One of the least consistent Chipotle locations around. Mobile orders will not receive "extra" toppings when requested, despite the additional cost. When students are not in session, the staff couldn't care less about customers and have a party the whole shift. When students are in session, they will instead give nasty attitudes and poor service. If you're really desperate for a burrito, Main Street offers at least 4 additional options within walking distance.

The food here made me sick. Ordered a vegan burrito online for pickup. Got the food, took it home, noticed the burrito was shockingly small but nbd I think bc there's no meat in it. I go to pick it up and its soaking wet, I assume from bean juice but nbd again, I can live with that. Take a bite and it's full of cheese. Literally congealed, dripping with moisture, from just the copious amounts of sloppy shredded cheese. Definitely off its date, and definitely not vegan friendly. Ingredients in my food are not just a preference, I have serious allergies and reactions to foods and I HAVE to order meatfree/dairyfree because of it. You can't just choose to add cheese to my order. I even tipped on a pickup order and still went home with an inedible $15 burrito. And to think the portions were already so small but you had room to add extra ingredients to mine and my boyfriend's dinners. Luckily he has no allergies so he ate his, I threw mine away.

There was a hair in my food. So disgusting and had to throw it away. Also portion isn’t the same as when I get delivery and go in person. Disappointed bc I love chipotle.

Ashley was amazing and provided top rate customer service! The computer went down when we were there and she personally helped me figure out how to get my food through the app.

Chipotle is a family favorite. The food is always fresh and delicious. We constantly get the same taste and quality. The staff are friendly and efficient. Sometimes we eat in but this time we got takeout. I wanted to get a picture of my daughter's burrito but she started eating it before we got in the car. I love the flavor the corn salsa adds to my bowl

The food was horrible I found plastic in my food the lady made my food fast was very disrespectful I wanted to get a medium cup but she gave me a small cup and I didn’t want that. The food that I ordered was cold it was nasty I believe the sour cream was expired extremely watery didn’t enjoy it. Never again thank you very much but never again and I did not put anything in my food except my sauces.

I placed a mobile order through the Chipotle app and the app said the restaurant was open until 11 PM. The Google Maps information also agreed with this closing time. When I arrived at 10 PM the door was locked and the employees were cleaning and wouldn't acknowledge me. They charged me for the order and never bothered to refund me for the food that they never made.

Employees were on their phones not paying attention, stood around for a while waiting for them to notice I was there. Gave me about 12 pounds of rice and lettuce and about 2 pieces of chicken. Really disappointing .

Underwhelming to say. The portion size was extra large with rice and corn. What made the experience awful was the employee who believes it's okay to smoke on break, be on their phone return and make food without washing her hands. Also put hair net in that awful weave.

I arrived around 9:50 pm and they said that they’re closed, even though online, it says that they don’t close until 11 pm. When I mentioned what their online hours say, they said that they “rarely close at 11”.

This is the worst Chipotle you can visit in Delaware, aside from the one on 202. They routinely burn the chicken, serve hard rice, clumpy queso, and apparently don’t know how to roll a burrito… all this and you still have to pay full price for food the crew is obviously still practicing how to master. At least slash the prices. Smh

I ordered el pastor quesadilla online. The quesadilla barely had any chicken in it. It was plain tortilla. I also ordered chips and corn. The corn container was half empty, broken chips.

Wow nothing better than a chicken bowl on your Sunday afternoon (besides Chilis). Unfortunately this is maybe the worst chipotles in the mid Atlantic. I can’t remember the last time everything on their menu was in stock. The workers are always miserable, and try to tell us that our gift cards don’t have any balance left. I can’t remember when the ice machine worked and let alone the fountain drinks working. Today they were out of chicken and steak. Wow. It’s 5pm on a Sunday. Don’t get me started on the atmosphere. Like, it can be lit, but it also kinda sucks. Everything is dirty, music isn’t it, and they don’t welcome you like Moes does. How hard is it to say “welcome to chip”. It would make our day. Anyway, see you next Sunday.

Mobile Order was not at Mobile Pick up station. Walked to front desk for order and the order was tossed to me in a nonchalant manner.

