I had a pleasant dining experience at this establishment. The waitress was courteous, and I enjoyed the queso fundido and tacos de pastor. The food was flavorful, and the total cost for four people was $88.

My Bf and I went ladt weekend about an hour before they closed. Service was great and food was great. Good size portions for your buck. I recommend you give it a shot if you are in the ares. English is not the best but nice people.

Best Mexican food. The service is wonderful, the salsas vary almost daily. I love the enchiladas and quesadillas. Plus its BYOB!

Great burrito but tacos are terrible; and this is coming from a person that is familiar with Mexican cuisine! service was ok. Best part is the flan and tres leches. We tried it and it was good but don’t try to order a cake for a party here. The baker rips you off. Tried to charge me $55 for a tres leches with Pineapple that serves 20 people and a flan for 10 people $40. Thats crazy. When i called to ask for the price of a tres leches without the fruit it was the same price. I guess they think people are stupid or desperate and will pay that!

Great Mexican food! Definitely not fancy. Very nice service, though they speak limited English. Chicken mole is stand out. BYOB.

La peor experiencia vinimos desde otro estado y quisimos pasar un rato agradable en familia luego de estar en la playa pero los platos salieron a las dos horas, nos dieron lo que no era y faltaron cosas. Pésimo servicio

We were on a road trip and stumbled upon this mexican restaurant, people are smiling, I love the mexican flavor here, the food is fresh, they serve me fresh cactus with my steak, i like the freshness, the appetizer and crispy nacho. They have a parking at the back. I hope to come back

This is my go-to spot when I’m in Belmar. The restaurant is very nice and the food is delicious. Sometimes the service can be a little slow but I usually don’t mind hanging out and enjoying the atmosphere. BYOB and they give you chips and salsa. If you are in a rush I recommend ordering ahead.

my new favorite restuarant in belmar! the food was absolutely incredible, super fresh and amazing presentation. they also give you a huge portion of food so it’s very filling and tasty. our waitress taña was amazing, very attentive and super nice person. the atmosphere, incredible. beautifully decorated. very authentically mexican. great place for a date or getting food with friends/family !

Found this Mexican Restaurant close by and decided to eat there for the night, with my family. Entering it was quite beautiful, but the restaurant looked quite full. Nonetheless, our hopes were high but we were fooled by the decorations and aesthetic. Outrageously, our food took over an hour to arrive and the staff there seemed quite slow. They had messed up our order, and took more then an hour just to make Fries and Chicken Strips for my daughter!! I’d not recommend this restaurant unless your schedule is free for the next hour and a half if you ever plan on going during the night

if I could leave less than a star I would. Not only did they not deliver within an hour but they claimed they did and hung up on me. I called back and they would not answer. Then they showed up when I contacted american express. The food was ice cold. The most horrible delivery experience I have ever had. Will never go back. Tossed the food into the trash

Caldo de res and fajitas with beef, shrimp, and chicken took over 30 minutes to arrive. It seemed their business wasn't streamlined, as I only saw two other parties that came after we ordered, so it wasn't clear what was causing the delay. However, you could probably bring your laptop and do work while waiting. They let us sit anywhere. The tables are a little closely arranged, which would probably suit larger parties well. It is comfortable inside. The food was under $40 for two people and lasted for over two filling meals. It tasted great, including the complimentary salsa and chips.

Decent food. Long wait. Sadly, we found some small pieces of plastic in our food, after we almost finished.

The restaurant is colorful in nature inside and out. The thick wood tables and decor give you a true authentic mexican vibe. The menu has many options including veggie. The server offered a pleasant greeting and after requesting our drinks got the chips and salsa out asap. This is a BYOB. Even with a lil language barrier she assisted and ensured our requests were met. The complimentary salsa, verde and chips were tasty. We ordered the enchiladas. One veggie and one shrimp. Waiting for the food gave us enough time to enjoy the basket of chips/salsa and enjoy the environment and kill a few Corona's. When the food arrived it was smoking and the optics where eye popping. It looked like a masterpiece and was worth the wait. The molé sauce was superb and kept me asking for more! The veggie came with red sauce on the side as requested and had the heat. Perfect tly cooked. I did notice a few things on the menu that I would like to try so we will be back. This is not the average taco joint. It is a foodie delight! Enjoy

