bad at all. I give my dish an A in my hook.

Never had Thai food before. The food was excellent and brought to my table FAST! Within a couple minutes. Flavors were awesome. I can only assume they were authentic, seemed so after reading some online details. Music was loud for my ears but I dislike loud music so Im biased. Youd have to talk loudly to converse with a friend. Atmosphere is "its just a restaurant." Not a deal breaker for me cause the food is good. Service was fine and pleasant. Id go back.