Hot. MESS. Brought my teen - pretty sure if U of D was in her sights, she'd change her mind just because she loves Chipotle so much and wouldn't tolerate this place as her "Chipotle choice" for 4 years of her life. NONE of the fountain drinks were working (no syrup, seltzer spraying all over, ice dispenser not working), none of the specialty drinks were filled and two were empty. NO CHIPS. Like really? No chips?? At 7pm? That's like McDonald's saying they don't have fries. Cashier was preoccupied with her phone that she had at the register with her and kept looking at it when she didn't have a customer. Probably why she miscounted cups for the fountain drinks we ordered (we ordered 2 - she gave us 1...we're not talking counting on more than one hand). Food was subpar and the restaraunt was a MESS. Trash all over the floor, overfilled trash cans, drink/condiment/utensil area just atrocious. I get it's a college town. But any other restaurant you go to on that strip of Main Street isn't showing out like that so be forewarned and take your money and your appetite elsewhere.

So I’ve gone here twice total and the first time they were completely out of all meats and the second time they were fully out of rice this place sucks I’ll just go to a different chipotle

The food was ok,but the server could have given me more rice and veggies too. I had to asked for more beans. I purchased a vegetable bowl.

I’ve been eating at this location for years and the portion sizes seem to have been cut in half. Pretty disappointed because I think prices have also gone up over the last two years.

the people who work here are literal idiots. half the time my orders incorrectly made or missing things. for example, a quesadilla ordered with only cheese, steak & rice, was entirely dismembered & missing the CHEESE. in the QUESAdilla.

Barbaoa Tacos with Queso Blanco was amazingly delicious. 👏 Crews here were friendly. What else could I say more? I definitely want to revisit here.

You never know what quality you are going to get at this place. Recently its mostly bad- dry beans, hard rice, and horrible guac. I believe they should better train the staff. The guac yesterday didnt even taste like guac- very disappointing.

What a disappointment. $40 for small portions, dirty environment, empty napkin holder, cold food, items left out of the order and incredibly rude service from eye rolling employees slapping food together. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Gentlemen taking the order for toppings was rushing me to say what I wanted. Then he didn't put the corn on. I was nervous so I didn't notice. He had a rude tone of voice.

If I could rate a 0 out of 5 for all categories I would. The portions were simply ridiculous. The burrito I got wouldn’t satisfy a mouse. Tried to attach a picture because it’s simply atrocious. They also ran out of guac. I don’t plan on coming back. This franchise is just horribly run. The service was awful as well. The workers were rude. It’s one thing to have an off day, but I’ve had these occurrences over and over again. This wasn’t an off day, it’s just a typical day at this Chipotle. Everyone would be better served at El Diablo, Qdoba, or Santa Fe.

They let you completely customize your burrito or bowl. They provide good service, and reasonable prices.

It's a nice Chipotle but they need to learn how to clean the restaurant better. All the tables are all dirty and they have trash literally sitting right underneath the register. There's one extra person here that can clean up but she's just standing around waiting for things that come in.

I ordered a burrito and as usual the meat and toppings were being skimped on. I made mention to please add more. I didn't like the fact the last person at the station wore the same gloves he used to wrap my burrito with to ring me up at the cash register. Not sanitary. No changing out gloves? Gross. I got queso on my burrito and it taste off. It taste old like it's been sitting and I came around 1105am. So idk what's up with that. Food is ok..

I ordered on Grubhub as I am a college student with no car and my bowl only had 3 beans and 4 pieces of chicken (not an exaggeration) as well as it being the wrong chicken, no corn and no guacamole that I paid too much extra for!!! I literally cried over this and they can’t even answer the phone

Employee asked if I wanted salsa and I said, yes on the side please, then put a generous helping ON the burrito anyway. Ruined it.

If you want to play the Mystery Game with your food, order doordash from this Chipotle. It’s super fun. You have to guess what’s in the box because it’s not the food you ordered. That’s a guarantee! And items might even be missing. Yes! So fun.

I went there at 9.30 pm and were told by an employee who was cleaning the floor that they already closed and put away most of the meat. I asked why close early and he replied there was no customer. However I went to the counter anyway and saw all the meat were there apart from few sides missing. I felt really disappointed but ordered some food anyway as was hungry. Worst experience ever.

DO NOT ODER FROM THIS CHIPOTLE!! If this wasn’t the closest chipotle to my job, I’d never order from them. Every time I order something through the website, they forget to include it in the bag. This has happened several times and is quite upsetting. Clearly the employees here do not know how to do their job.

It's honestly pretty hit or miss. I've had about half of my orders come out wrong and was told today that their QR scanner wasn't working so I couldn't claim my free entree(that's entirely fair but it happens more often than is acceptable) . I either had to buy my meal(~$30 for two peoples food) or leave it. I hope it didn't just get thrown away.

I’m posting in a sad attempt to warn people before they too get sick. I ordered a veggie burrito and queso blanco with chips this evening and with in 20 minutes of eating I had the most horrific stomach pain. Then an hour later I found myself puking my guts out.

