When you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome every time. All people here, from the owners to the employees and even their regular customers, all are so nice and welcoming. Large variety of items to choose from for a good price. If it were closer to home this would be my go to place every day. Don't know what took me so long to write a review as every time I'm in the Toledo area I tend to stop in since it is so welcoming and so tasty.

Delicious specialty coffee!!!!! So many options!!

I was very disappointed, although great service and the breakfast potatoes were delicious, the egg sandwich was all bread and a tiny egg and a tiny piece of cheese, with no flavor. First and last visit.

I really wanted to like this place, I heard nothing but good things about it. Got breakfast and it looked like most of what i ordered had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile.

One of the best sandwich’s places I’ve ever been too. Food is phenomenal, Service was great. Even after messing up our order, they made it up to us! Definitely recommend! (Sidenote: I’m really sorry if we scared the drive thru guy. I was kind of stoned out my mind lol. #iykyk I hope you guys have a great day)

All I ordered was a Chicken Caesar Salad and they only gave me lettuce and cheese. I tried to call back about my order but they will not answer. Not sure how you forget chicken? I would’ve made it myself if I knew it would come ONLY lettuce and sliced cheesed. First and last time ordering from here for sure.

We came in from out of town for Shop Hop and wanted a local mom and pop type place for lunch. They did not dissapoint!!! Very Very friendly, fast service and great food reviews from all 6 in our group

Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior, as I was for years. Someone finally told me that this place is delicious and I couldn't agree more. Friendly staff, clean restaurant and absolutely delicious food! I had the greek salad and chicken salad sandwich, excellent portion sizes, super fresh veggies, fast and satisfying. Can't wait to check out the breakfast options and tour my way through the menu!!

The staff are super nice and the price is amazing for the amount of food you are served!! Everything is fresh made to order. That even do delivery thru door dash AND cater! Mom had the egg salad with a side salad. The "side" salad is 2x the size of everyone else's! The food is amazing, and I love the amount of healthy options available! This is one gem in Toledo that has to be visited.

Tried strawberry pineapple aqua fresca...it was good, but the straw was so small I couldn't get the fruit thru it

Service was great. Everyone was very kind, friendly, and on top of everything from the second we walked in. Food was spectacular, good portions, and it all came out very quickly. The iced tea tasted like it was freshly brewed, and the mocha frappe was probably the best frappe I've ever had. Love the old fashioned diner feel of the place. 10/10 recommend. We'll be coming back for sure.

Random trip to Toledo. If you’re there you have to stop. Stumbled upon this gem. Chicago dog, Italian sausage and polish sausage. Can’t choose a #1. Owners are amazing.

Been coming here since they opened a few years ago and they have never disappointed. The owner knew me by name after just a couple visits and always makes a point to talk to me and ask me how I’m doing, even if I’m just in the drive through. The food is far better than any fast food chain you go to, and it’s extremely affordable. Their breakfast is great, their chicken sandwich is great, nothing I’ve had has disappointed. This spot is a Toledo gem, and I 100% would encourage people to give their business to Chicago Post Cafe rather than any fast food chain.

Love it! We went for breakfast. Super quick and priced right - good value. We will definitely be back to try lunch next time. Only con - not a fan of the sausage patties.

Really good home cooked food, been living in the area for over 20 years never noticed this small Cafe/Diner that has a drive through food was very good but they should market this place more it is a bit hidden its on the intersection of Central and reynolds

I ordered Italian beef, chicago style Hotdog and Maxwell polish. First off, the Hotdog was cold, the polish was slathered with mustard and the Italian beef was just ok. I will not be back.

Ordered delivery from here today, the hash brown Pattie was burnt, the egg for my omelette was overcooked and I asked for turkey sausage in it and they just threw 2 sausage patties in the omelette, I thought it would at least be ground turkey or possibly cut into small pieces then put in the omelette. Nope 👎

Can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this place for so long!! First time in I had a gyro which was amazing. But these last couple times I’ve had the fried chicken sandwich and WOW is that thing sooooo good! Highly recommend. Kinda tiny dining area but it’s well worth it. Service is phenomenal.

My Omelet was totally Brown on the outside and A HUGE LONG HAIR ON THE INSIDE, THEY OFFERED TO MAKE ME ANOTHER, HOWEVER I DECLINED.

For someone like me ( I eat like a bird ) it was way to much salad but for others it would be satisfying. No complaints here

Always drove by this place. Hubby & I wanted a diner feel and this place did not disappoint. From the cook to the servers, welcoming feeling without being over the top. Very friendly and quickly served food.

