This place doesn’t honor reservation times. We were told to wait an addition 20 minutes past our reservation.

Loved this place! Miami Spice $45 deal, can’t beat that!

I came here for Miami Spice, and it’s a pretty fine place. I think if you’re looking for a place to go that has a nicer, fancier vibe in Kendall this would be a good spot. The service I had was great, the ambiance was good, and overall I had a good time with this restaurant. However, the food is pretty expensive for what it is. Even with miami spice deal, I don’t really feel like the price point to food deliciousness ratio makes this place worthwhile. Don’t get me wrong- the food is very fresh and tastes pretty good, however there are just a few things here and there about the dishes that make it fall a bit flat or a bit underwhelming to make me want to pay for this. I ordered the carpaccio, the corvina, and the tres guayaba. I also tried a bit of my partners risotto. Although all 3 are very fresh with a good taste, there is nothing too special about it that sets this place apart from others. I know that it’s supposed to be more “elevated,” but I don’t really see that reflected in the dishes. It can also be a little loud at times and it is a little dim. It doesn’t bother me, but I will just mention it in case that’s something that matters to you. We also had to pay $5 for valet parking, so FYI. Overall: Is it worth going? Yeah, I think it would be good to try at least once. Maybe you think it’s worth it with the drinks, art, ambiance, etc. I don’t think I’ll return on my own, but if someone invites me back I won’t have any issues with it. It’s not bad, maybe just not my style! But with all the restaurants in Miami, I think there are better places to pay for a fancier meal.

I went on a Monday night. It was so wonderful. Small and inviting. Great atmosphere and food. And the price for a 3 course meal and glass of wine was only $39. Where can you eat at a fine restaurant in Miami for that price?

The food is exquisite, it doesn’t disappoint at all, but the service was the worst. We only went to have a snack, and since we didn’t “consume” a large amount of food or alcoholic beverages, they started treating us badly. They never picked up the dirty dishes, they didn’t change the beer glasses, we drank beers in the same warm glass. Every time we ordered something, it took an average of 30 minutes. We had to get up from the table to pay. Obviously we gave them zero extra tip (the tip was already included in the final bill, bad luck for us). There are only 4 people who will not repeat the experience and there are 4 of us who will spread the word so that no one is discouraged from going to that “elegant place.” And you think twice before going to spend a lot of money because it is not cheap, so that they treat you badly.

Today I came here to eat dinner and my daughter ate a side of mushrooms she loves mushrooms then she looked down to eat one and there was a little bug inside her food I know it wasn’t really the restaurants fault but that was disappointing she was really upset also she ate pasta it was HARD also not really good so that is why I wrote this review so I do not recommend to eat the Mushrooms or the pasta

Recently had a Baby Shower for My Daughter at Cafe Catula. We were so glad to have found and chosen Cafe Catula for the event. The whole time Alex and his team were very amicable and bent over backwards during the set up. The guests raved about the food, the service and the ambience. The food choices were excellent and all were delicious and made to perfection. they were being brought out as they were being cooked so the food was not cold and at perfect temperature. I had the Vacio steak and it was the most tender steak I had eaten in a while with the same satisfaction from all the guests that had eaten from the other choices. They cut the cake and packed it in containers we had brought for the guests to take home. The event went without a hitch, between Alex and his staff, Balloons By Marielys, who was our coordinator and Balloon decorator we were able to enjoy the Baby Shower because everything was taken care of. The coordinators greeted the guests and were at the end ready to hand them the cake as the guests left. This will be our go to place for events like this again, I can't say enough them!

Nice lunch menu with many options.keep the good job

The restaurant is very nice and elegant, the food was very delicious 😋 and the drinks were very selective.

Parking is $5 valet or free for rooftop parking. Restaurant is on the first floor. Very elegant- almost like an art museum. Lunch menu is available. 3 course meal with TONS of options at two price points. Service is great. Churrasco on the lunch menu was excellent.

We had our sons graduation gathering with our family. We were a group of 24. The service was superb the food delicious, and very yummy drinks as well. Highly recommend for a gathering or just dinner for two.

