I’m not gonna lie. I don’t even know what I had as I left it in the hands of the mixologist. What I can tell you, is my drink was delicious and gave me some extra pep in my step, which was perfect for the mid afternoon struggle. Great environment. I will absolutely be back.

I just read the review from “Michael M.” who happened to help himself to sitting at our table that night he and his wife stoped by. After reading the scathing review, I couldn’t be more shocked. I think context is important. This couple, Michael, and his wife, were under the influence of something... his wife literally fell off her chair while sitting at the bar, and there was discussion among patrons whether or not someone should drive them home. Obviously he got home and remembered enough of his night to write a review that was both unfair and unwarranted. I’ve not often met a pair of people who thought more of themselves with a little apparent basis. Michael espoused — without prompting — how he was a spitting image reincarnate of the founder of the Presbyterian Church, a man who was instrumental in the slaughter of Catholics through the reformation of England — not someone I would really align myself with — but Michael was proud of his resemblance even going to the effort of showing everyone at the table both sides of his profile as means of affirming his doppelgänger status. Besides that oddity, he also left no doubt as to his self proclaimed mastery of chess — pulling out his chessboard tied to the Internet which he would use to battle those of obviously lesser skill set (if you ask him, of course). In terms of “offensive” materials or idols used as decor, the place is called “Burma Kava “ and the symbols are not only culturally appropriate for Burma and its people and traditions, but also make for beautiful decor in the most respectful and keenly stated manner. The irony of Michael complaining about misplaced spirituality while he proclaimed resemblance to a religious fanatic and enjoyed Kava (a spiritual drink from the South Pacific) to feel a relaxing buzz is nearly as laughable as it is hypocritical, to say the least. There’s just so much to say about this guy, and he’ll be talked about for years to come by the patrons who witnessed the folly of his arrival. Burma is the best place in Fort Myers, see it for yourself, and don’t take Micheal’s word to the contrary. I added an image of John Knox — if you see him around be aware of his mad chess game.

During my initial visit to Burma Lindsey, I was fortunate to have Lindsey as my server. She demonstrated exceptional customer service by providing knowledgeable recommendations for both hookah flavors and beverages. The overall experience was highly satisfactory, and I highly recommend requesting Lindsey’s assistance if you visit this establishment.

As a longtime kava and kratom enthusiast, we were recommend to check out Berma. Drinks are 3 times the price of any other establishment. The kava is watered down and causes no actual effect. Whether or not you are religious there is exposure to idolatry throughout the environment which can make it uncomfortable when the purpose of the business is meant for leisure activities. We ended going there after along day of work and by the time we left we left uneasy with built up tensions while being there. We’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a supposedly safe environment, it being significantly overpriced (40-65% over industry standards) the bartender spilled our drinks(broke glasses with our drink in it multiple times; seconds away from damaging my wife’s hand), and the general fake happy and uncaring attitude towards us seemed volatile. If a kava bar was ever predatory this is the bar.

Been coming here forever that it was time to make a review. This is a place we came to with buds but became our home. The staff are our friends, the drinks are great and theres an overall love for the work and people here (on both sides of the bar). Take care of the staff if you come.

Place is pure vibes. Everyone is super nice and friendly, even the other people drinking there. The outside area is super nice, they recently got hookah too!!

Overall the place looks cool. The vibe was good with the music. Pool table looked nice and other things to do. Didn’t know it was a hooka bar too. The iced peppermint chocolate coffee was really good. Will definitely be back with friends

Awesome atmosphere, great service, had a blast getting my butt kicked in the pool tournament this evening. Tonight was my second time visiting this Kava Bar, I came because my friend Kenny who I hang with and shoot pool with at another Kava Bar invited me and told me he thought I would like it. He was right, its a super pleasant environment, big bar with lots of comfy intimate spaces to relax and enjoy a Kava or Kratom beverage with friends, nice pool table, cool people, my new favorite spot! Bartenders Taylor, Amber and Lindsey were all super friendly and made me feel welcome! 🙏🫶💪

Out of all the kava bars I've been to in SWFL, Burma is by far the best. The atmosphere is so unique but feels homie, they have great events routinely, the kava tenders are always fantastic, and their drinks ACTUALLY taste good! You can barely tell there is kava or kratom in there. It is my go to spot to do any work or just chill. I appreciate everyone at kava burma and if you haven't checked this place out, here is your sign to do so.

Really great place to hang out with friends to talk, play board games. The drinks are very good. I recommend the watermelon Mojito with Kratom prices might be a bit high but they have a good happy hour from 12 to 2 and 5 to 7 definitely worth a visit if you are into Kava or Kratom, we’re looking for somewhere to hang out with friends.

Chill, friendly, and relaxed vibe. The bartender was friendly, informative, and a joy to be around.