Hoy hice una orden y olvidaron mi soda al llamar me dicen q otro día me la mandan q es eso no saben resolver un problema obviamente ya la pague me la tienen q traer pero no crean. Un problema donde no lo hay necesitan mucha atención al cliente ya no ordenaba yo ahí x lo mismo y quise volver a regresar pero con lo de hoy no creo q lo haga entonces si se trata de una comida otro día lo mandan mientras tanto la persona se quedaría sin comer estas pequeñas cosas hacen q pierdan clientes

Una porquería de servicio tanto en el restaurante como en el deliver es la última ves que pido en ese lugar tan asqueroso se tardan dos oras para un deliver y la comida es una porquería no saben aser nada bien. Nose si los. Dueños no ponen cuidado de su gente que tienen trabajando allí o ellos no les interesa la clientela. Pedí un Molcajete y esto me mandaron puro tomate. 😡😡😡

Awesome authentic food. Service was great.. you have to try their fruit juices as their melon juice was amazing. Food was great and portions were large. We ordered the enchiladas and they were spot on. I would definitely come back for more!!

Amazing, fresh and delicious. Stopped in after a day at the beach pleanty of parking on Main St in Belmar, service was great, food was phenomenal. Try the steak and nopales (cactus) fundito. I'm still dreaming about it.

Excellent, authentic Mexican food. I was looking at 4.0 rating and thinking hmmm... Do not look at the google rating if you want to find good Mexican food in the middle of USA. Highly recommend for a stop on the way home after a day in the beach.

Wow. Was just strolling down the street....it does not get more autentic than this. It really is "un poco de Mexico en New Jersey" Service is great. On Saturday early lunch it was packed by 11 and I was only non Spanish speaker in the house....food was not fast...I actually saw my vegetables being chopped before making it onto the plate that came to my table. So be prepared to wait a bit.

Authentic and reasonably priced

"So full" are the only words I've heard since we left. Our favorite mexican restaurant in town closed so we had to find someplace new. This place is adorable inside and out, you don't want to miss it. The food is simply put amazing and portions are plentiful. Top it all off with a friendly, courteous staff and you'll never want to leave.

Terrific food. Definitely a more genuine Mexican offering at Cielito Lindo. Cozy fun atmosphere, family run feel. Perfectly sized portions. Staff is quick and unobtrusive. Very clean. Take out available. Street parking.

On a Saturday night, service was horrible. The place wasn’t even full, they had two waitresses and each took at least 7-10 minutes to bring us what we asked for. This happened continuously thought the dinner. Not very happy honestly and the food was decent.

It was a bit warm in the restaurant. In their defense, it was 92 degrees. Food was absolutely worth the warm restaurant. Best Mexican around.

Went with friends who have been here before. We give 5 stars to our waitress Francesca, she was very welcoming, friendly, and could communicate with us (none of us speak the language so this was helpful) She made recommendations and we followed her lead. This evening, the jalapeno's were very mild so the dishes were not at all spicy but we added hot sauce so it was fine. Last trip the jalapeños were very hot so we didn't ask for anything to be kicked up if you will. We shared app's which were also very good and ordered a plate of sweet banana's that were fantastic! BTW, they were not on menu but they DO make them! Three people had the carnitas con rajas #54 the pork dish. They all enjoyed it. I had the mexican shrimp, this was very mild, but again the jalapeno's were not hot this trip. Last person had the steak. Thinly sliced grilled steak but he said it was tasty. Portions are generous, rice and beans are good. I think they can step up the seasoning but may be because the peppers were so mild. The main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the night was a hot one and the air does not feel like it is on. Because of this, we had fruit flies around the table and back wall behind us. I would go back to try more dishes but on a much cooler evening to see if it makes a difference with the fruit flies.Very nice people is also a reason to go back, cheers Francesca!

Since my wife and tried this Mexican restaurant back at Tennessee, we hoped it would the same here. They did not dissappoint. Great food and prices were very reasonable. So dont come here without your appetite and bring $20 per person with tip. You wont be hungry no more.

Authentic and generous portions

I really enjoy the food at Cielito Lindo. I've never had anything I didn't like. If I'm hungry it's the Nachos Mixtos, if you want classic Mexican fare the tacos are delicious. If you're sitting to eat expect it to be a little while. The kitchen is small and everything seems to move a little slow. The waitresses are kind and you may have to get their attention but no one is mean or rude. Definitely worth checking out if your in Belmar!
