This is my favorite place in town and I don’t even live close. Back in the day Orlando had a lot old style small Chinese buffets, the food was always on point. This place reminds of such, they offer a small buffet in the day time. The food is delicious. If you’re not the buffet type they also offer regular menu items for dine in or take out.

Everything in the pu pu platter were over cooked and difficult to eat. Did not like the sweet and sour sauce. Threw 75 percent of our order away. Won't order from here again. Sorry

Gone here a few times before and it's always good. However, we just got food here recently and it was amazing! Better than I even remembered it. The chicken was high quality, big pieces, cooked perfectly. The beef in the lowmein was equally as good. Everything had so much flavor and was the best Chinese takeout I have had in long long time. To everyone working there, "Well done!" It was a fantastic meal! Thank you, thank you! Update: got take-out again, a couple of days ago. The food was better than ever. Fantastic portions and great value. I felt the need to update the review to add a couple of notes: 1) the hot chili oil is serious flavor and punch. Good stuff! But add just a little at a time, it is spicy just like it should be.. Some of the best chili oil I have had. 2) the Beef Lo-Mein had some extra layers of flavor from last time. It was already good, but they made it even better. I think there was a hint of fish sauce for a nice umami- or maybe garlic...? I am not sure what it was but it was phenomenal. I'll be back!

Having lived in Orlando over 20 years, I've had a lot of Chinese food. I think china chef has the most consistent, fresh tasting, American Chinese food you can find in this area. He sheng accross the street is also amazing. China Chef does a lunch buffet. Quality over quantity. Lots to choose from still. Chicken and broccoli is light and tasty, not a super cornstarch mix. Mu shu pork is better than most places and isn't drowning in sauce (actually has vegetables). Haven't tried anything that isn't tasty. Try the lunch buffet and you'll be able to try... Chicken and broccoli, orange chicken, genera two chicken, salt and pepper pork, boneless spare ribs, chicken wings, Mongolian pork, fried rice, mei fun, lo mein, wonton soup, egg drop soup, egg rolls, spring rolls, crab Rangoon, green beans, white rice, etc. They even have dessert.

Authentic, and they take pride in all they do. Enjoy a meal from here, and you will not regret it!!

First of all the people that delivered the food was trying not to give me my food, There was bugs in the food, The food was fried hard, I called the restaurant and they was very disrespectful unfortunately, They gave me the wrong order, Had false advertisement because I was supposed to get a plate of food including wings, fries, & etc but I got ragoons with bloody hot sauce, A ripped receipt, Something in my sauce which was hot sauce but I didn’t order that lol & last but least I recommended not eating here because they even had hair in my food unfortunately.

It's a cute small restaurant, we chose then buffet which was relatively very small but had the classics. The service was quick and everyone was very polite. Inside it's small with the biggest table being an 8 seater, but it was very cozy.

We got to china chef around once a week and the food is amazing. I personally love the fried dumplings along with the lo mein and beef and peppers.

Ordered peppered steak and the beef had the consistency of pure fat. Just wasted 13 dollars on food.

Took them three times to heat my soup up and that’s the only thing that I ordered. And their answer to heating up soup was diluting it with hot water. Have they not heard of heating it in a pan. Pretty sad that they’re that cheap. They think I was at stupid enough to fall for that trick. The buffet is OK.

For starters Chinese take out is one of our favorites....Excited for my nieces great soccer game we ordered some take out ... nearly $50 thrown away.i ordered a gallon of fried rice for all the kids and myself along with vegetable low mein and bourbon chicken.....The rice tasted horrible and actually I don't believe was even fried and the taste was definitely off (non of the kids wanted to eat it after the started) ...the vegetable low mein was really vegetable with a hint of low mein.barley any noodles and a pound of veggies...THE BOURBON chicken😑 the taste was very off kinda like when your food taste like refrigerator and the chicken was not even cut up right.if the where cutting thighs they need to try some knew knife techniques for sure.who ever is running this kitchen needs to go back to their homeland and get some pointers from the elders....I didn't want to do them like this but man I just dont want whoever's reading thia to experience blowing money out of their poxket unnecessarily.. On the plus side the host was nice...

