From the moment you enter this place, everything is perfect, respectful staff and food are delicious. My kids love the Alfredo sauce. Highly recommended.

God What a bad place… what a mediocre service. A waiter who doesn't even know how to open a bottle of wine and another who looks at you defiantly. Damn if you don't want to waste your money don't go there. . Sorry for the manager/owner…save money train your staff.

This is one of my husband's and my favorite Italian restaurants - anywhere. The food is freshly prepared, the menu is comprehensive but not overwhelming, and the service is impeccable. We visit there frequently but have never written a review on it before. It is a small restaurant so would recommend reservations if you eat at the later dinner times. We just returned from Sicily and Caffe Portofino ranks right up there with among those we enjoyed in Taormina, Palmero, and Cefalu.

7 people for dinner at 6:00, best time to go. By 7 pm the place got busy. Great service, delicious food, a bit pricier than expected.

My first time there. Pasta with sauce made just how I like it with fresh ingredients. Prices are very reasonable. I would go back in a heartbeat 💓.

We came on Thursday night and felt at home. Incredible service from Tano, Daniel, Braydi, and Oswaldo. They ensured we had the best attention during our amazing dinner. The food is to die for as well as the wine and desert!!! I highly recommend you come in if you are looking for a luxurious experience!!!

great food, good atmosphere, wonderful service. I’ve been in this restaurant with my husband on Thursday night and overall we liked everything. What we had: fried calamari, carpaccio di manzo, veal milanese, veal Marsala(my favorite), zabaione with strawberry as dessert. Every member of the staff was knowledgeable about menu, giving big attention to our table. Again, every member welcome us with a smile Thank you everybody.

I had an amazing birthday experience at this restaurant. Ordered the pear ravioli, and braised beef with risotto. The food was amazing and the service was great. The music was also surprisingly really good. Overall had an amazing birthday dinner! Highly recommend and look forward to returning

Horrible service and prices were outrageous for subpar food. Nowhere close to real Italian cuisine in terms of quality. Charged me $52 for some sea bass with risotto (which price was NOT included in the menu), when I asked the owner why was it so expensive he said it was because the fish was really expensive lol really? $52 for a small filet of sea bass? Waiter was pretty rude, came up to me while I was speaking to the manager to tell me how my tip was bad , super unprofessional, you never tell that to a customer , never coming back to this place, and will make sure everyone I meet and asks me about this place I will give the worst possible feedback about it.

Valentine’s day was our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last. This place was phenomenal!! The food was delicious and the service was Excellent!! It’s hidden in a shopping plaza that I frequent often but never had interest in going bc it really never appealed to me bc of where it was located. Don’t be fooled, this place is a must!!

Outstanding dining experience! We started our dinner with a lentil and legumes soup. Following that I’ve ordered the ravioli ossobuco in which the traditional pasta shape in filled with a very tender braised ossobuco meat coated in a rich sauce and topped with sauted shrimp. Simply delicious! My companions ordered the veal Marsala which had a very fragrant and tasty Marsala sauce and the Red snapper paired with veggies which was very tender and also wonderful. The portions were very generous. Our wine choices were Treviso Prosecco and Costa de Bussia Barolo and just made the dinner even more pleasurable. We topped our dinner with a strawberry zabaioni. The staff’s service was excellent, courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly and we really give kudos to the management and its team for providing us with an unforgettable dining experience! Highly recommended!

Our fish was smelly, old and hard. No one liked it. A very disappointing experience. We all would not return. Our waiter was totally obnoxious and had a smart comeback answer to whatever we said. The veal marsala was very fair and the sweet potato mash was disgusting. The vegetables were 3 string beans. It is expensive for what you get. We all were so disappointed we wasted a night out at this restaurant.

5-stars all around! The food was delicious and incredibly authentic. My husband had the lasagna and it was incredible. I had the chicken Milanese and substituted the spaghetti marranada for fettuccini Alfredo. The chicken was pounded thin and was crisped to perfection. You could also tell that the pasta from the fettuccini was fresh, and the sauce was not too heavy at all. The service was better than 5-stars. The waiters were all extremely attentive and knowledgeable. We were not rushed at any point in our meal, which showed the true authenticity of this Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect. The lighting and mood were romantic but lively. All in all I can’t wait to go back here!

Really a great dining experience. The staff was super attentive without being intrusive. Menu isn’t huge so easy to make a choice. Had the special rib-eye with risotto, wasn’t super delighted with the meal. Will definitely go back and try other items on the menu.

First time here. Was hoping for gluten free options but our server explained the pasta had sold out earlier. My wife opted for the only remaining gf option of risotto. She was extremely happy. My veal parmesan was also excellent as well as the kids’ chicken alfredo. Servers were very attentive. We’ll be back earlier on the weekend to try the gf pasta!

Everything was just perfect The food and service was what expected. We went for our anniversary and our friend’s anniversary too. We really had a great time.

My husband and I came here for a date last night. The lobster bisque was delicious and different from usual busques I’ve had. Not too creamy! I had spaghetti frutta di mare. It is super filling and tasty. The tiramisu was also fluffy and light and creamy. Perfect dinner! Our only complaint is that the chairs don’t have much support.

Chicken parm was salty and tough. Cesar salad was small for $12.

The corvina carpaccio is superb! The chilean sea bass was cooked to perfection.

I’ve been going to Caffe Portofino for years. I realized that I have never given a well deserved good review. One word describes the service, ambiance and Food……AMAZING. They have never failed me. Every single “soup of the day” is exquisite. Their daily specials are carefully thought out and their waiters explain them in detail. You will never have a bad experience. They will always try to accommodate you when you don’t have a reservation but I highly recommend . Don’t be discouraged if open table says no table is available. Go anyway. They accommodate as much as possible

Braydy is maybe the best, most professional server we've ever had at any restaurant in our lives. We always make sure he takes care of us, because he always remembers our son's allergies and what he likes to order. This time he tried something different, and Braydy still made sure that it was safe and that our son enjoyed it. The food was amazing, as always. We continue to recommend this place as the best Italian restaurant in Miami.

