This is a great place to grab a hot lunch and a cold beer during the week. If you're a fan of local sports, this is probably one of the better places to catch a game. Great football fans and atmosphere. It's more fun than watching the game at home or even being at the stadium.

I was pleasantly surprised about this bar. Got in late and staying at the Hampton and was hungry. This place is right next to the Hampton. I was not expecting much but it’s a hidden gem!! The food was great especially the homemade potato salad! Juju the bartender is adorable!! Will def come back when I’m here again for work! Thankful for the great experience!!!

We were in town for the weekend and stumbled upon this gem of a bar. We had so much fun that we came in Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday for lunch before we headed home to Alabama. Great staff, great food, great drinks, great atmosphere! We loved the meatballs and red gravy so much that we bought some to bring home with us!!! We also tried the bacon cheeseburger and grilled chicken sandwich and they were both excellent. Love that they dress everything with fresh veggies grown on site! Carmel was so much fun and she is great at her job! Her bubbly personality is contagious! Mark was so nice and really makes the place feel like you have been coming there forever. We will definitely come back next time we are in town!!

I pass this place almost daily on my commute to work and finally decided to stop by Saturday night. Best customer service we’ve received in a very long time! The food was the icing on the cake. And the margaritas were amazing. Definitely will be back soon.

Great friendly atmosphere for after dinner drinks. Although we did not eat, the burgers looked awesome! Walking distance (next door) to our hotel, Hampton Inn Metairie.

My friends and I had a great time doing karaoke on Sunday night. EVERY SUNDAY NIGHT, NOW! It's an inviting atmosphere to sing and dance around because there is no "stage" to intimidate people who are stage fright. It feels like you are in a garage basement doing karaoke, country like. Drinks are super cheap (like omg, just moved here from Cali, and I'm floored by the drink prices). I'm a career bartender, so I gave my bartender a 💯% tip because it was so cheap, and I think they only get paid a few bucks an hour in this state (which is bogus uugghh). She wasn't overly friendly or welcoming (probably because her hourly is worthless), but she got me what I needed. There was another girl there who was working (maybe owner or manager), and she came out to watch us, dance with us, and participate. They did have a food menu that looked like good bar food, but I didn't see anyone eating anything, so my fiance and I skipped ordering and just had a good time with new friends. We are definitely making this a regular thing. We had such a great time. They also have a shuffle board and a claw machine. I won 3 different beanie babies, and my friends got some bigger stuffies. We put them all over our tables; we felt like adult children. LAST THOUGHT: ALWAYS TIP YOUR BARTENDER, WELL! We make our living off of tips. I agree that you should always have an inviting and helpful attitude with a SMILE, but not every bartender is like that....just tip well, please. If you tip well even with an attitude, I guarantee you won't get that attitude when you go BACK to the bar to get another round. You have to earn your place, too, with your bartender. Let them know how important and valuable they are to your experience!

Best place to have a relaxing. With a nice surprise, their food is amazing. Get the meatball sandwich, Cuban, or pulled pork. I have had all 3. All 3 are great.

I finally decided to stop in and try the food here. The sign out front made me curious. What exactly is eggplant gravy? Smoking area in a covered area in front of the bar. This is exactly the kind of place I would frequent when I was drinking. A kind of hole in the wall place with working class clientele. I didn't work up the nerve to ask about the eggplant gravy. I did order the bacon cheeseburger, fully dressed and fries. It was pretty darn good. Friendly employees. There are gambling machines, a dartboard, one of those claw machines, a shuffleboard. There were several televisions on and all playing different sports balls games. The parking lot is kind of tricky. If you park in front, the only way out is via Causeway just south of Veterans where the traffic is all together to filter back on Causeway, or the service road and I-10. So be aware of your surroundings.

Classic dive bar done well. A little quirky in a very charming way. Food was quite good. Had the egg rolls based on reviews and they were very good. Had the Sunday hot dogs special and they hit the spot. Harley was very attentive and sweet.

I don't drink, but my friends who do love the outstanding wait staff and the excellent drinks. The food is excellent and the service is first-class. Support local businesses!

Causeway Bar & Grill is a hole in the wall bar and restaraunt. It has outdoor seating, gaming (shuffle board, video poker, pool table (1)) a tight bar area and food. The food is legit good. It doesn't taste like pre-packaged heated. The cook is a red head from Scottland and cooks Southern Food like she was from Louisiana. It's a locals place.

It’s like finding your favorite local pub in London. The food was spectacular (we ate it before I could take a photo! Wine was beyond reasonable with some respectable choices ($7.50 for Josh). We ordered the meatballs (beyond delicious) and the nachos (yes please). They said the egg rolls were the most popular item, so we had to try those also. They were my least favorite- a little blah to me - but everyone else loved them… so maybe it’s me, Egg Roll, not you. If you love a good dive bar like me… don’t miss this place.

Gotta say: this place is a hidden gem. Go TODAY! After getting booted from Harbor B&G (no dogs on patio, go figure) we ended up here. When we walked in I'm thinking bar food. My wife (Italian family) wasn't hopeful when they recommended the meatball appetizer, but DAMN! They were absolutely delicious. Then Mark (part owner and the guy in the kitchen) came out to talk to us about how surprised we were and then he shared a sample of their shrimp mirliton sauce he whipped up, and DOUBLE DAMN! If all places were like this... bar feel and outstanding not-bar food... restaurants would go out of business.

Cant brag enough on this place, I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries, it's better than the Swamp burger at the Swamp Room. Friendly staff and great atmosphere too, lots of cold beer. I'll be back next time to try something different.

In town for work stopped in for a drink and food. The bartender Ju Ju was effin awesome. To me a good dive bar with a touch of class. Beer was cold the Jager was cold and the wings were delicious. If I find my way back to NO I will definitely find my way back here.

The food was terrible, the hamburger is not homemade and the chicken strips are frozen from Sysco. The drinks are served in plastic or styrofoam cups. While I was there they lost another customers credit card and they had to cancel their card.
