No pride in being a Chinese buffet. Probably cheapest of cheap food with a expensive price tag. Definitely not worth the money.

I'm not sure how this place has a 4 star rating. We went on a Sunday, at 6pm. The food was just not fresh & some wasn't even warm. I found plastic in one of the items. $17 per person and we didn't even finish our first plate. I highly recommend avoiding this place & just head on down to Lings.

I had the buffet. The mussels, rice, banana pudding, and shrimp was great! Great atmosphere and service was wonderful. I'll want to try the buffet earlier in the day; we came in the evening in middle of the week. I am looking forward to returning to try out the Hot Pot!🔥

If your in search for a nice clean buffet, then this is the place to go. Definitely a nice for lunch and you will get full fast lol

I was annoyed and mad when I wrote my last review, and I feel bad for it now. i was having a bad day. It was actually pretty good. They fixed my drink when I said it was bad. The prices are a bit much, but it's good for what you can get.

Very nice spot. Coming from Miami, Im used to Asian buffets being unkept and messy. I was pleasantly surprised by a decently sized and well cared for variety of food, clean and well kept establishment, and excellent service.

This used to be Mei Wei Buffet. It was $7.99 for lunch buffet. Then it closed and a hot pot restaurant replaced it and the price went up to $40. I think there were few takers and so the hot pot restaurant closed and Fire Spot appeared - $13 for lunch buffet. The employees are some of the ones from Mei Wei and still don't speak English beyond a few words. The young man in charge is a relative of the owner, I think, because he has an entitled and snooty attitude. Food is exactly the same as Mei Wei -- just more expensive. They spent a lot of money refurbishing the interior but they also have very loud music playing in the food area. We used to visit Mei Wei fairly often but overall Fire Spot isn't as good as Mei Wei so we'll probably mostly skip it.

We didn’t have the hot pot but the lunch buffet was wonderful. The food had great flavor and tasted fresh. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

This deserves a 5 star review this is very tasty and enjoyable went there many times and never failed my expectations and now they have a chinese buffet and a hotpot this is such a great deal and that fact its all u can eat would recommend

Good food good service Jin was great

First off, the sushi was.... different? It was a first for me to find a roll filled with canned tuna. It really set the tone for me to avoid it in the future. The rest of the buffet was a little sparse. I only tried the buffet and wish I'd given the hot.pot a chance, for the price I'll probably be back for it. The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming, which was the opposite of our server. The dude looked hungover or just completely miserable to be there. He couldn't keep our drinks straight or filled.

Pretty decent buffet. There are lots of selections you can choose from. The sushi is included with the buffet, and honestly can say the best sushi I've had from a buffet. You can add hot pot to your buffet for an extra charge. The staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant is very clean.

Besides the staff being excellent the buffet food is very fresh and tasty. For a bit extra try their passion fruit and other drinks from their bar. It really is a great addition to your meal.

We been there twice. Had a good selection. The thing we didn't like the main reason we wouldn't come back is, if I want the BBQ option, and my wife don't she was required to get it. Or me not to. Can't see paying for something that wasn't wanted.

everything was great until…. a roach was crawling on top of my table… i called the person over and she said they had someone there yesterday that she needs to call them again for extermination which basically tells me they have a roach problem then! and to top it off she act like it wasent a big deal and just wanted to charge us and rush us out the restaurant so they can hurry and take the next persons money… unbelievable!!!! never again!!! beware!!

This restaurant is fire 🔥 😋 The food was delicious. The variety they offer is incredible and vast. The service we received was outstanding. It was a great place to celebrate Mother's Day ❤️ They even gave out red roses. 🌹 🥀 BEAUTIFUL 😍 Overall, this restaurant is in a great location, prices are reasonable, and it's super-clean. Place is good. But needs some definite changes. Went here yesterday and told my wife's parents about it so we took them here today and was met with alot of frustration which can easily be fixed. The main reason for the frustration and the reason her parents will never come back is the whole table has to pick the same option. It doesn't make sense to me. Why everyone has to pay $5 more because 1 or maybe 2 people in the entire party wants hot pot makes absolutely no sense to me. And comes with alot of frustration.

This was our first time at this type of restaurant. Food was fresh and lots of options. Server was great and helped us all along the way. We’d recommend this place for a fun cooking experience

Best Korean I’ve been to in the States!

