Ordered 2 of the 5 for $5 meals and didn't receive the apple pies that are supposed to come with it. Luckily I was still in the parking lot so I went to the window and the girl says "oh we don't have any. It will take 8 minutes to make them." So instead of saying this when we received our order to see if we wanted to wait or receive something else, they just totally eliminated it. I told her I'll wait for it, she gave me a dirty look and told me come back in 8 minutes. If I had gone all the way home, I would have been shorted what I paid for.

I go here with my Grandma order. The ice cream caramel cheesecake Sunday. I order these things a lot. They gave it to me and the ice cream is like maybe a 1/2 a cup of ice cream. . I asked her to put more ice cream in it and she tells me the way the ice cream work. It's only 3 swirls. I pay $3 for pretty much a half a cup. Like I said, I get these all the time. Never ever have they been like this And then for the girl to talk back to me, I own my own company i'm in customer service you don't do that. Pissed me off and made me heated. So she tells me no it closes the window in my face like someone needs to make this right. This is not coil. I won't be back here if not made right

Took my money and refused service. Won't even answer phones. Terrible place ran by a terrible team.

Literally came home after work stop in and half my order was not in there and I live 30 minutes away

We ordered food and this is how they wanna send food to people this is how kids get sick absolutely ridiculous

They got my order wrong and the chicken bites were hard as a rock, the burger was crispy, and we literally had to throw it all away. This is a good place if you like bad food and wasting money.

I ordered $47 worth of food. I am not happy that my food came cold my sandwiches were soggy and cold and not wrapped properly 🤢 will not be eating here again. No way will my children be eating food that felt like it sat there for a good hour

The spicey chicken sandwhich is a quick filling option

Great for a late night hunger attack. Food is always fresh. The big fish sandwiches are wonderful and their seasoned fries are always hot and delicious.

Trash the food and the service.

The apple pie was cold so they made me a new one and got am extra one for free

I'm only speaking on the mozzarella sticks.. really good. Nothing compared to the garlic Parmesan cheese sticks they used to have🤤

How do you make a BBQ bacon mother cruncher without the bacon after I waited 8 minutes for it. It’s in the name….

I'm not sure if because we stopped there after 9 pm but we were so disappointed in the food. Hey and I get it everyone has good and bad days so I'll go with that.

Wow about I get served soggy not fully cooked fries. Cold and stale apple pie and the burger was old as well. Meet alone was definitely cooked over an hour or more before serving. It was colder than room temperature and charred cooked. Burnt hard crusty meat. I literally trying to bring back the meal uneaten. Then when I call to speak to a manager the line says busy everytime. Called last night and today same thing. Wow just wow! Contesting transaction with the bank.

Food was cold, fries were terrible. Ordered a shake and they decided to clean the machine after my order was placed. I was given a discount due to that, but I was not happy with the cold food that tasted like it had been sitting there all day.

Tafoiya did make sure my order was right and hot

Update- April 2024- So much has changed since writing this original review. This stores manager has completely turned this store around, the food is better, the orders are correct and the service is great. Behind every fantastic manager is a great team and it’s apparent with this location. Oh boy so this location's day staff are great but the night staff are terrible, rude, rude and rude.

Picked up a milkshake, and the syrup they use wasn't even mixed well. It was supposed to be strawberry, but it was more like melted vanilla with sour strawberry syrup stirred in. When I took a gulp, it was all syrup. I'll just stick with the fries next time.

Love it and love the African American woman that works nights there. She's beyond super friendly and she is an excellent cook!!!!

I know this was not real beef and if it was I’m not sure where it came from. The worst dried out ground up taste i ever experienced in a so called burger anywhere. Coupon or no coupon will not be going back.

Best fries ever!!! Their food is good and the prices are right.

I gave clear instructions. No cheese, no mustard and no lettuce. It took them 3 times to get it right. They were probably distracted by one employees friend who had pulled into the left drive thru the wrong direction. The driver was right by the window. The employees were distracted by that and the 3 bags of food that they gave their friend.

If your times state you are open til 1 and someone drives from 20 min away only to be told at 12:53 we are closed we dont have food made....this is a very bad business practice...change your times if you arent going to honor them

My experience was extremely disappointing. I placed an order through GrubHub and it took me an hour and a half to get my food not because of anything that GrubHub did because they sat there forever and waited on my food. When I did get my food the fries were cold soggy and just disgusting. I ordered no pickles on both burgers but I did get pickles for some that may not seem like a big deal (just pull the pickles off right?) But for others it's not that simple because if somebody has an allergy to them then pulling them off does not simply eliminate that threat. I'm very disappointed.