We’ve been ordering from here for over 10 years. It’s always been great, the food is always so good and we always receive great service. We’ve never left a review. While it’s always been amazing enough for us to keep coming back, tonight was just above and beyond! Their customer service is top notch and the food is hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. We are customers for life. This is the go to local place for the best Chinese take-out and we’ve tried a lot of places! We had an issue one time our of the 10 + years with an order and it was an error on our end but they still made sure we were satisfied and taken care of.

Great buffet. The area is always stocked with food and the area is always clean. The owners are very friendly and making sure we're fine.

A relatively small buffet but it has all the classics and food was pretty tasty. Food was also hot and fresh and we saw it being refilled regularly. We did have lunch there around noon and it is a very small location with limited seating and it filled up while we were there. For $10.90 you really can’t beat it. I thought it was better than other buffets I’ve been to that were more expensive/had more choices. Worth checking out if you are in the area and are craving American Chinese style buffet.

Got food poisoning and spent the night very sick after eating lunch there.

Id pick another place :/ I got the lunch special General Tsos. Fried rice was actually pretty good but it had a hair in it. Was charged 1$ extra for this much broccoli that was really undercooked..

Looks like a nice place to dine in. I just ordered takeout.

Very nice, the food was good, the lunch buffet had a variety to choose from and the desert bar had elephant ears, ice cream and other delights.

It's really excellent Chinese food. The rice is delicious, really good. Service is excellent. I tried several foods from the buffet, and I loved them all, and they taste very good. Prices, good and clean area.

Price was fair, lunch buffet 10.70 I believe. Cheaper than most lunch specials anywhere these days. Service was good. She immediately sat me and told me to help myself. Got my drink quickly. Had a smile on her face. Food was good. They had this coconut chicken and I promise I could have eaten a whole tray by myself. Bourbon chicken was good. Teriyaki chicken sticks were good. Wonton soup was tasty. I'd go back. I was done with my plates and they immediately took them so they didn't sit in the table. I love that when I'm at a buffet.

China chef is amazing! They are friendly and the food is always fresh and tasty! We typically get their veggie fried rice and veggie lo mein.

This is the first Chinese restaurant I’ve ordered from since moving to Orlando 7 years ago. The food was delicious. Portions were huge. So happy I found this place. I will be ordering from here again very soon and often.

Interesting food prep methods in the alley behind the restaurant

Food is always fresh during the lunch buffet. Wasn't crazy with the rice noodles my last time but every other time they were good. The homemade lemonade is a bit sweet for diabetics. Upon entry to the establishment the food area looks small, but the selection is decent for lunch. You can walk out of there very satisfied. Staff is attentive and food is tended to constantly. Everything is kept hot.

Been a customer for well over 2 decades. The owners and staff are friendly, service is good, and while I used to go for dinner many years ago, I just go for the lunch buffet and not regularly as before. It's a better than average buffet for the area, offering your American-style Chinese favs. Fresh, mostly hot, filling and good value. The hot tea is tasty! Get there early for buffet; some days it's packed, begins about 11am and winds down after 2pm. If they run out of something, politely ask for more. Lastly, the decor is pretty aged and needs a remodel, but appears clean. It's probably one of the longest running strip mall Chinese restaunts in East Orlando. Edit: Over the pandemic, I've ordered from here occasionally (if my first choice is too busy or not open on a certain day). I've since stopped eating at China Chef, because the quality of food was not to my or my family's liking. On a couple occasions (take out), the beef had a very off, unpleasant taste, which I could not eat. I often give restaurants a second chance, but after that, I'm done. Of all the Chinese restaurants that are on the East Side of Orlando, I only favor and recommend two now that I'm very familiar with. It's unfortunate that they all be consistent. in quality and taste, but that's just how it is. I do hope this restaurant will improve.