EAT HERE! You won’t regret it. Everything about this restaurant was fantastic. Friendly service, good food, clean establishment. A’s across the board. You can create your own soup, so many different ingredients to choose from or you can cook your own meats on the barbecue. We decided to do both for our first time. We definitely will be dining here regularly.

Ahhh, I loved this place! The buffet options were great, a wide selection, you can customize and cook it to your diet or preference, and it's also really fun! I had a great time eating here while visiting and would absolutely go again!

This hot pot and Korean BBQ restaurant had a bright, clean and inviting atmosphere. You can choose hot pot, BBQ or both. The set up is buffet style. All selections are fresh and delicious with great assortment of options.

The food was fresh and amazing! The staff was kind and always conveniently near us. The owner gave us a bottle of sake on the house, and I was given a little flower on my way out. How sweet! I definitely recommend this places 🫶🏽

The food here is good but the service is very bad. My first waiter who with very short, black hair that I had didn't listen to my whole sentence and interrupted me. She even rudely threw the chopsticks on the table in front of us. She was very rude. This is not the first time this has happened. The manager here should teach them how to treat the customers. Other employees were better than my waiter.

Super clean place & Amazing options. The waiter i had was honestly rude & unhelpful, also snatched the menu out of my hand and didn’t bother to explain the menu. Other employees were attending and helping me out more than my waiter. She didn’t seem happy to even work there. Although, the manager was kind and really helpful. Besides my waiter, my experience was great!

Welcome to “Club Hot Pot” - I have come here handful of times now and decided to leave a review this time. The atmosphere, quality of the food, service, and cleanliness has changed. This is clearly not a family restaurant, because the restaurant was playing what sounded like stripper music through the duration of our meal. Before leaving there were several other guests who arrived and decided to start booty dancing and shaking what they got to the raunchy music that this restaurant was playing. I could tell I was not the only guess who did not enjoy the atmosphere last night. Furthermore, I noticed that the staff was very minimal and the waitress we had was clearly overworked and frustrated. In addition, I noticed that the buffet was not clean and kept up with like when the restaurant first opened. I won’t be coming back here for a while just because of this experience. If I’m going to spend $120 plus on a meal, I damn sure ain’t gonna listen to Raunchy stripper music. So if you’re looking for a restaurant that is family oriented that you and your family can enjoy, I would highly advise picking a different one.

If you are into buffets and cooking your food, this is the experience for you!! We should have done hibachi style instead of bowels, but live and learn—lots to choose from: seafood, chicken, and the almost frozen meat shavings—$ 29 for each person's dinner pricing. I’m not going back; the experience was an experience. The wife enjoyed her Bobo tea, and we are both currently hurting. Best wishes to everyone here; if you are a Pho fan, maybe this is for you. Come at lunch and save a few dollars. The cooking experience was a fun new thing to Lakeland, though it was a good try.

The whole experience was a great treat. The atmosphere was pleasant. The service was the best imaginable. The food was heavenly.

LOVED this experience! We did the BBQ for our table, and were not disappointed by any of the options available. The buffet is amazing, the meats were all seasoned and delicious, and the service was so so nice. We did not have an empty water glass at any point during the evening, everything was served to us extremely fast, and our waitress even let us know when the fresh donuts were put out! It was very busy and we were still seated immediately on a friday night and it wasnt loud at all. I absolutely recommend!!!

Came here a handful of times and each time the service has been pretty mediocre, often times very rude. However yesterday our server Rick ( hope I am remembering right) was very friendly and made the whole hot pot experience 10x better. Ask for him if you want good service.

It's a nice place, good food over priced, tried to force charge us a 36% tip instead of 18 % hoping we wouldn't catch it. Had to take more time to fix three receipts. Be very careful of the bill here.

Came in with my family to celebrate 2 birthdays, we sat 6 on one table then 5 on the 2nd table which we only wanted hot pot for the 2nd table. We was told because the 1st table was doing both that we had to do it too. We had to get that straightened out because we didn't want to be charged for BBQ when we're not wanting it. The food and service was great, but in the end I received my check for just 3 of us and noticed there was a gratuity of $32. They charge 18% gratuity no matter how many people are on a check, even if it's just one person. Other than those issues, we did enjoy our experience there.