Had pasta with chicken and sausage...so good! My friend had lasagna and was also great. Bread was served w a garlic butter and also a side tomato base "dip" servers were amazing and so helpful with the lunch menu for 20.00 including desert (had nutella crepe).served w scoop of ice cream..perfect size..also really good. Great menu w lots of choices. 2nd time here...Will be back for dinner menu!

What I like the most about Cafe Catula is the service and the atmosphere ....and the food ....and the drinks ....great happy hour ....

Second time here, similar experience. First, the parking situation is a claustrophobic cluster*#@k - seems you can count on someone parking a few inches away from your car here, no matter which space you use. Restaurant-wise, the ambiance is nicer than one would expect from the location, with low lighting and well-executed art on display. The host wasn't particularly welcoming upon our arrival. Dinner started off fine, with drinks and fresh bread. Prix fixe meals ordered were tasty, well-prepared, and a good value that included a glass of wine. The problem here is the service - once main plates were served, we went a good 30 minutes without any, other than water refills from the back waiter. The woman manager who took our order and was a bit abrasive only returned once during the entire meal. Her and her partner conversed at the host station and hung out at the bar frequently, largely ignoring the dining area except for a couple of larger parties. Had to request dessert from the back waiter. Had to request the check from long distance when the manager / hostess finally glanced our way after several attempts to get her attention. We had mediocre tapas and service on the prior visit. The place has potential, the menu's diverse and there's a full liquor bar, but there's nothing particularly special about it. Seems to be for suburbanites with limited expectations not wanting to leave the comfort zone of their neighborhood who may find it to be slightly more elevated than other options in the dreary surrounding strip malls. But, in our case, two-strikes and you're out. Won't go back.

Excellent atmosphere and great food would recommend any time!!!!

We’ve been reviewing places for 10 years and this is BY FAR the best place to eat in Miami! This has become our favorite restaurant. Been here a dozen times and the food is always amazing and service is above and beyond any upscale restaurant. Appetizers, entrees and desserts are always delicious and have a unique twist to your typical cuban/spanish food. Add to that soft live music and a legitimate art exhibit with paintings and sculptures. This place is amazing!

I love this place, I could go every week. The waiters are all wonderful. The delicious food. I have been visiting them for a long time and plan to do so for much longer. I hope they never change.

I read all the rave reviews about café Catula so I was excited to go. What a huge disappointment! First of all the lunch menu increased from $15.95 to $28.95 just because it was after the holiday, December 27. Are tou really going to charge and additional $13.00 to gauge your customers? My friends and I decided to give it a try anyway. I ordered the spinach and ricotta cannelloni, which came with an extra addition of a long hair in the middle of it. I was truly disgusted. When I informed waiter, he brought the manager over. I showed the manager the cannelloni with the hair sticking out of it and his reply was “I doesn’t know how that happened because nobody has hair like that at the restaurant”. . He told me he would get me another plate and I told him I was not interested. No thank you. When we got the check, the lunch entrée cost was taken off the bill, but they still charged me for the salad and the dessert from the three course meal which I thought was petty and showed poor customer service. No apologies were voiced either. Then the next day I went to grab change out of my center console in my car and realized that the valet had stole all my change, and a single dollar bill that was there. Cafe Catula left a bad taste, as well as a long disgusting hair in my mouth . I will never ever go there again nor will I suggest it to any of my friends.

I recently tried the Nutella crepe at this restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! The crepe was perfectly thin and delicately folded, with a generous spread of creamy Nutella that oozed decadently with each bite. Everything was great and I absolutely loved it, but I want to say one thing, the Nutella crepe with ice cream was quite possibly the best thing that had entered my body, and I do not mean that lightly. Truly it was a culinary masterpiece and quite frankly I just left and I’m already having withdrawals. Truly the best culinary experience I’ve ever had.

Sitting at the bar was a delight. Drinks made were very good, along with the dishes we tried. Everything we tasted was great. The service was excellent as well. Great little spot I discovered recently.

