I tried this place on a whim when spending the day in Newnan. I am so glad I did! The food was so tasty (corned beef hash benny and cheese grits)!! All of the staff was so kind and so were the patrons. It is a smaller place that may have a wait but it is 100% worth it!!

It was fan-tastic! If you have a peanut allergy be rest assured it is peanut free! They are also very conscious about allergies so let them know. The French toast was delightful and everyone left very full. My cousin's plan to go again since I am from another state.

What a wonderful surprise! From the friendly greeting to the last bite of delicious food, our group of eight thoroughly enjoyed our stop here. This is how it's done folks!

My husband and I stumbled on this cafe’ looking for breakfast in Newnan on Saturday morning while traveling to ATL. The cafe is quaint and cute with old fashioned diner vibes. The staff was warm and welcoming. Rebecca was our server and was very attentive and kind. The omelets were amazing! I had the cheesesteak omelet and hubby had the smoked salmon and cream cheese omelet. The accompanying home fries and grits with goat cheese were delicious as well. Service was prompt and to top it off, we received a cute little sugar cookie on check out made by “Mom.” Highly recommend this cafe for #breakfast in #NewnanGa

This is such a great meal for breakfast. If you never had professional chef food this is your chance. This is the breakfast that you get with personal chef style. Cornbeef Benedict awesome, pancakes HUGE fluffy and tasty.

Not the best Western omelet I ever had. Home fries were way too overcooked and salty. Don't see myself going back.

The grits were so creamy. Such a great staff- seemed very team oriented. I can see how they have a wait for a table. Classic eggs Benedict were so good. French could be a little more done for me

What an amazing find. Doesn't look much from the outside but what it lacks in charm from the outside certainly is made up for with the quality of food and OUTSTANDING hospitality. This is one fantastic hidden gem.

At Cafe’ 1485, superb flavors with every bite. From fluffy pancakes to biscuits and gravy Chef Darrin’s recipes are phenomenal, it’s a warm hug for your taste buds. No Michelin stars needed—just loyal locals and amazing cuisine.

I had the cheesesteak omelette and my wife had the mushroom and goat cheese omelette and they were both delicious. My wife and I were so impressed the next day we went back and I got a ruben and my wife got a cubano both of which were also amazing. We’ll definitely be back for more.

I could not find a thing to complain about, except that I live too far from this place to make it a regular stop. Great meatlovers omlett, French toast, and cheese grits. Amazing. Staff attentive and friendly. I will be back when we come back thru Newnan!

If my mom opened up a restaurant it’d be a lot like this place. Felt like home. Price is right on tv and the home style food was like a time warp to my childhood. Great spot. Very friendly people. Hope it never changes.

Small restaurant and I hope it stays that way. Family owned and operated. (I think) I normally order an omelette and am always more than satisfied with the size and fresh ingredients. My wife and I frequent her at least two times a month and have never been let down. Restaurant is always clean, staff friendly. Oldie but goodie classics on the TV is just a bonus! If you like small town atmosphere and good, fresh food this is the place.

This little cafe is a giant when it comes to amazing and prompt service, and the best breakfast you will find. The home fries are soooo good. The sausage taste like it’s fresh off the farm. The eggs are the best available. Chef cooks it all to order and with perfection! The awesome customer service is provided by a small wait staff of only two to three individuals who work hard to meet customers needs and requests. Cafe 1485 is now my “go to” breakfast spot! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The owners of Cafe 1485 bought some Girl Scout cookies from my daughter. We delivered the cookies and decided to support their business. Delicious. I really enjoy the staff and the food. My girls love the pancakes and I am over the moon for their gravy biscuits. We have started eating their after soccer games and I wish I lived closer. Highly recommend and it's a local owned business.

I drove an hour to Newnan, Ga, to meet with a friend who I had nor seen in 5 years who was visiting family who lived in Newnan. She was from out of state. We decided to meet for breakfast and found Cafe 1485 from a google search and decided to try it. We were not greeted when we walked in, and we waited a good while before the server finally acknowledged us and said she would be with us shortly. Not good, it appeared to be a bother to even wait on us. We ordered and the food came out in good time. We had finished eating and we’re still visiting and talking for a few. The bill was placed on the table and I asked for a refill on coffee and my friend asked for coffee. The server appeared to be annoyed that we wanted something else. The owner or manager came by to ask if we were finished and I stated we were visiting from out of town and really did not think anything of it. Most people sit and chat after a meal. But then she came over and said to us in front of the entire restaurant “ for real this time, you have to leave, I have other people waiting for tables….WOW! and I said in a joking manner, oh so you are telling us to leave? I did not see her treat anyone else who had been sitting longer at tables that way. WOW! I’m not ever one to talk about race but we were to African American women and yes, we lingered a little while after the meal and asked for another cup of coffee but it was not an unusual amount of time nor did I think it was out of the ordinary, in a restaurant, to linger for a few minutes after a meal. Literally it was about 10 to 15 minutes. We left respectfully but as I thought about this, I could not really just let this go unmentioned. And no, for the record I’m an not angry but appalled that we were treated that way being paying customers visiting Cafe 1485. Not a great experience!!! I will not visit this restaurant again and for this reason, I will not recommend it. I bet that it’s a small spot but I’m wondering if this is really how they treat ALL customers who linger after a meal??? Even so, the way in which things are said, makes a huge difference! Again, not good service!

