I didn't know this place was in the rest stop but the food and staff are great. Rich was running around taking orders, working the register, and making sandwiches like no big deal.

Had a great grilled cheese served by one of the most friendly and helpful food service employees I've met in years. I got the one with onions and fig jam - thankfully I was able to sub out the cheese because goat cheese is gross. Definitely a great rest stop option!

Avoid at all costs. I have a hard time believing the high ratings on here are authentic. Food is severely overpriced for the low quality of ingredients and preparation. The taco grilled cheese was a soggy greasy mess. If you are going to cook lettuce it has to be a variety with a little more structural integrity that the shredded slimy water they use. The short rib was barely edible mess of fat and gristle. Like 80% grease. Didn't help that the cheese was cooked to the point of separation. Service was disinterested, barely acknowledging that there was people waiting. I can't tell if they are over worked or just underpaid, but they definitely don't a give a toss. Atmosphere is non existent. It's a food court at a highway rest stop. Reply: They were ordered separately. Perhaps you should spend some time managing the rest stop food stands instead of searching through past orders. There is no way I am selling out fast food workers. That's the real reason you want the time of the order, so you can take it out on your staff. Low quality ingredients and poor recipes are your fault.

OMG!! such tasty grilled cheese. My mom and I were just looking for something to tie us over til our flights back home, just picked this spot at random. Such a good choice! The get shorty was creamy Mac and cheese and tender short rib (we did bbq, def recommend) so good! I got the cheddar bacon pickle. Now I love pickle so I got extra. I could still taste the bacon and cheese! It was fantastic, the girl working the counter was super friendly and personable. Treated us like friends! It was worth every penny

Just here for the Yummmnny Cheeeeezy Sandwiches! My last order was a chicken salad, I ate the chicken off the lettuce and tossed the rest. It was just lettuce. I also noticed they have delivery service :)

Best Grilled Cheeses anywhere. Worth the stop. I always feel bad for the people that stop at this plaza and just go and get regular fast food. They just don't know any better. Food here is amazing, always quick service, and always a great and friendly staff. Today, I also tried their soft pretzel for the first time. Don't be fooled looking at the pretzel in the display case and think it is just a regular convenience store pretzel. They prepare the pretzel to order and it was amazing. Piping hot, soft and fresh with great flavor.

Always a great time heading in for some Get Shorty Sandwiches! Beef ribs, Mac n cheese perfectly toasted bread with the spicy mayo and bbq sauce highly recommended! If you're feeling bold get a double to go. Loaded tots as the side too!

Stopped at the location in the Framingham plaza on the way home from a trip. Very pleasantly surprised to find an excellent alternative to The Standard fast food rest stop fare. Great sandwiches. The gentleman working there delivered great service.

Very nice server. He was on his own, and made sure to let me know the food would take a while before I placed my order. The sandwiches were great. My six year old is a picky eater, so I expected her to say "It's not like the kind I like" and just pick at it a bit. Nope. She loved it. My wife and I liked ours too. What a nice surprise to find in a rest stop. Will make a point of stopping at this rest stop to go here.

This is an absolute hidden gem - we saw all the reviews so we decided to stop by, and it was as good as the reviews said! We ended up getting a third grilled cheese to share - it was that good. The Mac and cheese is also excellent, as is the tomato soup. The restaurant is in a rest stop off the highway so the ambience isn’t great, but the food itself is top notch - wish they would open up a full restaurant in Boston 🤞

I got a basic grilled cheese and the tomato bisque. I was expecting an average sandwich and bisque. The food was fantastic. The taste was far better than I hoped and the amount of cheese for the sandwich was ideal. The person behind the counter suggested getting at least one topping, and they were right. The bisque was so enjoyable and great for dipping my sandwich. The service was amazing as well. Overall, I highly suggest you visit if you're at the plaza while they're open.