Went here Friday night with reservations for five. GREAT food and very nice fun atmosphere. Parking is forced valet, which I detest, so I parked next door at the Hardware store. Our waiter was non-existent, he would come around every 30 min, we even joked about it and put him on a timer... The place was busy, but not packed, there is no excuse for neglecting us... Cocktails, Appetizers, Main Course and even the Dessert were very good. FYI Chocolate soufflé takes 30 min so order when finishing your meal. Do not come here if you don't like LOUD places! My ears are still ringing... It is a little pricey but we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.

Very nice place , had not been here in years. Food was very good ! Wife and I ordered melted provolone cheese with Serrano and the tuna tartar as appetizer. Did not care too much for the tuna, quality and freshness was fine but it had somewhat of strange sweet taste, that I did not care for. We then ordered a fruta de mare linguine, which was very good , great flavor . Wife order the fried fish. This is a very nice place , has a full bar and is very comfortable with cozy low lighting. It seems the people who come here are regulars and they enjoy it . Prices are very good compared to other restaurants of this caliber. I recommend a try .

Hoy fui con mi hermano y mi mamá al llegar dieron la carta tenían un menú de Miami spice decidimos pedir de este menú al indicarle al mesero su actitud no fue la mejor, en el momento olvidamos pedir algo de beber el en ningún momento nos ofreció bebidas, cuando mi hermano le dice muy amable que olvidamos pedir algo de beber la respuesta de el fue que quieren pero con mala actitud mi hermano le dice que me ofreces y el le dice que tenían de todo pero con su mala actitud mi hermano le dice tienen margarita y el que si de verdad poco profesional la atención del sr Carlos De verdad la comida estaba rica,del menú yo ordene las croquetas,un salmón acompañado con pasta y una crepe de dulce de leche con helado de verdad su comida me gustó el ambiente estaba bonito siempre había tenido la curiosidad de ir pero no había podido y hoy fuimos por compartir por el cumpleaños de mi hermano pero la verdad la atención del sr Carlos no fue la mejor sentí que como no estaba ordenando tal vez cosas costosas del menú pues ya no merecíamos nos atendieran bien, creo que si no les funciona colocar ese menú es mejor no lo ofrezcas pero no atiendan mal a un cliente solo por ordenar ese menú. The restaurant was extremely noisy at lunch time. The restaurant substituded its regular expansive and more affordable lunch pricing for the Miami Spice limited and much more expensive menu. Very disappointing!

Been here many times recently went again and had to take the time to leave a review everything was delicious felt like you were eating in a michelin star restaurant. Quality of the whole snapper, provoleta and desert was 100/10 def recommend the prices are very fair for what your getting.

Cafe Catula's Alejandro, Erick, Michel and team, just delivered an outstanding experience for myself and 67 of my friends and family. The food was delicious, the service courteous and timely and the environment impeccable! PS: The piano playing by Master Baserva- Soler was delightful. Thank you Cafe Catula team for making our sons graduation an event we will never forget!

We absolutely loved the food and the service. A great place to celebrate special occasions. The crepes with nutella and dulce de leche were outstanding.

Food was OK. Service was horrible. This is probably why they automatically include a tip. We were seated at 220pm and finished our meal at 5pm. Absolutley ridiculously long wait between apps and meal and dessert. Would not recommend this place.

Es nas propaganda que otra cosa. Existen lugares más hermosos y de mejor cálidas y con precios más baratos. La comida y bebida super cara!!!!! La mesera se dedico atender mejor una mesa reservada por 10 familias que a nosotros que éramos 4. Por eso no le deje prácticamente ninguna propina. No vuelvo más nunca a ese lugar

Beautiful cafe with amazing artwork, it is truly a galleria. Great service and fantastic dishes. A great menu with raw and hot dishes. The server explained some of the dishes are a fusion between Cuban and Italian which works so well together. Definitely worth the trip and will return.

Food was good, but overly condimented.