Had a lovely lunch today at this quaint cafe! Great service and food. My partner LOVED her fish and chips and I really loved the special cod sandwich. Fries came out hot and crispy and the grits were flavorful and creamy. It’s a small establishment with about 10 tables so you may have to wait during peak times. Wish there were more places that still had this charm and quality - highly recommend!

We tried this cafe for the first time today and loved our experience. The menu is loaded with options and they list any local ingredients they use and the farms that they come from on their menu (definitely not the norm in Newnan) AND what type of oils they use in their fryer, etc. which have NO SOY! Great for those of us with allergies! The staff was friendly (but not overbearing), fast, and efficient. My girlfriend loved her cod fish sandwich (the day's specials) and grits (she's does not give a good rating for grits to just anyone!) and I loved the pollock fish and chips (regular menu item), both huge portions for under $13. I dinged one star on atmosphere only because the restroom needed some attention while we were there and the wall above our table was a bit dirty, but everything else made up for that. We look forward to going back the next time we're in town and are grateful for an option in Newnan that isn't a chain restaurant!

DELICIOUS! The phone didn’t get to eat first this time🤭 My family and I ordered a veggie omelette🫑, cheesesteak omelette special , pancakes🥞 , and AMAZING grits. The food stayed warm the whole drive! I loved how cheesy 🧀 and full of flavor everything was. It reminded us of back home in NJ where we would get breakfast from a mom and pop shop. The staff is also going to make your day! The girl at the front was so kind and of course the owners Veronica and Darrin are the best as well. Our new favorite brunch/breakfast spot. You won’t regret trying it. THANK YOU CAFE 1485❤️

This is by far the best place to have breakfast at in Newnan! The food is fantastic and home made. The atmosphere will bring you back to the early 2000's and the service is fantastic! The owners and staff are friendly and very caring!

The portions are plentiful and my Reuben sandwich was delicious! My husband ordered the cheese steak omelette and he enjoyed it but thought it was a little dry. The service was very friendly. They even have a self-serve coffee bar so you don’t have to wait on someone to refill your coffee cup. It’s not very big, so you might want to call ahead if you have a big party. I definitely can’t wait to go back again.

I had the pleasure of attending an event catered by Cafe 1485 tonight. Chef Darrin prepared an amazing spread of delicious food. His passion for sourcing and preparing high-quality ingredients, combined with presentation, and his personable demeanor means Cafe 1485 gets two thumbs up!

Super friendly, fast service... and food was AWESOME! About 10x better than waffle house (and I love me some waffle house lol)

Have frequented this restaurant numerous times and loved it. It’s our go-to place to take potential clients for a hearty meal and hometown feel. Our last visit was rudely interrupted by a server (tall woman w/dark hair & eyebrows) asking us if we needed anything else, once we replied No, she stated we needed to wrap it up as others were waiting for a table. We were horrified & embarrassed! Her actions were uncalled for and downright rude. Breaks our hearts to say we will NEVER be back or recommend 1485. Thank You.

Not only was the food great, but I came with my 2 toddlers and this was the most kid friendly restaurant I’ve been to. Multiple servers came to help get them set up with booster chairs, kids cups, kids silverware and disposable place mats. Fantastic experience that made eating out with little ones much easier.

I stumbled across this gem after getting bloodwork, starved and in need of food and coffee I was on the hunt for something that could provide both. It’s in an unassuming location in a strip mall, these can be hit or miss at times but hot damn it was a huge HIT. Very mom and pop, family vibe, mom is beebopping around mom name tag and all, daughter is full of life, personality and I am sure a lot of love. You could feel it in the air as soon as you walked in like walking into your family kitchen it was so lovely. And I had not even eaten yet. Also added bonus old school Bob Barker Price is Right is playing on the TV. I ordered a cup of coffee and a vegetable omelet added ham subbed fries with grits. We are talking 10/10, so delicious. The grits are thick, lots of flavor, and exactly what anyone who wants legit grits is looking for. Taste before you salt by the way, they are good on their own. The omelet is huge, stacked to the nines with grilled veggies and hearty ham. I haven’t even left the restaurant yet and I am already planning on my return. My only disappointment is this they have been open for a year and I m just now finding them.

