We go to this China 1 location a lot and it’s usually pretty good. Sorry to say but tonight was not. We order the same thing all the time, General Tso’s chicken combination. Tonight the pieces of chicken were so small and dried out it wasn’t worth eating. Had we not already gotten to the location where we were hoping to enjoy it. I would have brought it back. Next time I guess I’ll have to open up the containers to check it before we leave. ☹️

Best Chinese food I have found! We moved from the WI, and I have been struggling to find really good Chinese food place. This one is my favorite so far!

Most of our dishes were wonderful but the rice was dry and lacked flavor. Not as good as it use to be, hope they fix this.

We have ordered here many times and have never had an issue until now. I ordered chicken chowmein, never ordered it before. There is lettuce like cabbage in it and it had this slim like film all throughout. Not eatable at all. So I called and the manager was put on the phone. I asked if there was anything they could do? He said that I could bring it back and could get something else the next day. So I did that. I called ahead of time to see if they could start the meal and the manager said yes. I got there and the girl working the counter was extremely rude. I did what I was told to do. She said her manager there said that they wouldn't ever do this again, let me bring food back and I said if it was a problem that they could just throw it away and I'd leave, she said no it will be a while that they were cooking it. I sat down. I've been in customer service for many years and would have never treated someone like that. I sat down, she called me up once it was done. I told her that I didn't understand why she was so rude to me when I did what the manager asked me to do. Which was bring it back and pick up something else.i asked for one of the managers that I spoke to and she said there was no manager there that they don't answer their own phones. That a 3rd party answers and takes the orders and takes care of the managerial issues. I find this a bit odd. That someone else does but the female manager that is there in the restaurant doesn't speak English and she would need to translate for me to her. She then said that they don't want customer like this. Ones that return things get something else and then do it again. I told her that we order from them often and have never had a problem before. That this was the first time and I would hope that it would never happen again. I was insulted to think that she assumed I would be the type to just return food after return food. I told her that I'm not like that and said I wouldn't be back. It is unfortunate because we drive 13 miles to get there each time when there are about 4 or 5 ther Chinese restaurants we pass to get there because we like the quality of the food and my husband loves this place. I had to explain it 3 times. Last night to the manager over the phone, today over the phone then to the extremely rude cashier there. I did nothing to be treated that way. I was willing to throw it away and to just leave and go home with out a refund and or replacement of the meal and no apology from her what so ever. As I sat there she wasn't very pleasant with any one that walked in really. My husband said that she is always incredibly rude. I hate to say it but this is how places have reg residents never want to come back. If you don't like your job or feel justified to treat people that way you might be in the wrong position. Never assume anything and think before treating someone so rude.

Wow what a Great experience! Service is wonderful; explained some menu items and our order was fresh made. Got home and food was very delicious and still hot. Soup, fried rice just yummy! Our four other dishes perfect!

Always my first stop in this part of Florida

Food was prepared quickly and the prices reasonable. I was surprised that there was nobody seated inside but a number of tables were dirty. I ordered the pepper steak, which came with an egg roll and fried rice. The pepper steak was ok but the fried rice had a strange taste to it. The egg roll had a bone in it... I waited until I was about to leave and showed the bone to the cashier and told her about it. All she said was "oh". She may have been caught off guard.

909 on Sat 11/4. Guy cooking looked annoyed. Mongolian Beef, 75% veggies and Schezwan Chicken skimpy as well. Don't go late hear

Terrible food. Felt sick immediately after. Do yourself a favor and just get microwave chicken from Publix. Save money for the same quality. Order the general Tao chicken if you want syrup chicken with 4 extra ladles of sugar sauce to cover up the deep fried? Maybe there’s chicken in there

For the price and convenient location this is a 10/10 restaurant.

Clean, friendly place. I found the food to be just okay. It was not bad I just prefer a different style of Hunan. They do give you plenty of food and the prices are reasonable. They have 4 tables with 4 chairs each. It is easy to find and a short walk from the parking spots.

We always order from them , last night we Ordered the basics and the rice was dry overcooked, ribs were all dry overdone ..noodles had no taste whatsoever..shame because it’s soo convenient and the staff are great.

