This is the place if you want AMAZING food! Best burgers in town!

Recommend by a dear friend before getting to Florida City! Once in FC everyone talks about Chefs on the Run as a must visit. And it didn’t disappoint. It is a small restaurant but the chef is big at heart. You can order to go or sit down. Non- stop since we got there. It is always busy! Food was delicious, pretty much everything is good! I got a Cari-Bowl and the Alcapurria as an appetizer.

Small dining room with outside dining available. Plates are reasonably priced. Authentic Puerto Rican fusion menu.

Food was incredible, burgers were cooked phenomenally. Queso and fries and the key lime dessert are must haves! Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Cozy casual place to grab a bite, worth the visit if you’re up north and if you’re down by homestead already run don’t walk! They also offer takeout which is a plus, good food to sit down and eat at home on a movie night!

Great vegetarian burger with truffle fries! Service was professional too.

This place has a small store front, it doesn’t look like much from the outside and inside it has very little seating, but very cozy with a nice ambiance to it. This place is an absolute hidden gem. The food was loaded with so much flavors and served with a great presentation with nice portion sizes, and it was very reasonably priced. They add a 15% gratuity to every check. Service was very good, our waitress helped us understand the menu and she was always available. Great lunch specials and a lot of choices on their menu. This was my first time here and I will return to explore more of their menu.

Amaziiiing. It’s a small place, but the food itself is an out of the world experience. We have the ño-sandwich and the fried chicken appetizer, it was creative and delicious. But the best of the best was the keylime empanada, OMG the level of detail and depth it’s amazing. Counting the days to go back.

Hidden deep in South Miami is a very small 5 table restaurant delivering some of the most delicious and unique food I’ve ever had. We tried multiple items and everything was quite amazing. As we ate, we wanted to try everything on the menu, which of course means, I’ll have to return another day. Highly recommended. This is a hidden gem. It’s not in a posh or well to do location, so set your expectations, you are here for the food, not some fancy decor. These chefs are amazing and that’s all that matters. Have an adventure try something new, and explore. There is a reason why this is in the top 100 restaurants in Miami. For me the truffle brisket Mac and cheese blew my mind, comfort food on steroids. The loaded fries were exceptional as well. I can wait to return.

The burgers are just burgers. Not bad, not great, just regular. Nothing like Skinny Louie. Skip the fries. Skip the "mustard". $? 2 burgers + 2 fries + 1 appetizer = $60.00. No drinks, w/a $7.00 "15% Auto Gratuity" for handing out the bag of take-out food. Not going back. Never. There are just too many better options. And we, consumers, are responsible for the current out-of-hand tipping culture. Just don't pay them. Tips were and should still be extra, discretionary, and for the sole purpose of rewarding good service.

Amazing staff and amazing food. We had awesome Puerto Rican food and burgers. The taste and size of the “What Diet Bro?” And “Chef La Burger” was awesome. The team recommended some amazing Puerto Rican apps. I wish I could go every day.

We stopped for dinner during an overnight stay on our way to Key West and came back for lunch the next day. We’re a rowdy group with three small children and Jessica took care of us from start to finish, talking us through the menu, serving the kids first, and making suggestions that continuously blew our minds. Every bite was perfect; you can’t miss with any entree but make sure to try the sangria and especially the key lime empanada — hands down the best dessert in the state.

We came thru town looking for a lunch spot. We had no idea what this restaurant was or served, but it had great reviews and appeared to offer a variety of cuisine. It is a small restaurant that also offers take out. We both ordered the house hamburger 🍔. WOW! What a burger it was. The side items were large enough to share, and we enjoyed every bite. Don't pass up it small, hidden gem if you are traveling thru the area.

Wow wow wow! The Tequila Lime Butter Chicken was outstanding. We were just passing through town and this place had great reviews. It is a popular place with good reason. We waited about 20 minutes for take out. Food was amazing and staff were so friendly and prompt. You must stop here!!

We got the pork belly app, plain side of mofango, a green burger and a brunch burger. Everything was absolutely amazing! Our waitress was wonderful and helped us with what to get. Will definitely be back again

The staff at chefs on the run are so friendly. We were comfortable and felt very welcomed. I recommend you come early because we got there at the end of lunch and the dishes we craved were sold out. Still, what we ordered was delicious. Can't wait to go back to try everything.