The last time I went there I spent 50 dollars on dinner for just me and my son. I get back to my house and I didn't have my burger. I called but no one answers. I'm not a checkers fan and now I like them even less

Imagine paying $6 for an old crusty mcdouble from McDonald's. Thats pretty much what you're getting with the fry lover hamburger.. save your money and go to McDonald's where you'll get a fresh burger and fries. I miss the old checkers, you used to be able to get the best burgers in town!

THEY ALWAYS FORGET SOMETHING ON YOUR DELIVERY ORDER ALLLLLWAYS, AND THEN TELL THE DRIVER THAT EVERYTHING IS THERE.

Well my food was disgusting my double fish was horrible burn and dry was like a corn ship frying old refried everything was back this was my first time drove home 7 miles to get this food got home and went back to store to bring the food back and staff was laughing very unpleasant staff at this location

We were standing at the window waiting for service and not one person acknowledged us they just kept looking at us and doing there own thing . Not very good service. Do better checker's

I think it's ridiculous that they drive through has a computer-generated voice to take your order. What about people needing jobs that are single mothers who need jobs to take care of their kids and you got a computer taking my order from my burger I don't think I'll be back it's absolutely ridiculous

Used the walk-up window and ordered. 2 double fish , 2 fries , 1 coke and 2 fried apple pies. All for less than 15.00 dollars. Sat and ate it.

Went an hour before close, they say the walk up window computer has been messing up, so they were only doing drive thru. Yet when I was approaching from about 50 yards, I saw someone at said window getting their order. I think they just just didn't want to make the order because they had an HOUR till they closed. Lazy *6 months later* I'm not going to this specific checkers anymore. They are always incompetent and NEVER make me my order the way I ask for it. Today (12-16-2023) I asked for the 2 doubles for $6.50. I asked for the double checkerburger and the double spicy chicken, both with no LTO (lettuce, tomato, onion). They gave me 2 checkerburgers with EVERYTHING on them! How hard is it to read the screen/ticket? I'm a cook by trade so I'll tell you, IT'S NOT HARD!

I work as a senior manager for a high paced deli and I am not the person who complains about small mishaps because I work in the food industry and I understand that mistakes happen. I worked a double today and I wanted a burger from Checkers. Five other fast food choices but my family chose Checkers. Preparing a large order that consist of multiple items and requests should not only be double checked by the packer it should be verified by the MIC. (Manager in charge). Triple checking an 80$ order takes two minutes and guarantees guest satisfaction. My dasher (while waiting for my order to be completed) reassured me via text ..sauces for our nuggets along with my request for ketchup and mayo were placed inside the bags...zero condiments were added to my order. My family and I spent 80.00 to be disappointed and hungry My burger wasn't in the food bags when it was delivered by door dash. BBQ bacon ...my medium vanilla milkshake was so runny and melted I couldn't drink it. Warm when I sipped it. So I went for my fries and everyones fries were limp,cold,greasy. So I didn't get anything for dinner. Disappointed. UPDATE: 10/12/2023 Finally received a response to my review. Seems my negitive experience was not a concern and only certain negitive reviews received requests "to reach out ....SO the issues can be resolved ti insure guest satisfaction. I feel my issues are easily resolved if I felt you actually cared. Your response was cold,and missing empathy. Just like my fries and burger.

Ending fast food place my first visit here. One drive up for app and web orders and another four regular drive-through. Half a dozen concrete tables outside with umbrellas, nice and clean. Small parking lot not designed for anyone to pick up and eat. Strictly drive-thru nothing where you can go inside. Food is regular fast food fare. Is okay, hamburger was the smallest thinnest one I've ever had lol milkshakes are kind of light and airy and heavily flavored, almost a bit too much fries were good, they were seasoned lightly

There ice cream we're rotten yuck not pleasant however the apple pies were amazing. And the young lady that spoke with was kind and refunded my money.

Needs either more staff or better staff. Drive thru takes too long and I'm patient.

Just bought 17 dollars worth of food just to throw everything away.. I had a big Buford with hair on it and you can see the root of it… stale lettuce and tomatoes on top of it as well.. called the store to let them know but no answer after calling them several times.. this checkers is very unsanitary.

It’s a checkers, you eat here cause you need something filling end quick! Upside is you’re satisfied, and it tastes great, downside is you hate yourself afterwards!