Jack was my ?kavatender? He explained the different drinks they have and even chatted a while during slow times. They have a pool table and various different table games, chess etc etc. Putative area is convenient as well. Definitely a great spot to chill, open the laptop and work, read a book or meet some new people.

After a long road of alcoholism it is finally over thanks to Burma. I found my safe place. A secret hideout where I can focus on my work, socialize with amazing people (& Staff), & network. The owners Joey and Ashley bring a warm at home feeling! Support your locals! Shout out to the Kavatenders; THEA who is also a Yoga instructor, Dzeneta, Anna, Madison, Jarene, Alexis, Olivia(yogi), & Jack! They also have cool merchandise! Mitra on tap and cans Togo. A pool table & board games such as Chess. An outdoor chess. A courtyard. Everyone here knows me as Sal. Tell the staff Sal sent ya!

Absolutely the best Kava Bar I have been to. I got the Yogi Garden Watermellon Mojito with Red Kratom, and it was all I could think about for days until I could go back. There are comfortable seats, beautiful environment + clean. People are working, playing pool, socializing + the staff is helpful. The only problem is that it isn't closer to my house, but we'll worth the drive!!!

This is the coolest most chill hangout in all of Ft Myers. The staff and owners are truly accommodating and the vibe is warm and friendly.

The lighting, music, people and decor of this place all come together to create a perfect atmosphere for relaxing, working, and socializing. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable - one of my favorite spots in SWFL.

Burma Kava was great! Totally loved the atmosphere. The Batista was super friendly and and very informative about the various drink options. My drink was really great. I was in a hurry, but I am looking forward to going back.

Note: this is not a coffee shop, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised if you give it a try!! (They do serve brewed coffee, tho!) I landed here with my parents, never having tried kava before & needing lots of help understanding the menu. The guy at the front was patient, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond with explaining the drinks. Super comfy vibe, even at 2pm, and tasty drinks. My dad is now a huge fan of kava and plans to return. We met the female owner while we were leaving and she was really nice and down to earth. I highly recommend this kava bar! 🍹

Burma is an awesome place to come hang out and chill with friends or even to get some work done. It is beautiful inside and out. I love the drinks and the outside area to play giant chess is a great bonus. The drinks are delicious and the staff is friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend Burma because it will not disappoint.

The Mojito tea with kava or kratom is SO good and refreshing! Loved the ambiance, very peaceful. They also have coffee/nitro brew. Will definitely be making this my new reading spot!

Great people frequent this place, owners are awesome. Friendly dogs are so welcomed. A badass chiropractor and his wife runs the place very well and they have excellent quality of Kava, Kratoms, etc. But atmosphere is fabulous 👌 👏 👍🏼👍🏼

This is literally my favorite place in the entire world. Their product is fantastic and the most bold flavoring teas in the world. Krista the tender is so attentive and diligent and makes such amazing drinks. Not to mention, her personality is A1! Thanks to Joe (+1 more I forgot his name, sorry lol) the owners for guiding us towards her beautiful business! Much love for these amazing people. Go check them out and let all your friends know! Not sure if 5 stars truly describes the experience here. 10 stars would be the appropriate amount! Besides the atmosphere, tasty beverages, and the whole vibe being amazing. There is a one person in particular that I have to mention. Christa behind the bar is absolutely amazing and a true asset to Burma, not to mention, the whole service industry in general. I do not know a lot about Kava but I do know quality service. Her knowledge and passion are unmatched. I knew nothing about Kava and she lead the way with wonderful recommendations and even the history behind both Kava and Kratom. I highly recommend checking out Burma and making sure Christa is there to take care of you!

Really relaxing hip vibe. Both beverages I have tried so far were delectable. A little pricey but you can’t put a price on health. If you haven’t been I would say check it out I’m glad I did. Good by Starbucks hello Kava.

Wow! I Love this place. The decor creates an atmosphere that leaves you with a sense of peace and tranquillity. Will be back sooner than later.

All I have to say is that this place deserves a "drop the mic moment"! So much heart and soul has been put into this place that you can feel the positive energy just walking through the front doors. From the friendly staff to be extremely well design cocktails this place deserves a 10 star. I frequent every kava bar in town and I found my new favorite!

One of the BEST Kava Bars in town!!!! Highly recommend, the place is clean, drinks are fresh, and the kavatenders are so sweet. Definitely a nice date night venue. They have a whole outside patio with kratom plants! Taking photos with the ring light and Burma Kava backdrop is a must! Overall, an amazing place to get dressed up and relax at!

Absolutely amazing atmosphere, drinks, and customer service. My favorite kava bar I've been to so far.. and I've been to a LOT. The Silk Road Spice Market and the Rasperry Rickshaw are killer. Love the decor, every detail fits perfectly and was clearly well thought out. Will be coming back again and again.
