A wonderful alternative to the monotonous drive thru alternative. Fresh food and an attentive staff make this a future favorite.

Preordered and picked up the biscuit egg, cheese & bacon sandwich. You get 2 for around $7. It’s cooked fresh to order, and is really good. They cook the eggs they don’t use the freeze died eggs like a lot of fast food places. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting and homey.

We went during lunch rush...so okay, things are going to be slow. But my toast came out burnt on one end and almost raw on the other with very little butter and we had already waited so long I didn't have the energy to send them back.

Small sit down diner style restaurant. Great service. Good prices, good food, and appropriate amount of food, no skimping. Across from a Honda dealership so a great place to go rather than sitting in the Honda service area waiting for your vehicle to complete its servicing.

The only thing I have to complain about is you have to wait a long time to get your food they need more help in the kitchen. The food is really good, the servers are very nice. they work their butts off to please the customers.

This is one of our very few "go to" breakfast places...even though we are 40 miles away.....food is always good...best bacon around...and I have had my share of bacon over the years...staff is always friendly...even though definitely overworked...it can get very busy here but you wont be disappointed...its worth the wait...I do wish they had a sirloin option for breakfast...and wish we could get there more than once a week...keep up the good work lady's...

This place was awesome! The service was amazing as soon as we walked through the door, we were acknowledged that she felt so welcomed. Drinks were brought to our table, and then we ordered the food. It was delicious. Everything was homemade. The chocolate muffins were warmed up on the grill and so delicious. 11 to 1 they have a very special guest that plays music while you eat it's just so relaxing. A great place for breakfast or lunch. There are specials every day and the prices are just right. A must stop and eat place you will be happy you did we were.

Bad service... I stopped in a little after 9:30 and after waiting a few minutes, I gave my order to the server. I asked for one of their bfast specials and the server told me that the price for the special was now higher since it was after 9am. I apologized and asked for another minute to look at the menu again. Then the server walked back and started talking loudly with the coworkers, and as she passed by my table she said, "the special stopped 36 minutes ago. If the customers are going to whine about the prices, they can go to McDonald's." I wasn't upset about the price, but I was very upset about the service, so much so that I got up and left after that.

Good little restaurant with great prices. A little crowed at meal time and service slows down considerably. It's still a great little place.

I rate Charlie's at 10 out of 5. Best mom & pop restaurant I have been in (and I've been in hundreds). Open for breakfast and lunch. Great food, great prices, large portions and friendly. You feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. Like I said, Charlie's is a 10.

I always order breakfast from here! I have dined in, ordered takeout, and had delivery orders from DoorDash, and I've never been disappointed. It gives you local family restaurant vibes because they treat everyone like family. The staff is loving and kind, and remembers their customers' orders and the faces of repeat customers. The prices are reasonable. Sometimes, it can be a little crowded while waiting for food but you have the option to wait outside or in your car if you’d like.

Cute little place with great food & service!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. My family and I were traveling through the area and needed a place to stop and eat. We didn't want fast food, but we didn't want to take the kids to a place with a bar atmosphere, which unfortunately is becoming a growing majority. After finding this place and entering the door, we were immediately struck by how friendly and attentive the waitresses were, and it was obvious that they knew just about every customer in there by name. They made sure we had a table big enough for us, and gave the kids some coloring pages. The food was inexpensive and tasted wonderful. Nothing fancy or anything, just really good regular American diner food. This place was like an oasis in a desert full of fast food and bar restaurants. If you need somewhere for you and your kids to go, this is the place.

Love this little place although it may be crowded when you go since the locals know about it! Food is great and the prices are cheaper than anywhere else you'll find in Lakeland. Wish they did dinner outside of just the Friday night fish fry which is that only time they're open beyond lunch. I would be going alot more if they did!

This is a review in probably November 2022 from the Charlie's family restaurant in Lakeland Florida. It's very hard to find breakfast places in this area and this is one of the few good news is it's been here forever in the way staff is five stars plus that news is the parking is always challenging and there's not many seats if you come at many times so it's usually a little bit crowded which unfortunately is good and bad. Her breakfast order came out correct hot and average tasting not bad by any means just not fantastic however again the weight staff is a five-star without even trying.