I had never been here before and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the corvina fish and it was delicious. Several others in my party had different fish platters and they all said it was very good. The atmosphere is "old fashioned semi-formal", which means it is a good place to bring a jacket or wear those nice clothes that you seldom take out of the closet (but not required). They have a piano and I am told they occasionally have a live player, but they weren't there when I visited. Overall, it's a very good find in the middle of an area with few good restaurants. Dress nice, go visit, enjoy live music when they have it and have a good meal.

Cafe Catula offered amazing food and customer service. The environment is very clean and sophisticated. The appetizers are delicious and generous. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and attentiveness. Our main course meals were absolutely perfect, our favorite part was the coffee! WOW! Truly enjoyed our dine in experience. Thank you to the management and the staff.

Last night I celebrated my 67th birthday with family and friends (26 persons). The ambiance is good and elegant, beautiful pieces of art displayed throughout the restaurant. Yordi, who took care of us was attentive, helpful, friendly and lovely. The manager Richard worked hard to accommodate such a big group with a nice setting and arrangement. The food was amazing, everyone liked theirs. Thank you Chef. Highly recommended. Thank you for helping me to celebrate my birthday in such a beautiful place. Maribel Butts 1/7/2023.

First time today. Had octopus, escargot, ham and cheese tabla, wine and beer. The only item worth celebrating was the ham; all else, just ok. House wine was lite/lean. Ham and cheese tabla was overpriced, in my opinion. Might go back.

Good start horrible finish it was good when they opened lately gotten worst and tonight was the icing on the cake. Reserved and when we got there we were told all tables are full but you can sit outside which was so pleasant. Then since the start service was slow and got worse thru out the night multiple times we had to request others for service and the last time I had to get up and go inside and request my check and after realizing that even for a party of 2 adults and a baby they include gratuity which was $24 and totally not worth not even $10 for the bad service too bad we won’t be back!!

The place was outstanding the services was great, the food was amazing, we had the churrasco and it was perfectly cooked and very good flavour, the dessert was great it is a place in was it is it your outstanding and agreed atmosphere as well.

Very happily surprised. Small discrete restaurant with awesome flavors. One of the best grilled octopus we have had. Would definitely come again to try more things and would recommend. We need more places like this in the area!

First time to this restaurant. We tried the Miami Spice menu. Each selection had three three choices. Meats as well as seafoods. I chose the pasta with seafood that was wonderful. My friend ordered the snapper, also delicious. Food all served hot temperature, very tasty sauces . Good portions. Place very elegantly decorated. Staff friendly and attentive. Will return.

If you are not hispanic l dont recommend eating here because you will be treated as a second class citizen. In addition the management is extremely rude and the food is subpar and over priced. The owners Saul and Leida Hernandez when contacted prefer to take money from unsatisfied customers including automatic gratuities which are certainly undeserved for the poor quality service they provide.

Great atmosphere! The food is delicious and the drinks are spectacular. I didn’t give 5 stars because they only had 1 server on a Friday night and we sometimes we had to wait long periods of time to get our food and drinks but the overall service was good. FYI, the menu is 95% seafood.

La comida es buena pero demasiado cara. Te colocan un 18 % de fee por servicio. El personal atento pero en exceso. En mi caso le recogieron wl Plato a mi compañera sin yo terminar y me dejaron solo xomiendo en la mesa. Me sirven el café antes del postre luego cuando llega el postre wl café frio. En fin. Cosas de un personal atento pero sin idea de hosteleria la mayoria venido de Cuba. Local agradablw pero muy occuro.

Really beautiful place, with artwork throughout, including the food. My husband and I had just eaten, so we didn't get much to eat, just an appetizer and had a few drinks, but everything was beautifully presented. The ceviche was not only beautiful, but tasted exquisite. I would definitely go back and have a larger meal here and more drinks as well. The service was nice; everyone was pleasant and helpful. To see everyone work as a team was artwork in itself. Thank you for a great time!

I ordered on uber eats twenty five dollars for five average sized pieces of small raviolis. It’s cold as well with barely any sauce. Horrible do not recommend.