Get busy because it's soooo good but worth the wait!

I’ve tried to save the cafe a couple of times which is why I haven’t been there for the last couple of months. I work in the plaza and I feel like they are very selective of who they serve in the plaza . If someone works in a plaza and it’ll take 30 mins, I’m ok with that because I work for 9 hours. You mean to tell me you can’t service someone who has patronized the cafe more than 10x?! It’s outrageous. And I understand this is a mom and pop cafe but the customer service and how they handle people are horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This small quaint place is everything the billing led me to believe. We started with the Popplers, which are fried cheesy grits. Fantastic! A great cheesy and creamy taste of grits breaded and deep fried and served with a slightly spicy sauce (kinda like Zax sauce). These things were deeeelishus!! I ordered the smoked salmon and herb cream cheese omelette with the home fries and added sides of sausage and also a freshly made corned beef hash. All were amazing !! My better half had bacon, a regular pancake and a gingerbread pancake. The bacon was perfect. A solid salty flavor perfectly cooked crispy. The regular pancake was amazing!! Fluffy with a medium thickness and full of great flavor. Yummy!! The gingerbread pancake was pretty good as well, topped with peppermint bark and cream cheese. It was also very good and didn't even need syrup. This place is a MUST try for breakfast. I will most definitely go back for a lunch to try some of their other foods! Cafe 1485 is definitely a new favorite of mine! Cheers!

Great little place. First time. Holiday weekend, so there was a wait. I don't know if it is always that way or not. Food was definitely cooked for you, not an IHOP or waffle house. Their breakfast potatoes looked perfect. The corn beef was real not the stuff from a can you get most places. We don't know if Mom (nice lady seating people) was someone's mom there or just likes going by mom.

Mother of the family and daughter was extremely rude while people were trying to eat!

From hearing the family's "Good morning, Momma" to their mother to her homemade, miniature star sugar cookies that we received with our check, Cafe 1485 is a GREAT place to "come home to" for breakfast. Two thumbs up for all of our items - hash browns, sausage gravy biscuits, grits, pastrami and swiss omelette. Definitely will be returning and recommending to others!

First time visit... stopped in for lunch and they were moderately busy. Waitress was super nice and we sat immediately. Menu has lots of breakfast choices and for lunch several sandwiches or burger options. I had the turkey club and it was excellent. I recommend you give this place a try.

Heard great things about this place from Facebook, however, I’m greatly disappointed. The experience as a whole was definitely something, different. The staff was rude and very honest about their opinion on the food. I understand why they tried to clean the table, but I felt like my space was invaded and my breakfast kept getting interrupted as they tried to clean every little thing that was on the table, including sugar packets. The biscuits and gravy, which is raved about online, was a huge disappointment. Besides the mystery green in the dish, the canned “sausage”, and the spiciness, it looked like it would’ve been a great meal. The eggs tasted like they were cooking on the same grill as jalapeños, so the entire thing tasted like the pepper. Compared to Waffle House, the coffee is strong yet tastes brunt and like tree bark. Other than that, the French toast was good, but overall the rest of the experience left me feeling pretty disappointed.

My first time going to Cafe1485. Homemade food that is beyond expectations. Down home feel, with a happy, welcoming, polite staff. I will be recommending this establishment to everyone. Great job team Cafe1485!

This place is perfection for a little breakfast spot! I was looking for a place with something a bit different the mushroom and goat cheese omelette filled that order perfectly! The potatoes were some of the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The prices are also so reasonable it is crazy! The service was great with wonderful kite chatting throughout my meal! My coffee was always topped off which is what I need to get through the day!

The absolute best corned beef hash I've ever had. You will not find any better and I've had it all over the country. Owner and staff are great and all the food is delicious.

Nice atmosphere and everyone was friendly. However, my food was awful….Turkey bacon was burnt beyond recognition, my toast was crumbly, I didn’t even taste the grits I ordered after I found out that the cook added his own seasonings which was very visible, home fries were hot but they weren’t fully cooked all the way. My orange juice was spot on. I know they were busy after just opening but quality still outweighs quantity.

