The food has been greatly improved over last year, nice smokey flavor. The new ownership has improved the menu.

The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Especially the smoked lamb And the smoked brisket. And I would come back to try anything else to have on their Menu

Owner was so nice, we love Stan ❤️ Service was fast and accommodating, the food was incredible, especially their pastrami and buffalo wings. Ask for the beef jerky, it’s delicious 10/10

Wow, great food and great service! Loved the owner helping the FOH and seating us. We basically loved everything - see pics of smoked sampler, nice tray of everything, meat pizza, chicken soup, and more! The only request I have is to put more meat on the meat pizza - the French bread was delicious but just wanted some more meat on there. Anyway, we will be back!

Let's get this out of the way: the meat is the star of the show. The brisket is juicy, flavorful, and tender enough that you'll think that you ended up in a fancy steakhouse rather than a much more reasonably price neighborhood place. That said, the appetizers are a bit more hit and miss: really liked the cornbread and the sauces that came with the fries but the fries themselves were just OK. Prices were what I expected for a kosher restaurant in this area. Overall recommended but just remember to double up on the meat wherever you can :)

Worst pastrami totally dried out and they put lettuce mayonnaise and onions on the sandwich I won’t go back

UPDATE approx 6 months later: I'm not joking- this place makes the GREATEST food I've ever eaten in my entire life. Tonight was only my second time eating here and it was the best birthday dinner in all my 27 years. The portions are ridiculous, I got a sandwich as big as my head and words cannot describe how incredible it was (well, the half that I was able to consume). R&B loaded fries pictured below were other-worldly. The first time I think I got the Ziggy and tonight I got the 'Smokin Suzie and honestly I cannot speak any higher about this place. Going into a food coma as we speak. Go there, you won't regret it.

The Elote Corn is lowkey the best thing on the menu, maybe on the block.

Home run, out of the park. We started in the 5 towns, did a pick up by YU, then headed to Senders. Worth the trip. Great food, large portions, nice people. Senders is a gift to BBQ lovers. Prices are sooo looow. For the price of a sit down good burger joint you can get great BBQ at Senders.

Staff was friendly and the food was ready quickly. The smoked brisket we got was very, very good but all of other food - the pastrami empanadas, loaded fries and steak tacos - were just ok. Other than for more smoked meat I wouldn't go back. The restaurant was clean and not terribly when we went, on a random weeknight.

The food was excellent as was the service. I loved the music they had playing in the background.

Gabe was excellent to work with planning a last minute get together! He opened the restaurant just for our party, was flexible and kind along the entire planning process, making every step of the way seamless. Highly recommend!

The pastrami sandwich was soooo juicy and good. They must have put some really good sauce on it. The owner came over and introduced himself, which was really nice. Everyone there was friendly and helpful.

Super Smokey natural sweetness from the veal .... no words ...came from Brooklyn just to eat here !!! was definitely worth the trip hope so see you guys a lot soon

Good kosher smoked meats and sandwiches

this place is awesome! Got recommended by the owner themselves which i thought might’ve been self -promo but DAMN this place is amazing. I’m a big fan of vegan cheese and pulled brisket. So the Pulled Brisket pizza was right up my alley and so delicious. Would definitely come here again. Only one con- a little more on the pricey side but the food is of great quality!

The food is really good. I gave it four stars since it is quite pricey. Definitely go for the 10 dollar special for which you get a sandwich (I like Ziggy sandwiches) and potato chips

Went to Sender's Smoke Joint for our cousin's sheva brachot the other night. Beautiful setting, even though it was in the middle of a busy street with other restaurants. The staff made sure we were as private as possible by lowering the tent walls between Sender's and the other restaurants. Not the norm. Tables were set with individual challah rolls and a washing stand was outside. Appetizers of meat pizzas were all delicious. I was particularly fond of the chicken pizza...had a nice kick to it. Mains were a choice of steak, brisket or salmon, all with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. My steak was absolutely amazing. The tastiest steak I've had in some time...and I've recently gone to several steakhouses. Dessert was doughnuts and a cake for our uncle and aunt's 60th anniversary. All in all a magical night for the bride and groom and all of the guests. Thanks to Gabe Gilbert and all of the staff who made this evening special.

Ok, so it's Sunday afternoon and I'm ordering. The wait is a lot longer than I would expect. The menu prices seem to be ok. But, oh, the wait is long. OK, I got my food. It's not my jam. But, then again the food is not Middle Eastern like I like. I'll give the owner kudos for realizing that he's overwhelmed. He apologized and brought out a plate of pastries to try and make up for all of the issues. I will give him an a for effort. And, he needs to stop flop for these insane Sunday nights. For that, I decided to give him four stars instead of five.

Let me begin with saying that with a 4.8 rating I came with hight expectations... However right off the bat it went south, right after placing a large order (Myself and Co.) I'm told that it'll be at least 30-40 min before I receive any food due to a large party (which hadn't arrived yet, we ordered "dessert" aka donuts so we don't starve to death, they were at least 3 days old... Tacos came out cold Boneless wings is 2 wings and fries, not as described but nonetheless delicious Brisket and pastrami are not smoked, they just use liquid smokee! 🤮 Pizza was just... You get the point, highly dissapointed

Really good food. Great Smoky flavor. It takes a few minutes waiting for your food bit it's worth the wait. The service was really good too.