Every time i order online my food is like half the size it should be. today i got a burrito through doordash that was literally 1/4 of normal portions. you should not be able to fold the burrito that many times, those ingredients should be spilling out

Used to loveeeee this Chipotle! Would order through DoorDash for lunch often. This past Thursday I ordered and ate it and by late Thursday night I had food poisoning. It wasn’t my other meals because other people ate what I had eaten… except Chipotle. Unfortunately I will not be getting Chipotle again after the experience I had last night. 🤢

I was there in 2014/5. It was my favourite place for launch. Beef, black beans and Guatemala sauce was my besties :)

Pick up service is horrible. They always forget something on my order and never provide utensils! Never doing pick up from this Chipotle ever again.

Not sure about the quality of the food, they had a sign on the door saying "to go orders only" and when we walked in to ask we were yelled at by staff "we're closed". If you're closed, put a sign on the door and change your hours.

Obviously this location is declining in quality. They were closed before normal closing hours.

I ordered online. This was terrible. Every order out of four was wrong, missing proteins, beans added to orders for people with allergies, etc.. When we got there, the restaurant was already thronged with dissatisfied customers, so much so that they were turning away walk in customers. Don't go here on Tuesday!

2022 Chipotle has changed the last 3 times I visited which was after 1 pm.The place was dirty and low on food and bottle drinks. The self serve drink area was messy, soda was just carbonated no flavor. It was our go to for lunch. Hoping they get it together.

The worse experience at a Chipotle. Ordered online for pick up... they forgot to hand us our cups for my daughter's drink, they only gave me 3 of the toppings for my burrito bowl (small scoop of beans, sofritas, and small scoop of veggies). The rest of my toppings were given to my husband who could not eat them. Dinner was ruined and most uneaten. Reached out via app for a refund and denied a refund, only a coupon for BOGO. Because Chipotle can't make it right, we prob wont go back.

Ordered delivery from here twice, and both times the order has been wrong. Ask for "extra"=you get hardly anything. Ask for something on the side=they put it right on the bowl. Worst chipotle, go to the one in Elkton instead.

The service is great and the food is delicious at this location. I placed an online order for 8, but it wasn't ready until 8:15 because it was so busy. It happens. I still love this location. Update: for a beautiful Saturday with the area being busy, it was so quiet. I ordered, paid, and left within 5-7 mins.

I don't particularly like chipotle, but my wife LOVES Chipotle. With that being said, when I order food THIS Chipotle is stingy about cheese. If you enjoy a lot of cheese you may have to ask multiple times for more cheese. That is why I didn't go 5 stars. But there are many positives with this location. If the customer orders quickly the line will move fast, I don't worry too much about the line being half way to the back of the store. It's well run even when things get busy the small stuff is taken care of soda doesn't run out of syrup, napkins, plasticware, and sauces are filled. Its very rare if this location makes a mistake for online orders.

Some of the The chips were oily and too hard to eat. The guacamole had large pieces in it and one was pulp amd not edible.

Chipotle never disappoints, they've got a variety of big filling burritos! Also if you order a bowl & ask for the tortillas on side you tend to get a bit more yumm, for your hard-earned money. This Newark location, is one of my favorites 😋

Just make sure you call if you're going to order ahead that they have the things you need.

I visited 136 E Main St, Newark, DE 19711 on December 2020. We had a BOGO coupon. We ordered only two entrees for take out, and they gave us only one receipt with the price of one entree. When I checked my credit card bill, I noticed they charged me twice. Scammers!

Steak was great in the bowl actually it all was(steak,white rice,shredded cheese 🙄dont judge me). I took 2 stars for no plain diced tomatoes that would of set this bowl off. Yea 2 cuz I would of got extra tomatoes so yea. I'd go again but now I know I have to add my own😩 and for those that say why didnt you just get salsa well inquiring mind I cant eat onions😒🤢

The food is great and the amount is good.I did not like the seating arrangements or ambience but the staff are really warm and makes you feel welcome.

Today's visit was average as the rice was undercooked. I was looking to try the cauliflower rice but that looked to be overcooked and burnt. Chips and queso were delish though.

I accidentally placed my pick up for the Newark location while using the app. I realized just minutes before my pick up time. I called asking if it was possible to cancel thinking it was too late. But the manager was understanding and took care of cancelling order for me. It was great customer service and I’ll be sure to pay them visit next time I’m in the area

Love their bowls! Last time we had the chicken bowl and the chicken was very fatty. It is usually very good. We will be back again!