The pancakes are delicious and absolutely massive. I didn't get a photo before I started eating, but I ate about 1/3 of the stack and still have that much left. The bacon I got with it was perfectly crisp and tasted amazing. There is a self serve coffee bar and the coffee was brewed correctly and wasn't burnt. Staff is super friendly. Feels very homey and familiar. I would definitely eat here again.

Its jst a small place, but its cute. service is good. The food is just a typical breakfast , but you can't really cant messed up a breakfast , its the easiest thing to make. We tried it out because someone told my husband it was great and made a big deal about it. Its not bad but its not good either. Not a place I would go back to.

This honestly makes my top 5 breakfast places ever. The food was amazing! I seriously cannot find a single bad things to say. Bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, home fries, eggs, and pancakes are all amazing! The French toast also looks great. It was a very nice restaurant, a bit small, but the family that operates makes the most with what they have. Even with a light staff and small space we were seated quickly and food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I cannot recommend this enough!

My husband and I had brunch here and the food was amazing. We had the Sampler Breakfast and the Classic Sammie. All the food is very fresh as they obtain all their ingredients from local sources. The service was stellar. We will definitely be going back to try more from their menu.

Been there twice now. Clean and friendly, best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Philly cheese steak was delicious. Sho' nuff sliced steak with a nice sear, rich melty provolone, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the bread held up to my abuse. I'm a connoisseur of Philly cheesesteaks, and a lot of places let the bun get so soggy the bottom falls out and you end up eating it with a fork. Not the case here. They have great fries no matter what you get. Nice size, crispy golden on the outside, fluffy in the middle. The Yankee in me wanted some malt vinegar. Great food, you get what you pay for. And THANK YOU for offering medium cooked burgers. You can't get that anywhere but a steakhouse, I'll have to try one.

Highly recommend! Breakfast is on the menu all day which is always a plus! My husband had breakfast I went for lunch and both were spot on. The prices are great especially for the quality and serving sizes. The owner and her Mom were so sweet and great to talk to and her husband is the chef. We will definitely visit again!!

Excellent service. Food is very fresh and tastes amazing. Portions are good. The place was packed on a Thursday morning. Only 2 servers but they rocked it out and service was quick! Reminded us of the small diners we have back home in Michigan. Also nice to see on the menu the local places that they get their food from.

Awesome Café. Delicious! Meal portions great. Menu items common and uncommon as well. The atmosphere is perfect for a morning meal. The staff is Superior. I can't add photos because the food is so good I forget till I'm half way through, maybe next time.

05May2023. My daughter and I visited here this morning. This place is very quant. We ordered the Buffalo chicken egg rolls. It came with blue cheese. We loved them. My daughter did not care for their ranch dressing. I ordered the breakfast sampler. The pancakes were fluffy and hot. It was great. Plenty of food! My daughter ordered the meat omelet. She really enjoyed their apple juice. The food has great taste and large portion sizes. The cookie treat with the check was a great touch!

It came out and looked so delicious, but one bite determined that wasn't the case. The burgers had soaked blood through the bun and had no taste. The turkey club tasted like it came out of the vending machine. They still had Easter decorations up, and it wasn't a clean place. Disappointing, will not return and suggest you don't waste your time or money.

This place is small, but a mighty good portion size! The food taste great and the staff is so nice! This place will easily become a regular for me. If your deciding on coming here or not, I recommend you give it a try. I don't think you will be disappointed and if you are then you must not like good food, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

I took my son here for breakfast this morning and it was wonderful. I love the little cafe atmosphere and the food was delicious. Every employee was kind and cheerful. We will go here over any chain breakfast place from now on. 😊

The corned beef hash was amazing. I saw it on the menu and expected it to be out of a can, which I wouldn't have been mad about. When it came to the table and I saw that it was made from scratch. It really took it over the edge. My eggs were a little overcooked but nothing to complain about. Grits was very good. The orange juice was the coldest I've ever had at any restaurant(weird compliment, I know lol). I would definitely recommend this place and I'll be back to see what they offer for lunch.

Best breakfast in the county hands down. Try the poppers. Deep fried cheesy grits balls with aïoli. Or just get the cheesy grits. We’ve lived in the south our whole lives and these are the best grits we’ve ever had. Biscuits and gravy is amazing and home made

This place is a sure enough local mom and pop diner! The food is wonderful and the service is friendly.

Our family dined in for lunch at this location. Breakfast and lunch menu offerings had a good assortment, and they offered breakfast during the lunch time. Portion size was good, taste was outstanding and pricing was reasonable. Overall, nice location for a solid home cooked meal at a fair price. We will visit again for sure when in town.

Ate here for the first time today after learning my work team was being dissolved. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was so good that I was in a cheery mood the rest of the day. 10/10.