Nice vegetarian dish variety, they have a lot of tasty tofu dishes! Really good fast and friendly service! Will definitely be back!!

Best Chinese buffet in the area.

This is, by far, the best Chinese buffet in the area. Food quality is really good, and the price is really good! Lots of options for a smaller space.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The food was horrible. Not edible. I took a few bites and that was enough. Paid an extra $2.99 for chicken wings and spare ribs- a waste. Couldn’t eat it. The crab Rangoons were awful. All of it was. So disappointing

The food is great and reminds me of my trips to Chinatown as a little girl. My fave is the Ham Fried Rice

I ordered online, received a confirmation and when I went to pick up my order it wasn’t there. After I showed my confirmation on my phone the guy at the counter said oh we haven’t used that in years. Horrible service, they need to make sure their restaurant is removed from anything you can’t actually order from. I couldn’t wait for them to make my order and told him on the way out they need to remove themselves from the site and he had the nerve to say yeah we should!

Loyal customer to their lunch buffet. Prices definitely raised on the buffet in last 2 years, but can’t blame them. Definitely a sweet family owned joint. Their food is delicious, always have a great experience. Use to only be one woman manning the front, but she always did her best. Happy to see they have more help now in the front staff. All very pleasant. We will miss China Chef since we have moved.

Fully my favorite restaurant in Orlando, the owner is incredibly nice and a very hard worker, and the food is always consistent and delish. The owner has always accommodated my partner and I’s dietary needs (vegetarian and vegan).

Just left and it was awful. I ordered chicken wings and it was bloody, they did not want to give me a refund. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Save you money and spend it somewhere with good food and good service!!! The chicken veins was bloody including the chicken meat. When I told the server he told that how chicken supposed to look. I’ve been eating chicken for 21 years I know how a cooked chicken look. Worse experience of my life!!!!!!

Too expensive but it tastes okay.. just not great. 15$ for a vegetable meal with chow mein that was for the most part, very oily. I used to like this place. Not sure what they've done

Buena la atención de la china me encanta jajajaja el bufet de 10.90 vale la pena. Puedes comer todo y repetir por 10.90 entre bebidas y postres de todo. Genial.

Got the boneless ribs combination platter. Asked for BBQ sauce on the side and no broccoli.......got a plate of rice, ribs and BROCCOLI flooded in BBQ sauce. The happy dinner extra is not worth it, 1 small piece of teriyaki beef and 2 little pigeon wings. $15 for a meal and half went in the trash because of the nasty BBQ sauce soup.

Order took a little over twice the time the online ordering system said. Waiting inside it felt as if the a/c wasn't on--maybe saving $$ since no customers dining in. Food was okay, not super flavorful.

The lunch buffet never disappoints

The Kung Pao Chicken is great. And the Sesame Tofu is an awesome vegan option if that's your thing.

Got the beef lo mein and wonton soup, I paid around 12 dollars for it, and I gotta say, it was exactly what I was expecting. The Beef lo me in was tasty, good noodles, good beef, but the wonton soup had no real flavor in it (kinda weak imo). I will be ordering from here again, but I will want to try something different. Also the lady at the counter was very nice

Some of the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Absolutely terrible, everything was disgusting, big mistake ordering from here. Will not make that mistake again...

Paid 2.99 for teriyaki beef and chicken wings and this is what i get? And general tso is just sweet no spice at all chow main was gross and all vegetables not even chow mein. All in all will never be eating here again.

Moved to the other side of Orlando I still drive here because this is the best place around.

Wanted the buffet, but that is only a lunch option, but did enjoy the choices off the menu and the service was good.

The food took forever to get delivered and it was cold.. Soggy cold shrimp isn't very appetizing, even after reheating. The dips tasted like medicine so they were trashed. What a disappointment, I was craving Chinese all day and what I ended up with was so bad my craving has sworn me off Chinese for a very long time.