Good afternoon, I don’t recommend this restaurant due to The wife and husband have extremely poor customer service. I asked to use the restroom, the wife/owner said you must be a client so I asked to please be seated In a table to order food, then she unapologetically Assumed I was only going to order water completely denied services to me and my husband before we even got to be a client due to poor customer service you lost Business. All Because You did not want me to use the Restroom also, she tried to use the pizza box as an excuse which wasn’t even for me, but whatever I could’ve ordered to go and use the restroom. You’re just a terrible business owner you don’t think about gaining clients for future references. Under both federal and state laws, discrimination in the provision of services or goods by businesses that are open to the public is illegal. Essentially, any business that is a public accommodation cannot discriminate against customers that walk in seeking goods or services. While a business can refuse to serve a person for legitimate reasons, such as the infamous "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" signs we're all accustomed to seeing, basing a refusal to serve on race, gender, national origin, disability, or another protected class, is illegal. A person who has been denied service may not know for sure that the denial was discriminatory. However, if there is a suspicion, feeling, or just an inkling, contacting a civil rights attorney for a consultation is a good first step. A person can also file a complaint with the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division for discrimination in a public accommodation. Additionally, there are state civil rights agencies that may also be able to accept complaints, investigate, and possibly mediate the matter, or file suit on your behalf.

Phenomenal! Their chef and wait staff are nothing less than amazing! Every time I go here the meal is perfect and the service is flawless. This is by far my favorite place in south Florida! Update! Still the best restaurant in Homestead….probably Florida!

I've always thought there was nowhere to sit to dine in, but I was wrong it's beautifully culturally decorated inside. The food was excellent, full of flavor. It left me wondering about the origin, I got authentic Mexican meets modern fusion!! I will be going back!!!!!

Ordered on line thru door dash. Chefs on the Run has great food. We ate grilled cheese burger & mongolian stir fry bowl with chicken - also had it w/ pork. Order came hot & quickly!!!

The Bori Philly was great, good pricing on beers +/- $5 and the alcapurrias were some of the best I’ve had outside of PR!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the food here. I rarely get that excited about food at a restaurant. I always find my self saying" I could do that at home" Not this time. We had some plantain appitizers ( surullitos) Awesome craft beer and a cocktail. Then we had Dios mio que Rico! Ended with the key lime emenada. Guys, let me tell you that meat was so perfectly done you couldn't tell where the meat and fat began. It was like buttered pork belly with a slight char crunch. The kind you see on burnt ends. I had goose bumps. Everything we ate was like gold. Don't let the small space or size of the restaurant throw you off. They are all so kind and helpful there. We found this by chance and it was the highlight of trip. There was nothing in key west that could compare to this. This chef has true passion for his work. Rarely seen. It's a very small place and the front is not much to look at but that's OK, more for me. They do take out all so if sitting isn't your thing, order to go, you won't be disappointed. My only regret is we live too far away. Next time it's the burgers. Everyone says they are awesome.

This is the special burger of the month, and it is special. It's got flavor. This is the place that makes burgers that require no condiments. The flavor stands on its own. I have a sauce for another meal. Plantains and sausage, who is this mad scientist? I need to investigate further.

Great place to stop between Miami and the keys. Food was fantastic in this five table joint. Eclectic selection of dishes with a Puerto Rican flair. The Grilled Cheese Burger was fantastic and the mofongo with pork and bone broth was enjoyed by all. Dessert was the Key Lime Empanada. Very tasty and so different than key lime pie.

I hesitate in messing up the Freddie Wong analysis of ethnic cuisines, restaurants, and star rating on here. But. The food here is phenomenal, the service is spectacular, and the atmosphere is quite cozy. I would highly recommend to anyone!

This is a tiny place, but that is what made it such a special experience for me. The owners both came and talked with their customers, and although we were only traveling through, we could tell that most of their customers were locals who frequented the establishment. That speaks highly of their food and service. I had the No Burger (I think that was its name), and it was excellent. If you like spicy things, the macaroni and cheese is very good as well. My husband and I split a Key Lime Empanada…very tasty! If you visit, ask one of the owners how this dessert landed on their menu. All in all, if you’re ever close to the area, look it up! You won’t be disappointed.

This was my 1st time dining here. I loved it. The ambiance was authentic and lovely. It has a nice dining area with about 5 tables. Restroom on premises for customers and very nicely decorated spaces. The food was beautifully presented and tasty. I ordered the pork belly appetizer and a regular cheeseburger with french fries for my main meal. I would recommend trying them out.

My first time here, but I will be a regular! I ordered the mofongo platter, it came with white rice and stir fried vegetables and chimichurri sauce. The mofongo was perfect with the chimichurri. I don’t know how white rice can be so delicious? But my favorite were the stir fried vegetables they were done to perfection. Well cooked yet crispy with a very savory sauce. I highly recommend Chefs on the Run!