I was absolutely blown away by the quality and taste of the food here. Got a sandwich, wings, empanadas, and onion tumbleweeds. They were all delicious. The empanadas specifically were insanely good! Highly recommend eating here!!!

The food and service was so good here! Great combination of sweet, smoky, and spicy. The prices are fair and a nice chill atmosphere both inside and outdoor dining. Highly recommended! We came close to closing time last night and the team was super friendly, let us sit in the front and were very helpful even though we must have kept them late - and the food was delicious! A rare great spot with quality food and service!

Had the taco lunch special today, and it was nothing short of amazing! Flavorful smoked chicken with an array of fresh and grilled veggies; and the beef taco was really beef! Not ground burger meat! Gluten free soft corn tortilla and for a small extra fee; great soup or a very generous salad with excellent dressing.

Placed an extremely large school order of 500 meat pizzas with Gabe from Senders. So impressed with the quality and freshness of the pizzas. The entire staff worked through the night to make this order perfect. Extremely delicious.

Awesome! Tried Senders during their soft opening and i myst say just average. But now they have their groove. Such great smoke on the brisket and pastrami. Great slaw. Everything so well flavored and terrific service!

Delicious items lots of variety not your typical smoke joint

Pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. Nice variety of choices and all tasty. Especially liked the pulled beef brisket, mushroom barley soup and the empanadas. Highly recommended!!!

We love the sandwiches in particular. The buffalo chicken pizza is actually spicy (hot sauce)

Casual, relaxed lunch spot with solid smoked meats and a diverse selection of mains and apps. Really enjoyed their cojito corn! I was sad they didn’t have the smoked ribs when I visited but would love to try it one day!

Pretty much the only thing enjoyable here was the playlist.

Fresh food great taste and flavor great prices

Food was very good, and portions were good size. but some items seem quite expensive. We ate outside in a tent due to covid-19 restrictions. The waiter brought us our food and the staff were attentive. A good kosher place and quite a bit improved since our visit several months ago.

Staff was helpful and kind but toke very long for the food to come and was extremely overpriced for the quality and quantity of food I would give it a 3/10

Easily one of the best restaurants on the block. After trying the Ziggy Sandwich (which was amazing), I decided to try as many options on the menu as possible. Between the Ziggy, brisket, chicken, meatballs, and meat pizza, so far the food and soups have been incredibly flavorful, well prepared, and unique - something Queen Anne road has been lacking for a long time. After eventually trying out all of the options I asked Gabe, one of the owners, to surprise me, and he made a delicious wrap for me with brisket, sauteed onions, and parve macaroni & cheese! I have to say I have been blown away by the quality of food and overall friendliness of the staff. I will definitely be a returning customer!

What can I say? As a foodie it was the best brisket sandwich ever. My lady loved the grilled chicken sandwich. I’ll be back for the pastrami. Try the mini donuts. A memorable place with a great staff.

I was very very happy that I ordered today! The staff was super helpful and kind. We ordered over the phone, and the food was delivered earlier than they had originally estimated. The food was absolutely delicious! We got 3 things from the lunch menu. (2 sandwiches and an order of chicken fingers) The portions were large and the side chips were super yummy. Everything tasted super fresh and tasty. This was the right decision. I can't wait to order again!

I haven't had food this good in Teaneck in a LONG time! My husband and I split the R&B loaded fries, BBQ brisket sandwich, and California pizza pie. The fries were OUT OF THIS WORLD. The garlic sauce they have is incredible, and altogether it was the perfect comfort food. Like, if I were having a bad day, I would go straight here and order the R&B fries to instantly brighten my mood. The brisket in the sandwich was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, and the California pie was so so good! I could not believe that the cheese wasn't real cheese! Of course we took most of the pizza home, and it made for a great dinner the next night as well. Highly highly highly recommend!!! I hope Senders sticks around!

The Ziggy sandwich is one of the best smoked meats sandwich I’ve had anywhere in the NY tristate area! Also got a brisket sandwich, homemade chips, and cinnamon dessert that were great as well.

Senders smoke joint truly deserves its name, run by the wonderful and warm chef Alex Remer. You can feel on entering that the restaurant is devoted to the concept which it executes so well. Strong recommendations include the incredibly soft and juicy brisket, the wings which taste like they were just smoked over a campfire, and the OG Meat Pizza which had a properly crunchy crust to hold an assortment of well seasoned and cooked meats with some cashew based cheese. Tacos were authentically prepared and delicious. Looked like they're working on an outside seating area which will serve them well in the summer, and the food seems oriented around taking out, though you can sit and eat here. We cannot wait for the next time we have an excuse to come back!

Amazing barbecue brisket sandwich!!! The meat melted in my mouth. The homemade potato chips were thin, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Plus they had the Burning Bush hot sauces, made the meal complete with great company.

When I came in they were very kind and offered me a menu right away the food was worth the price and then some the people working there were very friendly but not overov friendly which is very nice

Came in on the first night, and things ran very smooth! Got two kinds of wings to go, and both were awesome! Can't wait to try the third type, and the pizza and ribs! Everything looked amazing! Best of luck to you guys!
