Caesar salad appetizer was excellent. The main courses were ok, but not amazing for the high prices we paid.

Never been there but restaurants like these are under the assumption that everone knows what the.foods are. Have an online menu that describes the meals!!!

Fabulous experience bringing my daughter for a “date night”. The server was extremely responsive and thoughtful, food was great, will definitely be a go-to in the future.

I had my daughter’s bridal shower at Pastina’s and I could not be happier. From the food to the service everything was absolutely perfect! The owner Mike was so easy to work with. Everyone commented on how wonderful each dish was. Thank you for making our event so special!

This was our 4th time here. The staff is VERY nice and the place has a nice atmosphere. The first time the soup was good, the last three times- tasteless as if they forgot the seasoning. The barciola dish does not come with braciola as listed, maybe they should update their online menu. The chicken parm was stringy and tasted off, we threw it out. The pasta was "ok". The broccoli rabe dish was acceptable and the bread was good. Gave the place 4 tries because the choices in Delmar are few but will not return. Completely unacceptable.

We’re there frequently and the food is consistently excellent. Menu is full of well executed traditional Italian dishes. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Icing on the cake - prices are very reasonable for high quality offerings. We plan to continue visiting often.

Absolute perfection from beginning to end. We can’t wait to go back.

Friendly neighborhood restaurant

Excellent and quaint gem of a neighborhood Italian restaurant. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Food was excellent, flavorful , and carefully prepared. Definitely will recommend and go back.

First time visit. Nice atmosphere. Good food. Bread was disappointing- cold. Food was good, but lukewarm.

Fantastic food and service. Restaurant is very cramped though. Noise isn't too bad as patrons are aware of how close other tables are. Parking is also limited, but there is a lot across the street from the restaurant.

Trying to be fair and equitable here. First time here at this establishment. Very small with limited seating inside and out but food was very good ( quality & presentation), however service could have been better. Waiting time for drinks after initial order was longer than expected. Maybe they were understaffed. Not going to beat up this establishment understanding the current workforce shortages but that’s why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Other than that , a good eatery.

After seeing all of these good reviews we were excited to try this place. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to say the least. While my meal was OK , my one daughters chicken parm was over cooked and my wife and other daughter decided to order off menu and got spaghetti pomodoro, a very simple dish to make. Both sent it back due to tasting nothing but garlic. In addition, the shisito peppers we ordered were undercooked with no flavor. I am Italian and know good Italian food and maybe they were off that night but it was not good. Also it was extremely loud in there since it is small.

Still excellent food quality and, definitely a larger space, but it seemed a little cramped and kind of loud in its new quarters.

Wish they offered takeout. That would be a plus. Been wanting to try their food since they opened but the times that are convenient for me they are packed.

Just ate at Pastina for first time after they moved from Albany to Delmar. Patio wasn't open for the season yet but they seated us outside anyway on a beautiful evening. Appetizers, meal and dessert were all great and I'll definitely be back.

The food is great Italian. The service is attentive. However, the restaurant is small and is very popular so it is a bit noisy. Be advised that there are two sittings, 5pm and 7 pm. The wine list consists of imports from various Italian regions. I would suggest making a reservation.

It's every bit as exceptional as the recent Times Union article would lead you to believe.

I am almost speechless. That was by far one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was outstanding. The service was amazing. The best Italian food in the Capital Region. The seafood, burrata, proscuitto (cut right in front of you), everything, was SO fresh. Make a reservation and go here. I cannot wait to go back! Zuppa de pesce pictures below. We had an excellent meal at Pastina last night. Calamari with currants and mushroom polenta apps were both delicious (we wanted to lick the sauce out of the polenta bowl) and my zuppe di pesce was great with a light and flavorful tomato based sauce and an entire lobster tail… finished off with yummy desserts… highly recommend and we will be back!

First time here since they opened in Delmar. Busy night with no reservation. Lucky to get a table and the food was wonderful, great service.

After being referred to go by friends, we were real excited to try an Italian restaurant that’s in town. We were disappointed. Pros, we had a reservation and sat right down. The burrata was delicious and they had a good wine list. Cons, we didn’t like either veal entree we had. Milanese (one of my favorite meals) was soggy but tender. Pan roasted veal was overly fatty. Pasta was over cooked and too soft. Dinners and pasta just weren’t good or good enough. We really wanted to have a good experience. Hope we just had bad servings.

Had the best dinner here with my family. The ambiance is great and the service was even better. Courtney was our waitress and she was wonderful!! I felt like we were at a family restaurant in Italy. Quality is next level! Can’t wait to come back !!

New face in an old place. Much needed elevated dining. Very warm ambiance. Very tiny space, but they make the best of it. It states a 2-hour seating time in the menu. Single bathroom rooms him/hers. Plenty of parking. Small bar top. Accommodating to food allergies. Menu was excellent. Very fresh. Very reasonable as expected, pricing for the environment. Large portions on apps and main entrees. Food was truly as described. Fresh bread on the table before dinner. It was cold. Definitely could have been warm to feel a little better on the table, in the hand. Slice of butter was a large flat unique square, however that could have been a little more fun for the holidays. Appetizers were fantastic. Unique and classics available. Dessert was unique - multiple choices. Lemoncello parfait. Wine, small but nice selection. Wait staff was attentive, funny, and kind. They need dessert spoons wink, wink. If one is going to serve a champagne style dessert, the customer needs to get to the bottom of it. Can't wait to come back!

The best food we've ever had. From the sauce to the meat, everything was simply amazing.

Small indoor seating. Restaurant does not have a bar so they have BYOB but charge for corking. The restaurant was very busy so we opened our own bottle but was still charged $10 for corking. Food was OK but not the best Italian food we have ever had.

What a wonderful restaurant!! Highly recommend the polenta app - unbelievable and wonderful!! I had trofie pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe and it was excellent! The flavor of this dish was spot on. My fiancé had the veal parm and you literally didn’t need a knife to cut it that’s how tender it was. Delicious!! The best was the sauce they used for his pasta - it was good old fashion Sunday sauce!! Our waitress was so nice and even with all the tables full we didn’t have to wait for anything. She was great 😊 It is byob which I love so bring a great bottle (or 2) and enjoy!!! Can’t wait to go back!!

I ate here for dinner with family. Every dish was fantastic, from the veal parm to the penne bolognese to the halibut, they were all great. The dessert was out of this world too. I highly recommend either the lemon marscapone or the carrot cake!