I’ve never noticed this place but it came up on the Tuesdays reward app and gave it a try!!! It was sooo good. Very cozy restaurant and a little on the smaller side but the food didn’t disappoint. I had a burger which was great but the grilled cheese burger was even bettteer!! The fries were great too I recommend this place.

Nice fusion menu in a small local strip center. The customer service was excellent! Friendly greeting and prompt service. Something for everyone from meat lovers to vegans...American, Mexican Asian and Island food. Plus the drinks look great.

The wait was a little long and a bit pricy for appetizers, but not too bad for this area. They did have options for Gluten and dairy free needs. Their burgers can be served using plantain tostones in place of the buns. It would be nice if they would offer some gluten and dairy free dessert options like a gf df key lime pie empenada using corn and coconut cream. I was unable to try the desserts since they all had gluten and dairy.

The grilled cheese burger is TO DIE FOR!! The chef was spot on with burger temp. Medium was MEDIUM!!! teeny tiny dining room but clean and homey. Chef came out to see if we wanted our only order of fries split between the two burger plates!!! We WILL be back!!

Ordered from here twice now in two days. Holy $!*#… Everything on this menu is amazing. If you don’t try these guys when in the Homestead area - it’s a mistake. Salads, pork belly, burgers, the freaking BRUSSEL SPROUTS, mofongo and fried plantains - all amazing!

Just had one of the best meals. Food was outstanding. Very fresh and just delicious. The mofongo was absolutely delicious The waiters worked together always making sure we had what we needed. Wish we lived in Florida as we would be back tomorrow

Excellent food and gracious service! The Chino Taino Burger is topped with high scale cuisine spices that create almost a stewing combo of tangy flavors. Comes with requested degree of cooking. Medium rare was perfect! Chipotle Mac was phenomenal blend of truffle oil, spice, brisket, best version I ever had! The brussel sprout flavorful side kept freshness, lightly warm and flavorful al dante type texture. We had the molten chocolate cake for takeout with toppings of whipped cream and raspberry glaze. Amazing moist and rich chocolate taste! Friendly service people that courteously explain menu to customers. Also independent art work on walls and some humorous comical framework in decor. Can’t recommend enough Chefs on the Run Assorted Cuisine restaurant!

Been wanting to try this place for a while. Not sure if i just picked the wrong day but the smell of backed up plumbing, like an overused truck stop bathroom was overpowering upon entering. They had the fans going so i said screw it and sat down. The fritters were good. But the el junque burger was incredibly salty and i was charged 3.50 extra for cafeteria crinkle cut fries…what kind of burger doesnt come with fries? Service was ok but a bit odd. Perhaps just new or inexperienced wait staff. I noticed the “masks required” sign on the door but half the waitstaff had their masks down and the cook didnt have one at all. If youre going to require your patrons to mask up you’d better at least be willing to lead by example. All in all it was a bit of a letdown in all ways- and the 15% gratuity automatically added to the bill was the icing on the cake. If you go here at all- get takeout!

Amazing!! Can't say enough about this place! My husband and daughter have Celiac and the staff here are so knowledgeable about it, have a GF fryer, and thoroughly explained all of the dishes they could have. The food is amazing and the customer service and friendly staff is great! We are from out of town, but would come regularly if we were local. SOOO Good!!! Thank you so much. ❤️

Amazing food. They had really good and flavorful vegetarian options. The service was great, the staff is really sweet. The server and staff checked on us a couple of times if we are enjoying our meal.

For those of you who don't live in Homestead you guys are out of luck because this is the best, most underrated restaurant in this town

We didn't dine in because we have 7 adults and 2 under 2 and a sit-down restaurant without a restroom sounded like a BAD idea. However, our takeout was AMAZING. Incredibly creative menu items which are absolutely delicious. Aside from somewhat generic fries, the only complaint among us was from the one who ordered a no frills burger, and she was just sad she didn't choose something more experimental. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique food experience.

Chefs on the Run is the “love” food everyone needs in their life. It’s a wonderfully run small business that provides big quality food! My family and I have been coming here for years. It’s always good, always consistent, and always tastes like love. It’s a must! Come and get some!

We are here after spending a day in Eveglades National Park. This place is amazingly delicious. My husband ordered the Dios Mio Pork, and I ordered the stir fry. We ended with a key lime empanada with raspberry sauce and ice cream. The whole meal had a nice presentation. The chef really takes pride in what they are creating... a masterpiece that looks as good as it tastes. It was the best meal we ate throughout our trip and that's saying a lot considering there's no shortage of good food in South Florida!

I had the Chef La burger and fries. A bit pricey at $21 plus ordering and paying at the front door and then walking around back to the outdoor seating was a bit awkward the food was delicious.