Delicious and fresh! The staff are kind and quick to explain how to do everything. The food is soooo good and yummy. It’s not cheap but it’s not going to break your bank because it’s all you can eat buffet. Totally worth it. Your greeted by very nice gentleman named Ray. Don’t miss out on some delicious food! Came to this place but I wouldn’t come back they overcharged a lot and if it’s a group of people in one table they charge $6 tip from each person, the server wasn’t enthusiastic she was mean muggish and had a dry attitude . Don’t expect to pay $30 your going to pay $40 to be exact

I stopped here for dinner. It was $29.99 for hot pot or KBBQ. I got the KBBQ. There is a large buffet selection of meats, toppings, sauces, and seasonings. My two complaints were the bulgogi is not a thin shaved meat cut, it’s a thicker cut of meat and they do not serve bon chon to you. There’s a few toppings at the bar that could be used as bon chon, it’s just something that’s so standard at other spots, it was strange to not receive it. I was excited to see that they had a Soju selection to choose from! I love Soju but can’t find it anywhere else in Lakeland. I got the Lychee soju. I did love the house sauce and the minced garlic was fresh minced in house and was so good!! I also loved the pork belly- fry it up real crispy! I did like that this place offers a melted better to keep the grill oiled and they place a piece of paper down on the grill that prevents things from sticking to the grates and burning. I’m happy we finally have Korean food in Lakeland and I would go again.

Such delicious food with so many options, there’s something for everyone (from fried chicken to frog legs!). Great value for the money spent. Hot pot is a whole experience and this place definitely delivers. Service is excellent as well.

It's an interesting experience. The food is okay and the experience of cooking it yourself at your table is interesting. Obviously the price point is a little higher on a place like this. And I asked myself was the price worth what I got in actual food?

I’m so glad Lakeland finally has a hotpot & Bbq restaurant. This place was a regular Chinese buffet before and it’s nice nice seeing some of the previous workers still there! I’ve gone twice and I’ve left with a full belly and a smile on my face every time. Great selections, awesome quality, and good service every time!

An update to my original 4 star rating: Visited again after a couple of months and love it even more now. Originally visited at the very begining when they had just opened and were still making adjustments, they have adapted and changed for the better (best)! Offerings are much more well rounded than before, adding more vegetables, kimchi/side dishes now. I also discovered the sushi/appetizers on the buffet which is such a big value-add for the price. Love it, local gem.

Way over price. Everyone at your table has eat same thing. On top of your meal, there is an automatic 13% gratuity added to the bill.

This restaurant used to be a Chinese buffet and after a long refurbishment, recently reopened as a Korean hot pot and BBQ. Have to say, the place looks a lot better. It's now very modern and looks very clean. All seating is now a booth to accommodate the sunken grill built into the table, along with the hot pot rings. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is still buffet style, but it's all raw and you cook it yourself at your table. If you choose hot pot, you can choose the flavor of the broth and then you boil the raw food in the broth. It's all you can eat, so they come around and keep your hot pot topped up with broth, but it's a generic broth, not the flavor you chose. The broth was ok but I don't usually boil my meat so I didn't really enjoy my meal. Grilling would probably have been better. At $30 per person, not including the cost of the drinks, it's very expensive for what it is. Basically it's just an endless bowl of soup that you have to cook yourself. If you choose to grill the food instead, it's $35 per person - no idea what the additional charge is for. Definitely not value for money.

It's a little pricey, but worth it if for the food and experiance. We had an amazing waitress, I've forgotten her name, but it began with an A. She and the other servers made the visit exceptional.

I don't give it any higher stars because I've been to places that had better meat. And better amounts of vegetables. I'm not really into seafood they had all the kinds of strange seafoods That's what you're into you'd probably like it. The broth did taste good I can tell you that. The service was kind and friendly. Just missing a better quality red meat like the one I had in Orlando. In a little bit more vegetable choice. They did have a lot of vegetables but it didn't seem to have what I wanted. What they did have was very fresh so I can tell you that. In order to win five stars from the they have to have better red meat

Hotpot / bbq $30 or both for $35. Good selection of meat, veggie, noodles, and variety of appetizers. Individual broth pots were nice so people can have different flavors. The marinated short rib for the bbq was marinated well and had good flavor. Would recommend reservations on a weekend