The food is not bad, but the kitchen needs to pay attention to the orders coming in. Ordered 2 dishes with different additions to it, they just mixed it all together and gave 2 of the same things. Very disappointing. Going to need to find somewhere else to do delivery if this keeps happening.

Just ordered from here LOVE IT! Food was FRESH, WARM & Everything was exactly as we ordered. Made one meal extra spicy 🌶 they did it. My BF’s meal was delicious also. I had to write a review because i order out a lot on the apps & quite often food is missing or cold. It was so nice to get food that u would get if u were at the restaurant. Usually I would say this place is great. Last week for the first time my order was not good! Chicken wings were burnt had too much red seasoning like sazon?! New delivery guy didn't hound me for a tip. Person mentioned the delivery guy wanting more tip money. Which I gave him 10 bucks once bc it was Christmas time I guess he thought it would be like that every time..lol

This by far was NOT the best Chinese food I've had, but it worked in a pinch and we were really hungry. The complimentary appetizer of fried wonton strips with a sweet dipping sauce was stale. The Pu Pu platter was really oily/greasy with a lingering taste of not so fresh oil. Mixed veggies with tofu was in a heavy sauce and not flavorful at all, but the veggies were cooked perfectly.... Soft with a bit of crisp still left. The waitress was super sweet and very accommodating to any requests. Tea was good and soups were okay. As I walked back to the restroom, I got a glance of what the chef was eating and wow..it looked great..light and fresh...veggies..fish.. I have no doubt that his food tasted terrific. Unfortunately there was nothing like it on the menu. I say it is time for this place to toss some of the outdated, greasy, fried, heavy sauced traditional Americanized Chinese food and cook for others what they cook for themselves! I'd guess the restaurant with only 2 patrons while we were there could attract a lot more customers.

The best chinese food. Shrimp fried rice with lots of shrimp and the seasoning is just good! Highly recommend!

This place is great. I have never done delivery so I can't comment on that. Pick up goes smooth and the ordering process is easy. Easy to understand. The food is great! I recommend the Beef lomein, chicken wings and Pepper steak.

My family and I have been coming here for a couple years. We love the food and we have never had to wait, it was always ready when they said it would be. I forgot my mask one time and the young man offered me a free one and he is always very nice and attentive, great service! The people who have made negative comments about their food being late or a driver asking for a tip, y'all are a bunch of karens! First, things happen and sometimes its out of their control. Second, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS TIP YOUR DRIVER OR PICK IT UP YOURSELF. You have clearly never worked a day in the food industry and I personally HATE dealing with customers like you. China Chef you do a great job and I'll see you again soon (:

The fried rice and my main dish (General Tso's Chicken) were very good, but the egg roll was meh.

Este buffet es un lugar pequeño, pero tiene todo lo que espero conseguir en un buffet chino, tiene arroz frito, camarones fritos, pollo a la naranja, a la Bourbon, pollo con brócoli, pollo Teriyaki, beef con Vegetales, camarones con vegetales, tofú con vegetales, pasta de arroz, eggs rolls, Springs rolls, plátano frito, helados, gelatina, fruta cortada, galletas, tortas y muchos platos más. Es un lugar para ir y comer sin pretensiones y sorprenderte por lo preciso de sus sabores. Puedes comer todo cuanto quieras por un bajo precio. El lugar está limpio y la atención de su dueño es amable.

It’s way better than I expected, although it isn’t authentic Chinese food, but American-Chinese food, it’s such an incredible daily/weekly experience.

Somehow this amazing little place keeps getting better EVERY TIME I come back. It's not the size of the selection but the quality of their product. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Googled for chinese food and China Chef has good review, so we tried it and the review was right. The hot tea was really hot. we ordered general's tsu chicken and lo mein and it was really good.we recommend this place.