Second visit to Chicago Post Cafe and it was as good as the first. I love, love the Mexican fruit so much I bought a second to go. Buffalo chicken sandwich my husband got was large, messy and very tasty, basically everything you want in a sandwich. I had the grilled cheese and tomato which was also good. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Recommend this restaurant.

Biscuits and gravy with the egg in it is a must.

Ordered off Door Dash.Reuben sandwich was very good but never got the garlic fries and the drink was to be large got a small.

Absolutely wonderful place to get breakfast. Great location very easy to find. Wonderful food with more than fair pricing. Was traveling through town and found this place on accident. Definitely will be a marked stop in the future.

Been there multiple times because of convenience. Main problem is the food is never hot. Most of it is premade and then just put together. I've had burgers, crispy chicken sand, breakfast croissants, etc. nothing is Ever hot. The cheese on my sandwiches are cold and not even beginning to melt. Fries lukewarm at best. Soups are not home made, but they are warmer than the food. Don't mind paying the prices if the food was hot. That's why I only stop when short on time.

Read nothing but rave reviews about this place. Finally got a chance to try them and Oh Em Gee was it good! The food was delish and the personel we're so genuine and friendly. We will be back! Update... My husband and I just ate lunch there today (11/19/23) and wow so so good! I had the fried chicken sandwich and my husband had the reuben and both were absolutely delicious!

Italian Beef was a bit strong in seasoning, but over all it was good. I recommend coming...good food. I'll be back

Lunch was awesome...breakfast (scrambled eggs) wasn't all that....they were on the flat side. Bacon was good. Didnt care for the chocolate milk. Staff was very sweet. The kid that had to smoke...shouldn't do it right outside the door. I could smell it! Quitting is a better choice! We definitely will go back!

The corned beef was delicious. A unique idea for Ohio, I'm glad they are here! Update: they also have some of the best breakfast sandwiches around and they are exceptionally well priced also.

We were able to sit outside with our puppy. I look forward to going back and trying the Reuben which was recommended to me. The lemonade so good they must have put their foot in to squeezing those lemons. Best chili cheese dogs I've had so far in Toledo. Very delicious garlic fries as well. I will definitely go back.

I ordered the chicken gravy and egg on a biscuit, I put in to make it a wrap instead of on a biscuit(was an option when ordering) that was ignored, the amount of grease was astonishing, the chicken was very dry and tough and it tasted weird and I immediately threw up after eating 🤢 The soup and coffee was okay.everything was priced nicely but I'm not impressed,wouldn't eat here again.

We stopped here for an early lunch. The breakfast food was outstanding. The egg, cheese, chicken, and gravy on a biscuit was delicious. The pancakes were huge and so tasty. The service was also excellent. We will definitely be stopping by again when we pass through the area. I would recommend the breakfast food over the lunch food.

Chicago Post Cafe Phil's a unique niche in the Toledo area. Fresh pressed organic juices draw me in. Excellent. And a family owned business. I like supporting. And the food is well prepared, too.anf at reasonable prices.

Good service when the ladies are there working. I went there one day it was 3 guys working one was the owner, the two other guys had to wait on the owner just to give you your pickup order sad!

The food is always great. It's nice to have a local choice in our neighborhood that has good food and service.

My fiance runs a shop on Holland-Sylvania and had met the owners of the cafe. He's already had multiple meals from there but this morning I decided to try their Biscuits and gravy AND their home fries. To say that it was delicious doesn't do the dish justice. I swear I heard angels singing as soon as I took my first bite. I almost wanted to weep at the beauty of it all but tears and gravy don't mix, so.... I'm already looking forward to my next meal from there!!!!! What a gem!

We got take out lunch here and it was super good. Everything was made correctly and was fresh. They have specials, which makes it about the same cost as fastfood only soooo much better.

I'm all about being fair and understanding. I also agree that this was my first visit. I was very disappointed in the fact that the cashier was very undertrained on the ordering system to the point that I needed to look at it and try to help figure things out, because as hard as she tried to get the attention of a man who appeared to be at least a manager, he wasn't very helpful to her at all!. I ordered a vanilla latte and got the most putrid tasting coffee with a shot of vanilla in it. My mom ordered a Greek omelette. The menu states it has "feta cheese, tomato, onion, spinach, Greek meat topped with house made tzatziki sauce". There was no meat or sauce at all! Yes I could have said something while I was there, but my elderly mother is one of those people that will not allow you to do so. So my hope with this review is that you'll do some more training to show your employees how to use the register/ordering system and you'll let your cooks know to double check the menu ingredients against what they're actually serving.