Loved the Deep Sea Double and their fries. Tried something different this time, the Big Buford. Very tasty.

I've tried this location twice and won't be back. The cooking oil tastes over used and overwhelms the taste of the food.

Ordered burgers and fries for dinner. About $25 total. Standing at the pickup window nobody would even look at you. So after several minutes I go back to the order window where my entire order had been left without anyone telling me. This was some of the most dry and cold food I have ever had. Absolutely disgusting. Calls and emails unanswered.

This is literally the best checkers I have been to in Marion county. Literally. Just had an issue with me not seeing the menu correct and the manager was so polite and even fixed my issue. No fuss or attitude which is rare these days.

Checkers, burgers, fish, and fries are usually good. This year, so far, I have encountered good experiences with the food. Everything has been freshly cooked. I have only visited drive-thru services. The one thing I do not like is interacting with a computer. For that reason, I deducted one star. I felt much better once I reached the window and was greeted by a live person.

I am not a person who prides myself in leaving low ratings, nor negative comments about any food establishment as I am a foodie. However in regards to this particular visit, the food was half wrapped and coming out of the wrappers into the bag, the food was hot yes, but presentation was not up to par. I had asked for a few dipping sauces as my son enjoys them, and got 1 honey mustard and 1 BBQ for an order for 4 people. The employee seemed to have an issue with my request for additional sauces. I recently moved from the Tampa area to Ocala, and the checkers there service is nicer. I am a believer in second chances, I will in the future try again. However after two chances if this services happens again my family and I will not be back to this location.

The person working the drive up shorted the cash due back to me by $3. My total was $5.55 and gave her $10.75. She should have returned$5.20. Instead she gave back $2.20. I'm not certain how one can make that mistake. However I've been noticing it a lot lately. It's almost as if it may be the latest in scams. Count your change and "mistakes such as this should be addressed.

Just go and get a large Buford combo, 4 of the 2 for 4.50 deals and a chedda Buford. And and xl $6 fry ..Was almost $40 and I get home (only 5 miles). Every burger was old and cold… the xl was NOT XL. And the fries were cold too… not one thing was good and it all was old and cold…

The food was to be expected (no complaints) but the service at the speaker was a computer and really weird. Then the kid at the window didn't say a word either. Literally not one. It was an unpleasant visit.

Update; My husband and I re-visited this location to try and give them another chance of 6/19. WHAT A MISTAKE! While I will say the staff was very friendly, the food was disgusting! We stupidly saw that our fries were fresh and hot and assumed/hoped the sandwiched would be fresh as well. WRONG! We had to drive 15 minutes back to this location to have them remake the order because once again the beef patties and chicken patties were literally inedible. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS LOCATION. Staff was rude, chicken patties were absolutely HORRID, it was pretty obvious both the fries and the chicken were dropped a second time to heat up because both were oil logged and burnt. And the lettuce and tomatoes on the chicken sandwich smelt sour and had to be wiped off and thrown in the trash. Truly the WORST food experience I've have in a very long time.

I never thought that checkers would be a place that I would eat. But it ended up being one of the best burgers in a fast food restaurant that I've ever had in the fries were phenomenal. Everything was fresh and hot. It was so good.

The white girl with all the makeup on was rude as ever. You thought we wanted large drinks and not fries. Then charge us for it and ask for cash not a card. THE WORST PLACE EVER…

I’m not one to complain or write a review. But after ordering and spending over 17.00 dollars on a big Buford meal large drink & fries & a large shake. Wasn’t busy I mean I was the only one there it took 10 minutes to get my order burger was dry and cold fries were over cooked. Very disappointed.

Ordered small fry, cheese sticks and a drink. Pretty simple, girl at the window was overwhelmed, new? Received a burger cry and diff drink. Manager interjected and fixed my order quickly

Usually everything goes well but today, they weren't busy at all but my order took 10 minutes and after stating several times while ordering NO CHEESE they still put it on BOTH sandwiches. Who puts cheese on a spicy chicken anyway? Always check your order before you leave, my fault today. The ice cream is always very good if they haven't run out and beats other places ice cream for flavor and price.

Never in my life did I think that I would order at a drive thru and there would be a automated voice taking my order! It wasn't successful either I had to tell them I had a coupon and clarify my whole order over again. They were nice about it but a manager had to be called too. All because they have an automated AI taking orders. That's replacing a job a person could be doing. It was Weird and frustrating!