The kung-pao tofu was really good. I was expecting it to be a lot hotter as in spicyness but it was the perfect level of heat for me. If you want super spicy I’d mention you want it spicier! The veggie fried rice was very good too! Thanks a lot for serving the community with your food! 💞💞💞

I’ve had the sweet-and-sour chicken and general tsos. They’re both really good. The egg rolls and dumplings are also fantastic.

Just finished my BBQ pork fried rice and fried chicken wings. Ordered from Uber. It is on par with the standard American Chinese food around here which is good, but what I was particularly impressed by was there ability to follow special instructions. I ordered my fried rice really hot and spicy, and China One is the only place that made it so spicy I was sweating which is a great thing for me! Most places get scared of making things too spicy even when requested due to the average American taste. But this place turned standard fried rice into really great fried rice for me...This ability to take risks to make the customer happy is the reason I will order from this place from now on. For those wondering if it has that special Breathe of the Wok taste...they definitely do and you can taste it. Keep it up.

Was so looking forward to a Chinese restaurant near me but unfortunately this one falls short. We order 2 different dishes. Both were lacking in flavor. Very bland. None of the usual foods used such as ginger or other flavors. We will continue to search for good Chinese food.

Best China 1 around! Consistently excellent. Excellent phone manners.

On balance, a disappointment. The order was ready when we arrived. The Kung Pao chicken was made with small pieces chicken dredged in some sort of coating resulting in a gummy product. In addition small pieces of the coating sans chicken were mixed in. That dish also lacked heat Next - pork fried rice was dry and had little tiny pieces of pork. Overall a bland offering. Finally - the spare ribs were over cooked - like pork jerky on a bone. Hard on the teeth, hard to chew. The sticky overly sweet red coating added nothing.

This little Chinese restaurant has consistently great food at very reasonable prices. We often order enough for at least 2 meals. The meals are tasty and ample. The Orange Chicken is to die for. Wonderful place!

Food is Ok, they are a little insistent if you don't pick up on time, I was called three times during a 30 minute lapse to ask if we knew where they were located!

food was just ok. the egg roll was tough. the chicken was also tough. the fried rice was nothing special. We picked it up in ten minutes but seemed left over from lunch for some reason. The portion size on the combination was ok.

I really liked this restaurant but today saw the cooks mixing foods in several 5 gal buckets on the floor, also no head cover as required by law. I’ll think twice before going there again. Too bad I really liked the place.

Best Chinese food in the area of SouthWest Florida, I am very picky and when growing up North East having the best of the best of Chinese food being so close to NYC. This restaurant is by far the best maybe even better Chinese food than up North. Very nice, the two girls tend to the front desk and taking orders, family owned, and great food! Consistency is key and every time food taste just as good as the last!

This was my 3rd and last time I will order Moo Shu from this take-out. When I got home with my order I discovered the wrappers were ripped apart. 3 strikes, you're out. My experience with them is they don't really care, even after a phone call....

The best Chinese food in Florida! If you are from the Boston area and you are craving the kind of chinese food you get up north (Kowloon, Tiki Island, China Moon),but can’t find anything down here that comes even close, this is it! Great egg rolls, crab rangoon, pork fried rice, general gau, boneless spareribs…everything we tried was excellent!! As close as you’ll find to back home. Highly recommended!

Very good. It's tough finding decent takeout in North Port. Tried this place on a whim & was not disappointed! And they use Asian eggplant instead of the cheap American kind - bonus points from the husband!

Hands down the best to-go Chinese food around, from Venice to Port Charlotte. I had the amazing chicken and the hubby had shrimp lo-mein. The fried rice was average but was still good. I will be going here from now on for my Chinese food cravings.

Had Uber Eats deliver some General Tso's and some Pad Thai. The prices are high, the servings small and the quality marginal at best. The fried rice with the General Tso's was an after thought, flavorless. The "house" Pad Thai was nothing but noodles, with sparse protein ingredients at all. Disappointing and average at best unfortunately.

Excellent food and service. The closest I’ve found to New York Chinese food. I always go there and always have great food. I highly recommend them.