I bought a gyro salad that was almost close to $10 by itself without meat. They charge $3.50 to add meat. And gave me a baby hand full of meat that literally only covered a 1/4 of the salad. Their leading competitors such as places like Mr.Gyros sell the same size salad for just 8.99 full of meat with no extra charge. Plus their gyro meat was not thick cut like most places it was thinly sliced and very chewy. They are skimpy on their meats. I also bought a gyro pita wrap. Full of salad on the pita wrap mostly ( skimpy on the meat). I also bought 2 rueben sandwiches. Most people sell thick slices of meat for ruebens they sell lunch meat textured meat. Their not worth the order. Waste of my money. I also bought some garlic fries they were the only thing that was good honestly.

Order a Italian beef and received a sandwich with no peppers on it don't go there

I've been to Chicago several times and always make it a point to get a Chicago style dog from a street vendor. I have only had one outside of the city a few times and it's never even close. I got the 2 dogs, fries and soda special for $10 today at the Chicago Post Cafe and it was spot-on. If you like garlic fries be warned that they are strong. (Just bring some mints, they are worth it). Friendly staff. Good food. Simple but clean diner style establishment. My kinda place. I will be keeping this place in my rotation.

Friendly group, drive thru, great burgers, only place with a good Chicago dog, lots of fancy coffees, but 100% solid black coffee. Fancier dine in experience.

This is a hidden gem in our area. The biscuits they use for their sandwiches are melt in your mouth phenomenal. Put the fried chicken and American cheese on one and you've got the best chicken sandwich in town. You can also get an amazing egg (mc)muffin. Bottom line, if you're looking for a quick, cheap snack, meal, etc, Chicago Post Cafe should be your first choice!

You MUST go here. Everything was delicious! Even something as simple as BLT was fantastic! We got the gyro and the tzatziki was so good I asked for extra to dip my fries in! And the COFFEE!!! Was not expecting it. So long starbucks because this place wins for best coffee period! Can't wait to bring my family back in!

Walking in we were greeted with smiles. My husband and I are both ordered double cheeseburgers meals where you pick what you want on them. He got the onion rings and I ordered regular fries. (They offer garlic fries, WHICH BOTH ARE HAND CUT FRESH) FIRST OFF- the onion rings were crispy on the outside, and perfectly cooked on the inside, yes I am took a few of my husband's! My French fries we're perfectly cooked to be slightly crunchy on the outside but not dry. They're hot and soft on the inside, as they should be cooked. SECOND- both of our hamburgers were cooked to the point where they melted in our mouths- both buns was extremely fresh and soft, and as for the condiments, they were layered on perfectly to where when taking a bite, you could taste every condiment equally. THIRDLY- Timing on the food was fast! We had sat down long enough to absorb the environment, next thing we knew the food was brought out, and in front of us piping hot! I took a bite of my hamburger and could literally see the steam, from it just coming off the grill. FOURTHLY- Our drinks- We had the perfect amount for just us two without having to get seconds, otherwise the perfect amount. The boss man made sure to tell us to enjoy our food when we received it, as well as the staff asked us half way through how everything was prepared for us as well as asking us if we needed anything else. When we went to leave they asked us if everything was cooked up okay. FIFTH- Prices - Everything was extremely well priced so you don't have to worry about breaking the bank if you come here to eat. For two double cheeseburgers with higher-priced items like blue cheese on my hamburger, while my husband got onion rings plus the two pops (otherwise two double cheeseburger meals) it was at or around $28 before a tip. SIXTH- Atmosphere- This is a smaller building so most of the tables were two-seaters, don't let that stear you away- I'm sure they'd allow you to put two tables together if you have a larger crowd?! They have tables outside if you're looking to have some fresh air on nicer days, it's extremely clean and well put together. I saw a couple people get up to leave, and the employee was on it, cleaning the tables as soon as they left. LASTLY - If you've been driving by wanting to try this place, I would highly recommend it! Even if you're in a rush they have a drive-thru, and they're super fast cooking up your order. (I believe there was two to three orders in front of us, and we still received our food quickly.) This is also a mom and pop shop, family owned, and you can taste the love, quality, and care they put into the food! The employees are extremely nice, informative, and the prices are cheap, but the quality of the food is not! Check this place out! You won't be disappointed! I don't believe I've ever a review this long before, and that's just because of the fact that, I can't stress how nice and comfortable this place is... AMAZING JOB, I can't wait to go back and get a meal made from basically scratch! 100/10