SO good! We stopped here on our way to the airport the day after attending a wedding.. needless to say we needed sustenance. The food is amazing! Definitely hit the spot.

Cheesy Street Grill is amazing. First off, despite being located in a rest stop with typically questionable and disaffected employees, they hire right here. Always super friendly, hospitable, welcoming and willing to accommodate special requests. The grilled cheeses are just amazing. I stop here even when I'm not hungry. Breads are great, cheese super high quality (swiss is particularly good) and they are always grilled to a perfect golden brown. Reasonable pricing. Highly recommend. Date last visit: 10/29/23 2pm

Everything made to order, so it takes a little longer than the fast food surrounding it, but WORTH IT. Got the ham and cheese, which slapped. Have gluten free bread and cleaned the grill down for me, but advised that there is lots of cross contamination, so NOT good if you have celiacs.

This place is a hidden gem if you're traveling on the Pike! They have a location eastbound in Natick and another westbound in Westborough. The food is certainly on the comfort end of the scale with excellent flavor. The sandwiches are loaded and will squash even the strongest hunger. The owner (Lisa) is a sweetheart and works extremely hard to take care of customers, despite being severely understaffed. Side note: if you know anyone looking for a good-paying job working for a wonderful boss, she is hiring! As an added bonus, Cheesy Street Grill uses compostable containers, which I appreciate. We will be stopping in any time we're traveling to/from Boston and hunger strikes!

The server WAS FANTASTIC. SO KIND AND GENUINE (LITERALLY TODAY). AND THE SANDWICH IS PHENOMENAL. Goat cheese fig spread and caramelized onions wow!

We live a couple hours away but when we go to Boston, we always stop at Cheesy Grill. The owner is so kind. She was working by herself tonight and still smiled at and spoke to each customer. We had the signature with bacon and the short rib with mozzarella. You can choose from the menu or create a custom sandwich. It’s perfectly grilled and buttery. Lots of different cheeses to chose from. The caramelized onions are to die for. The best part of this place is the owner. She’s wonderful. Points off for atmosphere because it’s just a turnpike rest stop.

I ordered my grilled cheese sandwich, with tomato, on wheat and received white bread instead. The soup(tomato), wasn't hot enough or at all, in fact none of the food is hot enough. Prices are inflated.

We stopped in because we were starving and looked at the menu. The young man working behind the counter told us everything was made to order so anything could be substituted if we wanted something different in a listed sandwich or we could build our own. We got a chipotle chicken and asked for well done bacon (,it was!) and a French onion with different cheese. The sandwiches were (are; still eating!) delicious! And the service was fantastic. The young man who made the food was helpful, efficient and super nice. As we sat down to eat we noticed he was cleaning up and closing the grates - it was 7 pm (5/14/2023)- but he hadn't given any indication nor tried to rush us. This is my first rest stop restaurant review but I felt compelled to write it partly for the restaurant (since the food is sooo good) but even more so the service. 💯💯💯

Great stop for lunch on the Mass Pike! They do have gluten free bread, but said they cannot completely avoid cross contamination. The worker behind the counter was very friendly.

A trip on Mass Pike is made better because of their grilled cheese choices. The fig and caramelized onion one is magic.

Build your own grilled cheese sandwich with tons of different options for everyone. Although it is not a gluten-free establishment, they do offer tasty GF bread. I ordered a cheddar with bacon, balsamic vinegar, and grilled onion on gluten free toast. I'd definitely order here again despite the slightly pricey prices. 8/10

EXCELLENT choice for a rest stop, hands down best option here, I would especially go to this place if I was local and/or it was stand alone. This will be my I-90 go to choice when I'm in the area.

I’m not typically a grilled cheese place person, but after trying the free sample as I was leaving the rest stop and getting in my car, I ran back in and ordered a sandwich!! Sandwiches are delicious, made fast, and the staff was very friendly, even brought my sandwich over to me. Thank you for the great bacon grilled cheese & soft pretzel!!