Complete hidden gem never would’ve guessed how amazing it truly was.

Food was the worst I have had in years! Sauce was literally comparable to Chef Boyardee. I’m so confused on how they get any good reviews when all 6 meals were terrible. There was a language barrier so there was errors from drinks, appetizers and meals. Chicken Marsala sauce taste like a Chinese brown sauce. The portion for a meal of risotto with porcini was $36. Point is we got a few jar porcini mushrooms and a side of risotto for $36??? It was not a meal to fill a child and nothing Italian about it. Calamari was frozen and bland and I had a hard time to get even salt that by the time he brought it the calamari was cold. Just absolutely horrible food. The waiters were nice but nobody spoke English or very little that couldn’t get our orders correct. We couldn’t believe that people were walking in to come in to eat…😳 if you want good Italian try Ana Capri on 138 st and US1. Owner Giuseppe very friendly and fantastic food.

We have dined here before, and usually make a point to visit when we go to Miami. My husband always orders his favorite, the pear Gorgonzola ravioli, with the amaretto sage cream sauce. It is the absolute best. I continue to explore the menu and have never been disappointed. I asked our server for his recommendation of a wine to compliment my entree, and he was absolutely correct.

Phenomenal food and service at this marvelous neighborhood restaurant. We go about once a month, and they always great us by name and have our favorite bottle of wine at the table, but unopened in case we want something different. It is a real family place. When the place is full, the sound of conversation gets a bit louder, but we’ve never found it too loud to make our own conversation difficult. The waiters are professionals reminding me of those in a top European restaurant.

Fuimos súper recomendados por amistades, esperando poder degustar una deliciosa cena. En el inicio el mesero no fue el más amable, hicimos preguntas del menú y el mesero nos dijo que en el menú lo explicaba, al parecer la noche estaba muy busy, luego tratamos de ser más amables para suavizar la actitud del Sr Crespo y mejoró un poco. Al hacer la orden preguntamos por Spaguetti carbonara y fuimos informados que no está en el menú, solo en algunos días en el menú especial, algo extraño para un restaurante italiano, nos decidimos por lasagna la cual estaba algo fría por dentro, al final de la noche nos trajeron la cuenta y “DESAFORTUNADAMENTE” mi esposo supuso que el TIP estaba incluido y para nuestra desfortuna le dijo a nuestro amigo que ya estaba incluido y el no dio ninguna propina adicional, mi esposo si dio un adicional pero no lo suficiente y fuimos reclamados por el Sr Crespo si había algún problema con el servicio de una manera grosera, pues un error lo puede cometer cualquiera y más con la escasa luz que tiene el restaurante en el cual la gran mayoría deben acudir a sus teléfonos para poder ver el menú, conclusión pésima experiencia!

Fuimos 2 parejas y desde el principio la atencion fue algo rara parecia que el mesero estaba de afan, preguntamos por algunos platos y su respuesta fue que estaba en el menú, cuando uno pide por esa ayuda es porque quiere conocer un pocomas de la descripción del plato. Mi amiga y yo pedimos lasagna y vino fria, mi espsos pidio una cerveza y no la trajeron porque esraban calientes, cuando ya casi nos ibamos llego el mesero con la cerveza y mi esposo ya no la queria pues ya habiamos terminando y rl holbre tambien se enojo pero la creza del pastel fue cuando llego la hora de pagar la cuenta el esposo de mi amiga fue quien la leyo, mi esposo le pregunto que si venia la propina incluida y el le dijo que si, obviamente porque pensó que si, se equivoco vuando la leyo , vio tax y creyo q era tip , es mas el pensaba q le estabanda dando extra propina entonces mi esposo no lleno la propina. Cuando vamos saliendo del restaurante viene este mesero en una actitud de que porque no habiamos dejado propina pero casi con la pistola afuera, y quedamos confundidos porque pensabamos q si habiamos dejado, pues este señor lo unico que le falto fue pegarnos. Nos sentimos agredidos y maltratados. Este mesero de.apellido Crespo debe tener un entrenamiento en atencion al cliente. Cabe anotar que el restaurante yiene tan poca iluminación que para leer la carta tuvimos que usar la luz del telefono para poder verla. Jamas voveria a comer ahi.

We love Caffe Portofino and looked forward to sharing with our friends from MA. The food was delicious as always. The server did his best considering there was a very large party at three separate tables. The noise level was very uncomfortable. Happily they left before we did so we could enjoy the usually nice ambiance.

Hidden gem in a plaza in Pinecrest. The service is impeccable; very attentive and accommodating staff. Food is delicious, sizes are proportionate and decent. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

All the reviews I read beforehand gave this restaurant a tough act to equal, they did not fail. My wife and I enjoyed the 2 salmon and beef carpaccio appetizers, both were very nicely balanced and tasted great. Ossobuco veal was very nice, the accompanying champagne risotto was spectacular. I had veal Milanese with linguine with vodka bolognese that was one of the best ever. They had some really impressive wines on the Captain’s list, the one I picked made this a very special meal. Thanks guys

We hadn’t eaten here in quite a while. Lovely dinner. Excellent grouper and Osso buco. Wonderful team work by Brady and his fellow servers. There was a large party inside that was very noisy so we decided to sit outside, which the team easily and quickly accommodated. Although the seating was by the parking lot, the music was pleasant and the location was not a deterrent. We will be back again soon, as this is a neighborhood gem.
