Excellent food, great service in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

good home cooking! i came for a private event and everything was delicious! fried chicken wings, bbq ribs, fried fish, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, corn, green salad, and peach cobbler a la mode. the staff was very nice, and the venue was perfect for an intimate group dinner. can't wait to come back during normal hours to check out their extensive menu.

Le’Chanel catered an event we had, and it was truly wonderful! They went back and forth with us to find something perfect for our price range and number of attendees, had everything hot and ready for us, and even helped us out with supplies to plate it and make it look beautiful. It was a huge hit and we’d absolutely use them again in the future!

C n L’s was absolutely amazing! The service was great. Ms. Lisa made us feel like family and was super sweet and inviting. The food tasted like a southern black woman’s food. IYKYK! 100/10 experience ! Highly recommend!

Fantastic food — freshest ingredients, amazing preparation, and the friendliest service in the world! Good things come to those who wait, plan on a leisurely meal not a quick bite. We loved the red beans, catfish, ribs, jambalaya and grilled corn.

I went around 12:00 p.m. I saw a post of her ya ki mein. Mind you, I don't like ya ki mein, but La Chanel 's taste was exquisite. I mean, I didn't need the soy sauce at all bc the flavor was so good. Now, I'll eat hers!!!

This is now La Chanel's restaurant and it's so frickin good. A few meals worth of food and leftovers for a very reasonable price. The owners are lovely and very attentive. It definitely gives those family vibes. The Mac n cheese and red beans were the best. It'll be hard to go anywhere else with food this good right around the corner. 15/10.

It's a small, very nice, clean restaurant in the middle of a residential area. The owners were super friendly and we were well advised and looked after. The food was authentic and delicious, every time.

The day after Jazz Fest ended we took a streetcar ride uptown on Carrollton. At lunchtime, C&L Restaurant popped up on Google Maps with good reviews. We got off at Hickory Street and walked about five short blocks. The working-class neighborhood, shabby in spots, is certainly not a usual tourist destination but we felt completely safe. C&L was worth the walk. We were welcomed like family by the husband-and-wife owners and the experience was like having lunch in someone's home. My wife had the Taste of New Orleans platter and I had the fried chicken wings, both with brewed iced tea. The menu was fairly extensive, the food was delicious, service was delightful, and the prices a bargain compared to downtown restaurants. We recommend it for a real New Orleans experience, genuine home cooking and really nice people.

We went there for lunch on Thursday, but they were closed. Please update hours and we may try again next time we are in NOLA.

The only reason I give it a 1 star is because they never answer the phone they say their open but when I go around there they close is y’all open or back close due to COVID I really want to try you guys food I’m a huge food lover

Currently running as to go, but have space if you call ahead. Darrell was accommodating and showed me great hospitality. Even though they were limited in supplies due to the current circumstances, he hooked me up with some delicious chicken wings and a yummy slice of bread pudding.

The food was absolutely excellent! I had the ribs and couldn't recommend it enough. Darryl was so nice to us and asked us about our trip. We will surely visit again next time we are in new orleans.

Breakfast was top notch! Every bit of it taste amazing. The wait was a little longer than expected but it was worth it in the end.

The food was OMG. I had the crab cake platter and sweet tea. The tea was sweetened to perfection and the crab cakes were tender and melt in your mouth. I will come here more often.

Excellent! The proprietors are such lovely people. Best customer service I recieved in the 6 months I lived in New Orleans, hands down! Like going to my Auntie's for lunch or dinner. The food is near perfect & the sweet tea reminded me of Houston, my second home. A "must visit" destination for great food and even better conversation!

The food and the family over at C & L are the best! Great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wholesome place, food is delicious, and the people are the sweetest, & friendliest in the city.

I ordered a breakfast there and it was cooked to PERFECTION. The Bacon was crispy, eggs flavorful and the pancakes were buttery and delicious. I would definitely recommend!

All their food is great, the service is great, the place is clean and classy. I have it on my schedule to go there twice a month. I will make time for more visits because I use it to show off to business clients. When I say classy I really mean it. They even have a VIP room. I have two parties I will be giving there this summer. When you take someone there, go in to let them know you will be coming there to show off. They will act like they know you even if it's your first time there. After the first time you go, they always remember you. I love it when they ask me will I have my usual in front of those I bring in. I feel like a star.

We were visiting NOLA and found this gem on our way back from the trolley. Very clean, cozy place. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful; I had the chicken and waffles, yum yum. Give it a try, highly recommended.