Chef Jodrick and Jessica always go above and beyond to deliver nothing but the best. We’re so happy we found this little hidden Homestead gem a few years back. Be sure to try the tripleta…it’s AMAZING!

Excellent service! The waiters are very attentive, great service. The chef is very humble, always making sure I am well taken care of. The mini alcapurrias, pure Boricua flavor. They exceeded my expectations. Amazing service. Place is very clean, well cared for. The Yunque burger is another level let me tell you! High quality meat, juicy, pure mouthwatering flavor. The mango flan, man!! Delicious delicious. Excellent restaurant, service, crew and atmosphere. I totally recommend this place 100%. I give it 10 stars if I could. This place is very much worthy of becoming a regular.

When our family takes a trip, we enjoying visiting local restaurants. We found Chefs on the Run and were not disappointed. The hamburgers were incredible! My son ordered the No! Chicken Sandwich which he said was delicious. Their is limited seating indoors, but they did have outdoor seating. The decor is awesome, they had what appeared to be local artists work hanging on the walls for sale. I would definitely recommend!

We were in Miami for a visit with family. Wife is a food and loves to try small family run restaurants. He's on the Run did not disappoint. The food was great, service was exceptional and the chef took his time to visit with us even though it was time to close. The chef even gave us a variety of sauces for the road. This restaurant is one of our all time favorites!

Food is better and more affordable than most places. It annoys me they don't offer tap water. The only water they offer is Fiji bottled water. No tap water even if you ask. Really dickish of them.

Stopped in for dinner after a snorkeling trip. Seated right away inside where there were a few tables (outdoor seating was available in the back). Had the Funky Buddha Lager and chicken mongolian bowl, daughter had the "I just want a burger"; green bananas appetizer. OUTSTANDING! The chef/owner came out to check on us and make sure we were satisfied. Just perfect. They add 15% gratuity, I added more. Highly recommend.

The menu had so many amazing dishes to choose from, it was hard to pick. The creativity and passion from the chef are very apparent. He is so personable! Just knowing how much heart has gone into creating these recipes probably would have made them taste even better if there was anything to left to improve on... But there wasn’t….this little gem on the corner was easily the best meal we had this week of vacation traveling around the state. We didn’t just go out to dinner, we had a culinary experience we won’t forget. Somewhat needs to invest in this restaurant and get this food more on the map. Try it now before they start charging what these meals are worth.

We happened to be in the area and we heard good things about the place so we decided to stop by. The parking is either on the street or on the side of the building down a very narrow alley. So we go to the front of the store and the door is locked so then the lady comes to the door and asks us how many so we tell her just two so she tells us to wait outside the front door and comes back and tells us OK there's a table for 2 and that we should go around the alley and into the Courtyard around back so we walk around the back and we are proceeded to be seated at a small table that had an umbrella. The waitress was pleasant we reviewed the menu and decided to go with the Burger and fries. I guess they make it fresh because we had a way to little while peread generally I'm not a fan of soda so I order water and they bring a bottled water and a cup of ice. We get our food but they didn't bring ketchup so we had to wait for the ketchup. I like to fork my French fries to dip him in the ketchup but we were not rot utensils so we had to wait for a fork. So because I was eating with my fingers my hands got greasy and I needed a napkin so we had to ask for more napkins. Overall it was OK, a little pricey but everything is now very expensive. If it was the summer I definitely would not recommend going here because it was pretty warm in the Courtyard and they have no standing fans to cool you down.

Found Chefs on the Run by watching an episode of Check, Please! South Florida, and we are so glad we stopped in after a meeting in Key Largo. First, we were greeted and served by Fatima, who is a great ambassador for the restaurant. Rarely have I had anyone thank me for "choosing" to visit before the meal. She was knowledgeable and delightful. This is a tiny place located in the historic district of Homestead, family-owned and run, filled with flavor and a love for the food. Jessica & her husband, Chef Jodrick Ujaque are present and clearly care about your dining experience. Expect quality ingredients, inventive use of flavors and excellent customer service. The Ay Ay Ay chicken sandwich was delicious. Juicy fried chicken breast, not greasy , and the habanero butter catches you in the back of your throat when you least expect it! The house sangria was terrific, not watered down or overly sweet. The strawberry flan was a nice change-up and perfect for an end-of-meal share. Driving to the Keys? Stop by for delicious, reasonably-priced casual fare that explodes with flavor and show this chef-owed business some love.

Nice spot to enjoy some good food. I had the pork belly tostones and fried pork mofongo which were great. We sat outside in the patio area behind the building. Nice relaxing atmosphere. I'd recommend not eating out there in the heat of the day but it wasn't too bad. Service was great as well as the food.
